In my previous post, I talked about this series. A spin-off of the famous series "The Big Bang Theory," it actually follows the trajectory of the series "Young Sheldon." After its finale, fans were very excited to continue following the Cooper family's routines, and almost immediately, the series that would follow Georgie Cooper and his family after he got married was announced. This one is very interesting because of the way it separates itself from its other spin-off series while still respecting them. Although it doesn't say much about the TBBT characters, there are mentions and references that thrill us every time they appear.

Un spin-off de la famosa serie de “The Big Bang Theory” que realmente sigue la trayectoria de la serie “Young Sheldon”, ya que luego de su final quedaron muy emocionados por seguir las rutinas de la familia Cooper, y casi de inmediato se anunció la serie que seguiría la vida de Georgie Cooper y su familia luego de casarse. Esta es muy interesante por la forma en la que se separa de sus otras series derivadas, pero respetándolas, pues aunque no se dice mucho sobre los personajes de TBBT, sí hay menciones y referencias que nos emocionan cada vez que tienen presencia.
“Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” follows the lives of Georgie and Mandy, relatives of Sheldon Cooper, and is set at the time when Sheldon decides to go to college, while we see how they move forward from the loss of their father, but also seeing the way in which they mature little by little. It must be remembered that Georgie and Mandy, when they met, was a bit controversial, since he was a minor and she was very old, giving them a problem when she became pregnant and they discovered that they lied to each other about their age, creating chaos in their families, but the situation really ends up uniting them.
“Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” sigue la vida de Georgie y Mandy, familiares de Sheldon Cooper, y está ambientada en el momento en el que Sheldon decide irse a la universidad, mientras vemos cómo van avanzando de la pérdida de su padre, pero también viendo la manera en la que van madurando poco a poco. Hay que recordar que Georgie y Mandy, cuando se conocieron, fue algo un poco polémico, ya que este era menor de edad y ella muy mayor de edad, dándoles un problema al momento en el que ella se embaraza y descubren que entre ellos se mintieron en la edad, generando caos en sus familias, pero realmente la situación termina uniéndolos.
As the series title suggests, these are their first marriages, which implies that the series finale will likely revolve around their divorce and subsequent separation. While it's difficult to imagine this couple separating, it was somewhat foreshadowed from the start of their marriage, making it all the more cruel to grow attached to this duo only for them to ultimately part ways. I think I'll have to prepare myself for when that moment arrives; meanwhile, let's watch them overcome their challenges and remain connected despite their different paths.
Tal como indica el nombre de la serie, estos están viviendo su primer matrimonio, lo que indica que se espera que el final de la serie sea sobre cómo se divorcian y tienen que tomar destinos distintos. A pesar de que es duro pensar que esta pareja se vaya a separar en un punto, esto ya era algo que se veía venir desde que comenzó su matrimonio, por lo que me parece cruel que nos encariñen con este dúo y al final estén destinados a separarse. I'm generally struck by how these characters have evolved over the years. When I started watching Young Sheldon, I knew them as children, and with each season, we saw them rapidly developing the lives depicted in The Big Bang Theory, and how they navigated those lives with humor in the best way possible. As a fun fact, there's a scene in this series where we see his father in a dream, and it switches to a single-camera format, the same format used for Young Sheldon, suggesting the profound impact of his father's sudden death.
A mí, en general, me genera impacto notar cómo han ido estos personajes a lo largo de los años. Cuando comencé a ver Young Sheldon, los conocí a estos como unos niños, y realmente en cada temporada fuimos notando que más rápido que nunca estos llegarían a llevar la vida que se nos dice en TBBT, y cómo van llevando su vida con comedia de la mejor manera posible. Y como dato curioso, hay una escena de esta serie en donde vemos a su padre en un sueño y cambia a formato monocámara, que fue el que se grabó Young Sheldon, dando a entender el cambio que generó la muerte repentina de él.
This series is still in production and there's no word yet on when it will end, so its third season will begin soon, where we hope to see more of these great characters. And although it doesn't have the fame one might expect, this series has been gradually winning over its fans, as it features a different story that blends with what we already know and explores a phase of the Cooper family that we all want to see.
Hasta ahora esta serie sigue en producción y aún no se anuncia cuándo será su final, por lo que va a empezar pronto su tercera temporada, en donde esperamos ver más de estos grandes personajes. Y a pesar de que no tiene la fama que uno creería, esta serie se ha ido ganando poco a poco a sus fans, ya que cuenta con una historia diferente que se une con lo que ya conocemos y explora una fase de la familia Cooper que todos queremos conocer.
