Hola comunidad de Scrobble, hoy les traigo la segunda película de los hombres de negro. Algo que me alegra mucho es que cada peli cuenta una historia diferente y cada una tiene algo relevante que aporta y no como otras que solo parecen estar de relleno.

🎬 Un poco de contexto
Recordemos que K y J son dos agentes de la organización que controla los temas de alienígenas en la Tierra.
En esta segunda parte, K deja ese trabajo y se convierte en una persona “normal”, con un trabajo aburrido y viviendo sólo. Mientras tanto J había avanzado bastante y conseguido mucha experiencia en la organización.
Hasta que llega un nuevo caso donde la alienígena Serleena adopta la apariencia de una modelo para conseguir la Luz de Zartha, un artefacto que podría destruir un mundo entero. J se entera que el único que conocía la ubicación de esta luz era K, así que va en su búsqueda.
K ya había hecho su vida y J tuvo que “devolverle” la memoria para que lo ayudara en la misión, lo logra y emprenden la aventura en búsqueda de la luz siguiendo diferentes pistas que él mismo había dejado.
Resulta que una joven camarera, Laura, tenía relación con esta luz y hacen todo lo posible para que la alienígena Serleena no obtuviera el aparato. Pero la única solución a todo esto era enviar a Laura a su planeta y así salvar la Tierra.
Hasta aquí con el breve resumen, de ahora en adelante se vienen muchos spoilers, así que si aún no viste la peli ve rápido a verla y luego vuelve para seguir con mi post.

💭 Lo que más me gustó de esta segunda parte
Esta segunda peli me gustó mucho porque podemos ver a K en su vida común y corriente, ahí me surgen varias dudas, por ejemplo, según las noticias, él había despertado después de haber estado en coma por mucho tiempo y además tenía una esposa.
Pero luego parece que las cosas no funcionaron bien con ella, así que se separaron, eso fue muy cruel porque J le dice lo mismo y que, básicamente K era el culpable de que esa relación no durara.
Entonces por ejemplo ahí podemos ver que como J fue reclutado, K también debió haber pasado por lo mismo, además recuerdo que en una escena él estaba viendo a una mujer en Google Maps a una mujer y seguramente era su ex esposa.
Una de las escenas que más me gusta es cuando J trata de convencer a K de que él antes era un agente del MIB y que donde se encontraba trabajando era un lugar lleno de alienígenas que vivían de forma normal en la Tierra. Y que además por eso se sentía muy a gusto trabajando ahí.
Eso significa que K no tenía miedo a esos seres, sino todo lo contrario, los consideraba como iguales, como si fueran sus amigos. Es gracioso cuando se van mostrando cada uno de los alienígenas y las formas en las que se escondían dentro de esas máquinas o de cuerpos de humanos.
K logra recuperar la memoria, costó bastante porque solo podía hacerlo con una máquina, pero a la vez la malvada de la película hacía todo lo posible para que no pase eso por lo que contrata ayudantes para matar a K o al menos para que les dijera dónde estaba esa luz.
K era el mejor de los agentes, porque luego de recuperar la memoria recordó que había dejado muchas pistas por si todo eso pasara, es decir, que él ya había pensado en el futuro y en la posibilidad de que se diera este problema, que su compañero no podría con ese trabajo, y él tendría que volver.
Algo que no queda muy claro es por qué decidió retirarse del MIB, pero creo que básicamente ya era mayor y estaba agotado, por eso también reclutó a J, para que lo reemplazara. Pero quizá al no funcionar su relación amorosa, decidió volver para tener un objetivo de vida.
Es algo que creo y quizá sea cierto, si alguien sabe más detalles puede dejarlo en comentarios. Y bueno continuando…
Siguiendo todas las pistas, que eran básicamente, fotos, latas de pescado, llaves y un gran casillero, todo apuntaba a que Laura (la chica de la pizzería) tenía esa luz y así fue. Ella poseía un collar que creía que era la luz, pero la verdad era que ella en sí lo era.
Me agrada esta parte porque los malos la fueron a buscar y hasta mataron a su jefe, pero ella no sintió miedo ni vio a los seres como algo raro, creo que ahí también te da una pista de que realmente ella también venía de otro planeta.
Además, según K, cada vez que ella lloraba se ponía a llover en la ciudad, demostrando así que era una princesa de otro mundo. Y logra congeniar muy bien con J, hasta enamorarse, pero lastimosamente ella tuvo que irse para salvar a los planetas.
Creo que era la pareja ideal para J pero como siempre pasa en este tipo de películas, este tipo de trabajos no permite tener familia, ya sea por el tiempo o porque los malos pueden usarlo en tu contra. Pero fue lindo que ambos se conocieran.
👽 Lo que más me sorprendió
Otra cosa que me vuela la cabeza de esta peli es descubrir que básicamente, K podría ser el padre de Laura, porque también se había enamorado de una alienígena y de ese amor surgió Laura. Si estoy mal corríjanme en comentarios jeje, pero con los comentarios que lanzaba K a J sobre el amor y enamorarse de alguien de otra especie, da a entender que él pasó por lo mismo.
Como era de esperarse los malos tampoco ganaron esta vez, K y J lograron matar al alienígena, fue gracioso que usaran el cuerpo de una modelo porque, como era muy bella, todos caían a sus pies y le era más fácil lograr las cosas.
Y gracias a un tipo bicho alienígena que vivía en el subterráneo de la ciudad, lograron eliminarla, si bien lo dejaban vivir ahí, ya estaba sobre aviso de que no debía intentar comerse algún tren. Pero esta vez fue de ayuda para huir del villano jeje.
La pelea entre los malos y J fue muy graciosa, más parecía el juego de “té pegó y tú me pegas” y vemos quién gana jeje. Al ser seres con diferentes apariencias, cada uno tenía algo gracioso para poder vencerlos, golpes, patadas, pero el más difícil fue el que tenía como clones, que tardó bastante tiempo en derrotarlos más porque eran pequeños, volaban y eran súper molestos.
Laura logra sobrevivir y la mandan de vuelta a su planeta en una nave, logrando así salvar a ambos lugares. J se pone triste, pero a la vez feliz porque su compañero estaba de vuelta, K.
Porque recordemos que él antes de todo esto había desmemorizado a muchos compañeros porque según él, no eran aptos, y creo en parte que fue porque extrañaba mucho a K y no había nadie que pudiera reemplazarlo.
🌌 Para terminar
Por último, algo que también me dejó pensando bastante fue que casi al final de la peli, K revela que su mundo o planeta era algo tan diminuto y pequeño que básicamente estaba guardado en un casillero a escala universal.
Esto sí que te vuela la cabeza, pensar que somos algo tan pequeño y que, prácticamente, nuestra existencia podría no tener importancia, bueno para los que son dueños o controlan más arriba jeje.

Hello, Scrobble community! Today I’m bringing you the second Men in Black movie. Something that really makes me happy is that each movie tells a different story, and each one has something meaningful to offer—unlike others that just seem like filler.
Let’s get started!
🎬 A little background
Remember that K and J are two agents of the organization that handles alien matters on Earth.
In this sequel, K quits that job and becomes a “normal” person, with a boring job and living alone. Meanwhile, J has risen through the ranks and gained a lot of experience within the organization.
That is, until a new case arises in which the alien Serleena takes on the appearance of a model to obtain the Light of Zartha, an artifact that could destroy an entire world. J learns that the only one who knew the location of this light was K, so he sets out to find him.
K had already moved on with his life, and J had to “restore” his memory so he could help with the mission. He succeeds, and they set out on an adventure in search of the Light, following various clues that K himself had left behind.
It turns out that a young waitress, Laura, was connected to this Light, and they do everything they can to prevent the alien Serleena from obtaining the artifact. But the only solution to all of this was to send Laura back to her planet and thus save Earth.

💭 What I liked most about this sequel
I really liked this second movie because we get to see K in his everyday life, which raises several questions for me. For example, according to the news, he had woken up after being in a coma for a long time and also had a wife.
But then it seems things didn’t work out with her, so they split up—that was really cruel because J tells him the same thing and basically says K was to blame for the relationship not lasting.
So, for example, we can see that just as J was recruited, K must have gone through the same thing. I also remember a scene where he was looking up a woman on Google Maps—it was probably his ex-wife.
One of my favorite scenes is when J tries to convince K that he used to be an MIB agent and that the place where he was working was full of aliens living normal lives on Earth. And that’s also why he felt so comfortable working there.
That means K wasn’t afraid of those beings—quite the opposite; he considered them equals, as if they were his friends. It’s funny when they show each of the aliens and the ways they were hiding inside those machines or in human bodies.
K manages to regain his memory—it took quite a bit of effort because he could only do it with a machine—but at the same time, the villain of the film did everything in her power to prevent that from happening, so she hired henchmen to kill K or at least to force him to reveal where that light was.
K was the best of the agents because, after regaining his memory, he remembered that he’d left behind many clues in case any of this happened—in other words, he’d already thought about the future and the possibility that this problem would arise, that his partner wouldn’t be able to handle the job, and that he’d have to return.
One thing that isn’t entirely clear is why he decided to retire from the MIB, but I think it was basically because he was getting older and was burned out—which is also why he recruited J to replace him. But perhaps, since his romantic relationship wasn’t working out, he decided to return to give his life a new purpose.
That’s what I think, and it might be true; if anyone knows more details, feel free to leave them in the comments. Anyway, moving on…
Following all the clues—which were basically photos, cans of fish, keys, and a large locker—everything pointed to Laura (the girl from the pizzeria) having that light, and that’s exactly what happened. She had a necklace she thought was the light, but the truth was that she herself was the light.
I like this part because the bad guys went after her and even killed her boss, but she wasn’t afraid and didn’t see those beings as anything strange—I think that also gives you a clue that she really did come from another planet, too.
Also, according to K, every time she cried, it would start raining in the city, proving that she was a princess from another world. She got along very well with J—they even fell in love—but unfortunately, she had to leave to save the planets.
I think she was the perfect match for J, but as always happens in these kinds of movies, this line of work doesn’t allow for a family—whether because of the time commitment or because the villains could use it against you. But it was nice that they got to know each other.
👽 What Surprised Me the Most
Another thing that blows my mind about this movie is discovering that, basically, K could be Laura’s father, because he, too, had fallen in love with an alien, and Laura was born from that love. If I’m wrong, correct me in the comments, haha, but from the comments K made to J about love and falling for someone from another species, it seems like he went through the same thing.
As expected, the bad guys didn’t win this time either; K and J managed to kill the alien. It was funny that they used a model’s body because, since she was so beautiful, everyone fell at her feet, and it was easier for her to get things done.
And thanks to an alien bug-like creature living in the city’s underground, they managed to eliminate her. Even though they let him live there, he’d already been warned not to try to eat any trains. But this time, he helped them escape from the villain, hehe.
The fight between the bad guys and J was really funny—it was more like a game of “you hit me, I hit you,” and we’ll see who wins, hehe. Since they were beings with different appearances, each one had a funny way to defeat them—punches, kicks—but the hardest one was the one with clones; it took quite a while to defeat them, especially because they were small, they flew, and they were super annoying.
Laura manages to survive, and they send her back to her planet in a spaceship, thus saving both places. J feels sad, but at the same time happy because his partner, K, is back.
Because let’s remember that before all this, he had erased the memories of many companions because, according to him, they weren’t suitable—and I think, in part, it was because he missed K so much and there was no one who could replace him.
🌌 To wrap up
Lastly, something else that really got me thinking was that near the end of the movie, K reveals that his world—or planet—was so tiny and small that it was basically stored in a locker on a universal scale.
That really blows your mind—to think that we’re something so small and that, practically speaking, our existence might not matter at all—well, at least not to those who own or control things higher up, hehe.
