  1. Dr. STONE || Highly recommend to watch@devyswan1325d

Hello Hive friends! ‎ ‎Anime for me is more than just entertainment, but more like a window into a world full of wonder, science, and the human spirit... One anime that truly captured my imagination and rekindled my love of science was Dr.Stone...

    What is Dr.Stone?

Dr.Stone is a Japanese comic and an animated series made by riichiro inagaki and illustrated by the boichi... It began serialization in 2017 and anime's adaptation premiered in 2019... The story of this anime is told thousands of years in the future after a mysterious event turned every human on earth into a stone statue...

Centuries later, a young scientist named senku ishigami woke up in this petrified world determined to rebuild civilization from the beginning using the power of science... This series followed suit on me and his friends as they struggled to survive and restore mankind through discoveries, experiments, and strategic battles against rival factions...

    Theme and character

I think, in my opinion, that anime celebrates the science and intelligence of human beings... Different from many other anime focused on action or fantasy? Dr.Stone highlights logical thinking, experimentation, and scientific methods as a means of survival... What's more, my art he's a powerful inspiring protagonist, his enthusiasm to learn and solve problems... Characteristics supporting such as:

    • taiju
    • yuzuriha
    • chrome

Warmth, humor, and color the story I think they have a unique skill and perspective that supplement my art intelligence and help this group overcome obstacles... It also explfies friendship, perseverance and ethical dilemmes in rebuilding societie...

    Personal reflection

Interns are watching Dr.Stone like a fresh breeze for me. In a world full of fantasy and supernatural forces , it's nice to see stories that are rooted in real science and the human spirit. I really felt I was learning and became curious about chemistry, physics, and engineering thanks to the way anime here explained his discoveries and experiments clearly but it was still entertaining...

Personally, Dr.Stone reminded me of the importance of perseverance and creativity when dealing with problems. His unwavering optimism of art and intellect show that no matter how trapped or choked our feelings in life, there is always a way forward with knowledge and determination... Anime this gave me hope and motivation to face my own challenges, both in science and in other aspects of life...

    Conclusion and invitation

Unless you've seen Dr.Stone, I highly recommend it... whether you're a science buff, an adventure, or a story on human toughness... It is unique anime, as well as educating and consoling, reminding us that even in the most difficult times, our wits and passions are able to rebuild the world.

Thanks for reading my review... I would love to know what you think of Dr.Stone or some other anime who has been inspiring... Let's, we discuss and share passion at hive!

    Best regards, Devy

  2. Anime Review: Dr. STONE@seunruth327d

Imagine waking up to find that every single person on Earth has been turned to stone—not dead, but petrified, frozen in time like marble statues. That’s exactly what happens in Dr. Stone. Thousands of years pass, nature reclaims cities, and all traces of modern life crumble—until one brilliant high school scientist, Senku Ishigami, cracks out of his stone shell.

I’ll be honest. What first prompted me to watch Dr. Stone wasn’t a deep interest in science. It wasn’t even because someone recommended it. I stumbled upon it during a late-night scroll through anime lists. The art style looked intriguing—sharp, expressive, almost primal—and the title? Mysterious enough to hook me. A quick glance at the synopsis—a world turned to stone and a genius boy determined to rebuild civilization through science—sealed the deal.

I hit play. One episode in, I knew I wasn’t going back.

What comes next is more than a survival story. It is a masterclass in scientific innovation, a struggle of ideologies, and a very human story about regaining connection, meaning and hope.

Senku is not the kind of shonen protagonist. He does not come here to yell and beat people senseless or use magic. Rather, his weapon is his mind. His power? Science. Armed with only his intelligence, will, and a handful of resurrected cronies, he sets out to reconstruct civilization almost literally brick by brick, invention by invention--fire to antibiotics, glass to the telephone, even cola. Yes, cola.

It is not only the post apocalyptic environment or the art style that makes Dr. Stone so captivating. It is the love letter to the human ingenuity which it all comes down to.

Every episode is a real survival experiment adventure. You are the audience, you learn as you observe- how soap is made, how electricity works, how to distill alcohol or make medicine. It does not feel like a lecture though. Rather, it gives the impression that you are a member of the team of Senku and are cheering him up when he is reviving the stone world.

And the stakes are real. It is not only to rebuild. It is to awaken the whole of mankind. Not all are as he sees it.

In comes a powerhouse called Tsukasa Shishio who had a very different idea. He thinks that the pure-hearted and young only must be revived. In his perception, the world of the past had been corrupt. What is the point of bringing it back?

This preconditions one of the main tensions of the anime: Do we restore everything in the same way it was before? Or do we rebuild and see what we can improve?

It is a philosophical conflict that gives the show an additional depth of storytelling. In Dr. Stone, science is not described as neutral. It is an instrument--a potent one--and it can be used either to heal or to destroy according to the hands that wield it and the purposes to which it is applied.

Senku, despite his obsession with facts and logic, cares deeply for people. He doesn’t save lives for praise or fame. He does it because he believes in humanity’s potential to rise, fall, and rise again.

And there is one scene, which remains in my memory after I watched it long ago: when Senku with the help of primitive instruments synthesizes antibiotics to save a seriously ill girl named Ruri. The relief, the happiness, the sheer amazement of science saving a life, it touched me.

Then there is the time when they construct a working radio and successfully call somebody long distance. When the person cries because she/he hears voice of a loved one after thousands of years, you realize how much you take communication for granted.

And these are not only science moments, they are human moments of connection, of advancement, of hope.

Viewing Dr. Stone was not only an entertainment to me. It changed my worldview.

In an age when we are becoming more and more distracted with instant gratification and short cuts, here was a tale that glorified process, patience and persistence. It reminded me of the unsung heroes of our conveniences the scientists, thinkers and inventors who worked centuries to give us electricity, medicine, and running water amongst others.

It also came to remind me of another thing: our frailty and strength. Take away our technology, our urban centers and our systems and what remains? Our brains. Our spirit. The desire we have to create.

Senku reflects such spirit. He is not faultless. He is an arrogant, sarcastic person, who is forgetful of the emotional aspect of things. But his commitment, his idea of knowledge can rescue the world that struck me.

If you’re looking for a series that’s different—one that doesn’t rely on endless battles or flashy superpowers—Dr. Stone is it.

It’s for the curious, the dreamers, the thinkers. It’s for anyone who’s ever asked why? or how? and wanted to do something about it.

It’s a love story—not between people, but between humanity and discovery.

  3. Anime Review ~ Dr. Stone: A Stone Age Revival | Journey Through Science and Survival@papamogambo369d

Hello Anime Lovers, Dr. Stone One Of The Greatest for me. I had watched Season 1 of it, Anime like Okay-Okay, but after Season 2, Instructed became my second favorite anime.

There will be some spoilers in this review, otherwise I will not be able to explain the plot. That is, I am sent to a world where there is no modern technology, as if some storage is running. But the humans living in this world have model knowledge – and why is this so, for this you will have to understand the plot.

So without any delay, let's talk about the Dr. Stone plot.

    Story Overview

It is best to start when in the normal modern world, suddenly a green light was ill and all the human senses and voices turn into stone. And they do not die – they just remain imprisoned in the stone. If not because of the fans of humanity, then it recovers itself.

Thousands of years pass and here comes our main character Senku, who comes out of the stone after 3000 years. And he is very intelligent - I will say intelligent, he went to this goal.

He has a solution for everything. After coming out of the stone, he sees that the airplane mode whole thing which took 20 lakh years to develop, is now finished in a snap. And all the women have turned into stone. Science has disappeared from this world of speculations.

Senku sets out on his mission - to restore the maintenance. And in this journey, many problems come up. And to go there you will have to watch. This LMB Scientific Project has been shown to be very fun, and you are not going to get bored at all.

    Technical Aspects

And talking about the background music, it is also very fun and very interesting.

So main reasons – distant – I don’t think they should not. I like comedy – this deep average balance between humans and serious. In the revision, the Saint Vincent del Bosque story is like this. It has a lot of sugar candy which has not yet become gravy – till the pimples.

And objective question – the reason for both of these, both are very good. But in the meantime, the laughter in its comedy scenes is not less than in Sab.

And I saw in Sab and what has gone at this time, so most unique.

Have you seen this anime? If you have seen the movie, then be sure to tell us in the comments how you liked it. If you haven't, then I request you to watch it at least once.

  4. Dr. Stone: An anime that reminded me of my laboratory practices [ENG/ESP]@cjlugo440d

1126614.jpg Source | Image edited in Adobe Photoshop

I recently started watching Dr. Stone, although I had noticed this story in a manga a long time ago, I did not read it at that time, in fact I still do not, however I decided to go directly to the adaptation, and one of the things that reminded me were my chemistry practices in the laboratory when I was studying at the university.

While I must say that I'm not much of a character lover, I quite like the story due to the fact that it has an interesting plot. Imagine waking up thousands of years after a humanitarian catastrophe and being the only survivor of humanity, with the possibility of bringing others to life, well, something like that is what we see in this story, but much better constructed of course.

Zenku, the main character, is a “brainiac” a young man who since childhood loved science, and because of that he has an abysmal knowledge of how to create things, and in that sense he is very impressive because he elaborates many things in a scientific way, which is something I particularly like.

    1030614.jpg Source

Now, returning to the story, we can see a whole youth living their normal life, until, for “unknown” reasons all humans are turned into stone, I say unknown because I still do not know what they are, because I'm just finishing the first season, I guess later the causes of this phenomenon will be revealed, but all have been turned into stone, some of them aware of their condition while others are not.

Then our protagonist wakes up thousands of years later and tries to create a new civilization with his knowledge, something that is bearing fruit as time goes by when he learns how to eliminate petrification in other people. But not everything is rosy, since due to a life or death situation a very strong man is petrified, who will eventually become a tyrant under twisted ideals.

So much for my explanation of the story, practically that is the main context, but it is interesting the struggle of ideals, one wants to bring back all humanity while the other only wants to bring young people to avoid the anarchy of adults, but being anarchic at the same time.

    1211253.jpg Source

I like the plot because the earth is in a natural state, humanity is devastated, and the few men there are have advanced knowledge to recreate things. They really seem like very good elements to me. As I said before, I don't like the characters very much, mostly because of the attitude the author gives them, but as far as the story is concerned, so far I've liked it quite a lot.

Share your impressions in the comments, especially if you've already seen it, but keep in mind that I'm only going on the first season.

    Thanks for reading

  5. Dr Stone: Science Future [Eng/Esp]@seki1461d

This is another show sequel that was slept on because of the Solo Leveling rage that occured this anime winter. To be honest, I just might have slept on it too if I wasn't actually looking out for the show. The previous Dr Stone Seasons have shown just how adrenaline filled this show can get with minimal action scenes and hand to hand combats, so I was kinda curious as to what I'll see here and I wasn't disappointed ✨

    Dr Stone: Science Future

*** ### Plot > The search for why man is ongoing and the destination has been found. Senku and the gang must get to the moon before their questions about the petrification ray can be answered. Building a rocket station isn't a small task, so Senku and the others are in need of more man power and in need of corn. They decide to make a move on the corn belt on the America's and to their shock, there's already another community there. One led no less by Senku's science mentor. It's a battle of sciences, may the best science user win in this science future. *** The one thing about Dr Stone is how the inventions are made from everyday seen, kicked, crushed or ignored objects. There's this exhilaration I get when I watch the creation of something complex from something so elementary. The bubbling of sulphur, the removal of potassium, and heating of calcium, the adrenaline gotten from creation. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/fESehzQxSjwAAAAC/god-no-stop.gif) And the creations in this latest seasons were just crazy. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/xbMbRJkP7WMAAAAC/senku-and-ryusui-science-future.gif) It's not only about the creations in this season. Traveling to America meant new concepts, new visuals and new characters and these characters were quite colorful. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/pD3XYsPSspcAAAAC/doctor-xeno-doctor-stone.gif) From the soldiers and the assassination attempt on Senku to the abduction of Zeno, this season was one that had so many twists and turns that always met you wanting more. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/t762uqbG4JcAAAAC/senku-ishigami-senku.gif) As always the comedy was commendable. It wasn't so humorous that I laughed uncontrollably at every word they said yet it was just enough. Enough to help reduce the seriousness of this season, helping bring this well know anime back to a the masses. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/5rnSYkAHYC0AAAAC/dr-stone-taiju.gif) Then the major antagonist, Zeno, is one character that I really liked. It's cool that Senku is all about helping all he can yet is it's rather common sense that there'll be people like Zeno, people who want to use the new dawn to place themselves as the kings. ![untitled.gif](https://media.tenor.com/r3afUAjjhw8AAAAC/dr-stone-dcst.gif) As you can see, in this season a lot is happening, current, Senku, Taiju and some others are in the run with Zeno in ropes, while the rest of people are working together of the rocket ship for "why man". It's a lovely season which I totally recommend ✨

    ESPANOL

    *** ***

    ESPANOL

  7. Dr Stone@irenenavarroart595d

Honestly, friends, I don’t know why I hadn’t seen Dr. Stone, however, I saw it a short time ago and I consider it to be a gem of an anime. At first, because of the drawing style, I thought it was going to be a generic shonen, but I was very wrong. I thought it was an excellent anime and I took the opportunity to watch it with my son. I think it’s one of those types of animes that people of any age can watch and fully enjoy. It has fiction and also a lot of science and comedy 😊

The anime is about Senku a very intelligent teenager who belongs to the chemistry club, one day while watching his muscular and shy friend Taiju trying to declare love to a girl named Yuzuriha, he sees a light like a ray that turns all human beings into stone, Senku wakes up 3700 years later on a completely different planet in appearance but still the Earth, obviously so many thousands of years did not pass in vain and nature followed its course modifying everything, but Senku in his petrified state had been mentally counting the seconds so he knew exactly how many years had passed, the first stage of the anime is about how he discovers the cause of why only he has woken up from petrification, as he is so intelligent he discovers that everything is due to the drops of nitric acid that fell from the cave where his body was entered and this made the petrification undo, then after 6 months of hard work trying to survive in the world thanks to the intelligence and power of science applied in its simplest principles, Senku manages to revive his friend Taiju, thus beginning an adventure in which they intend to find a way to revive Yuzuriha first and then devise a plan for the rest of humanity.

But in view of the fact that there are wild animals that threaten their lives they are forced to awaken someone strong, this is a young man named Tsukasa, this at first helps them but soon reveals that his plan is not to revive all human beings but that he plans to cleanse the world, he starts from the idea that the world before was very unequal and unfair with socially disadvantaged people, so to cleanse the evil you only have to revive young people and take the world to a primitive society without the use of science, as it was in the Stone Age.

As you can imagine, a large part of the anime’s story focuses on the fight between the two sides, the group that wants to return humanity as it was before, in other words, make a scientific kingdom, and the group that wants everything to be like a stone kingdom. I must say that what I liked most about the entire anime is that for every problem that arises, Senku puts into practice scientific principles, from the search for materials to the creation of tools necessary for the manufacture of increasingly useful objects, trying to carry out advances that in the past had taken hundreds or even thousands of years in a relatively short time. I love that the anime explains things to a certain extent in a realistic way, you can learn about the components or the bases of the manufacture of objects that we use daily and that we do not pay attention to, for example fabric or glass, but also about very important things that are the basis of true society such as for example efficient and controlled agriculture, the chemical compounds that are needed and also in a certain way industrialization and manufacturing, in short, the anime carries out small-scale experiments based on real principles.

To me it seems that it is a charming amime because it hooks you with the main story, but at the same time it educates you or makes you remember how valuable the advances of science are in our current world, I as an artist and craftswoman feel fully pleased with the treatment given to Senku’s projects, since not everything is based on the typical scientific principle but also great importance is given to the manual processes necessary in any activity that brings science to reality, for example it is useless to know how glass is made if the person has no experience in blowing glass, that is where the value of the craftsman is necessary and much later it is represented in the figure of Kaseki, an old craftsman who will graciously help Senku and the others to carry out the experiments that will make life better for those who fight on the side of the scientific kingdom.

I think I can’t say more so as not to reveal the content of the series and make it more interesting for you to watch, but obviously there are many mysteries to solve, such as the origin of the petrified ray and also seeing each of the experiments carried out, I feel that if you are interested in history, science and art you can feel satisfied with this anime, because it is also very fun and exciting, I highly recommend it.

  8. Solving a Dilemma Through Science (a Dr. Stone Plot)@tegoshei625d

Hey friends!!! I made a short plot based on Wild Plot Wednesday 19 prompt. I hope you like it! (^^,)

***Tensions ran high as Senku and Tsukasa engaged in a heated argument, their differing ideologies at the forefront. Senku aims for the revival of all the petrified individuals, while Tsukasa stood firm in his belief of creating a new world free from opportunistic adults.
Tsukasa who was scarred by past negative encounters with adults before the petrification, harbored a deep desire to purge the world of such individuals. On the other hand, Senku, a passionate advocate for science, thought differently. His sole aim was to reverse the petrification process and revive the world to its former glory through the power of science.
In the end, after several arguments and even literal battles between the two parties, they reached a consensus to revive everyone.
As the number of revived individuals grew, there was a significant increase in criminal activities as well. Multiple factions of ruthless individuals banded together, posing an undeniable threat to society.***

***Due to this, Senku instructed his team to temporarily pause the revival of certain individuals, particularly those known for being criminals. They have been very cautious about reviving adults in general and have yet to decide what to do with them.
Discover how Senku and the gang harness the power of science to overcome this challenge! Don't miss the special episode to find out!***

  9. Who is Dr. Stone? (Esp/Eng)@mamaemigrante854d

If at any point, for inexplicable reasons you find yourself in a completely petrified world, thousands of years in the future, what would you do?

Somewhat based on the Ice Age theory, this anime based on the manga created by Riichiro Inagaki, shows us a post-apocalyptic reality, in which humanity did not go extinct, but was petrified for many years.

The main character Senku Ishigami is the focal point of the story along with his counterpart Tsukasa Shishio, one using the power of knowledge and sciences, and the other the power of brute force and the ideals of a different society.

    Imdb cortesy

Both characters clash, each pulling towards the criteria they believe are best to rebuild society.

In this series, chemical processes play a fundamental role, since thanks to the discoveries of materials in nature, and the knowledge of the mixtures made over time, they add a fun touch to the study of this branch of science.

    Imdb cortesy

For Senku, advancing the evolution of this new humanity, thanks to the use of sciences, is a challenge. Luckily, coming across allies who support him while learning from him, lightens his path.

But besides Senku and Tsukasa, each of the other characters has significant contributions, showing us that in society we all have something that not only distinguishes us from the common, but is also important and useful.

    Imdb cortesy

And it's not just about chemistry, kaseki, an elderly artisan recruited to help in the making of glass and wooden utensils, turns out to be a great contribution to science. His prior knowledge of construction techniques helped the so-called "scientorists" (scientists and sorcerers) make considerable advances to progress what in the previous world took decades to accomplish.

A key element during the end of the third season has been the power of music and its effects on people. Senku knows this and has used a sample of it to his advantage to gather allies against Tsukasa within his own territory.

    Imdb cortesy

To give more details would truly be a huge spoiler of the story, although it will always be better to go to the original source to delight in each chapter.

Right now, I am thinking of turning to the manga to see what happens next in the story, as this anime leaves you eager to discover along with its characters, the enormous capabilities of man to not only master the elements, but make them work in their favor.

  10. Dr. STONE: Stone World (S1 E1) Review@afterglow876d

    Source

    Greetings!

Human extinction is one of the subjects that I like very much when it comes to movies and series. In my lifetime I have seen numerous depictions of human extinction and I cannot recall all of them now. In anime, I cannot remember how many I already watched, or maybe I haven't watched any.

I think most of the human extinction that I watched involved a high level of struggle. In Dr. Stone, the perceived act of human extinction seems to not include prolonged struggle but is undoubtedly somewhat disastrous, think of flying planes, moving vehicles, and gas stoves if they are left unattended it will be catastrophic.

    Plot

On a normal day when Taiju is about to confess his love to Yuzuriha a weird green light suddenly appears from the horizon and in a matter of seconds it engulfs the whole world and petrifies everyone who comes into contact with it.

Taiju attempts to shield Yuzuriha from the green light. Source: screenshot from Dr. Stone anime

    3700 years later

3700 years after the weird green light appears one of the characters named Senku breaks free of being petrified and embarks on a quest to reverse the petrification of all human beings. Six months later, Taiju also breaks free, and the two join forces together in seeking to reverse the certification of all human beings.

The idea of "3700 years" made me think about how the two protagonists Senku and Taiju were able to become human again because it was shown that the petrification completely turned a human into stone. Could it be because of the mystical effects of the petrification? I am so curious about it and I am very curious to see if it is going to be revealed in the next episodes.

Plot hole or part of the plot?

It was stated at the beginning of the episode that "every man, woman, and child on Earth instantly turned to stone". That statement makes me think that only humans were turned into stone. But there are also scenes where a dog is shown alive and well (did not turn into stone but the owner is) and then there's a bird that turned to stone. Plot hole or part of the plot?

It is only the first episode and I think it will be answered in the coming episodes why a dog did not turn into stone whereas numerous birds were turned into stone. Aside from the birds that were shown no other animals were shown that turned to stone (which makes me curious yet again).

A dog did not turn to stone... ... but a bird did.

Source: screenshot from Dr. Stone anime

    Breaking free

As fast as the protagonists were turned to stone in the first episode it was also in the first episode when Senku was able to discover the cure for the petrification. A lot of questions pops out on my mind when it was revealed that the cure was discovered, which are "What's next?", and "How does Senku plan to de-petrify all humans?", "Is the cure going to be exploited?". All remains to be seen in the coming episodes.

    Conclusion

This episode is interesting enough to make me watch the next episode because there are lots of questions to be answered. The style of animation is good. It seems to be a fast-paced series (I like fast-paced movies and series). The dialogue and dubbing are good except for the occasional screaming of one of the characters. But I am going to immediately watch the next episode after I click the "PUBLISH" button for this blog.

That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.

Thank you very much to all of the Hive Ecosystem Curation Teams/Individuals, I am very grateful for the upvotes/curation/support. God bless you all!

  11. Dr. STONE is a good anime for the heart and for our knowledge@musicandreview941d

There are anime that may not be destined to succeed from a media point of view or that in time will not be remembered by the common fandom. I'm not saying that this is the case with Dr. STONE, since the anime is still currently on the air, but I feel that the manga ended without any glory. Of course, not all anime are obliged to be super successful, since there are few that manage to stay in time and are considered cult, but there are others that fulfill a different function and that from their origin have a mission that is not necessarily aimed at the masses.

Such is the case of Dr. STONE, an anime with a type of plot and story that we have never seen (or so I think) and that perhaps only some may feel interest since it constantly touches on scientific topics that may bore most, but for those of us who are curious and who once felt attracted to that subject matter we may find it very interesting. When I was a kid I had an old encyclopedia of general geography and science from which I was able to learn a couple of things that obviously are not so deep, but that made me feel very interested in the scientific world.

To give you a little more context about the anime Dr. STONE, it presents us with a world in which humans were turned into stone after a great green flash covered the entire earth. Thousands of years passed until the first human was able to get out of petrification and that is where the protagonist Senku comes in, although some time later we realize that he is not the only one who was able to free himself from that state and that there are other native humans living in primitive villages.

Senku, is a super intelligent young man who since childhood was very interested in science and was naturally good at it, he was enterprising and liked to invent things that although it is true that they did not always work out well, they were quite advanced. So, when he woke up from petrification he immediately realized what had happened and was even able to calculate the number of years he had been turned into stone, so he began to draw conclusions about what could have happened and set to work to try to awaken others.

Having spent thousands of years without human activity, the structures disappeared and nature was responsible for recovering all its territory, so the earth reverted to a kind of stone age in which there is no technology and in which everything was lost all kinds of progress or scientific knowledge, So those who woke up had to manage to live at the expense of nature and start everything from scratch, that's where Senku comes into action and becomes a very valuable element because of his intelligence, he could solve some basic things for survival, but not everyone had the ability to understand.

    image.png

    Source

Evidently the bad guys do not take long to appear, there are also others who woke up and have some intelligence, but above all they are willing to use force to try to dominate the new world. This is how a war is generated between two sides in which on one side will use intelligence and on the other force. From here on I will not tell you more about it so as not to give you more spoilers, but I think you can already get an idea of what this anime and the adventures of Senku and company.

In the title of this post I say that Dr. STONE is a good anime for the heart not precisely because we see intense romances or because it leaves us with great reflections, but because it is one that teaches us things that go beyond the usual. For me in particular I find it gratifying to know how some things work that are explained in a quite didactic way so that we can all understand and assimilate, that certainly has to reach your heart because it is very valuable information that maybe you will never need to use, but it is interesting to know.

So, if you are looking for a different anime, that offers plots that are far from what we normally see, Dr. STONE is an excellent choice, it is fun, entertaining, funny, with charismatic characters, but most importantly, we learn in the process.

  12. Dr. Stone review, one of the must popular anime of the spring season [ENG-ESP]@wisejg1176d

For as long as I can remember how the open television channels broadcast all kinds of animated series in the afternoons. But among all the content there was one that stood out above the rest. I am talking about anime. Hivers is very proud to declare that I am a complete otaku. And since good things are shared, today I will talk about one of the anime that I fell in love with, an anime that goes beyond any simplistic story, that even with much property I affirm that it will leave you a lesson no matter how small it may seem. Today I will talk about Dr. Stone

    drstone (2).gif

This anime tells the story of Senku, a young scientist who after 3700 years wakes up in a world where all humanity has been petrified after being hit by a strange green light. That would be the brief synopsis since the whole development of this anime is a tremendous masterpiece.

    senku.jpg [Senku](https://wall.alphacoders.com/big.php?i=981906&lang=Spanish)

Dr. Stone is very interesting because of the scientific issues that are raised and how they will serve to bring humanity back to life. One of the most remarkable aspects of the series is how extremely educational it is and I am not referring to current teachings but to reinventing everything we already know, from the reinvention of a coke to a pair of shoes, accompanied by an impressive animation that will make you want to see the reinvention of everything. It is one of the most pleasurable and emotional experiences you will ever see in an anime, you will learn about the power of science.

In this anime you will find very charismatic characters that manage to generate empathy quickly with the viewer. On the other hand the animation as I mentioned before is very good Dr. Stone has very detailed scenes that manage to sell the events seen in each episode.

    personajes.jpg [Characters/Personajes](https://www.peakpx.com/en/hd-wallpaper-desktop-klknn)

If you have ever been interested in science and technology, Dr. Stone is the series you should watch. And if your case is the opposite, this anime apart from science and technology talks a lot of endless scientific information. Scientific experiments in each episode performed with the most rudimentary and unthinkable instruments, real data of absolutely everything mentioned, that gives more credibility to the scientific dialogues, you will not find any erroneous data. Other recurring themes are the part of human engineering and how this serves to make great leaps in the restructuring of the petrified world in which they live. Dr. Stone addresses each branch of science and manages to transmit the teaching through his characters, especially Senku who is the scientist in charge of humanity.

    lab.jpg

After some research I discovered that the animation studio in charge of Dr. Stone has produced other important anime titles, such is the case of the acclaimed movie Akira or anime like D. Gray man, the also popular Hamtaro, and one of the anime with more episodes in history and still on the air Detective Conan. The studio is called TMS Entertainment and they are in charge of bringing the Dr. Stone anime to life. Currently this anime is very popular in different countries around the world, being the best presentation card of the studio.

For no one is a secret of the popularity of anime series today, that is due to the exciting and moving stories they tell, it is also popular because it addresses deep and complex issues in the case of Dr. Stone is science, the extinction of humanity and how to deal with it, among other issues such as friendship, companionship, morality and good manners. Another important factor that increased people's interest in this type of content was when the confinement due to the covid-19 pandemic began. At that time many people decided to venture into this world of series and movies coming from Japan. Dr. Stone has 3 seasons. The first season consists of 24 episodes, the second season has only 11 episodes. The anime also released an Ova which serves as a bridge to get into the third season which is currently on air. Each episode is about 20 minutes long, so you can easily watch an entire season in one day. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this series is a masterpiece, once you start watching it you won't be able to stop as each episode is captivating enough to want to know what comes next.

I don't want to say goodbye without first asking you if you have seen Dr. Stone to tell me your impressions of the series or if you know another anime that is educational, there is one that is educational in but in the art of cooking, I think that could be another post in the future hehe... I am currently very hooked with the third season, and it is difficult to have to wait week to week to know what will happen next because I have not wanted to read the story directly from the manga, I like to watch the animated version and more when the animation in each episode is impeccable, as is the case here. So hivers if you have read the manga it would not be wise to throw spoilers as the idea is to encourage new people to watch the series and enjoy the story as well as those of us who have already seen it.

I say goodbye with the hope that those who get to read this post will make the decision to watch Dr. Stone... Until next time.

  13. Dr. Stone (manga) Has Ended and I'm Having Separation Anxiety T_T [SPOILER WARNING]@tegoshei1585d

For the past four to five years, I have been reading Dr. Stone comics and last night (March 6th), the final chapter was released on the official Shonen JUMP app.
I binged read the last 10 or so chapters a few nights back and I couldn't really help myself from tearing up. It's partly because I was overwhelmed by the story, and partly because of separation anxiety. I didn't want the manga to end, yet. I wanted to know what happens in the future.

    image.png
Unfortunately for me, the end was inevitable. Although unwillingly, I read the final chapter last night and it was bittersweet.

    image.png
To those who are not familiar with this story, it's about a world where all the people were petrified or turned into a stone. They have stayed that way for thousands of years, until the main character "Senku" was able to get out from the petrification.
He's a genius high schooler and has been fascinated with Science all his life. At a very young age, he has already conducted massive experiments and has even launched a small spaceship successfully. He was supported by his father Byakuya who was also an aspiring astronaut.
His fascination towards Science made him decide to revive all the petrified people and transform the stone world into a modernized one... same with the pre-petrification times.

    image.png
His journey was crazy, chaotic and 10 billion percent interesting.
I really like the story and the characters in this manga. Maybe, it might be a special genre since they're mostly science-related, but it's also funny and heartwarming at the same time. I really recommend this manga to everyone. Who knows? You might even learn to like Science after reading this.
The anime version has two seasons so far, but a third season is expected to be released next year. The manga might have ended, but I'll surely watch and witness their journey again through the anime.
I must say, Dr. Stone is indeed one of my favorite manga(s) ever and I'd be more than willing to read it again. I hope you give it a shot, too~!

    image.png
And so there goes our dear Senku-chan officially signing off. T_T I will definitely miss you and the Science kingdom!!!
I'll end this post here. Thanks a lot for checking it out! Until next time! ^^
PS: The photos I used are screenshots I took from Shonen JUMP app...

  14. Dibujo de Senku Dr. Stone a color / Color drawing by Senku Dr. Stone (ES/EN)@jjperozo1624d

Good morning people of the communities today I wanted to share this drawing of Senku is the protagonist of the anime Dr. Stone he is the leader of the kingdom of science in the new world of stone Senku wants to build a civilization using his intellect on a journey around the world. This anime is very good I highly recommend it because it is something unique and different and I'm sure you will like it very much, this drawing took about 15 hours of work because it has enough details including background. I made it with Crayola school colors, Prismacolor and some other Prismacolor Premier colors.

To make the sketch I applied the grid method so that everything was completely proportionate and in place because the character has enough details, I did it with a mechanical pencil 0.5 thick because you can get thinner and clearer strokes.

    50e9da79_9804_4e84_a368_a91eb7f06dd8.jpg

To make the coloring I applied layers smoothly without sharpening to obtain good gradients for example in the skin, the clothes in the background, etc. You have to apply the dark tones first and then degrade them to the light ones or apply them from light to dark depending if the area we are painting is dark or light, to make the hair make thin strokes following the shape and direction of the hair, applying first the dark tones and then the light tones, making hair by hair, to give more volume as it gives more life to the drawing the bad thing is that it takes a long time to make this type of hair but the end result is worth it. For the phono I applied the colors very softly so that they mix well together and I blurred them a little with a cotton ball.

[One Piece] Toei Animation posted a graphic promoting the 1000th episode. An impressive number, the manga is also very good, I think it's the best battle-shounen ever, but ... I don't like that anime. It is too dragged, and therefore boring and too slow for me. Since I saw "Jojo's Bizzare Adventure" and "Hunter x Hunter", I haven't been able to watch such anime. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2021-09-24/toei-animation-posts-teaser-visual-for-one-piece-1000th-episode/.177758

  16. DR. STONE: NO ME IMPORTA LO QUE DIGAN, NO ES ISEKAI@melochacalie1790d

  17. Dr. Stone: Stone Wars Has Ended... It's A Start of a New Adventure!@tegoshei1916d

What's up otaku(s)~!!! It's finally the weekend and at long last, I got the guts to finish watching the second season of Dr. Stone, ***Dr. Stone: Stone Wars***... and it was 10 billion percent exhilarating~!!!

    image.png IMAGE SOURCE

The second season of Dr. Stone consists of a couple of arcs from the manga which we can collectively call *The Stone Wars Saga*. Before I give my thoughts on this season, let's travel down the previous season for a bit.
    ### A Short Recap of Season One

    image.png IMAGE SOURCE

The whole story started when the earth was supposed to end through petrification, however, a high school scientist, Senku Ishigami, got away from petrification 3715 years later and started to find ways to save humanity.
In his journey towards saving the world, a lot of things happened. A man named Tsukasa got in his way. He believed that the new world was created as a chance for them to reform it. Senku didn't like it and all these misunderstandings paved the way for Stone Wars.
Senku, created a community bound by Science while Tsukasa started reviving people who befit his purpose and made them part of his army.
Who will win this battle? Let's find out by watching Dr. Stone: Stone Wars!

    Dr. Stone: STONE WARS

    image.png IMAGE SOURCE

With eleven amazing episodes, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars showed a lot of exciting and entertaining things... from their re-inventions of modern things in the Stone World, to strategies of both parties, and a whole lot more! I thought it would be impossible to fit in everything in just 11 episodes, but they did it pretty well. Now, let's get started!
    - ### *STORY-WISE* >
I have been in love with Dr. Stone manga from the very first chapter, so having seen the story brought to life through animation is a blessing for my heart.
One of the highlights for me is their various creations. I always enjoy how they tried making anything from scratch and how these steps were depicted in the anime. I'm a bit of a Science enthusiast, so I might be a bit biased about this, but it's just so fun to watch.
Aside from these inventions, there were also really heartwarming as well as heartbreaking scenes in this season. I love all the reunions which happened in the series... Senku and his besties, Tsukasa and his sister, etc. But as I've mentioned, there were heartbreaking moments as well and they were seriously effective that I cried again even though I already know because of reading the manga. *Ugh~!*

    - ### *CHARACTERS and ART STYLE* >
When I talk about Dr. Stone with some of my friends, we often talk about the characters we like and also the art style. I personally love the art style of Dr. Stone despite them having weird and crazy expressions at time. There are even memes about it because the protagonists look very sadistic while the antagonists look very pure and kind. It's true, though... but I like it that way. XD
Also, we sometimes discuss how other people criticize the art style for the girls in Dr. Stone. Some think they're not really good and they don't look "Waifu-material"... but I think otherwise. They're all so pretty and adorable. They're also really strong, independent and empowered. <3
Anyway, the best part for me is that in this season, one of my favorite characters from the manga was brought to life.

    image.png IMAGE SOURCE

    > This, my friends, is UKYO SAIONJI. Aside from his cool appearance, I am totally in love with his personality, principles and intelligence. Although not as smart as ur boy, Senku, Ukyo is also blessed with brains. His main abilities are his super sensitive hearing and amazing archery skills.
    - ### SOUNDTRACK
    > ***Ohayou sekai... good morning world~!!!*** Oops... that was last season's opening song, but I love it to bits. But... here's the opening for the second season.
    [VIDEO SOURCE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFbfcxfREJk)

It's also freaking good!!! I can listen to it again and again. There was a part in the opening video when Gen lip-sync this song, it's really cool to watch. I can't say anything more... RIP REPPLAY BUTTON
I just love the relaxing jazzy style this opening song has. The ending song is also nice! ^^

    ---
    ### I LOVE DR. STONE FVCKIN MUCH!!!! *(End of Story)*
Sorry... This is surely a very biased review, but I just love Dr. Stone. I know it's not as popular as other anime or manga, but there wasn't a boring point for me. I believe that even if someone's not really into Science, he or she can still enjoy watching this.
Also, I'm extremely delighted that the third season has been announced! Another favorite character of mine from the manga will be brought to life and I can't wait to see him in action. I have high hopes for the third season as well.
I really hope more people would watch and fall in love with Dr. Stone! <3

***I'm hyped up to see Senku and the Kingdom of Science again soon!***
I'll end my post here. Thanks a bunch for checking it out! <3 And I hope you give Dr. Stone a chance... you won't regret it! (^^,)/

    Dr.Stone Season 2 Honest Review

Senkuu has made it his goal to bring back two million years of human achievement and revive the entirety of those turned to statues. However, one man stands in his way: Tsukasa Shishiou, who believes that only the fittest of those petrified should be revived.

    ➜ TorGuard VPN - https://bit.ly/2LBQ8wr (-50% CODE: SUGI)

As the snow melts and spring approaches, Senkuu and his allies in Ishigami Village finish the preparations for their attack on the Tsukasa Empire. With a reinvented cell phone model now at their disposal, the Kingdom of Science is ready to launch its newest scheme to recruit the sizable numbers of Tsukasa's army to their side. However, it is a race against time; for every day the Kingdom of Science spends perfecting their inventions, the empire rapidly grows in number.

Overall it was solid season, but nothing fundamentally changed and same issues existed here as they did on previous season = however if you enjoyed first season you will enjoy this one too.

  19. Dr. Stone: Science taken to anime / Dr. Stone: La ciencia llevada anime [ENG/ESP]@jandresd071992d

    English

Hello to all the community of The Anime Realm, today I bring you an anime that is currently having its second season in broadcast, so I decided today to talk about it to see how to motivate you to see it haha, and when an anime that tells us about science in a very detailed but also very simple way and shows us how they are and how things so common for us (like a light bulb, gunpowder or steel) deserve to have a review, I'm talking about nothing more and nothing less than Dr. Stone.

    Dr._Stone__Poster.jpg Source

Dr. Stone manga is written by Riichiro Inagaki and drawn by Boichi; currently it is still in issue and has already 19 volumes, being published since 2017 in the renowned Shōnen Jump (yes, guys, this manga has shared pages with Boku no Hero Academia and One Piece). Its anime adaptation came from the hand of the studio TMS Entertainment and had 24 episodes for its first season; it also had the bands Burnout Syndromes and Pelican Fanclub for its openings (each with a very particular style but both very good) and with the endings of Rude-α and Saeki YouthK. Its second season (which will adapt the arc of Stone Wars) as I said before is currently in broadcast and already has 2 episodes and has an opening more than worthy for this anime (Rakuen of the band Fujifabric).

This anime first introduces us to Senku Ishigami, an extremely intelligent young man and his friend Taiju Oki (both high school students), just when we see how Taiju gathers courage to declare his love to Yuzuriha Ogawa (childhood friend of Senku and Taiju) we see how a big green ray appears and all human beings are turned into stone. We see how the years go by and nature recovers spaces while humanity remains petrified, after 3700 years Senku manages to wake up (staying conscious all this time thanks to the fact that he decided to count the seconds that passed since his petrification); we will see how Senku will face this new primitive world and how he will bring the kingdom of science to this era again as well as the possible enemies he may find in this world of stone.

    segundatemporadadeDr.StoneSenkudestacadaElPalomitrón.jpg Source

The main attraction of this anime is not only its great animation (and with a rather peculiar style of drawing in terms of characters) but the unique approach that this story has; its relationship with science and that desire to explain everything that for us is so simple but has required millions of years of knowledge and experiments to be achieved, so seeing Senku do things that for the time in which it is and the tools with which it has seem impossible makes this anime has something special.

    dr_stoneestrenarxsegundatemporada.jpg_423682103.jpg Source

I've always been a fan of science and seeing how this is brought to an anime (and they try to give the explanations in the most realistic way possible) makes me like this anime a lot (I watched the whole first season in one day haha) plus it's not that typical Shōnen full of battles but it has a different approach to this (although if we will have some battles don't worry, also its second season is called Stone Wars so you can imagine what's coming haha) and seriously I hope that if you haven't seen it you give a chance to this original work, if you have already seen it please leave me your opinion in the comments and I'll see you another time.

    SeconfirmadoblajeenespanolparaDr.Stone.jpg Source

  20. # Dr. Stone, from science to anime (ENG) (ESP)@snader2056d

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EBMd8lOXoAE1J9n.jpg:large

Dr. stone is a manga and anime written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by the great teacher Boichi, Dr Stone tells us the story of Senkuu a young student who, although he is not the most strong nor the most skillful makes up for everything lacking with an incredible intellect. Dr. Stone is a special anime in every way, because most of the experiments that Senku performs are real. Now let's analyze the anime from its perspective, its history and its scientific knowledge.

History: Dr. Stone tells the story of senku and the civilization after a strange green light turned everyone to stone. The years pass and the earth changes, the great civilizations disappear and everything becomes forest again, every hint of technology disappears, however senku keeps his sanity and his mind busy counting the seconds, after 3700 years he wakes up and begins his hard work, builds shelter and advance a little, however he needs help and with his ingenuity he manages to wake up Taijuu, his best friend who is the muscle and together they will begin their adventure in the new world, a world of stone.

Villain and anime realities: In the anime we have the first villain whose name is Tsukasa, a young man who dedicated his life to being the strongest, is revived when Senku and Taiju were in serious danger, he is an incredibly strong person but has his own ideals, while Senku wants to turn the wheel of civilization and save everyone Tsukasa has the idea of only reviving the young pure of heart, an excellent villain since he is not only strong, he is also intelligent. Now let's talk about reality and anime, Tsukasa has a very certain idea because he says that by reviving everyone at the beginning they will be grateful but over time they will say: That is my land, pay taxes and the bad actions of unscrupulous people will begin and He is absolutely right in the world, in the world there are not only good people, there are also misers and others, That way of thinking makes the villain to a certain degree right, and makes you doubt that it is the right thing and that it is not, But let's talk about the anime experiments: Throughout the anime there are many things that are created to move forward, it is necessary for me to say this, All those things are real !!, The anime has the good grace to explain each aspect and each parameter of his experiments, such as the formula of the gunpowder or the development of wine, it is incredibly useful and pleasant to see the development of science in anime and learn from it, it is simply wonderful.

Conclusion: The anime is incredibly fun because it is not only very educational, it also has a lot of comedy and action without becoming tiring, the story is very well developed and argued, the real data they teach can be very impressive and not only does it have that, it also has very well developed characters that fulfill a specific function and do it perfectly, simply a 10,000 point anime. And his art is incredibly beautiful, all drawn by Boichi himself, if you want to see a different anime, Dr. Stone is your anime.

If you liked it, leave me a Like and follow me, it would help me a lot, thanks for reading this post and I hope you enjoy the anime.

    (ESPAÑOL)

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EBMd8lOXoAE1J9n.jpg:large

  21. Dr. Stone Anime Review - Let's Rebuild The World@reviewzzz2142d

TMS Entertainment seems to have kept us entertained and presented great anime throughout the years. After the hit anime, Conan, we see Dr.stone TMS Entertainment Which confirmed to us the studio's genius in presenting and filming the wonderful anime to compete strongly on the stage of the anime series, even throughout the history of the anime series. Why is the anime ranked among the best in 2019? Why is there all the hype? So I will leave you with a great review and hope you like it.

    The story

What will happen if human civilization is destroyed and destroyed and nothing remains to imagine with me. Technology has disappeared. Rather, world landmarks have almost disappeared strangely. After hundreds of years, a young student named Aoki Taigo came to the rescue, who found that he was in a strange world of strange statues and shapes, so he decided To roll up his sleeves and with the help of his friend Senku, he will try to build a world civilization anew! Yes, the story is interesting and fun, as how the Taliban will be able to use science to save the world. This is the essence of the wonderful story. You may have in mind that this story is repeated in many series, but what is distinctive here is that humanity did not end up in the usual form that took place in all series. Rather, humans have turned into statues of stones and our hero will have to save them and promise their souls to life again. The controversy will also revolve throughout the series about the cause of this terrible disaster and why humans have turned into stone statues. You will find yourself in the beginning in some mystery. And you wonder with them, but the events will become clear to you over time. The series tells a distinctly and interestingly familiar story and the events and confrontations in the series were wonderful and reflect the genius of the director and the writer of the novel.

    image.png

    Characters

We come here to characters who are no less good than the story, so the feature of the series here is that most of the characters are central and have an influential role in the story and the plot. Where each character appeared at its time and had its own charisma, for example we have Senku who is not considered the hero in the story, but his role is no less important in a science-loving lobby He always talks about it and tries to explain everything on a clear scientific basis, whether in the old world and the reasons for its collapse or in the journey of building the new world. The clash between the characters added a special flavor to the series, as you will find yourself at a loss like them. Do all humans deserve to return to life again? So what if those we brought back were people who caused accidents and ruined the world? You will find yourself wondering with them, and you will be overcome by emotion at times, and logic will prevail at other times? Also, the dialogues between the characters were very strong and had a distinctive and good performance, as well as in the voice embodiment or in the movements.

    image.png

    Graphics and audio

The great work was completed by TMS Entertainment by adding excellent high-quality graphics and the studio focused on the smallest details. From facial expressions to petrified statues as well as designing an environment where the world has been devastated. Even in the somewhat boring dialogues when talking about science, chemistry, etc., the studio provided us with distinctive anime moves that make you not get bored at all. As if you are watching every moment very carefully and waiting for what will happen next, as the series will make you not close your eyes. The music will make you merge with the series in all its scenes, as it added enthusiasm at some times, while at others it was calm in proportion to the scene.

In the end, I liked the series a lot and made a more than excellent impression on it. If you do not watch it, I strongly recommend you watch it. And if you saw it, I hope to listen to your opinion in the comments. Were I exaggerated or fair?

  24. Dr. Stone - A Story of Science Vs. Might@dlstudios2398d

    image.png

It's pretty rare for a show coming out to really live up to the hype. If you followed my reviews of anime before this, you'll already know I was one of the most critical people about Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan was one of the biggest shows fora while and I could never really get behind that one, and I absolutely hated That Time I was Reincarnated as a Slime. So while Dr. Stone I didn't see a lot of people talking about it, the people who did watch it seriously seemed to love it, and it feels kind of good to see a show live up to all that hype.

The main character of our story is Senku, who seems to be the only person to have awakened after a mysterious event causes the entire world to become petrified. However he awakens 3,700 years later, so all the technology of the world is effectively gone, and all the civilizations turned to rubble and have disappeared with the flow of time entirely. He now works tirelessly to try and find a way to undo the petrification of everyone, while having to use his knowledge of the science to rebuild civilization in order to survive.

The story really kicks off not only when his friend Taiju wakes up, and Senku discovers the formula needed for reviving the petrified. However, when attacked by wild animals, they are forced to revive Tsukasa, someone Taiju recognized as a powerful warrior who would be able to help them survive. Turns out that Tsukasa kind of hates the old world and the people who ran it, and wants to prevent science from ever taking off, with the exception of the revival formula he is going to use to bring back only the youth, and to never allow science to become a thing again.

    image.png

The entire season is focused on Senku trying to establish a 'Kingdom of Science' to fight against Tsukasa's' Empire of Might', and he does so by working with a group of primitive villagers (Well, primitive by the standards he's used to)and try to defeat Tsukasa who is the only one near the source of the Nitric Acid needed to create the formula. The show's theme is the shear power of Tsukasa and the army he is reviving being matched up against Senku and his expanding the current era's scientific power.

I don't want anyone to go into this show thinking they will see the final showdown because that won't'come until season two. This season is largely just establishing the creation of the Kingdom of Science. You have a growing interest in how this group of villagers is even here, as they didn't seem to be revived from petrification, yet have no knowledge of a world before it happened, or even that the statues of people they see every where are actually, people. They are of mixed ethnic backgrounds despite all being in Japan, they seem to have knowledge of certain animals not native to the area, and a lot of other things that just don't seem to fit together.

Where the show really shines is how much I love the characters. Despite being way out of everyone's league mentally speaking, Senku clearly realizes how much help he will actually need as he is nowhere near a physical specimen that you would need to be to create much of anything in this world, especially when he is faced off against Tsukasa. And while the show focus's mostly on him, it's amazing how well he meshes with the variety of different people in this time, even though at first you'd think they would have so little in common.

    image.png

There are his two friends from before the world petrified whose relationship feels very genuine, him and Tsukasa don't even seem to hate each other or hold any animosity towards the other in the slightest, which is quite interesting. It really does just come down to their own ideological views of how things should be, and there really is no way to reconcile the difference, violent confrontation really does feel like the only way these two could possibly end. I'd go on, but there are a lot of villagers that become important to the story, but no matter the sizeof the cast, the show does a fantastic job at making each and every relationship you see feels real.

Furthermore, I love how fallible Senku comes across in this show. A lot of times in shows like this the lead character just feels so far beyond everyone else, and considering the shows overall premise of how wonderful science is, they really could have copped out and do just that with Senku. For example, what he has when he first wakes up Tsukasa isn't nearly enough to stop him then and there. Even as time goes on, the growing empire of Tsukasa feels like it is going to be far more then Senku can readily handle despite the growing science of the village. Senku is often forced to rely on his allies to not only do what he cannot in terms of manual labor and detailed craftsmanship but to get him out of situations he ends up in by him slipping up or not noticing something he should have earlier.

He is still definitely the 'Strongest'in the show, at least in relation to how vital he is to the coming victory, but I like that everyone feels like they need to be therefor all of this to come together. It not only shows the value and power of science, but that you need a lot more than just that to come out on top. It's been a while since I have seen a show like this that doesn't seem to actively fight against its own themes. Shows like YuYu Hackisho, which I still love to this day, made a huge deal out of human spirit energy, only to completely undercut themselves in the last season or even Naruto trying to showcase that hard work is the key factor while giving Naruto every possible advantage under the sun to make him stand out (Two powerful bloodlines, trained by the strongest Ninja's in the land, the reserve energy of a giant demonic fox), but here they do a fantastic job of blending together both science and hard physical work without ever feeling like one wasn't important.

    image.png

And while this is still an anime and corners are cut for pacing issues (And possibly being able to do things that they simply shouldn't be able to do with their current tech) I love how closely the logic of the show falls in line with how the science actually works in the real world. In addition to having just a fantastic story and wonderful characters, it actually makes the science behind everything they are doing interesting and fascinating, which is largely tied to it's importance and relevance to the story.

There is one big complaint I do have, however, and that is the show's tendency of just kind of having them stumble across the things they may need, or how much coincidence plays a role. For example how close Tsukasa was when they were attacked by wild animals, or how close to a village then ended up being, conveniently located mineral deposits, and other such things. It's not nearly enough to kill the show, but it's pretty easy to notice and can feel a bit lazy at times.

There are also a few issues I take with the origins of the village, though I can't get into details without spoiling it. All I will say that the issue there is similar to the complaint I have about how coincidental everything in the show is.That said it inevitably leads to what may be one of the most touching moments in anime this entire year and caused me to rate this show higher on my year-end list than I originally thought it was going to be. Because of that, I can't really hate on it all that much, despite being a bit of a problem for me. The payoff was worth it.

    image.png

Dr. Stone is one of the best shows out this year. It has a very unique premise, some fantastic characters, and manages to keep high tensions throughout even though any actual fighting is pretty minimal. This is a show that is definitely worth checking out.
