   Hello everyone, my Otaku friends, I hope you're all doing great. This time, I'm super excited to share with you a new review of an anime you're probably familiar with, as it was quite famous in its day, both for its story and its controversies. Today, I'm going to talk about the anime: DARLING in the FRANXX! From the start, I was hooked by the dystopian, crazy vibe: imagine a future where humanity is hanging by a thread, threatened by enormous beasts called klaxosaurs. Instead of collapsing, people banded together and took refuge in fortified cities, called plantations, protected by giant robots, the well-known mechas, the FRANXX! They star in the fight for survival that sets up a rather original story.

   What I really liked was the twist they put into the mecha genre, in almost all mecha anime you see solo pilots or teams of soldiers, but here the move is that each FRANXX can only be piloted by a duo: a boy and a girl who have to synchronize to the maximum to handle these robots. it's a concept that immediately reminded me of Pacific Rim, but it goes much further by exploring the complicated relationships between these young pilots, the idea that these kids are, basically, child soldiers, raised only to fight and with no idea of ​​the world outside of their training, captivates you strongly. it creates a harsh and vulnerable environment where every emotion and every small personal victory feels personal. now, speaking of the characters, the protagonists, who are affectionately called "parasites", are not your typical heroes...

   They are teenagers who have no idea about normal life: no first kisses, no real relationships, nothing like what we know, I found it super refreshing. Instead of just focusing on epic battles, the anime takes its time to show you what these characters are like on the inside. Their internal struggles, like dealing with self-worth, identity, and even them starting to figure out their sexuality, feel real and raw. I remember one scene in particular where a character’s confusion about what the hell love and desire is all about really got to me. It wasn’t over the top or forced, it was genuine, and I couldn’t help but see some of my own weird experiences from that time reflected back at me.

   Hola a todos, amigos Otakus, espero que estén genial, en esta ocasión estoy súper emocionado de compartir con ustedes una nueva reseña de un anime que seguramente conocerán, ya que fue bastante famoso en sus días, tanto por su historia, como por sus polémicas.. hoy les hablaré del anime: ¡DARLING in the FRANXX! Desde el inicio, me enganchó la onda distópica y loca: imagínense un futuro donde la humanidad está colgando de un hilo, amenazada por unas bestias enormes llamadas klaxosaurios, en vez de venirse abajo, la gente se unió y se refugió en ciudades fortificadas, que les dicen plantaciones, protegidas por robots gigantes, los conocidos mechas, ¡los FRANXX! Ellos protagonizan la lucha por sobrevivir que prepara todo para una historiabastante original.
   Lo que de verdad me gustó fue el giro que le metieron al género mecha, en casi todos los animes de mechas ves pilotos solos o equipos de soldados, pero acá la movida es que cada FRANXX solo lo puede pilotear un dúo: un chico y una chica que se tienen que sincronizar al máximo para manejar estos robotsotes.. es un concepto que al toque me hizo acordar a Pacific Rim, pero que va mucho más allá al explorar las relaciones complicadas entre estos pilotos jóvenes, la idea de que estos chicos son, básicamente, soldados niños, criados solo para pelear y sin idea del mundo fuera de su entrenamiento, te cautiva fuertemente.. crea un ambiente duro y vulnerable donde cada emoción y cada pequeña victoria personal se siente personal.. ahora, hablando de los personajes, los protas, a los que les dicen "parásitos" de cariño, no son los típicos héroes..
   Son adolescentes que no tienen ni idea de la vida normal: sin primeros besos, sin relaciones de verdad, nada de lo que nosotros conocemos, a mí me pareció súper refrescante. En vez de solo enfocarse en batallas épicas, el anime se toma su tiempo para mostrarte cómo son estos personajes por dentro.. sus problemas internos, como lidiar con la autoestima, la identidad y hasta que empiezan a descubrir su sexualidad, se sienten reales y a flor de piel, me acuerdo de una escena en particular donde la confusión de un personaje sobre qué onda con el amor y el deseo me llegó, no era nada exagerado ni forzado, era genuino, y no pude evitar verme reflejado en algunas de mis propias experiencias raras de esa época.

   And speaking of relationships, we have to talk about the chemistry between Hiro, who is the quiet and somewhat shy protagonist, and Zero Two is key to this anime's captivating effect. Zero Two is one of those characters that leaves you thinking a lot, she's like that rebellious and wild spark that breaks all the rules. Her relationship with Hiro starts as a somewhat toxic tug-of-war that, at the same time, excites you and breaks your heart to watch... I was there, between applauding them when they synchronized perfectly in the booth and getting distressed when things between them got tense and complicated, which happened often... there's something that hooks you when you see two people, who know nothing about love or intimacy, trying to understand a connection that feels as dangerous as it is transformative.

   Plus, the anime does an amazing job of exploring love in all its messy, complicated forms. It doesn’t stick with just one idea of ​​what love “should” look like, it shows you the whole spectrum: passion, friendship, betrayal, longing to be together, all mixed up in a story that makes you think… there were times when I wondered, “Is this what real love feels like?”… that’s what sets it apart. The show isn’t just about giant robots fighting (which are also awesome, duh), but the emotional journey of these characters as they learn what it means to care for each other in a world that is far from perfect.

   Y hablando de relaciones, hay que hablar de la química entre Hiro, que es el protagonista calladito y medio tímido, y Zero Two es clave para que este anime te atrape, Zero Two es de esos personajes que te dejan pensando un montón, es como esa chispa rebelde y salvaje que va contra todas las reglas, su relación con Hiro empieza como un tire y afloje medio tóxico que, a la vez, te emociona y te rompe el corazón ver.. yo estaba ahí, entre aplaudirlos cuando se sincronizaban perfecto en la cabina y angustiarme cuando las cosas entre ellos se ponían tensas y complicadas, cosa que pasaba seguido.. es que hay algo que te engancha mal al ver a dos personas, que no saben nada de amor ni de intimidad, tratando de entender una conexión que se siente tan peligrosa como transformadora.
   Además, el anime se manda un trabajo increíble explorando el amor en todas sus formas, las desordenadas y las complicadas, no se queda con una sola idea de cómo "debería" ser el amor, te muestra todo el espectro: pasión, amistad, traición, ganas de estar juntos, todo mezclado en una historia que te hace pensar.. hubo momentos en los que me preguntaba: "¿Será que así se siente el amor de verdad?".. justo eso es lo que lo hace diferente. La serie no es solo robots gigantes peleando (que también son geniales, obvio), sino el viaje emocional de estos personajes mientras aprenden qué significa preocuparse por el otro en un mundo que está lejos de ser perfecto.

   I must say, while it has potential, it also has flaws... although DARLING in the FRANXX had me glued to the screen with its crazy ideas and how beautiful everything looks, the animation is incredible, the backgrounds are detailed and the battles are fluid, you can see the hand of Trigger and A-1 Pictures, but the series has its things... for me, and for many fans, I think, the rhythm was what failed the most, especially at the end... there were parts where I felt that the story was going a thousand miles an hour, leaving important mysteries there as if nothing, the origins of the klaxosaurs, the true history of this destroyed world, even some things about the secret organization that handles everything, they hint at them at the beginning, but they never explain them to you in depth... that left me with a strange feeling, between fascinated by how big the world they created was, and frustrated because they didn't take the opportunity to go deeper into some things.

   If I'm honest, some of the revelations at the end seemed to try to wrap everything up really quickly and perfectly, but they ended up feeling a bit forced. I rolled my eyes several times, wondering if the creators had preferred to make it look nice in the last chapters instead of giving more weight to the story... but, hey, even with these flaws, there were moments of pure emotion that make it impossible to hate the series completely. The drama, the internal problems and the bittersweet victories of the characters really touched me. It’s like the anime is challenging you to truly feel for these characters, even when the plot throws some weird twists that threaten to break that connection. I also have to mention that you can see the influence of classic anime like Evangelion and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

   We can’t deny that DARLING in the FRANXX takes things from these greats. We’ve already seen the idea of ​​teenagers piloting giant robots to save humanity, but what makes this anime different is that it dares to show what that does to them inside, psychologically and emotionally. It’s not just fighting monsters, it’s what it does to your spirit. Does it make you stronger or destroy you? Although it’s inevitable to compare it with the others, I think it manages to have its own style, even if it doesn’t always turn out as well as one would like, it’s not a simple copy. Of course, the positions to handle the mechas were very unnecessary, but that idea of ​​​​emotional connection to pilot is really interesting.

   Debo decir, que si bien tiene potencial, también tiene errores.. aunque DARLING in the FRANXX me tuvo pegado a la pantalla con sus ideas locas y lo lindo que se ve todo, la animación es increíble, los fondos son detallados y las batallas son fluidísimas, se nota la mano de Trigger y A-1 Pictures, pero la serie tiene sus cositas.. para mí, y para muchos fans, creo, el ritmo fue lo que más falló, sobre todo al final.. hubo partes donde sentí que la historia iba a mil, dejando misterios importantes ahí como si nada, los orígenes de los klaxosaurios, la historia real de este mundo destruido, hasta algunas cosas de la organización secreta que maneja todo, te las insinúan al principio, pero nunca te las explican bien a fondo.. eso me dejó con una sensación rara, entre fascinado por lo grande que era el mundo que crearon, y frustrado porque no aprovecharon para profundizar en algunas cosas.
   Si te soy honesto, algunas de las revelaciones al final como que quisieron cerrar todo muy rápido y perfecto, pero terminaron quedando medio forzadas, varias veces puse los ojos en blanco, pensando si los creadores habían preferido que se viera lindo en los últimos capítulos en vez de darle más peso a la historia.. pero, ojo, que incluso con estos fallos, hubo momentos de pura emoción que hacen que no puedas odiar la serie del todo, el drama, los problemas internos y las victorias agridulces de los personajes me llegaron mucho. Es como si el anime te desafiara a sentir de verdad por estos personajes, incluso cuando la trama te hace unas jugadas raras que amenazan con romper esa conexión, también tengo que mencionar que se nota la influencia de animes clásicos como Evangelion y Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann..
   No podemos negar que DARLING in the FRANXX toma cositas de estos grandes, la idea de adolescentes pilotando robots gigantes para salvar a la humanidad ya la hemos visto, pero lo que hace diferente a este anime es que se anima a mostrar lo que eso les hace por dentro, psicológicamente y emocionalmente.. no es solo pelear contra monstruos, es lo que eso le hace a tu espíritu. ¿Te hace más fuerte o te destruye? aunque es inevitable compararlo con los otros, creo que logra tener su propio estilo, aunque no siempre le salga tan bien como uno quisiera, no es un simple copia.. claro, era muy innecesario las posiciones para manejar los mechas, pero esa idea de conexión emocional para pilotear, es realmente interesante.

   On the technical side, the visuals and sound are insane. The robot designs are super original and creative, and each fight is so stylishly put together that it immediately draws you in. The music, wow, the soundtrack deserves an award, seriously. I loved that opening. It's one of those times when the music lifts the entire visual vibe, and makes each scene hit harder and draws you right into the story.. If I had to give DARLING in the FRANXX a grade, I'd give it a 7.5/10. It might sound a bit average, but hear me out. The series excels at creating the world, developing the characters, and touching on deep themes like love, identity, and sacrifice. I was really moved by the struggles and how the characters grow, and there were moments of pure beauty that made it worthwhile.

   It must also be said that the problems with the pacing and a rushed ending, with a bit of a lack of coherence, meant it didn't fully realize its potential. It was like a roller coaster that was a lot of fun, almost every time. the journey, but in the end it leaves you with some falls that you did not expect and that do not convince you at all... if you are thinking whether or not to watch DARLING in the FRANXX, I tell you this: if you like stories that focus on the characters, with good action and drama, and you are not afraid of real and complicated emotions, give it a chance, it may not be perfect and yes, there are parts that will make you think a lot or even complain, but in general it is an experience that leaves you thinking, they show us without filters what it means to be human in a world that is crazy... and well, that's all for today, we'll see you in the next reviews, I'll leave the opening here below, take care of yourselves, byebye!

   En lo técnico, la parte visual y de sonido es una locura, los diseños de los robots son súper originales y creativos, y cada pelea está armada con tanto estilo que te atrapa al toque.. la música, uf, la banda sonora se merece un premio, en serio.. ese opening me ncantó, es de esas veces que la música levanta toda la onda visual, y hace que cada escena pegue más fuerte y te meta de lleno en la historia.. Si tuviera que ponerle nota a DARLING in the FRANXX, le daría un 7.5/10, capaz suena medio normal, pero escúchame.. la serie se luce creando el mundo, desarrollando a los personajes y tocando temas profundos como el amor, la identidad y el sacrificio.. a mí me llegaron mucho las luchas y cómo crecen los personajes, y hubo momentos de belleza pura que hicieron que valiera la pena, también hay que decir, los problemas con el ritmo y un final apresurado, con un poco falta de coherencia, hace que no termine de explotar completamente su potencial..
   Fue como una montaña rusa que te divierte un montón casi todo el viaje, pero al final te deja con unas caídas que no te esperabas y que no te convencen del todo.. si estás pensando si ver o no DARLING in the FRANXX, te digo esto: si te gustan las historias que se centran en los personajes, con buena acción y drama, y no le tienes miedo a las emociones reales y complicadas, dale una oportunidad, puede que no sea perfecta y sí, hay partes que te van a hacer pensar mucho o hasta quejarte, pero en general es una experiencia que te deja pensando, nos muestran sin filtros de lo que significa ser humano en un mundo que está loco.. y bueno, eso es todo por hoy, nos veremos en las próximas reseñas, les déjare el opening aquí abajo, cuídense mucho, byebye!

   Hello, I'm excited to tell you about this old anime that was released last winter in 2018. It's not an Isekai anime but it's a Mecha mixed with romantic drama that you may cry. It might sound gay for this anime but I cried a little bit at the end of the anime. You can continue to read about this anime, there may some spoilers that I may tackle but only a few of it.

   Story

   The story is about defending the remnants of the civilization from the Klaxasaur that were attacking them with the artificially created children. These kids were the only one to use the machine or the robot to protect the civilization.

   

   The robot will operate if there are two opposite gender will go into it just like a partner and it's not just a random two opposite gender will go into the robot but it needs them to have a bond with the partner, trust each other so that the robot will fully utilize it's capability of combating these monsters that were attacking them.

   

   This is a story of the squad 10 focusing on the antagonist HIRO (boy) who is one of the top in their squad cannot sync with his partner because of certain reasons. Then he met this girl named Zero Two who is an elite pilot with a klaxosaur's blood.

   

   What Do you like about the anime?

   I usually don't like mecha genre for an anime but this one is really good from it's story that is really touching on how HIRO and ZERO TWO met first before and sometimes I laugh very hard because of what they say and their actions. They can handle difficult situations from battling with the Klaxasaur because of their bonds and not just a partner but with other robots in the team.

   

   I like how Zero Two acted to Hiro and she called him his "Darling" means that he's the one for her. Zero Two has lots of battles before she partnered with Hiro.

   

   There is a scene that I laugh the most when they switch with other partners not with their regular partners then their old partner cried like a baby in front of his new partner. I really like the idea on switching with other partners if they are compatible with them or not.

   

   Lots Memories

   There were lots of memories that Zero Two that she can't forget even if she was drugged by the scientist on altering it but she was unaffected by it.

   

   Hiro, on the other hand, has been drugged and some of his memories has been lost or altered. Hiro will later knew about it when he was piloting Zero Two's robot.

   

   How will they operate inside the robot?

   There is only one way to fully operate the robot and that is to have an opposite partner with them. The girl will be the body of the robot and the boy will maneuver or will pilot into the girl. There are some cases that only the girl will operate but it will risks her life into it.

   

   Just like the case of Zero Two, she can operate only by herself on the robot in the cause of sipping the life force of her boy partner which may lead into death of her partner.

   

   Character Developments

   Zero Two is one of a special character in the story because she is a mixed blood with a Klaxasaur. Zero two has been fighting on the Klaxasaur endlessly. Her pilot partner cannot pilot more than three times when partnering her because of her blood that will enter to her partner and end up losing their lives. She was a stubborn girl but she became a naughty and sweet girl after she partner with Hiro.

   

   Hiro is a prodigy in his class but ends up no one can partner or sync him before he met Zero Two. He risked his live in order to protect the civilization and conquered his death.

   

   Other characters like Ichigo, Kokoro, Mitsuru, Ikuno, Futoshi, Miku were a side character that will help Hiro from his growth and takes care of him as a family and also as a friend.

   

   Thoughts

   This is one of the best and touching story of a romance and drama that I've seen like risking their lives by protecting others. The character developments were great because they will eventually learn about caring for someone even if sometimes they hate one another.

   

   Caring for one another is really hard to do. It's not like a fast food chain that you can care really fast but it takes a long time to care to others. We need to observe and we need to love before we care to each other.

   

   

   Overall, It's a 10/10 for me because it made me cry in the anime and my heart hurts a lot after watching it. I didn't knew that my tears were falling down into my eyes.

   Esta es la premisa que impulsa la serie de anime Darling In The Franxxx una serie mecha que nos contará una forma de ver el mundo bastante diferente a la que estamos acostumbrados, lean este post para ver mis opiniones personales sobre la misma pero debo avisarles que probablemente contenga muchos spoilers y por ello deben leerlo bajo su propia responsabilidad.

   Bien ya dado este anuncio comenzaré con contarles que esta serie tiene claramente su propia manera de pilotar los mechas, esta es una forma medio extraña ya que la mujer se combinará de cierta manera con el robot convirtiéndose en una consola de mando, para ello debe asumir la posición de ponerse en 4 patas lo que de entrada llama la atención negativamente para viejos como yo, él hombre será el que maneje los controles que salen literalmente de los glúteos de la chica.

   Esto es un factor que hizo que al principio no tuviera muchas ganas de ver la serie pero como todo buen mecha esconde una historia muy profunda que va enredándote y abriendo tu mente de a poco a tenerle cariño a los pilotos.

   Como ya lo dice la premisa de la serie el robot que desde ahora llamaremos franx se conduce solo si el hombre y la mujer se apoyan mutuamente pero no físicamente, sino a nivel emocional y espiritual, ellos deben conectarse.

   Poco a poco vamos entendiendo que en la serie los seres humanos viven en una especie de colmenas ya que el planeta entero está destruido y son atacados por una especie de monstruos llamados Clapsosaurios, unos seres mitad mecánicos mitad biológicos.

   Esta es una explicación que nos dan al final de la serie pero es importante que la escriba para que entiendan el panorama, creo que si me la hubieran dicho en los primeros episodios no me habría pasado nada negativo contra las primeras imágenes que vi así que lo escribiré.

   El mundo consiguió un nuevo tipo de energía llamada energía magmatica, esta proviene de una civilización mucho más antigua que la humanidad, pero esta yace oculta en el centro del planeta ya que fueron atacados por alienígenas y casi exterminados, esta civilización son los que ahora en la serie vemos como clapsosaurios, pero ellos no eran tan diferentes a los humanos antes del ataque.

   Los clapsosaurios atacan a la humanidad para que no usen esta energía magmatica pues está hecha a base de los muertos de su especie. Los seres humanos usaron esta energía para detener el envejecimiento pero al hacerlo perdieron sus habilidades para reproducirse, esto hizo que se vieran obligados a crear niños artificialmente, estos niños tendrían la habilidad de reproducirse pero no se les enseñaría sobre ello, sino que los entrenarían militarmente para conducir los franx y así luchar contra los clapsosaurios.

   Bien esta es digamos la “corteza” de la historia, la parte menos profunda de lo que nos ofrece este anime, pero como ya les dije, un buen mecha tiene que tener una historia muy profunda y que de una u otra manera nos abra la mente.

   Un grupo de niños que fue creado para manejar los franx presenta anomalías, ellos tenían sentimientos, mentes propias y que no se dejaban doctrinar tan fácilmente, uno de estos niños les dio nombre a cada uno de sus compañeros y así es como el escuadrón 13 empezó a ser el escuadrón mas especial entre todos los niños criados para la guerra. El mismo niño que les entregó nombre a sus compañeros es el personaje principal que poseía como nombre código 0016 y se colocó como sobre nombre “HERO”.

   Pronto este chico comenzó a resaltar tanto que tuvieron que borrar sus recuerdos, y el por qué resaltaba es otro de los caracteres especiales en esta obra, al parecer tuvo un encuentro fortuito con un experimento que se llevaba en secreto. Una chica claptosaurio llamada "codigo 002" quien será conocida como Zero Two.

   Ellos en ese encuentro se prometieron que verían el mundo exterior juntos y él le dijo que desde ese momento seria su Darling, palabra que podríamos traducir al español como “cariño” o “querido”.

   Bien, el concepto más grande de esta serie es “¿como en una civilización donde el concepto del amor fue abolido pueden los niños convertirse en adultos y volver a procrear?”

   Los “Adultos” en el final de la serie fueron destruidos por los mismos alienígenas que impulsaron a los clapsosaurios a vivir bajo tierra y ahora solo quedan los niños, estos niños lograron repeler a los alienígenas gracias al apoyo de los clapsosaurios que antes atacaban a la humanidad. Pero sin adultos que crearan más niños de forma artificial y sin alguien que los cuiden ¿Cómo es que logrará sobrevivir la humanidad?

   Esta serie es increíble desde el punto de vista de ver realmente los sentimientos, como alguien puede escapar de su “jaula mental” y luchar por amor. Volverse adulto no es un cambio físico, es un cambio mental, espiritual y sobre todo de responsabilidades. Ahora después de ver esta serie, siento que puedo apoyarme en los demás para que sean el ala que me falta, pues de cierta manera todos los seres humanos somos iguales al Franx, esa ave imperfecta que sin apoyo de los demás, nunca logrará volar.

   Not necessarily a great animation means a great story or a great anime, however sometimes we judge an amine of which we do not know anything by its animation and decide if we give the opportunity and see the first episode. Darling in the FranXX is the perfect example to show how terribly wrong we are when we do that, being the same an anime with a great story and development and personally one of my favorites I would even say that is my second favorite anime among all I've seen. Having a simple animation doesn't take anything away from Darling in the FranXX, on the contrary it adds a unique feeling.

   For those who haven't seen it, I'll tell you the basics about this work with the least amount of spoilers so that if you decide to watch it, you won't be ruined by any of the surprises presented in the episodes and evolution of the story. The most basic thing about this anime is that it is Mecha style which are controlled by two people a boy and a girl who combine to manage together the robot called Franxx. The concept of the anime is simple to understand at first, a post-apocalyptic world where humanity as expected ruins the planet and now live in mechanical giant bases which are attacked by strange creatures and to survive depend on the boys and Franxx pilots are able to beat them. A fairly simple concept at first and striking but as the story progresses it gets deeper and reveals amazing events and secrets that one did not anticipate.

   While throughout the anime one sympathizes and gets attached to all the characters and members of the pilot squadron, the two main characters and with whom the whole story develops around them are Hiro and the so unique and special Zero Two. The story not only revolves around the discovery of the events and battles on earth but also shows us in a great way the development of the romance between Hiro and Zero Two as well as their personal history and past. Simply a great combination of action, combat, drama and romance, in terms of history and evolution this anime has a great variety to offer and entertain us. Perhaps as a small criticism is that it does not take advantage or create a great past or background for the other guys on the team, although each has different and unique personalities does not deepen their thoughts or personal history.

   As for the animation and designs this anime has a very simple and classic style, despite being from 2018 when I first saw it I thought it was much older since its animation reminded me and it looked very much like Neon Genesis Evangelion and it dates from 1995, the designs mostly give that feeling of being handmade and with them we remember that feeling of when we saw animes 10-15 years ago in our youth (we already started to feel old haha). But no doubt as I said at the beginning and in the title itself, this classic and basic animation does not subtract anything from this incredible anime, on the contrary it gives it a very special look and shows us what happens when you focus much more on the story, characters and knowing how to narrate an anime than just making a good animation.

   Personally I do not have many things that I can object or criticize about this anime, as I said for something is my second favorite anime of all, the development of the episodes, the evolution of the protagonists, know how to use the elements of drama, romance and action to not get tired or saturated of any point of the anime, all carried out and with a great harmony. Among the few things that I would have liked to focus more would be: to create more story for the other characters and perhaps the story told in the last chapter would have been extended in two or three episodes, as many anime and series the ending is always something extremely complicated and while the end of Darling in The Franxx was fantastic and unpredictable decide to show and tell many events in a single chapter of 24 minutes and gives the feeling that ends up being somewhat hasty but the final scene corrects all that giving you a unique impression and at the same time leaving it open for your interpretation and perhaps a possible second season.    No necesariamente una gran animación significa una gran historia o un gran anime, sin embargo a veces juzgamos un amine del cual no conocemos nada por su animación y decidimos si le damos la oportunidad y ver el primer episodio. Darling in the FranXX es el ejemplo perfecto para demostrar lo terriblemente equivocados que estamos cuando hacemos eso, siendo el mismo un anime con historia y desarrollo estupendo y en lo personal uno de mis favoritos incluso diría que es mi segundo anime preferido entre todos los que he visto. El hecho de tener una animación sencilla no le resta nada a Darling in the FranXX, todo lo contrario le agrega una sensación única.

   Para aquellos que no hayan visto les comentare lo más básico sobre esta obra con la menor cantidad de spoiler para que si deciden verlo no les arruine nada de las sorpresas que nos presentan en los episodios y evolución de la historia. Lo más básico sobre este anime es que es del estilo Mecha los cuales son controlados dos por personas un chico y una chica quienes se combinan para juntos lograr manejar el robot llamado Franxx. El concepto del anime es sencillo de entender en un principio, un mundo post apocalíptico en donde la humanidad como es de esperar arruina el planeta y ahora viven en bases gigantes mecánicas las cuales son atacadas por criaturas extrañas y para sobrevivir dependen de que los chicos y pilotos de Franxx sean capaz de vencerlos. Un concepto bastante sencillo en un principio y llamativo pero a medida que avanza la historia se vuelve más profundo y revelan sucesos y secretos asombrosos que uno no anticipaba.

   Si bien a lo largo del anime uno simpatiza y les agarra cariño a todos los personajes y miembros del escuadrón de pilotos, los dos personajes principales y con los cuales se desarrolla toda la historia alrededor de ellos son Hiro y la tan única y especial Zero Two. La historia no solo gira en torno al descubrimiento de los sucesos y combates en la tierra sino también nos muestran de gran forma el desarrollo del romance entre Hiro y Zero Two así como su historia y pasado personal. Simplemente una gran combinación de acción, combates, drama y romance, en cuanto a historia y evolución este anime tiene una gran variedad para ofrecernos y entretenernos. Tal vez como una pequeña critica es que no se aprovecha ni se crea un gran pasado o trasfondo para los demás chicos integrantes del equipo, si bien cada uno tiene personalidades diferentes y únicas no se profundiza en sus pensamientos o historia personal.

   En cuanto a la animación y diseños este anime tiene un estilo muy simple y clásico, a pesar de ser del año 2018 cuando lo vi por primera pensé que era mucho más antiguo ya que su animación me recordó y se me pareció mucho a Neon Genesis Evangelion y el mismo data del año 1995, los diseños en su mayoría dan esa sensación de ser hechos a mano y con ellos nos recuerda ese sentimiento de cuando veíamos animes hace 10-15 años en nuestra juventud ( ya nos empezamos a sentir viejos jaja). Pero sin duda como dije al principio y en el propio título, esta animación clásica y básica no le resta nada a este increíble anime, todo lo contrario le da una apariencia muy especial y nos demuestra que sucede cuando se enfocan mucho más en la historia, personajes y saber narrar un anime que en solo hacer una buena animación.

   En lo personal no tengo muchas cosas que pueda objetar o criticar sobre este anime, como les dije por algo es mi segundo anime preferido de todos, el desarrollo de los episodios, la evolución de los protagonistas, saber utilizar los elementos de drama romance y acción para no llegar a cansar o saturar de alguno en ningún punto del anime, todo llevado a cabo y con una armonía estupenda. Entre las pocas cosas que me hubiera gustado que se enfocaran más serian: que crearan más historia para los demás personajes y tal vez que la historia contada en el último capítulo la hubieran extendido en dos o tres episodios, como muchos animes y series el final siempre es algo sumamente complicado y si bien el final de Darling in The Franxx fue fantástico e impredecible deciden mostrar y contar muchos sucesos en un solo capitulo de 24 minutos y da la sensación que termina siendo algo apresurado pero la escena final corrige todo eso dándote una impresión única y al mismo tiempo dejándolo abierto para tu interpretación y tal vez una posible segunda temporada. A todos aquellos que no hayan tenido el gusto de ver este anime aprovechen para ello pues lo más probable es que les guste mucho y a diferencia de casi todos los nuevos animes de solo 12-13 capítulos este cuenta con 24 episodios que sin duda te entretendrán mucho. Para aquellos que lo hayan visto déjenme sus opiniones de que les pareció y si por el contrario no les gusto en lo absoluto o que le criticarían al mismo.

   Quiero dar mi opinión sobre el anime Darling in the FranXX. Iré directo al grano, si no has visto la serie no entenderás mucho de lo que digo y te encontrarás con muchos SPOILERS. Sin más, aquí vamos.

   La trama se desarrolla con lentitud, desde el comienzo hay muchas interrogantes que no se responden hasta muy avanzada la historia ¿Qué pasó con el resto de las personas? ¿Son ellos los únicos habitantes? ¿Por qué los niños no están con los adultos? ¿Por qué solo los niños pueden pilotear los FRANXX? ¿Qué son los Klaxosaurios, de dónde provienen? ¿Quién es “Papá” y por qué es el líder de los humanos que están en Plantation?

   Para un anime de 24 episodios desarrollan lo que realmente podría ser interesante de manera muy lenta. Al principio yo pensé que el argumento se enfocaba en el enfrentamiento de la humanidad con los Klaxosaurios, en batallas emocionantes. Porque a pesar de las interrogantes que había no se mostraba ninguna intención por resolverlas, por lo menos no de momento. Pero el enfoque no fue hacia la guerra entre humanos y Klaxosaurios, hay batallas, pero algunas son tan fugaces, y en algunos episodios ni hay, por lo que vemos que se centran en otra cosa. La convivencia entre los personajes principales es de lo que realmente trata la serie. No había tomas separadas donde ocurriera algo que ellos no imaginasen, o donde alguien revelara un detalle, donde idearan un plan que afectaría la vida de los protagonistas y le diera un giro inesperado a la trama. Sentí que varios episodios fueron en realidad “relleno”, “fanservice”. Aunque si decimos que en realidad es un anime de romance, historias de la vida, colegial (ambientado en un universo post-apcalíptico), entonces explicaría por qué se desarrolla como lo hace.

   En el episodio siete ocurre un hecho que pensé podría ser el enganche, y no me refiero a ver las chicas en trajes de baño, en especial a Zero Two, la “waifu” de la temporada, sino cuando todos visitan una ciudad abandonada. La arquitectura es semejante a la de un pueblo cualquiera en la década de los años 20 del siglo XXI. Siendo la primera vez que nuestros personajes ven otras casas aparte de la suya ¿Qué pasó con la gente que vivía ahí? Aún se pueden ver las pertenencias de los que alguna vez habitaron esos hogares. Kokoro, nuestra chica tímida encuentra un libro sobre la reproducción y concepción, y lo toma sin que nadie lo sepa. Estos temas no están en los libros que ellos conocen, hablar de ellos es prohibido.

   Sin embargo, después de esto no se menciona nada al respecto, no se toma en cuenta, ni sobre algún tema interesante, sino hasta el capítulo 13, en donde se comienza a mostrar el pasado de Zero Two. A partir de aquí es donde la historia se comienza a tornar más atractiva; se revela el pasado de algunos personajes, se añaden nuevos sujetos que generan intriga. Es el punto en donde pensamos que algo bueno puede surgir de todo esto. Descubrimos que los Klaxosaurios tienen un líder, la Princesa Klaxosaurio, como le denomina el consejo de gobierno liderado por “Papá”, de apariencia humanoide pero con cuernos y tentáculos, quien vive en las profundidades de la Tierra, y es conocida por el consejo por alguna razón.

   Ahora bien, no es sino hasta el episodio 19 que se revelan la mayor parte de interrogantes, comienzan a revelarlas una a una desde el punto de vista del Doctor Frank. Los temas son realmente interesantes, la aparición de “Papá” y sus aliados, conocidos como APE, quienes promueven el Magma como nueva fuente de energía, sustituyendo al petróleo por ser más económico y funcional, provocando un avance tecnológico a gran escala, y trayendo a foco el tema de la inmortalidad en humanos. La inmortalidad afectaba el sistema reproductivo de los seres humanos, por lo que la población se reduce en gran medida en los años posteriores, además de ser un recurso únicamente accesible para los millonarios. APE se posicionó como líderes del mundo debido a su éxito, con la extracción del Magma aparecieron los Klaxosaurios por primera vez, la humanidad desarrolló las “Plantation”, fortalezas móviles, además de armas (los FRANXX) con el poder de detener a estas monstruosas criaturas. Los FRANXX se desarrollaron con el estudio de células de Klaxosaurios, y contenían curiosamente, los crmosomas XX de los humanos, por lo que de alguna forma solo podían ser operados por personas que mantuvieran sus funciones reproductivas, donde entra el doble sentido bien plasmado, adolescentes de diferentes sexos, donde el chico prácticamente “monta” por detrás a la chica, 10/10 por plasmarlo en la pantalla y no ofender a nadie, por lo que los adultos quedaron descartados al perder dichas funciones por la inmortalidad.

   El argumento me parece fascinante, pero cuando pensábamos que eso era todo, surgen nuevas revelaciones. Resulta que APE en realidad son invasores del espacio, una especie que se autodenomina VIRM, cuyo propósito es adueñarse del Magma, logrando infiltrarse en la sociedad y convirtiéndose en líderes sin que se sepa su origen. Además, la Princesa Klaxosaurio estuvo en la Tierra antes que los humanos, y su constante lucha en contra de APE es para proteger la Tierra, su hogar.

   Un gran problema que tengo con este anime es que quisieron terminar y arreglar todo de golpe. La adición de la Princesa es básicamente para anunciar que existió, pero tan rápido como entra se va. El tema de los invasores del espacio me parece que está demás o que genera muchos hoyos en la historia, si de verdad tenían un ejército tan grande ¿Por qué no solo invadieron la Tierra y se apoderaron del Magma?

   No me gustó para nada el final, aparte de que tratan de cerrar todo de golpe, el hecho de que solo Zero Two y Hiro en versión súper FRANXX sean suficientes para hacer frente a un ejército planetario no me agrada. Me gustan más los finales realistas que los felices, pero me agrada un final feliz bien hecho y justificado. No desestimo el sentido de supervivencia y superación de los seres humanos. Pero el hecho de que prácticamente un solo sacrificio comprara tanta felicidad, después de añadir elementos que dificultan dicho final, termina por desagradarme más.

   En conclusión, Darling in the FRANXX me parece un anime que deja mucho que desear, contiene un argumento que tenía mucho para explotar, pero que al final se perjudicó con los agregados que no eran necesarios. En base a 5 le doy un 3 al argumento; en cuanto a personajes los considero interesantes algunos, aunque otros no pintan nada de nada y su evolución parece tan ficticia como la obra, pero algunas evolucionan con el paso de la historia de manera interesante, le doy un 3; en cuanto a Universo, sin la parte de los invasores me gustaba mucho, le doy un 3; la animación es una de mis favoritas, quizá por eso lo vi hasta el final, le doy un 5. En total tiene 3 por lo que pudo ser y por su animación, aunque si estás buscando un anime de género colegial y romance, este es para ti. Para mí es un anime regular.

    The official website for Trigger and A-1 Pictures' DARLING in the FRANXX anime revealed on Friday that the show's heroines — including voice actresses Haruka Tomatsu, Kana Ichinose Nanami Yamashita, Saori Hayami, and Shizuka Ishigami — will perform the show's ending theme song under the unit name "Kiss Me."

    The show stars:

    • Yūto Uemura as Code:016 "Hiro" and Haruka Tomatsu as Code:002 "Zero Two" with their Franxx named Strelizia
    • Kana Ichinose as Code:015 "Ichigo" and Yuichiro Umehara as Code:056 "Goro" with their Franxx named Delphinium
    • Nanami Yamashita as Code:390 "Miku" and Mutsumi Tamura as Code:666 "Zorome" with their Franxx named Argentea
    • Saori Hayami as Code:556 "Kokoro" and Hiroki Gotou as Code:214 "Futoshi" with their Franxx named Genista
    • Shizuka Ishigami as Code:196 "Ikuno" and Aoi Ichikawa as Code:326 "Mitsuru" with their Franxx named Chlorophytum
    • Marina Inoue as Nana
    • Katsuyuki Konishi as Hachi
    • Kenyuu Horiuchi as Dr. Franxx

    The series will premiere on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, GTV, and BS11 at 11:30 p.m. on January 13. The anime will also air on ABC, Mētele, Hiroshima Home TV, BSS, BBC (Biwako Broadcasting Co), and AT-X. Crunchyroll will stream the series with English subtitles as it airs in Japan, and Funimation will stream an English dub.

    The story is set in the distant future. The land is ruined, and humanity establishes the mobile fort city Plantation. Pilots produced inside Plantation live in Mistilteinn, also know as the "birdcage." Children live there knowing nothing of the outside world or the freedom of the sky. Their lives consist of battling to carry out missions. Their enemies are mysterious giant lifeforms known as Kyōryū, and the children pilot robots called Franxx to face off against them. For the children, riding the Franxx proves their existence.

    A boy named Hiro is called Code:016, and he was once known as a prodigy. However, he has fallen behind, and his existence seems unnecessary. Not piloting a Franxx is the same as ceasing to exist. One day, a mysterious girl known as "Zero Two" appears before him. Two horns grow out of her head.

    Atsushi Nishigori (The IDOLM@STER, character designer for Gurren Lagann) is directing the series, and Toshifumi Akai (chief animation director for Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Sound of the Sky) is assistant director. Nishigori and Naotaka Hayashi (director for Girl Friend BETA, Morita-san wa Mukuchi) are in charge of series composition. Masayoshi Tanaka (anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, Highschool of the Dead) is designing the characters and is chief animation director. Shigeto Koyama (Michiko & Hatchin, Ancien and the Magic Tablet) is providing the mechanical designs. Hiroyuki Imaishi (director of Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill) is supervising the action. Mika Nakashima (NANA) and L'Arc-en-Ciel's Hyde are collaborating on the opening theme song "Kiss of Death." Hyde wrote and composed the song while Nakashima provided the vocals.
