My Favorite TV Series: Saraswatichandra

Hi movie lovers..

Being consistent to post is difficult nowadays, but I have to try it even though I have no idea what issues should I post. Formerly, I wanna review a book that I just finish, but I think I have to write a draft first so it won't be just a short review.

Then when I woke up, I scrolled Tiktok and randomly found a series of videos. It was my fav TV series back then in a romantic genre which I loved. Besides, the cast was so beautiful and handsome. So I wanna talk about this TV series and why I loved just this series more than others. As you know that so many series with long episodes but this series is special for me.

The series was named and created by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, my favorite director in Bollywood, so that is why I watched this series. Then, this series is adapted from a novel same title by Govardhanram Tripathi. Hence, I was interested to watch this series back then.

The third reason why I like more is the main cast, Jennifer Winget and Gautam Rode. Jennifer is gorgeous as I thought she was not pure Indian due to her first name. In fact, she is pure Indian which is not like other pure Indians. She is like a half-blood.

Then talk about Gautam Rode. I am amazed by his looks, Salman Khan jaise ( looks like young Salman Khan). Which is, Salman Khas is my top idol in Bollywood. His young face is really handsome, but unfortunately, He has not that young looks again cause he is getting old.

Then their chemistry is exploded it!

It is been a long time since I left romance stuff, like movies, dramas, series, or books cause I started to become anti-romantic for a moment. But talking about Indian TV series, of course, I can not refuse that their entire screen production was romantic.

So let's become romance addicted again.

Cause a video on Tiktok, I go to their youtube channel and re-watch this series and can feel the same vibe as when I first time watched it. I can say that this series will be my all-time favorite.

Saraswatichandra told about Saraswatichandra (true name Chandra, but due to his love for his mom, he added his mom's name in his name), the son of the wealthy person, Laxminandan Vyas in Dubai. Mr. Vyas wanna Saras to marry Kumud Desai, the daughter of his best friend, Chaturvedi Desai in Gujarat. Saras refuse to marry the woman that he is never loved before, so he tells Kumud his objection about their matchmaking. Whereas, Kumud already agrees with that matchmaking cause the picture of Saras looks like the man in her dream. She is the object that matchmaking at first, but her Dad told her that the man that she saw in her dream was looking alike Saras, so Kumud accepted it!

Kumud is angry and hates Saras when reads the letter from Saras. Kumud then challenges Saras to tell her father about his objection. Due to wanna be a good man, Saras come to Gujarat to reject Kumud by himself. When Saras come to Gujarat, Desai Family greets him very well without knowing about his plan. He never has time, to tell the truth, cause Desai Family is already excited about Saras's unexpected visit.

On another side, Kumud becomes more hateful toward Saras but Saras becomes more curious cause never sees Kumud's face. Saras try hardly then become frustrated to know how beautiful Kumud so he still stays in that family. Then he slowly like Kumud without realizing it, meanwhile Kumud already likes him first.

In the kites games, Saras finally can see how beautiful Kumud, and smiling for a long time cause he feels victorious.

Then the series shows how Kumud and Saras's love is improving from hating to loving each other. It is cheap but cute at the same time.

Because this is TV series, of course the plot is slow but not too slow like another TV series. This series has a Sanjay Leela Bhansali movies vibe like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, etc with showed traditional clothes. I really like Kumud's clothes, so beautiful.

Besides romance, this series is about family, so we would see how big the Desai family meanwhile depicts a real Indian family who is big siblings in the same home. It is glad to see how that big family love and helps each other, and it works.

For TV series in India, It will not be short episodes. There is an unlogic plot cause it is soap opera. So this series also. They accomplished more than 200 episodes in 2 seasons.

A little hate for this series is about how hard Kumud and Saras marry even though they already matchmaking by their parents. There is the stepmother of Saras who is stopping it and making Kumud have to marry another man and Saras can not do anything to stop that wedding. Poor Saras and his love.

In this series, there is no main villain who is really evil. The villain take turns so I can recommend this series as a family show.

But finally, in the end, they can be together ever after like in the Disney story. Hohoho...
