Hi, movie maniac...

There is one movie that when I decided to watch I didn't have any hope except it was a romantic film. At least that's what the poster and title suggest. Apart from the fact that I liked the actors in the film, I thought it was a very light film that would make it suitable to watch it as a companion when working from home. But when I watched it, it raised an unusual issue for a romantic Bollywood film. There is a humanist value to it, and I would say this film is above average.

Gori Teri Pyaar Mein

Gori Teri Pyaar Mein has the meaning Girl, in your love, and tells the story of a man named Sriram who is very rebellious and lives a free life. He was born into a rich family. So free, at the death of his grandmother, he was not present and it made his father angry. Then he was forced to marry a woman of their family's choice, who was of the same race as Sriram's family, named Vashuda. When introduced, Sriram said that he did not really want the matchmaking. Vasudha is very happy to hear that as she too was forced into the matchmaking. He loves other people but is of a different race so they may not be condoned.

Vasudha then tells that her boyfriend is an activist with community organizations. Hearing this, Sriram laughs and says that community activists are very boring like his ex-girlfriend, Dia Sharma.

Sriram then told how his girlfriend was when they were still dating. Dia is a person who cares deeply about the environment and the interests of the people. In one case, the interests of the crowd conflicted with Sriram's family company so Dia became angry at Sriram's selfish and unselfish decision. They then broke up.

After telling Vasudha everything, Vasudha said that Sriram loved Dia very much. Vasudha then told Sriram to run away from his marriage in pursuit of Dia. After passing through doubts, Sriram finally pursued his love again, even though Dia had to go to remote villages.

  • Not A Common Romance

These films are no ordinary romances, as they also convey a moral message. In this film, when the main character goes to a remote village, it is very clear how the condition of the village is far from the city. Traveling very long distances and difficult transportation. This is a portrait of villages that have not been touched by the government. Then there is access to the village which makes it sad, where the bridge to connect the village to other villages is only a bridge made of a rope. This prevents children in the village from going to school because it is very dangerous to cross the bridge. Then there is a scene where a pregnant woman is about to give birth, but because access to the hospital has to go through a bridge, Dia Sharma finally helps the mother give birth, which is quite risky because she is not a medical expert.

Why do I say this is not a film with an ordinary romance, because there are no intimate scenes like in other romantic films. The focus of the film even lies on the humanist of the main character, Dia Sharma. Where at the time of building the bridge, they actually built a bridge for the village. This is very cool.

Besides, the role of Vasudha is really beautiful. It's my favorite actress, Shraddha Kapoor. In this movie, she has a friendly appearance cause at that time, Shraddha is still a newcomer in the Bollywood industry.

  • The Hole of These Movie

Even though I like this movie's theme, there is an annoying thing about this movie. It was the profession of Sriram. It looks like he is suddenly an architect then can draw a bridge.

For those who want to watch this movie, this movie is already on Netflix. I give 4 out of 5 stars for the humanist value displayed by Dia Sharma.

Vivie Hardika

I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.

Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author.
