After the investigation was reopened and Cupp been away in the jungle for some time, she had to return to the White House having listing to the hearing of The Third Man, Double. But this time, she has a total time of fourty eight hours to complete and solve her case, with the president close friend and adviser, Harry helping her with what she will be needing.
Harry want the investigation to be closed as fast as possible because the whole scenario keeps bringing an unwanted reputation to President Morgan's administration. But Cupp has been in the game of always taking her time with no rush and was not ready to be influenced by any political pressure or satisfy them.
As Cupp entered the white house, she observed that a lot of decorations and adjustments have been made compared to the last time she was there. Lilly has been in charge of the renovations, while Elliot and President Morgan have moved out of the residence to stay somewhere across the street in the Blair House. Cupp also wanted A.B journal so she visited Jasmine removed office to get it. And when she looked through the keys she found on A.B body on the night of the murder in the game room, she discovered it was not his,and it belongs to another staff. This gave another hint to the investigation. Who owns the key.
And this time, the investigation was directed towards engineer Bruce who had a strained relationship with A.B. Bruce has done different things to make sure the President showers was bringing out very hot water as the president likes it, he even consulted experts and went to different places to find to solution, and when he finally met the president's demand and he achieved everything, A.B only offered him a little recognition and gave him another work to fix immediately.
And during the state dinner, Bruce was not supposed to be on duty, but got called upon to fix Tripp Morgan's clogged toilet and after fixing it, he went around and traced if it was not leaking somewhere then ended up tracing it to the Yellow Oval Room, the place that was delivered to the where A.B was poisoned and killed.
One of the housekeeper, Elsyie who was believed to accommodate everyone also became a central to the on going new investigation. A.B believed that she lied not to have been arrested on her job application, but it happened that she has been arrested before a long time ago which A.B confronted her in the Yellow Oval Room. She got afraid she might be sacked after A.B told her to see him the following morning after ty state dinner. Elsyie got so distracted that she told the engineer that she was going to kill A.B after he found her crying, and shortly after, he found her running out of the Yellow Oval Room with a candle stick on her hand. But when Bruce approached the room, he found A.B's body on the floor beside a smashed vase.
And what got me by surprised was the Bruce and Elsyie are secretly in love even though it was against the house protocols. They have been together for 516 days and did engaged of gifts to eachother. But what happened on the night of A.B's death left them confused that one of them must have done the killing because after Elsyie told Bruce what happened between her and A.B, he promised to take care of it. While Bruce also believed that she killed A.B and that was why she moved the body to protect her. Thier confusing left me confused while watching and even left Cupp wondering whether they both have misunderstood what happened or either of them was lying.
Before this episode got to the end, Cupp was very sure that A.B had been killed in the yellow oval room, she she did not identified who actually murdered him. And this left me with one question after half of the evidence has been shown. Who killed A.B.
