  1. Colette a surprise movie@ismaca1058d

One of the surprises of 2018 was this film by Walsh Westmoreland starring Keira Knightley and Dominic West.

It tells the story of French author Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette and how her husband, publisher Henri Gautier-Villas, appropriates her early works to pass them off as his own and publishes them on the pretext that female bylines will never attract readers . . as many buyers as men.

In this way, the husband enjoyed all the prestige and honor Colette deserved.

Set in 1920s Paris, the film follows this period of her life, her relationship with her husband and her struggle to prove that she is the real author.

There is also her personal crisis and the different ways she seeks to express her emotions. And all this thanks to the excellent performances of the two main actors.

Incidentally, Colette ended up becoming a major figure in French literature, and even the only writer whose state funeral was granted to France by the French government.

    Hello Friends, Greetings 🙏😊

Today I will share a great movie that fascinated me by its controversial history for the time it was developed, I am a lover of drama movies and much more when it is yesteryear , I like that era for elegance and education that radiated people but not because of their closed and obtuse mentality.

Colette - Liberation and desire caught me from the first moment. This film being biographical tells the story of a young woman writer of the time where it was practically a sin that women had a prominent work, or worse, give their opinion of things.

Colette (Keira Knightley) for a long time was forced by her husband (Dominic West) to write novels that would then be published by him as his own, but later, thanks to the genius of novels reached a lot of fame and good reception in the audience. However, little by little are developing situations that make Colette wanting to demand the rights over the works of it, because of this she must face bad criticisms and closed minds, apart from hatred and envy of her own husband .

On the other hand, due to the "morality" that it was in this era to Colette, he has to live the love of hidden, situations that were giving him liberal attitudes, stripping with fear to make present his ideas and opinions before a society he was hardly accepted for cataloging them Like "inadequate behaviors".

As we already see, this great artist and young woman had to live very hard situations for wanting to present the thoughts of autonomy of her, because she could never suppress what she was in. That is why I love this story, because it shows a large-scale female power and a huge courage against all prognosis.

I recommend this film that is based on actual facts 100% of the history of female empowerment. I am sure you will like it. Also Keira Knightley is a delight to watch in the film, beautiful and mesmerizing 😍.
