A couple of years ago, I was reminiscing about a Scooby-Doo series I remembered watching on TV, and I finally found it on Netflix. I started watching it with the same high expectations I'd had for years, and I was definitely right; it's truly worth watching, as it captures the classic essence of the iconic Mystery Solvers gang we've known for so long. Without a doubt, this is my favorite of all the Scooby-Doo series, and it brings back a very fond memory of my maternal grandmother, who loved it. I remember many nights watching the classic animated series with her.

La comencé a ver con las mismas expectativas que tenía de ella desde hace años, y sin duda no me equivoqué; esta realmente vale mucho la pena ver, ya que tiene la clásica esencia del icónico grupo Resuelvemisterios que hemos visto desde hace muchos años. As I mentioned, its chronology is excellent; the story unfolds in each episode in an epic and precise manner. Although the series is very well made, its short run and production were surrounded by controversy, which has kept it a fascinating case study to this day. While there's nothing inherently wrong with the series, it was marketed to a very young audience, and although that didn't hinder its positive reception across all age groups, some viewers were alarmed by several suggestive scenes. And while I'm not entirely sure, I believe it was the way the story developed that led to its cancellation after the second season.
Como ya dije, su cronología es muy buena; continúan la historia en cada episodio de manera épica y con precisión. Aunque esta serie está muy bien hecha, su corta duración y producción estuvo rodeada de polémicas que hasta ahora mantienen a la serie como todo un caso digno de conocer. Aunque en sí no hay nada malo con la serie, esta estaba promocionada para un público muy joven, y aunque eso no detuvo su buena recepción de todas las edades, hubo quienes se alertaron por muchas escenas que suben el tono. Y aunque no estoy segura de esto, creo que fue la manera en la que la historia se desarrolló la que hizo que esta fuese finalizada en su segunda temporada.
Scenes with a morbid atmosphere, like those with Daphne and Freddy, the relationship between Shaggie and Velma, and the way the story took a dark turn, lend credence to its ending. However, I also like to think they ended it to avoid damaging its already positive reception by dragging out storylines. But since there haven't been official explanations, there's still a lot of speculation surrounding it. Likewise, it was obviously a huge success, and some agree that it only had two seasons, as it's admirable that they don't try to milk every successful series.
Escenas con el ambiente morboso como lo hay con Daphne y Freddy, la relación de Shaggie y Velma y la manera en que tomaba un rumbo oscuro la historia, dan lógica sobre su final, aunque también me agrada pensar que la terminaron para no dañarla con alargamiento de historias que fueran a dañar la recepción positiva que esta llevaba. Pero como ha habido explicaciones oficiales, esta lleva mucha especulación detrás de ella. De igual manera, obviamente esta fue un total éxito, y hay quienes están de acuerdo con la idea de que haya tenido solo 2 temporadas, ya que es de admirar que no quieran exprimir cada una de las series que tienen éxito.
This series is still available on Netflix and HBO Max; it's definitely one of those shows you can watch multiple times and it won't disappoint. I've watched it several times myself, especially back when I had it on DVD.
