Many people have dreams and whenever they wake up, they forget those dreams. Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to have control over your dreams? Is there anything special about dreams? Some people support the fact that dreams do come true while others don't. Permit me to take you on a journey through the dreamlands.

Released in 2022 and directed by Francis Lawrence Slumberlands is all about dreams. First of all, I have to commend whoever came up with that name. You must have come across the saying "wake up from your slumber", well this movie shows people who are rather happy to sleep. I always thought that slumber was a negative kind of sleep; but I was wrong.
Second, I like how this movie began with a piece of finely presented poetry. Any one who loves poetry would immediately be enveloped from the opening scene of the movie.
Plot
A little girl(Nemo) discovers a secret map that leads to the dreamworld. With the help of an outlaw, she moves through dreams (both her dreams and other people's dreams) in a means to fulfil one wish of hers.
Unfortunately for Nemo, her dad died at sea and her mom had died when she was just a baby, leaving her to the care of her "boring uncle" who owned a doorknob company.
The outlaw in Nemo's dreams tells her that she could get a chance to speak with her father once again if she gets hold of a pearl and so, they set out in search of the pearls. As expected, this journey wasn't all rosey and flowery. I'd like to elaborate on what terrible things happened but I'd let you find out yourself. What are those terrible things that you think could happen in your dreams and in other people's dreams?.
There were basically four top casts in this movie; Nemo, her uncle–Philip (who has a counter ego named Flip), Peter–her dad and Green.
Nemo
She plays the role of a very courageous young girl. Losing a parent can be very hard, then imagine losing two. She is young, afraid of being alone and just wants to spend the rest of her life with her dad, even if it means being trapped in the dream land forever.
Flip
Flip plays the role of uncle Philip's counter ego. He is an outlaw and is on the list of the top most wanted criminals. I had never seen someone so happy to be number one on the "most wanted outlaw/criminal" list.
Flip guides Nemo in her dreams, step by step to where the pearls are. His motif for finding the pearls was totally different from that of Nemo's and for a minute I thought he would backstab little Nemo.
Green
I love movies where women play daring roles and Green was the action lady in this movie. She wasn't exactly the bad person as she was just doing her job.
She plays the role of a fiesty cop from the bureau of subconscious activities (BOSA). She aces her role everytime the spotlight is given to her.
Peter
Peter plays the role of Nemo's dad. They lived in a lighthouse and Peter made it a point of duty to teach Nemo the ways of the sea.
He died mysteriously at sea but he had given Nemo all she needed to survive in the "waking world".

I would totally recommend this movie for anyone as it is a great watch. This movie portrays love, bravery, determination and a whole lot of other positive characteristics. I hope you have a great time watching.
