Productions where human clones are an important part of the plot are very common to see from time to time. This film isn't too original or innovative but that doesn't prevent it from being worth watching.
One of the things I wasn't expecting to watch, were some dialogues that were meant to be funny but in a very subtle way that I absolutely loved. The film has its sense of humor and the use of tragicomedy was very well-done and made it a memorable watching experience for me.
There isn't a lot of tension throughout the film, even though we know there will be a duel to death between a woman and her clone. I won't get into the reasons why this duel needs to take place, but they are all part of the permanent bad luck the main character is always experiencing. Even though her life gets very complicated, she doesn't seem to have any emotion and sometimes it felt as if she was some type of android, which was a bit weird but also cool to watch.
In short words, the film is about how life finds new ways to mess with this poor woman as if the universe was constantly having fun at her expense. I have to say I had a good time watching this movie, and it was even better than I expected.
Las producciones donde los clones humanos son una parte importante de la trama, son muy comunes de ver de vez en cuando. En ese sentido, esta película no es demasiado original o innovadora, pero eso no impide que valga la pena verla.
Una de las cosas que no esperaba ver eran algunos diálogos que pretendían ser divertidos pero de una manera muy sutil que me encantó. La película tiene su sentido del humor y el uso de la tragicomedia estuvo muy bien hecho y la convirtió en una experiencia visual memorable para mí.
No hay mucha tensión a lo largo de la película, aunque sabemos que habrá un duelo a muerte entre una mujer y su clon. No entraré en las razones por las que este duelo debe darse, pero todas son parte de la permanente mala suerte que siempre experimenta la protagonista. A pesar de que su vida se vuelve muy complicada, no parece tener ninguna emoción y, a veces, se siente como si fuera una especie de androide, lo cual fue un poco extraño pero también genial de ver.
En pocas palabras, la película trata sobre cómo la vida encuentra nuevas formas de meterse con esta pobre mujer como si el universo estuviera constantemente divirtiéndose a costa de ella. Tengo que decir que la pasé bien viendo esta película, y fue incluso mejor de lo que esperaba.

Pues hoy te presento una película llamada Dual en la que nos centraremos en la historia de Sarah interpretada por Karen Gillan, la historia se basa en una extraña organización futurista en la que se encarga de clonar a las personas con el fin de enseñarles todo lo que sabe de sus vidas, ya que la única forma de tener un clon es cuando alguien va a morir, ya sea por una enfermedad terminal o por un accidente siempre y cuando la persona sepa que va a morir.
Sarah pasará por una serie de problemas en la que deberá entrenar duramente para poder remediar los errores que ha cometido en su vida, intenta cambiar y ser una mejor persona para su novio y su madre, pero por extrañas razones no podrá hacerlo como ella quiere.

Sarah will go through a series of problems in which she will have to train hard to remedy the mistakes she has made in her life, she tries to change and be a better person for her boyfriend and her mother, but for strange reasons she will not be able to do it as she wants.

La idea de los clones es para que sus familiares no sufran con la perdida de su pariente, ya que, en esta película, las personas que saben que van a morir no le cuentan absolutamente nada a sus familiares para que no sufran, por ende, este crea su propio clon para enseñarle todo lo que sabe para qué una vez que la persona muera el clon tome posesión de su vida como si nada hubiera pasado.
Pero lo que no saben es que en las letras pequeñas de un contrato, existe una regla que hace que si la persona no muere, deberán de pasar por una dura prueba para que uno de los dos quede con vida, en el mundo de esta película no puede haber dos personas iguales.

Sarah tiene un grabe problema con su vida, es una mujer alcohólica, no le va bien con su relación y por extrañas razones se aleja de su madre, esta parte de la historia me parece extraña debido a que su madre se ve tan dulce y gentil que es imposible pensar algo malo de ella, pero como caras vemos y corazones no sabemos, en sí no podremos detectar si esta señora ha hecho algo malo en la vida de Sarah.
La vida amorosa de Sarah es un caos, su novio es un hombre llamado Peter, el cual siempre está en viajes de negocios y nunca está al lado de ella, por lo que a Sarah le hace falta mucho a su novio porque ya estaban en la etapa de vivir juntos, pero otra de las cosas que me parece sospechosa de este hombre es que en realidad nunca la quiso, por razones que veremos en el proceder de la historia de este film.

Sarah's love life is a chaos, her boyfriend is a man named Peter, who is always on business trips and is never by her side, so Sarah misses her boyfriend a lot because they were already at the stage of living together, but another thing that seems suspicious to me about this man is that he never really loved her, for reasons that we will see in the proceeding of the story of this film.
Esta película entra en los géneros de ciencia ficción, suspenso, comedia y drama.
Típico de todas las películas con el género de drama que he visto, quedaremos con muchas dudas para saber que es lo que paso en realidad bajo todos los problemas que Sarah ha tenido con su clon, por lo que son tan idénticas que no sabremos quién es quien.
Es un poco complicada la historia luego de ir a la mitad de la película, por lo que debemos prestar mucha atención a los detalles pequeños.
This movie falls into the genres of science fiction, suspense, comedy and drama.
Typical of all the movies with the drama genre that I have seen, we will be left with many doubts to know what really happened under all the problems that Sarah has had with her clone, so they are so identical that we will not know who is who.
The story is a bit complicated after halfway through the movie, so we must pay close attention to the small details.
De verdad que admiro mucho la fortaleza mental que Sarah tiene debido a los problemas entre su clon, pareja y madre que esta presentando, ya que por culpa de su clon la toman como si nunca hubiera existido, esto se debe a que su clon es mucho mejor que ella misma, pero es porque no ha vivido las mismas situaciones que la original.
Esto me parece muy interesante, la Serah original ha vivido todas las malas experiencia con su familia, por lo que su clon no, por ese motivo su clon no sabe a lo que se está enfrentando, pero seamos honestos, nadie quiere que haya una clon por las calles haciéndose pasar por nosotros.

I really admire the mental strength that Sarah has due to the problems between her clone, partner and mother that she is presenting, since because of her clone she is taken as if she never existed, this is because her clone is much better than herself, but it is because she has not lived the same situations as the original.
I find this very interesting, the original Serah has lived through all the bad experiences with her family, so her clone hasn't, for that reason her clone doesn't know what she is facing, but let's be honest, no one wants a clone on the streets pretending to be us.

I swear I thought this movie was at least 5 years old, the feeling of having seen it before was too strong to ignore it, and it turns out it's not, it's from this year, I realized it when I saw the date on the trailer and my dismay was too much. I didn't know what it was about, the beginning was very weird, so I was trying to conclude, but it didn't take me long, they explain very quickly what happens, and what I thought could be a very good plot, ended up being something completely meh.
Sarah one day wakes up and feels she is going to die, she goes to the doctor, indeed she is dying, she has a terminal illness and has no chance to recover. In this world there is cloning, an option that people can take when they are dying, or in other cases, when they want to commit suicide, and all just so that the clone can take over your life once you die, reducing the pain and suffering of your family and friends, who will have a version of you still in the world that they will love more than you. Sarah magically recovers, she is no longer going to die, so she decides to begin the process to remove her clone from the world, but her clone decides that she wants to stay in the world, so a jury decides that they must face each other in a duel to the death to decide which Sarah stays in the world because both cannot exist at the same time.
Juro que pensé que esta película tenía al menos más de 5 años de haberse estrenado, la sensación de haberla visto antes era muy fuerte como para ignorarla, y pues resulta que no, que es de este año, me di cuenta al ver la fecha del trailer y mi consternación fue demasiada. No sabía de que era, el principio fue muy raro, así que estaba tratando de sacar conclusiones, pero no me tomó mucho tiempo, explican muy rápido lo que sucede, y lo que creí que podía ser una muy buena trama, terminó siendo algo completamente meh.
Sarah un día despierta y siente que se va a morir, va al médico, efectivamente se está muriendo, tiene una enfermedad terminal y no tiene oportunidad de recuperarse. En este mundo existe la clonación, opción a la que las personas pueden tomar cuando se están muriendo, o en otros casos, cuando quieren cometer suicidio, y todo solo para que el clon se apodere de tu vida una vez mueras, disminuyendo el dolor y el sufrimiento de tus familiares y amigos, quiene tendrán a una versión de ti todavía en el mundo a la cual van a querer más que a ti. Sarah se recupera magicamente, ya no se va a morir, entonces decide comenzar el proceso para retirar a su clon del mundo, pero su clon decide que se quiere quedar en el mundo, entonces un jurado decide que deben enfrentarse en un duelo a muerte para decidir cuál Sarah se queda en el mundo, pues las dos no pueden existir a la vez.
The premise of the movie is unbelievable, I realize after watching the movie, because the movie itself is not good at all, well, it's not that it's not good, it's just that it's very boring, slow, and it feels like we are in a comatose state, waking up from eternal sleep and the only thing we want to do is go back to sleep because the prospect of waking up is not pleasant at all. Many times I thought that sleep was going to overcome me and make me sleep deeply, but it was not like that, something strange, because I was very sleepy, and as I had already taken the sleeping pills I thought I would fall asleep without realizing it.
The movie is slow, gray, boring, with a dreadful pace, because it does not know what we are watching if it is a tutorial to learn how to kill someone as quickly and efficiently as possible if it is the internal philosophical struggle to know who we are and what makes us what we are, or if it is a diatribe on why cloning should not be a reality. After all, if it becomes a reality, why can't the original person and his clone exist at the same time? There's too much to explore in this movie, but the way it's made makes it all more tedious than it already is.
La premisa de la película es increíble, me doy cuenta después de ver la película, porque la película en sí no es nada buena, bueno, no es que no sea buena, es que es muy aburrida, lenta, y se siente como si estuviéramos en un estado comatoso, despertando de un sueño eterno y lo único que queremos hacer es volver a dormirnos porque el panorama de despertarnos no es nada agradable. Muchas veces pensé que el sueño me iba a vencer y me haría dormir profundamente, pero no fue así, algo raro, porque tenía mucho sueño, y como ya me había tomado las pastillas para dormir creía que me dormiría sin darme cuenta.
La película es lenta, gris, aburrida, con un ritmo espantoso, pues no sabe qué estamos viendo, si es un tutorial para aprender a matar a alguien lo más rápido y eficientemente posible, si es la lucha filosófica interna por saber quiénes somos y qué nos hace ser lo que somos, o si es una diatriba de por qué la clonación no debería ser una realidad, pues si lo llega a ser, ¿por qué no pueden existir la persona original y su clon a la vez? Hay demasiado que explorar en esta película, pero la forma en que está hecha hace que todo sea más aburrido y tedioso de lo que ya es.

Karen Gillan is a weird actress, and I don't mean that in a bad way, because there is another movie that has to do with a mirror where she acts and the movie is good, but she is just as weird in the movie, as well as here, her characters seem robotic, or maybe it's her facial expressions, but there is something that doesn't quite fit with her, I still don't see a movie where her acting looks as natural as possible, although that doesn't mean I don't like her acting, just that it is very disconcerting, and that is weird, because she doesn't act badly, but it's still weird.
Esta película tienes cosas muy buenas, malditas, pero cosas buenas al final. Hay una cosa muy cierta que trata la película y es que las personas a nuestro al rededor muchas veces preferirían tener a otra versión de nosotros en la vida real, cosa que le pasa a Sarah, su clon llega a ser amado por todo el mundo, diciendo que es una mejor Sarah de lo que ella llegó a ser en la vida, y cuando se enteran de que ya no se está muriendo todo sigue igual, ella marginada de su vida, vida que le robó su clon, y que solo puede solucionarse con un duelo a muerte para cuál de las dos queda con vida y se convierte en la Sarah oficial.
Karen Gillan es una actriz rara, y no lo digo en mal sentido, pues hay otra película que tiene ver con un espejo donde actúa ella y la película es buena, pero ella es igual de rara en la película, así como aquí, sus personajes parecen robóticos, o quizás sean sus expresiones faciales, pero hay algo que no termina de encajar con ella, todavía no veo una película donde su forma actuar se vea de lo más natural posible, aunque eso no significa que no me guste cómo actua, solo que desconcierta mucho, y eso es raro, porque mal no actúa, pero igual es raro.
The trailer is good, it says almost everything I told you here, it's understandable, it doesn't confuse, and the best thing is that it doesn't tell the whole movie like the trailers are used to doing now. It's a trailer that does make you want to see the movie, no matter that the movie ends up being something weird that bores but still manages to keep our interest long enough for the movie to end.
El trailer es bueno, dice casi todo lo que les dije aquí, se entiende, no confunde, y lo mejor es que no cuenta toda la película como ahora tienen la costumbre de hacer los trailers. Es un trailer que sí hace que uno quiera ver la película, sin importar que la película termine siendo algo raro que aburre pero aún así logra mantener nuestro interes el tiempo suficiente como para que termine la película.
