Cine TV Contest #35: Favorite Film Villain - Dhoom Series

Review by @viviehardika · 1408d · of Dhoom · 1 view

As I write this post, in my country it's still 1 A.M. I'm at work, on the night shift so I have time to write this challenge. I've been doing blog walking lately and have a lot of challenges that I want to take on.

So yeah, It is my submission for the Cine Contest challenge #35. This week, the theme is interesting to talk about.

But before I discuss films that are suitable for discussion, I want to say that over time, the world of cinema is not only about protagonists. Now filmmakers have variations on their films where the Villain character can be the most highlighted in a film. Call it the Joker, Voldemort in the Harry Potter series, and many more. Their journey as Villain characters is still interesting to follow from different perspectives.

Alright, let's get started...

Dhoom Series

  • Whole Storyline

Dhoom series revolves around the journey of two police officers, ACP Jai Dixit and Ali Akbar in catching big criminals who are hard to catch. Often they are deceived by the villains in each series.

The film is an action comedy film with very good songs to accompany your sports.

As far as I'm concerned about Bollywood films (only Bollywood, not the whole of India Cinemas), Bollywood films also have variations on the main characters. In the past, the villain character would be played by actors who did not have the same popularity as the protagonist. Their existence is not even known as supporting actors. They are only in the credit title but no one will give them an award for their professionalism. For that, in the past, A-class actors didn't want to play a villain in a film.

However, over time, in the millennium era, a film with the main character Villain was made. It started with the film Dhoom which was released in 2004, where the main character is a villain. This film became a success and then another series was made with class-A actors playing the villains.

And ya, in my opinion, for making villains, Bollywood cinemas are the best.

I will not talk about the plot of each series, I just wanna talk about the villains.

Villain in Dhoom Series

----
  • John Abraham in Dhoom 1

John Abraham in Dhoom 1 is the most powerful character besides the main character who is portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan as police there. In the first series, John plays a driving robber who is targeted by two cops. Thanks to his excellent character, he was awarded two awards.

  • Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2

After the success of the first series, the filmmakers produced a second series with the villain character played by an equally popular actor. He is Hrithik Roshan who plays a thief of valuables who cannot be caught by the same two cops. He was able to escape the pursuit of the police because of a very perfect disguise.

source photo this all of his disguise in the movie. My favorite disguise when he is looks like statue in the museum for steal the diamond. photo source Can you guess where the stealer?

In this film the villain is not only Hrithik, but also Aishwarya Rai, the former Miss World 2000. His character in the film is also as strong as the character played by Hrithik Roshan.

  • Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3

source

In the third series, Aamir Khan plays a circus performer who robs a bank as an act of revenge for the death of his father. He plays multiple roles in this film.

For me, of the three series, the third series is the worst. Although starring the most expensive actors compared to the other two series, this film does not have an interesting story compared to the previous two series.

Even so, I have to commend the actor who played the villain. Although his character is stronger than the character of the two cops (which are still played by the same actors), his character doesn't amaze me as much as when I was stunned to see John and Hrithik. I'm tired of the chase action on the streets which is like a repetition of the first series.

I think this movie series changed perspective about Villain cause this series like start the trend of Villains as one of strong character in a movie.

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.

Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author.

A look at the Dhoom movie series gives an excellent insight into the various weaknesses in the problems of different countries. As a result of this, it is possible to understand how beautiful is weaker than the villains despite being improved through modernity. As a result, it can be said that people are surprised and happy to see the misuse of modern technology in the movie and the negative characters can also be learned to take the place of mentors.

Abhishek and Ali's role as cops shows that they are desperately chasing injustice. But it is not possible to catch it in any way. In all cases the villain character is shown to be brilliantly successful. Also the justice system has been shown to fail quite nicely in all the series.

The rush of people who once played heroes is slowly making villains more attractive. And so it can be said that the audience has started preferring the villains more than the heroes. Amazing movies are helping to create interest in creating really beautiful villains.

I would like to advise the director to make a fast and furious movie with all the villains of Dhoom Serial in the future. Then a more beautiful Bollywood movie can be found!
