ENGLISH VERSION

Rock with you: My favorite MJ song

Hello community, this will be my first time doing a review on a song, it feels strange to do it hehe.

I got to know Michael Jackson since I was a child, I think on TV you could always hear or see some of his most famous songs like Thriller. But I got to know this specific song when I was a bit older.

There was a time when my fandom was so intense that I ended up buying all the DVDs of their songs and concerts. I still have them, and even though I might be missing a few, as a good fan, I had almost everything, haha.

Listening to each DVD in the collection, this song caught my attention, especially the dance and the video it has. It's a romantic, danceable song with slow music.

I think I fell in love at first sight haha, since then I think I connected with the song and now if you ask me what my favorite MJ song is, I would say "Rock with You," among others haha.

Now, if we start exploring the lyrics of the song, we can see that it achieved its goal, especially this part:

Girl, close your eyes
Let that rhythm get into you
Don't try to fight it
There ain't nothin' that you can do
Relax your mind
Lay back and groove with mine

I love the voice, the melody, and how Michael sings it with so much love and tenderness.

Now, if we look at the other part of the song, we can see that it is somewhat repetitive, and it even has a simple but catchy lyric. I think that always happens when we get obsessed with a song and can't get it out of our heads, it's funny and frustrating at the same time haha.

Obviously, with this song and being an MJ fan, one can imagine dancing and singing with him. Yes, it sounds cheesy, but it would be very nice if it happened, at least in our dreams.

And I close by sharing this other verse of the song that goes hand in hand with what I mentioned to you:

Out on the floor
There ain't nobody there but us
Girl, when you dance
There's a magic that must be love

I advise you to listen to this song and dance with your partner, it will surely be very romantic and will add a beautiful touch to your nite.

Thank you for reading, see you in the next musical post.
