In Hollywood, there are certain actors who serve as a benchmark for specific genres; for instance, I’ve always considered Jason Statham to be one of the best action stars out there. Obviously, there are different tiers—a hierarchy that distinguishes one actor from another—but Scott Adkins, the lead in this film, is undeniably one of those reliable performers who consistently delivers fast-paced movies packed with great action. One Last Shot proves that you can make an entertaining film even with a modest script; you don't need a complex backstory to enjoy the experience. I say this because plots involving military personnel or former service members almost invariably feature some form of lingering resentment or an unsettled score that eventually leads to betrayal.

En Hollywood hay ciertos actores que uno siempre tiene como referencia para determinado tipo de películas, por ejemplo, siempre he pensado que uno de los mejores actores de acción que hay es Jason Stathan. Obviamente hay rangos, hay una jerarquía que hace que tal actor no sea igual al otro pero si es que cierto que el protagonista de este film, Scott Adkins, es uno de esos actores que siempre, pero siempre está y entrega unas películas bastante movidas y llenas de buena acción. One Last Shot es un ejemplo de que con poco nivel de guion puedes hacer una película entretenida, no necesitas manejar un trasfondo muy elaborado para disfrutar de algo y esto lo digo porque en las tramas en donde hay militares o tipos que sirvieron alguna vez por lo general habrá algún tiempo de rencor, deuda pendiente, que eventualmente llevará a una traición.

What we have here is a story of pure, unadulterated resentment. Jake Harris (Scott Adkins) is a veteran Navy SEAL who is called away from an ongoing operation to join a team tasked with neutralizing a threat. It turns out that a man named Eliot Carter—a former comrade of Harris’s with whom he shares the kind of history typical of wartime—is threatening the world; yes, literally the entire planet, with the plan he intends to execute. The goal is to make the United States suffer for the treatment he and some of his fellow soldiers endured during their missions—grievances such as the failure to care for the families of fallen comrades, a lack of recognition and support, and so on. How does he plan to exact this revenge? In spectacular fashion—at least in theory.

Lo que tenemos aquí es una historia de resentimiento puro y duro. Jake Harris (Scott Adkins) es un veterano Navy Seal que se encontraba en una operación cuando es llamado para que forme parte de un equipo con el que se pretende neutralizar una amenaza. Resulta que un tal Eliot Carter, quien fuera compañero de Harris en el pasado y con el cual hay una historia de vida de esas típicas de las guerras, está amenazando al mundo; si, literalmente a todo el planeta con el plan que quiere llevar a cabo. La idea de todo es que Estados Unidos sufra por los tratos que recibió él y algunos de sus compañeros al momento de estar en diferentes misiones, cosas como no hacerse cargo de la familias de los que fueron dado de baja, falta de reconocimiento y apoyo, etc. Como planea llevar a cabo esta venganza? - por todo lo alto, en teoría.

Now Harris—recruited by an ageless Dolph Lundgren—must join a special team to infiltrate a fortress, kill Carter, and neutralize the threat. The catch? Harris finds this difficult because Carter is a friend; that is precisely why he was chosen—driven by a twisted sense of morbid curiosity and sadism. The film essentially plays out as a special ops mission, showing the team breaching the complex and fighting their way through it. I enjoy this type of movie because they are usually shot from the operators' perspective; here, for instance, the camera stays right on the men, making the viewer feel like part of the squad and making the action highly entertaining to watch. It’s like a POV shot, without actually being one.

Resulta que de manera sorprendente Carter logró reunir a todo el Estado Mayor Conjunto de los Estados Unidos en un mismo sitio para así lograr conseguir los códigos de las defensas antimisiles del país. Ahora Harris, reclutado por un Dolph Lundgren eterno, deberá, junto a un equipo especial, entrar a una fortaleza para matar a Carter y acabar con la amenaza. Que pasa? - que a Harris eso le cuesta porque Carter es un amigo, de ahí el porque lo llamaron precisamente a él, todo por un tema morbo y sadismo. La película es básicamente una operación especial, veremos como irrumpen en el complejo y van avanzando a través de el. Este tipo de films a mi me gustan porque casi todos los hacen desde la perspectiva de los operadores, por ejemplo acá la cámara va super pegada a estos hombres, el espectador es casi uno más lo que hace que toda la acción sea entretenida de ver. Es como POV pero sin serlo.

As is often the case with this genre, the plot is incredibly straightforward and easy to follow. You have a man with a plan, surrounded by human war machines, facing off against another man—his own friend—who is trying to thwart that plan while also surrounded by trained killers. When they clash, the outcome is exactly what you’d expect. There are solid action sequences, cool use of military tactics, plenty of gunfire, and hand-to-hand combat; it delivers everything you’d want from a movie like this. There’s a complication, though: Carter needs a specific person to unlock access to the system, so the hostage—and her disappearance or whereabouts—becomes a key factor, as she needs to be rescued too. And, naturally, there’s the usual angle where the U.S. acts true to form, feigning ignorance while trying to silence witnesses and eliminate loose ends. Ultimately, I think this is one of those films you enjoy while watching but forget about half an hour after it ends.

La trama, como también pasa en este tipo de historias, es super básica y sin perdidas. Tenemos a un hombre con un plan rodeado por tipos que son maquinas de guerra y a otro, que es su amigo además, tratando de que aquello no prospere rodeado igualmente por hombres entrenados para matar. Cuando el choque se da el resultado es el que se imaginan. Buenas escenas de acción, el uso de la táctica militar está cool, muchos disparos, combates cuerpo a cuerpo, peleas; es y tiene todo lo que realmente esperan que haya en estas películas. Hay un tema y es que a Carter le falta una persona para completar el desbloqueo del acceso por lo que esa rehén y su desaparición/escondite juega un papel porque hay que salvarla también. Y bueno como es obvio también está la parte en la que Estados Unidos es lo que es y pretenden fingir demencia tratando de callar y desaparecer los cabos sueltos. Creo que estamos ante uno de esos films que se te olvidan media hora después de terminarlos pero que los disfrutas viéndolos.

As I’ve said before, some actors are made for specific roles and movies, and Adkins is one of them. He might not be the most refined actor, but when it comes to action, he’s among the best; he always delivers whenever he’s on screen. The thing is, he doesn't have the same profile as others—he lacks the marketing push or name recognition—so he often flies under the radar. Otherwise, everything is very straightforward; there’s nothing particularly noteworthy about it. The ending is exactly what you’d expect—there were no surprises there—which is why the movie ultimately feels flat. In short, it’s an action thriller that plays out like a video game: you arrive at a location and just focus on completing the mission—nothing more. What happens before or after adds no real weight to the plot. It runs for an hour and a half, so at least it’s short and easy to watch. I’ve included the trailer here so you can check it out.

Como ya dije hay actores que están hechos para determinados papeles y películas y Adkins es uno de ellos. No será el más refinado pero en lo que a la acción se refiere es de los mejores, siempre cumple cada vez que aparece. El tema con él es que no es tan relevante como otros, no tiene tanto marketing o nombre y por eso casi siempre pasa desapercibido. De resto todo muy simple, nada que destacar que valga la pena. Su final es el que todos pueden llegar a esperar, en ese sentido no hubo sorpresas, de ahí al porque la película termina siendo plana. En fin, es un thriller de acción, es como un videojuego, llegas a un sitio y tienes que preocuparte por hacer la misión, nada más. Lo que pasa antes y después no le aporta ningún peso a la trama. Dura hora y media, por lo menos es corta y sencilla de ver. Les dejo el tráiler por acá para que le echen un vistazo.

Taare Zameen Par is an Indian drama and educational film released in 2007. It was directed by Aamir Khan and written by Amole Gupte. The film stars Darsheel Safary as Ishaan Awasthi, Aamir Khan as Ram Shankar Nikumbh, and Tisca Chopra as Maya Awasthi. The film tells the story of a young boy who struggles in school, while those around him initially think he’s just lazy.

At first, I’m introduced to Ishaan, a very creative boy who nevertheless faces enormous difficulties in school. Reading, writing, and exams are particularly hard for him, leading his teachers and parents to believe he isn’t trying hard enough. Personally, this part made me realize that a child’s struggles don’t always stem from laziness or a lack of willpower; sometimes, there’s something going on inside them that others don’t understand.

Ishaan has his own world, filled with drawings, colors, and imagination. He is particularly gifted in art, but the adults focus mainly on his grades and academic performance. This is one of the aspects of the film that moved me the most, because I saw a child with great talent who hadn’t yet found anyone capable of truly understanding him.

As his situation becomes increasingly difficult, Ishaan is sent to a boarding school to improve his academic performance. But instead of seeing his problems disappear, he becomes even more withdrawn and gradually drifts away from the things he used to love, especially drawing. Everything begins to change when Ram Shankar Nikumbh, an art teacher, arrives at the school. His teaching style is very different from that of previous teachers. He doesn’t just look at Ishaan’s grades; he tries to understand why Ishaan is struggling so much. By observing his work and his drawings, he realizes that Ishaan has dyslexia, which affects his ability to read and understand texts.

What I particularly appreciated about Nikumbh is that he doesn’t judge Ishaan solely on what he can’t do. He also sees what Ishaan excels at. He explains to Ishaan’s parents that Ishaan is a smart boy who understands things differently from other children. Watching this part, I felt that the movie conveys a beautiful message: every child has a talent of their own, and it’s important to understand that before judging them.

Nikumbh also begins to help Ishaan personally. With patience, he gradually teaches him to read and write, while trying to restore his confidence and rekindle his love for learning and art. Ishaan then begins to understand that his difficulties don’t mean he’s incapable of succeeding. When Ishaan’s parents especially his father—see the change in their son, we realize that they are finally beginning to understand what the child has been through. At the end, Ishaan runs joyfully toward Nikumbh, which, for me, is one of the most beautiful scenes in the film. Personally, this ending filled me with a mix of joy and emotion, because I saw a child who had been misunderstood at first and who had finally found someone who believed in him.

After finishing Taare Zameen Par, what stayed with me wasn’t just Ishaan’s story, but above all the message conveyed by the film. It reminded me that we shouldn’t judge children solely by their academic performance, because everyone has their own abilities and their own way of learning. Nikumbh and Ishaan are truly at the heart of the film, and their relationship lends it a particularly beautiful emotional depth.

When it comes to my favorite fantasy animation movies, Epic by Blue Sky Studios holds a very special place in my heart. Usually, when we watch animated films from big franchises like Disney or Barbie, we already walk in with pre-established expectations about the characters and lore. But Epic built an entire world completely from scratch. The world-building is so breathtakingly detailed that it feels like a universe that easily deserved a sequel or an extended franchise. If I had to give it a score right away, I am handing it a solid 100 out of 100 without a second thought. For anyone who loves magic, nature, and rich fantasy, this movie is an absolute gem.

What immediately blows me away every single time is the sheer attention to detail in the animation. Imagine a single raindrop falling: it isn't just generic water effects on screen. It is animated with so much care, emotion, and intention that you can feel the weight of it. Since the story revolves around tiny people living in a garden that feels like a vast jungle to them, the perspective is handled masterfully. Whether it is the subtle swaying of a leaf or a massive battle scene featuring the Leafmen army, the visual quality is astonishing. Even in scenes where an entire army shoots arrows at once, the animations are perfectly synced without resorting to cheap copy-pasting on background characters. Every single soldier feels distinct and intentionally animated.

One of the absolute highlights for me is Queen Tara. Normally, in fantasy stories, queens are portrayed as weak or defense-less figures who constantly need guards or captains to shield them from danger. But Queen Tara breaks that mold entirely. She is an absolute powerhouse. She uses her magic to control vines, leaps across leaves, and takes direct action in combat. She radiates genuine empowerment. In fact, her scenes are so hype that as an almost 26-year-old guy sitting alone in a closed room, I found myself legitimately shouting "You slay queen, you go girl!" at the screen. That is how infectious and strong her character energy is.

The side characters are crafted with just as much heart and depth. Take Captain Ronin, for example. He is a character burdened by immense duty and responsibility. You can clearly see that he carries deep feelings of love, yet he constantly suppresses those emotions to stay focused and serious about protecting the realm. The way the writers delivered his emotional restraint and sense of sacrifice was incredibly impressive. It gives the film a layer of maturity that elevates it far beyond a simple kids' movie.

Beyond the action and visual splendor, the movie hits the mark with its humor and pacing. It knows exactly when to inject clever jokes into serious situations without undercutting the tension, keeping you completely engaged from start to finish. The plot holds high stakes, and if you set aside the typical expectation that the good guys always win, the climactic scenes genuinely feel like unpredictable cliffhangers. Beneath the fantasy lies a strong core of meaningful lessons about family bonding, passion, duty, and unity. The story wraps up with a deeply satisfying conclusion that honors every character's journey.

Ultimately, I have to give huge props to the writers and the entire team behind Epic. They created something that I can rewatch multiple times without ever getting bored. My one strict piece of advice for anyone planning to watch it: stay far away from low-quality versions. The entire magic of this film relies on its top-tier visual craft, so treat yourself and watch it in the highest animation graphics possible.

These movie is directed and written by Garth Jennings and produced by Illumination, one of my favorites production. Every major character enters it carrying a different problem. Rosita is buried beneath domestic responsibilities. Johnny is caught between his own ambitions and his father's expectations. Ash is trying to establish an identity outside her relationship. Mike represents ambition without much moral discipline. And Meena possesses an extraordinary voice but is almost defeated by her inability to perform publicly.

That makes Meena particularly interesting for me as I practically relate to her struggles. Her problem is not a lack of ability. But fear. The film therefore separates two ideas that are often treated as the same thing: talent and confidence. Someone can possess enormous ability and still be unable to demonstrate it. Meena becomes the clearest representation of that idea because her greatest obstacle is not another contestant. It is the psychological wall between her and the audience.

Meena's character is one of the film's strongest ideas that inspire me. Her eventual performances carry more weight than simply being impressive musical moments. The significance is not only that she can sing. The significance is that she finally allows other people to hear what she has been keeping inside. The film understands the entertainment industry Another interesting aspect of Sing is that it doesn't completely romanticize show business.

Buster Moon is ambitious, but he is also reckless. His dream of saving his theater leads him into increasingly complicated situations. That makes the movie surprisingly relevant to the way entertainment works outside animation. Music is the engine of Sing. The movie contains more than 65 songs, drawing from different periods and genres rather than restricting itself to one musical style. This is one of the film's smartest commercial and artistic decisions. The songs are recognizable, but their function goes beyond making the movie entertaining. Different characters use different musical styles to express their personalities.

Rock, pop, soul, ballads and older standards become different languages for different characters.

This also explains why the final performances work so well. The movie spends so much time establishing the characters' relationships with music that the performances become expressions of personality rather than random musical interruptions.

Johnny wants to perform instead of following his father's criminal world.

Rosita discovers that being a mother doesn't have to erase her individuality.

Ash learns that her artistic identity cannot depend entirely on another person.

Meena has to confront her fear.

Buster himself represents the dreamer who refuses to abandon an idea even when reality keeps attacking it. These aren't identical struggles, but they intersect through the stage. The animation serves the comedy rather than overwhelming it. The result is a movie that can appeal to children without making the entire experience inaccessible to adults.

The underdog formula is extremely effective, but it is also predictable. The characters are designed around recognizable archetypes, and many of their emotional journeys follow patterns audiences have seen before. But that doesn't necessarily make the movie ineffective.

The competition begins as a mechanism for winning money and saving a theater. But the movie gradually moves toward a larger idea that performing is not valuable only because somebody wins.

I watch a lot of action shows, but lately, I’ve been feeling a bit bored with how clean and heavily polished everything looks. Most modern 3D Chinese animation looks flawless, but it lacks soul. That was until I stumbled upon Blade of the Guardians (also known as Biao Ren). Honestly, this show is a massive breath of fresh air, and it dragged me out of my viewing slump. Instead of bright fantasy worlds and perfect heroes who never get a scratch, this show drags you straight into the dusty, blood stained deserts of the late Sui Dynasty. It is raw, violent, and deeply emotional. As someone who appreciates historical action that doesn't hold back, this series hooked me from the very first episode, and I just need to talk about why it’s so good, to my greatest surprised, I saw my favourite Chinese actor jet-li in the movie but he was against the actor.

The whole story revolves around a mysterious, highly skilled mercenary named Dao Ma who is traveling across the treacherous Western Regions, he isn't your typical hero trying to save the kingdom from evil forces. He is just a broke guy trying to clear a debt, taking on dangerous escort missions to survive. What makes the journey special is that he travels with a young child named Xiao Qi, whom he treats with a rough but fiercely protective kind of love, but as things usually go in these kinds of stories, his latest job pulls him directly into a massive political conspiracy involving the imperial court, rebellious factions, and vicious bandits.

What I love most about the plot is the sheer atmosphere of the world. The Sui Dynasty was a time of brutal tyranny and total chaos in China, and the show captures that desperation perfectly. The stakes feel real because the world itself feels incredibly dangerous, every single town Dao Ma enters feels like a tinderbox waiting to explode, and the normal everyday civilians are just trying to survive under the boot of corrupt officials. It makes you feel anxious for the characters because you know no one is safe.

Dao Ma himself is an exceptional protagonist, he hides his past behind a straw hat and a cynical attitude, but his actions speak much louder than his words. The dynamic between him and Xiao Qi provides the emotional heartbeat of the entire series. Xiao Qi isn't just a useless sidekick who screams for help; his innocence acts as a sharp contrast to the harsh reality surrounding them. It gives Dao Ma a reason to keep his humanity alive in a world that has completely lost its mind.

Even the villains in this show are incredibly well crafted. They aren't just cartoonish, evil figures who want to destroy things for no reason. They are products of a broken, cruel system, the show takes the time to show you the complex motivations of the people fighting for power, making the conflicts feel heavy and meaningful rather than just an excuse to jump into another fight scene.

Speaking of the fight scenes, we absolutely have to talk about the animation because that is were Blade of the Guardians truly blew me away. The animation studio, Colored-Pencil Animation Design, opted for a highly stylized 2D look that feels like a traditional graphic novel brought to life. The linework is sharp, heavy, and deliberately rough around the edges, which suits the mature tone perfectly. The fight schene I love the most is between jet-li, against DAO ma and the dragon guy, that fight was lit, jet li was brutal but he has to die because he is against DAO ma the main character.

The choreography of the sword fights is breathtaking. The creators didn't rely on magical energy beams, flying swords, or random power-ups. Instead, the combat is grounded, heavy, and visceral. You can practically feel the weight of every single slash, the impact of metal hitting metal, and the absolute desperation in the characters' movements. When a strike lands, the impact is devastating. The show is unapologetically bloody, but it never feels like cheap gore just to shock you. The violence serves the story, illustrating just how brutal this historical era truly was.

The audio design also deserves a massive shout-out here. The clashing of weapons sounds crisp and terrifyingly real, not like generic stock sound effects. More importantly, the musical score blends traditional Chinese instruments with modern, heavy pacing to elevate the tension during critical moments. When Dao Ma draws his sword, the music swells in a way that gets your adrenaline pumping immediately.

If I have to be critical about one thing, it would be the pacing of the political subplots. Because the original comic by Yiyong is incredibly dense with historical context, the anime sometimes rushes through the explanations of different factions and court politics. If you aren't paying close attention, it can be easy to lose track of who is betraying whom in the grander scheme of the Empire. However, the strong character writing usually keeps you anchored even when the political landscape gets slightly confusing.

At the end of the day, Blade of the Guardians stands out because it treats its audience like adults. It doesn't sugarcoat the historical reality, nor does it rely on typical, annoying anime tropes. It is a story about survival, honor, and the heavy price of loyalty. Whether you are a hardcore fan of Chinese animation or someone looking for a gritty, well-written historical action series, this is an absolute must watch.

Opening hook This story begins when a skillful hunter whose name is Jaguar Paw his having a good time with his family in the night and the having variety of activities just to have fun, most of the activities is story telling .

And also there was a man that don't want to give birth to his mother she is very worried that she lock him with is wife so he can give a grandchild. The are having a peaceful life with his family.

When a group of heavy army attack the community and kill Men and women with the children and captured the strong men in that community for slavery.but before then Jaguar Paw hide his pregnant wife with his child inside a well.

That is where she finds safety but a man from the invaders want to notice something inside well,He then throw a big stone inside the well that injured Jaguar child. The strong men of Jaguar Paw communities and Jaguar himself where captured and taken to maya city for sacrifice to please the gods.

the sacrifice most of the men the capture but when it reach to sacrifice Jaguar Paw the moon was not stable. So Jaguar and some men where taking to a field where the will play a game that will cost them there life.

The men ask them to run if the can.as the are running the shoot some of them with arrow but Jaguar Paw escape.

JAGUAR PAW ESCAPE. /SURVIVAL When Jaguar Paw escape the arrow the son to the commander of the maya city followed him to the bush that was how he was kill by Jaguar Paw. Jaguar Paw was one of the best and skillful hunter in his community. He is the best runner and successful hunter in his community.

He use is hunting spirit to bring him victory. The men that follow him to the bush he use both his physical strength and skills to overcome them.when he was exhausted physically he set a trapped for the men that is how he overcome them.then later he went to his community and found his wife and his child inside the well with a new born baby.

ACTING Jaguar Paw he don't just act a drama he really use is energy and passion to display the movies. He act the movies like his life depend on the movies his original name is Rude Youngblood.no wonder his blood is very active to act with all his synergy and strength. The forest was very beautiful and the scene in each of the shooting is extremely excellent.

The forest look scary and dangerous but good job to the camera man.i wonder how scary he was in the jungle.The act the movies in Maya languages and the historical projection of maya community is what was acted on the movies the are violent communities that use people for sacrifice.

‎Who has not watched Kirikou when they were a kid? 😀 ‎ ‎Hello everyone, welcome to my blog here on Scrobblelife. Today I want to share my review of the movie Kirikou and the Sorceress. I watched this movie a very long time ago, and I can still remember that Kirikou was one of the movies my mom normally put on for us when we were kids. I really enjoyed watching it. So today, I was looking for a movie to make a review on, and I suddenly remembered Kirikou. I decided to watch it again and share my review with my amazing friends here. Watching it again really brought back some childhood memories. ‎ ‎Kirikou was a boy full of wisdom and knowledge. He was very smart, and what made him different was that he could already talk while he was still inside his mother's womb. His mother was always surprised because she could not understand how a baby that had not even come out of her womb could already be talking to her. She even started wondering if she was really carrying a baby in her stomach. One thing Kirikou said to his mother while he was still inside his mother stomach really surprised me. He said, ‎ ‎**"Mother, bring me to the world"** ‎ ‎ ‎His mother gave birth to Kirikou, and immediately he came into the world, he went straight into the water and bathed himself. He did not even hesitate. After that, he asked his mother, "Mother, where is my dad?" His mother was so shocked. How can a baby that was just born already be asking about his father and talking like a grown person? She started having a conversation with him because he was asking her so many questions, and she kept answering him. ‎ ‎ ‎The people in the village really loved Kirikou because of the way he talked. They enjoyed having conversations with him because he talked like a very intelligent grown-up. He was not behaving like a normal little baby at all. He was so smart and intelligent that everyone in the village loved him. Whenever children and elderly people gathered together with Kirikou, they enjoyed talking with him because he always had something interesting to say. ‎ ‎ ‎There was also a wicked sorceress called Karaba. She was very evil, wicked and heartless. She made the people in the village suffer and live in fear. She had dried up their water source, and the villagers were struggling because of it. Anyone who tried to go against her was putting their life in danger. Everyone in the village was scared of Karaba because they knew how powerful she was. ‎ ‎ ‎There was a time when the children of the village were playing, and Karaba decided to put an evil tree there to attract them. Immediately the children saw the tree, they all ran towards it and climbed on it. But they did not know that the tree was dangerous. Suddenly, the tree started moving with them. It carried them away, and the children started crying and shouting for someone to come and save them. ‎ ‎ ‎Kirikou saw what was happening and immediately started looking for a way to save the children. He did not know what to do at first, but then he saw his grandmother preparing a cutlass in the fire. Kirikou quietly went to her and greeted her as if nothing was happening. Before she knew what was happening, he took the cutlass and ran away with it to save the children. This little boy ran like a flash because he was determined to save their lives. When he reached the tree, he started cutting it down, but he was too small, so he told the children to shake the tree because it would make it easier for him to cut it down. This was how he finally cut down the tree and the children came out safely. ‎ ‎ ‎The children were so happy that Kirikou had saved their lives. They started rejoicing and dancing because they were finally safe. They even started singing songs for him, saying that Kirikou was their friend, that he was brilliant and that he was wise. Kirikou also joined them and started dancing with them. This part was really nice because you could see how much the children loved and appreciated him. ‎ ‎ ‎There was another time when Kirikou saw a hole, and something told him to enter inside and find out what was there. He entered the hole and went deeper inside until he discovered a cow with a very big stomach filled with water. The village was already suffering because Karaba had dried up their water source, so they were struggling to get water. Kirikou saw that the water was inside the cow and started thinking about what he could do to solve the problem. ‎ ‎

‎Kirikou ran away and looked for a cutlass. After he got the cutlass, he ran back to the hole and cut open the stomach of the cow. Suddenly, the water exploded out and started rushing everywhere. The people in the village were so happy and excited. They started playing and dancing because it had been a long time since they had water in their stream. ‎

‎But while everyone was celebrating, Kirikou's mother started looking for him because she could not find her son. After the water stopped coming out, Kirikou suddenly fell out of the hole and landed outside. His mother was shocked when she saw that he was not breathing. She picked him up and put him on her lap, but unfortunately, Kirikou did not wake up. ‎

‎All the people in the village gathered when they heard that it was Kirikou who had brought the water back and that he was not breathing. Even people who were not there before came running. Some of them started crying because Kirikou was their friend. The children were also crying and singing for him. It was a very emotional moment because nobody knew if Kirikou would survive. Then suddenly, Kirikou coughed while lying on his mother's lap and woke up. Everyone became so excited. They started singing and dancing again because Kirikou was alive. ‎ ‎ ‎When Karaba heard the sound of the villagers celebrating, she became very angry. She sent her messenger to find out why the villagers were singing and dancing around the stream. When they told her that the villagers were celebrating because of a little boy called Kirikou, she became even more angry. She ordered them to find the boy and bring him to her. Knowing how wicked Karaba was, Kirikou could have been in serious danger if she caught him. ‎ ‎ ‎Kirikou had already heard about how wicked Karaba was. His mother told him about her, and Kirikou decided to meet his grandfather. His grandfather explained to him how dangerous Karaba was and how powerful she had become. Kirikou then asked his grandfather what he could do to make her stop all the wicked things she was doing. His grandfather told him a secret. There was something connected to Karaba's back, and it was connected to the reason she had become so powerful and wicked. If that thing could be removed, she would lose her powers. But nobody was brave enough to get close to her because everyone was scared of her. ‎ ‎Immediately after Kirikou heard this, he decided that he would stop everything. He told his grandfather that he would remove the thing from Karaba so that the villagers could finally live peacefully. ‎ ‎ ‎Kirikou started digging deep into the ground so he could find a way to reach Karaba without being seen. He kept digging until he got close to where she was. At some point, Karaba noticed that someone was trying to enter her territory, so she sent her messengers to check. When they discovered that it was Kirikou, she decided to deal with him herself. Kirikou was still inside the ground, trying to reach her, while she sent dangerous things to stop him. But Kirikou kept surviving and finally escaped without being killed. ‎ ‎ ‎After Kirikou finished digging, he secretly appeared in Karaba's environment without her knowing. He was watching her, but she did not know where he was. Then, immediately, he jumped directly onto her back. As he was falling, he grabbed the object on her back with his teeth and pulled it out. Karaba screamed so loudly that everyone in the village could hear her. Her scream was so painful that it seemed like the whole place was shaking. ‎

‎Immediately after Kirikou removed the object, everything started changing. The grass started coming alive, beautiful things started appearing everywhere, and the whole place suddenly looked fresh and beautiful again. Kirikou had finally freed Karaba, and she was no longer the wicked person she had been before. She asked Kirikou what he wanted, and he told her that he wanted to marry her. Karaba told him that he was too small and too young for her to marry him. ‎ ‎ ‎Then Kirikou asked her to kiss him. Immediately she kissed him, something amazing happened. Kirikou suddenly became a tall and grown-up man. Karaba was absolutely surprised because, all of a sudden, the little Kirikou she knew had turned into a big and grown man right in front of her. ‎

‎And this was how Kirikou and Karaba became a couple. When the people in the village saw Karaba with a grown man beside her, they started running away because they thought she was still the wicked sorceress they knew before. They did not know that she had already been freed. ‎ ‎The funny part was that nobody could believe that the grown man beside Karaba was Kirikou because he had suddenly become so big. When they told his mother that a man was claiming to be her son Kirikou, she came closer, touched his face and immediately recognized him. She told them that he was her son. It was really Kirikou. ‎

‎ ‎For me, this is one of those childhood movies that still feels special even after many years. Watching it again brought back memories of when my mom used to put it on for us when we were kids. What I enjoyed most about Kirikou is that he was very small, but he was never afraid to face problems that even grown people were scared of. He was smart, brave and always looking for a way to help people. ‎ ‎I also enjoyed the way the movie showed that sometimes the person who looks small can be the one who makes the biggest difference. Kirikou saved the children, helped bring water back to the village and finally found a way to free Karaba. That is why I still find this movie interesting even after watching it again many years later. ‎ ‎I really enjoyed watching Kirikou and the Sorceress again, and I am happy that I remembered this movie when I was looking for something to review. It really took me back to my childhood, and I enjoyed every moment of it. ‎ ‎ ‎all the pictures are screenshot from the movie taking by me ‎

This time I'm going to talk about a contradictory, controversial, yet extraordinary song, both for its lyrics, music, and what it expresses. I'm referring to the song "Rain," a superb track recorded for the Revolver album sessions, but not included on it. Instead, it was released as a single in July 1966 along with the song "Paperback Writer," the latter being the A-side and "Rain" the B-side.

I was impressed by the experimental recording techniques, as they were already experimenting with vocals and instruments played in reverse. Everything was constantly being innovated, and sometimes LSD took center stage back then. That's why I said at the beginning that the song is controversial, since it's always been claimed that this track was a product of hallucinations induced by this drug. Whether or not that claim is true doesn't detract from the fact that they were excellent and unique musicians, because for me, that's circumstantial.

Leaving aside the previous point, it's a pleasure for me to hear Ringo's drums, perfectly synchronized, along with the chords and vocals of Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison in the backing vocals, and of course, the rhythm guitar, bass, and lead guitar, respectively, all under George Martin's direction.

Three promotional videos were made for this song, and today I'm presenting one of them. Returning to the topic of music videos, in a way they were precursors to what the world would later know as MTV. I believe this, and many critics agree, so this is another of the virtues of the long-haired lads from Liverpool. Of the three videos, one was filmed in black and white. Listening to Lennon's lead vocals treated with a kind of background that included slowing them down so that when played on a normal device, it sounded as if the singer were immersed in a rainy or difficult environment... How ingenious and wonderful they are...!!!... This magnificent song was recorded in London at EMI Studios, and the video I'm sharing with you was filmed in the gardens of Chiswick House, London.
