  1. Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01 [1987]: A Long Name For A Timeless Masterpiece@chris-chris92421d

Some works grab me without asking. Metal Skin Panic MADOX-01 is one of those rare gems that, in just forty minutes, made me nostalgic for something I never lived. Its pace is wild, like an engine roaring when it’s already too late to stop. Everything moves fast, yet there’s softness hidden between the gears.

The story sounds simple: a combat suit, an accidental pilot, a city caught in the chaos of military decisions. But what disarmed me was how each frame breathes urgency without falling into noise. The gray streets, saturated skies, bodies trapped in a mechanical waltz. Nothing feels random, everything burns with intent.

The mecha design is glorious. Brutal and beautiful. Every joint has texture, life, sweat. Knowing this was animated in 1986 gives me chills. Hand-drawn frames with surgical precision. There are explosions more convincing than many made with computers. We praise them now, but back then, it was blood, time, patience.

It’s not perfect, and that’s what makes it lovable. The music comes in exactly where it should, without stealing space. The characters aren’t deep, but never flat. There’s a kind of hidden romance—between asphalt and gunfire—that made me look twice. Maybe because I believe metal can feel. Or that love survives noise.

I’d watch it again without a doubt. Because not everything I enjoy needs to be hours long or have a clean ending. Sometimes all it takes is one bold idea, told at the right moment, hitting with precision. MADOX-01 does just that. I finished with a lump in my throat, and a smile. Few things manage both.

  2. Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu: The Funniest Anime I've Ever Seen@pannavi845d

    𝙵𝚞𝚕𝚕 𝙼𝚎𝚝𝚊𝚕 𝙿𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚌? 𝙵𝚞𝚖𝚘𝚏𝚏𝚞

Me encantaría leerte. ¡Hasta una próxima publicación! ¡Saludos!

Greetings Animé Fan of #TheAnimeRealm. Today I want to tell you a little about one of the funniest and funniest anime I've ever seen. It's about Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu. Remember that my posts do not contain spoilers, so you can read them easily.

    **Origin**

Yesterday I had the opportunity to watch this complete series, and it is 𝙵𝚞𝚞𝚕𝚕𝚕 𝙼𝚎𝚝𝚊𝚕 𝙿𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚌? 𝙵𝚞𝚖𝚘𝚏𝚏𝚏𝚞 is a spin-off of the series with the same name (omitting Fumoffu), consisting of 4 seasons, which began airing in 2002. However, this spin-off premiered in 2003 pending the second season.

Yes, I said the second season. And it's because Fumoffu is considered filler in the official series, that is, it's not related to any manga, but the series as such is so well done and so over-the-top funny that I for one recommend watching the whole series in general, including the filler episodes.

    **Origin**

This series is characterized by being of Mecha genre in general theme but during this Spin-Off we do not see any giant robot, except for a modified stuffed animal. As for the plot, it features schoolboy characters, approximately 16 years old (which for the protagonist's purposes), already have military experience from an early age.

The mission throughout the series, is to protect Chidori, as she is considered someone of high military value for possessing advanced scientific knowledge in her memory. I know, it's crazy but that's how much fun the series is. The contrast between the other seasons and the Spin-Off I'm talking about today, is quite big.

    **Origin**

The official seasons are filled with a lot of drama, action, and small touches of romance (mostly from Chidori towards Sagara). And Chidori is a hopeless romantic (as I was in my teenage years) where she lets her imagination run wild creating romantic situations with the main character. While Sagara only thinks about protecting Chidori, Chidori knows absolutely nothing about her feelings towards him.

In fact, he is a soldier from head to toe, he has nothing else to think about (like a normal person) other than issues related to war, weapons, and his mission. And this is what makes Sagara interesting, he is a teenager who is not interested in women, not because he doesn't like women but because he doesn't know how to relate to them, and not being his forte he focuses on what he does know how to do, being a soldier.

    **Origin**

However in certain moments and situations in the series (not just the Spin-Off), Sagara shows some level of affection towards Chidori without knowing how he feels about her. And this is one of the things I liked most about the series itself. The evolution of the characters throughout the story and how their relationship grows little by little, with small gestures between the two starting with a nice friendship based on pure trust.

This is also a bit more noticeable in Fumoffu, Chidori is made for Sagara and the chemistry between the two is special. I find it funny how Chidori has to go to extremes with Sagara to put him in his place and make him come to his senses. Also, the series in this Spin-Off places more weight on filler characters than the main characters.

    **Origin**

Fumoffu has 12 episodes in total, all very good, even some episodes are even divided into two parts, so you could add that it tells more than twelve stories in its chapters. My favorite is episode 1 and 4, ok all of them in general hahaha each one has something special that made me laugh a lot, but these two specifically made me laugh out loud.

My favorite character in this Spin-Off is the cop, for me, he was the funniest and gave a hilarious touch to the series. He is an unexpected, impulsive, and obsessive character. Of course Chidori and Sagara I love them too, as well as their friends. But what I want to tell you with this post is that the series is just as good and even funnier than Family X Spy.

    104235.jpg Origin

Tessa (the white-haired girl) is also a character I love, she just like Chidori has strong feelings towards Sagara and the scenes that show them fighting for his attention are very funny. From my point of view, this Spin-Off will get a smile out of you and even at least a laugh at some point. That's for sure.

I had a lot of fun watching each episode again. And I will finish watching the whole series since I only watched it until the season after Fumoffu back then. It's just now that I'm finding out that the series continued until 2018 under the name Full Metal Panic!: Invisible Victory. It was the last season that came out.

    **Origin**

This series on a general level is very well done. And although I'm not a fan or follower of anime series in the Mecha genre, Full Metal Panic! is special and one of the best I've seen after Evangelion (another series I want to watch again). If you have a chance to give it a chance, you won't regret it. Besides, the drawings have a very nice detail style, for being from that time.

I recommend you to watch the whole Full Metal Panic! series, but especially Fumoffu. It's super fun, funny, and very good with simple but exaggerated situations that cause a lot of laughter. From my side, it has and will have 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 of 5 Little Golden Stars, not only for Fumoffu but for the whole series in general. Of course for my part, it is super recommended.

Thanks for making it to the end of my post. Let me know what you think about it in a comment. I'd love to read it. See you in my next post! Cheers!

    FMP4 oku ENG.jpg

The last two seasons are so outstanding that it is worth trying to attract new fans to this anime, so I decided to write this summary of all episodes. When about a year ago, I made a bet with my friend and proofreader Karol that I would watch the entire FMP, if he watched "Dark" from Netflix, I did not expect that I would be so delighted. Although we sometimes have similar opinions, we have quite different tastes and often pay attention to different things. In short - the titles that delight me are often meh or "well, quite good, but I didn't like it that much". For this reason, I doubted I would be as delighted as he was, but luckily I was wrong. The first season was very good, the second a bit worse, but I enjoyed it a lot. The third was almost exemplary, and the 4 literally blew me away. Each episode was like a punch to the face, from the first minute to the last. His only drawback is that the anime is very slow to write ... Eh, for the first time in a long time, I regret that the Japanese are not able to create a season faster, as the Americans do with their series. I realize that it takes a long time to draw and animate a dozen episodes (4-6 months, if I'm not mistaken), but I don't believe they wouldn't be able to do one season, e.g. every 3 years. Well, unfortunately we have no influence on that.

    FMP1.jpg

    FMP2.jpg

A brief summary of the plot and a presentation of geopolitics in this universe. The world looks more or less like ours - we have two dominant forces (Americans, Russians), strong countries, but with a clearly weaker power (although they still count on the international arena, such as France). Behind them are Mithril and Amalgam, two organizations operating independently of global politics, with a great deal of freedom to act, but both too weak to win against a country or be fully independent of them. Especially Mithril, because the latter are terrorists, so they are not subject to stronger powers. Mithril are the good ones - the group that has the best submarine in the world (which has great firepower, and at the same time is a gigantic, mobile HUB for their soldiers, allowing for a relatively quick response in any part of the world). Such a sheriff in our world, kind of like the US for the last few decades, only much weaker. Amalgam is the bad guys, a terrorist organization with a dispersed structure with no hierarchical chain of command. They are similar to ISIS - there are dozens of groups that sometimes have coherent interests. On their own, they are much weaker than Mithril, but if they coordinate their actions, they pose a great threat to all countries and organizations in the world. However, they are more difficult to defeat due to their unusual structure, the main commanders and centers of power do not exist and are scattered all over the world. In a standard situation, it is enough to simply destroy the head, and the rest will be easier (I am deliberately simplifying), here you do not know what to expect. Besides, they have the same technology and in some respects they are even better equipped than the Mithril.

    FMP3.jpg

    FMP4.jpg

The main difference between our world and the one in FMP is that they have mechs (known here as Arm Slaves). It is a technology that suddenly appeared in our world, and with it the people called Whispered in this world. In short, these are people who were born thanks to the experiments of the Soviets. These are people with encoded extraordinary knowledge that manifests itself in various forms - psionic powers, the ability to create technologies that drastically exceed their learning capabilities. One of the Whispered is Chidori Kaname, a regular Japanese high school student. After Mithril found out about her abilities, he assigned her bodyguard - Sagara Sousuke. He is a war orphan, a man who has participated in hostilities since childhood. He comes from a country that can be compared to Afghanistan or Pakistan. He is an exceptionally gifted soldier with above-average skills. The initial friendship between these two turns into love. Crisis situations bring them closer together and gradually cement the relationship. And there are many of these, because as it is easy to deduce from what I wrote, Chidori is the object of interest of many organizations and countries that want to use it for their own purposes.

    FMP5.jpg

As I have mentioned many times, this is an anime focused on the subject of war with the use of giant robots. It has some typical elements for Japanese comics (a bit more than "Mobile Suit Gundam" or "Legend of the Galactic Heroes"), but few enough that they shouldn't be disturbing for people who don't really like Japanese animation. And even if it is, it is worth surviving the first season (the second one can be ignored, it does not have such a big impact on the plot, and its comedy atmosphere of spice of life may scare you away), because the third and fourth season are already at such a high level that it is difficult to pass around them indifferently. If I had to place this anime in my ranking, I would put it in the top 3 of the best war titles, next to the above-mentioned titles (although this may change, because when you read these words, I finally watch "Kingdom" - supposedly a sensational historical manga, but set in completely different times). As I wrote, unlike the two above-mentioned titles, you can immediately see from FMP that this is anime, but it's worth giving it a chance. Even if you are put off by the style, cringe jokes etc. in my opinion their number is acceptable (similar to action movies). When necessary, it is serious + there are many elements that fans of war climates will notice. This is also compensated by the excellent directing of each episode - aside from the short moments to catch your breath, each episode is stuffed from A to Z great action, a very good story with a perfectly balanced amount of content to absorb and a strong cliff hanger at the end of each episode. A great story-telling that is not often seen and well ... You can see the difference in level between the titles created on the basis of a good book (there was no other type of medium than manga - with some limitations to comics, but superior in other aspects) , additionally with the active author of the prototype, and a regular manga. Don't get me wrong, it's not about elitism, it just seems to me (and correct me if I'm wrong) that anime based on books is a bit of a higher level? There aren't enough of them to compare with those based solely on comics, but I think so. Though it might as well be misjudgment and sheer rubbish. Besides, speaking of the author, he has created many solidly created heroes.

The characters, both positive and negative, are a big advantage of this anime. Chidori and Sagara may not be very original, but their relationship is different. In fact, it's pretty standard for most anime initially, but it gets better and better with each season. Especially in 4, where I finally felt that their plot was very well guided, like in cartoons intended for older viewers or series. When it comes to originality, don't get me wrong - the fact is, they don't differ much from most of the characters we know, but I could say the same about Geralt from "Witcher". The fact that they do not stand out from the others is not a disadvantage, especially when they have some features that slightly distinguish them + are, above all, consistently written. And Chidori, Sagara and Geralt stand out in both ways. Teletha Testarossa is also cool - the captain of this super submarine. Initially, I thought she was a regular lolita who, for reasons not specified, has such a high rank, but gains with each season, like the Sousuke x Chidori relationship. Her activity in season 3, especially season 4 (especially this episode, which was almost entirely devoted to her) gives a huge pay-off, and we can see how much appearances can be deceptive.

    FMP7.jpg

    FMP6.jpg

Well, since we've already eaten soup and other starters, it's time for the main course - Villians. I will focus here on two of them, "Collective Heroes" in the form of enemy troops, fences and semi-randoms, who do not have too much influence on the plot, I omit. I will not describe one of them, because I have no opinion on it. It's quite enigmatic, looks standard, but after a few scenes in S4, I can see that it's just appearances. Gauron is different. I don't know if the author of the manga and books was inspired by the Joker from Batman, but if so - he did it perfectly. If not, then I congratulate him even more. If you think you've seen it all about psychos, smart brawlers, or mixes of both character types, all that's left for me to say is, "You don't know anything, Jon Snow." Gauron is a piece of motherfucker - a combination of chaos, unpredictability, extraordinary intelligence and balls so big that he could destroy the Wall Trade Center with them, if someone did not do it for him. The guy sets some strategic goals, but how he will achieve them is also unknown to him. Most of his ideas and actions are pure improvisation, usually putting his head under the executioner's sword. The comparison to the Joker is not accidental - you can expect genuinely everything from him. If something is fucked up and deadly, but still feasible, Gauron will do it. The first season showed it perfectly. Although he is a ruthless and overbearing dick, he has the so-called "Rogue's Honor". This was well explained by Witold Gadowski when he spoke about General Kiszczak (the man who was one of the most important creators of my country after the communist period. Even after his death, he keeps our entire political class by the balls - mainly thanks to the hooks and information that Polish politicians would most likely forget about. .) - even though his evil is unquestionable, if he has promised something, it is verbal. The second Villian who made a strong impression on me is Kurama. He is the opposite of Gauron and Gates (I wrote about him in the review of season 3, which is why I omitted him in this text) - they both liked to play with their victims like a cat with a hunted mouse. Kurama is a methodical motherfucker, like the Nazis of the Second World War. As my great-grandmother, who participated in the war, said - "The Germans were evil and cruel like the Soviets, but at least they had a code and if you followed it, it was relatively quiet. The Soviets were ordinary animals." Gauron can be compared to a Russian from this period, while Kurama approaches killing like a German. It works as planned, it does not play with its prey, but murders it when necessary. He treats people as tools to achieve his goals and, like Gauron, will do anything to achieve his goal. Only, unlike him, will he scrupulously prepare a plan and protect himself from any surprises that his opponents may cause him (or at least to some extent).

    FMP8.jpg

When it comes to lines, graphics, CGI etc. as a standard I will say - I do not know about these issues and prefer to avoid evaluation. I wouldn't be able to defend it, and people who have some idea about them would have no problem disproving my arguments. What I can say is that every season looks good and 3 and 4 look the best, although this is mainly due to the fact that they are the youngest.

The soundtrack is probably the only thing that stands out from the rest. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's weak, average, or just pretty good. OST is good, I would probably put 7/10 among the "better" ones, it has a few distinctive songs that I will remember, but there was no song that stands out above that. It is different in the case of opening and ending - there has been no situation in which I would skip one or the other for a long time. Both do their job perfectly - they are great songs, they have a great atmosphere, they start and end each episode perfectly. As I wrote in the introduction - each episode is packed to the max with great content, not giving us the opportunity to get bored. When the episode slowly ends and we hear the ending begin, we get hit in the head, like Apollo Creed from Ivan Drago in "Rocky". We feel the power of the plot twist and emotions that evoke emotion or anger, because unfortunately there is not much joy this season, and we sit and watch ... Although I love bing-watching, it is thanks to watching one episode at a time for dinner every day, I appreciate the slow time watching the show again. Thanks to this, the events that take place in it hit me even more, which is slightly weaker when watching at least a few episodes in a sequence. Maybe you do not feel it with every series, but when I watch some series for the second time with Asia (she is watching it for the first time), I notice things that I missed during the first screening. I also began to understand the arguments of people who criticize bing-watching. For years I did not understand them, but for a year now I understand them better and better. I will even write some text about it soon. I will definitely watch the second season of "The Witcher" in one weekend, but this time I will try to watch a maximum of two episodes during one session. Eg Friday night, Saturday morning, evening and the same for Sunday.

    FMP9.jpg

Also this one, if you're waiting for my rating, it's 10/10. I would probably rate them as the best anime of 2018. Indeed, I haven't seen all the important titles from this year, but even with some comparably good ones out, I don't think FMP S4 will drop below the top-3. It's too high a standard, and it's hard for me to list many TV series that would hold the same high standard. Hopefully this year or 2022 we'll get the Season 5 sneak peak because I'm looking forward to it. Go watch, then you will thank me.

  5. Review of FMP Fumoffu / Recenzja FMP Fumoffu@herosik1771d

    oku fmp.jpg

Over the years I have heard different opinions about the second season. Both positive and negative, though the unflattering ones, definitely prevailed (or at least the ones I've read). I partly agree with the complaints, partly I find them nonsense. Or no, I got it wrong, I'm withdrawing from the word "nonsense". It seems to me that some of the critical opinions are due to the fact that fans had different requirements and expected a full-fledged sequel, not a midquel, which on the one hand is a kind of continuation, but can also be treated as an add-on or DLC to 1 season, using the language of the players. If I was younger I would probably be closer to this camp, but age, experience (no, I don't take that as an exaggerating argument, I've seen a lot of anime before and want to experience something fresh) and most of all my expectations pushed me towards the fans of this season . However, if it were longer, my opinion would be more critical. Why? I invite you to read the rest of the text.

Before I go to the explanations, I will briefly write my impressions. Generally, I liked the fact that we took a break from military climates for a while, and these usually appeared when there was a need to justify or explain a thread. There were practically no mechs, the military only showed up when they had to (it's a shame Kurz Weber had so little airtime), which allowed Sagara and Chidori to pretend to be (almost) normal students, and viewers could rest after the intense and emotionally engaging finale of the first season. The second was calm, idyllic, such a pure comedy without any serious elements. If I was younger, it would bother me, mainly because I would consider this season a filler. Even today I thought so, so when I came to the middle, I asked Charles if these events actually took place in the manga, or if they were merely sketched or mentioned by the author. Like the violent and sexual scenes in the Silmarillion that some Lord of the Rings fans have complained about and will appear on the Amazon series. I partially understand your complaints, but I confirmed this information in 2 sources and ... Sorry, but this is the climate we have. Amazon, like Netflix, has solid arguments for introducing controversial changes (in the case of "The Witcher" I'm talking about black Elves, people - the fact Sapkowski did not mention them, but the conjunction of the spheres is a good justification for Netflix's policy of showing ethnic minorities). Karol replied that the author of the manga took an active part in the creation of all anime seasons, which in my opinion cuts the topic of being a filler. My only complaint is Bonta-kun. I know that this is a mascot that will appear next season, but ... Well, he did not convince me. He was even funny at first, but with each episode, my irritation grew and I wanted more and more to drop a bomb on him that would tear him to pieces. Apart from that, the animation (although it looks economical, in the sense that it seemed to me that the studio treated it as a production with a limited budget), lines, etc. came out approx.

    sd2.png

Although I praised the social nature of this season and the expansion of relations between the characters, if it had more episodes, my rating would have dropped rather than increased. Sure, the older I get, the more I like to watch anime deviating from their main storylines, as well as slice of life and comedies, but they usually don't have much potential for a longer story arc. In my opinion it would be too boring (unless a good screenwriter with a lot of independence in the creative process and a good idea would do it), but as a temporary break? Absolutely, I would like to watch such a "filler" arc from time to time in every anime. Take DBZ and DBS for example. True, both titles are longer than FMP, which made us feel an even greater need to take a break from the theme of the series, but a similar mechanism works here - we want to see characters doing something different from most episodes. They have free time like normal people, they relax with family or friends, you can even add their characteristic elements (like various Goku skills - teleportation, speed, levitation, super-strength, and in the case of FMP - Sagara's military approach to life and habits) ). What am I saying, it will be a normal thing - after all, these people practically do nothing else in their lives, so for them it is natural, as in our cases. After all, work necessarily affects our lives in some way. Thanks to such social scenes that deepen the relations between the characters, I can rest and look at the characters from a new angle.

    sd3.jpg

And when it comes to the anime itself, let me say this - if you don't mind a short break from the main plot - I highly recommend watching! If you are looking forward to the next events, in your place, I would save this series for the end. Once you've seen all the previous seasons and don't want to say goodbye to this world and its heroes just yet.

Aczkolwiek gdyby był on dłuższy, to moja opinia byłaby bardziej krytyczna. Czemu? Zapraszam do przeczytania reszty tekstu.

Nim przejdę do wyjaśnień, to pokrótce napiszę moje wrażenia. Mój jedyny zarzut, to Bonta-kun. No nie przekonał mnie.

    fmp OKU ENG.jpg

When "Full Metal Panic" was broadcast on Japanese TV for the first time, I was a 12-year-old kid. I do not know if I already knew then that anime are cartoons from Japan (at that time it was joked that they were "Chinese Fairy Tales"), but even if not, it was soon to change thanks to the TV series "Hellsing", and later "Neon Genesis Evangelion". Before these two series, I thought the anime were cartoons similar to "G.I Joe" or "Transformers", but a Franco-Italian-Japanese co-production. I don't know why I thought that, probably because the anime that was broadcast on TV was dubbed in French ("Mysterious Cities of Gold", "Captain Tsubasa", "Daimos", "Mahō-tsukai Sari", "Kaiketsu Zorro", "Yatterman", "The Jungle Book" etc.) + at a similar time I was in France and Italy with my family, where I had my first serious contact with "Neon Genesis Evangelion", "Gundam", "City Hunter" and a few others. The first was a serious one, because before that I knew the openings that appeared on various CDs - be it computer magazines, not related to M&A, or the Polish window on the manga world - Kawaii. My brain somehow connected French dubbing, huge advertising banners or TV commercials that I saw in the above-mentioned countries. A few years later, when my knowledge was a bit greater, I wrote on several forums before Facebook murdered most of them. Back then, "Full Metal Panic" was quite popular. I did not see him then, because my knowledge of English was poor + the anime is supported by Gonzo studio, which did not enjoy a good reputation at the time. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I guess it was because their anime is technically weak + they have too many ecchi elements - i.e. boobs exposed or a naked part of their body. Or at least that's how they were perceived. I do not know how much truth there is, I am not going to investigate it myself, because it does not really matter. And guess what? I am very glad that I missed this title and only got to know it now.

    G1.jpg

    g2.jpg

Why? Mainly because I won't suffer so much from not having an ending (the anime still hasn't adapted the entire comic) + I'm mature and educated enough to fully appreciate it. And what is it for! FMP is a title that I can classify into the real mecha genre (apart from one element that I could defend with my argument, at least I think so), which, combined with the atmosphere of the war anime, gives me a lot of fun! The atmosphere is not as dense as in LotGH or "Gundam the Origin" and I can say the same for the degree of realism. Or rather realistic depiction of reality, because it is difficult to talk about the former, as in our world we do not have such mechs yet, but I do not treat it as a disadvantage. It would be stupid of me, because apart from the elements to relieve emotions, or the character of Gauron, I found nothing that would prevent me from classifying this anime into this genre. At most, I would compare it to "Lupine III" or "Detective Conan" - you can see that the author knows the subject (at least like Sapkowski, who described the elements he wove into the world of "The Witcher", i.e. economic threads, well and in sufficient detail). description of the operation of various machines, etc.), but due to the specificity of this type of art and the good of history, he allowed himself to add a few looser elements.

    g3.jpg

The plot doesn't look too complicated at first. Well, there is the Mithril organization that acts like such a global policeman - they engage in some armed conflicts, save or guard important figures. Their main base is a huge nuclear powered submarine with unique content - a squad of the most technologically advanced mechs in their world. Mithril consists of some of the best soldiers from around the world - for example, Japanese, Europeans. One of their jobs is to protect Kaname Chidori. An ordinary girl who is also such a super advanced HDD with a lot of very important information. Sousuke Sagara was assigned to this task. A sergeant who is such a military McGyver, but since he has been inextricably linked with the army, he is overly serious, taking everything seriously. Up to the level of comicism, which is further emphasized by the fact that he has no knowledge of interpersonal relations, nuances of communication, not to mention his perspective in perceiving the world. Any loser who sits 24/7 at home is the life of the party and the master of contact with the rest of the people.

    g7.jpg

Since I started about the characters, a few words about them. I'll start with my favorite, Gauron. I heard about it for the first time several years ago, when my friend was delighted with this title. The description of his authorship (although it perfectly reflected his approach to life and personality) did not impress me. I don't remember exactly how it went, but it was something like this - "a fucking sociopath and psychopath who doesn't give a shit about whether he dies or survives." Over the years, I have seen many different titles that have intriguing characters of this type. The competition is fierce, and Sato from "Ajin" is currently at the top. Gauron, despite so many years and many titles that better or worse portrayed these types of characters, still makes a phenomenal impression. The opening episodes are perhaps not too surprising, just another muscular screamer who is apparently a fool. This, however, changes with each episode. He is not a titan of intellect like the above-mentioned Sato, nor is he a master of planning and intrigue, but in each of these aspects he shows a sufficiently high level. However, what adds to his charm and is not seen very often (at least in the titles I have seen) is his audacity and betting high on the prize with an even greater risk of failure. Many years ago, when I saw the 3rd season of "Vikings", I heard an interesting sentence in the context of Ragnar Lothbrok - nature or God (depending on whether you are atheists or believers) likes to reward people who believe in their success 100%. People who are not afraid to put their victory on the scales, people who are extremely audacious. This is the type that Gauron is. Especially the last episodes of the first season impressed me, but I will not spoil your surprises.

    g4.jpg

As for the rest of the heroes, I like Captain Teleth Testaross, Kurz Weber, Kaname Chidori and Sousuke Sagar. Teletha is a sweet, yet clever and intelligent girl who knows how to use what she's seen. There wasn't a point in the first season where she made a strong impression on me, but overall my feelings are positive. Initially, I was afraid that FMP would be another anime in which a cute girl with a goofy character (turning into an extremely intelligent girl when the seriousness of the situation demands it) takes a high position because yes, but luckily it turned out otherwise pretty quickly. I've seen better characters of this type, but I can't cite any example right now. As for the Chidori, I have similar conclusions. Also, at first I thought it would be another lady in need that Sousuke would have to save frequently, but it turned out that Kaname is brave and can handle problems. At least with those that are clearly not too much for her. What I like the most is the fact that this is not another indecisive, overly shy heroine (like Hinata from "Naruto" or Orihime from "Bleach"), who became infatuated with the protagonist and is unable to tell him about her feelings or at least about them inform. This makes her relationship with Sagara a pleasant experience and I hope that they will enter the next stage in the coming seasons. However, I have some concerns about this, not because of her, but because of Sagara, who, for the aforementioned reasons, has no idea about male-female relationships. Before I go to it, I will write briefly about Weber. I liked him, although he didn't have many situations that I liked. Sure, I liked him for his light approach to life while still being serious (like Saeba Ryo from "City Hunter"), but otherwise he didn't show much to me. He is definitely an effective sniper, which he showed several times by neutralizing the mechs of his opponents. I've already described Sousuke, so let me just mention that it was nice to watch a soldier actually acting like a soldier. It does not expose its back, it does not walk in a thoughtless way, like some heroes from several similar anime, relying more on luck, plot-armor than actual skill. He also carries out orders as he should - that is, he does not carry them out in a stupid way, he can protest when commanders show their ignorance.

    g5.jpg

When it comes to graphics and CGI, you can see that FMP came out several years ago, but it's not ugly anime. It stands the test of time well, which can be seen in computer effects, animations and lines. People who care about good graphics may be bothered by the age of this anime, but for 24 episodes I found nothing to complain about. The soundtrack is good - it's hard for me to single out one, distinctive and at the same time good track, but otherwise I have no objections. In this respect, FMP presents a solid, good level. The music is well suited to the events that we observe on the screen and appropriately emphasizes the appropriate atmosphere.

    g6.jpg

The anime is not intended for a younger audience, so the creators could afford a few bloody scenes. We have more blood, some brutal deaths or scenes. While some look polite and censored, there aren't too many of them. I also like the fact that in FMP we also see fights between tanks, mechs and other machines, e.g. helicopters. Previously, I only saw it in "Gasaraki", which I do not recommend - the anime has a great start, but the farther on, the more mystical elements in it, which in my opinion only spoiled the anime. I'm not an expert on the real mecha subspecies, so I'm not going to be smart. For obvious reasons, mechs have greater combat capabilities than tanks and all other combat machines known to me, but that does not mean that they are immortal and cannot be destroyed with them. Admittedly, in Season 1 I haven't seen too many examples of this (if any), but it has been properly outlined. If anyone is curious about the result of this type of battle, I recommend "Gasaraki", which in my opinion presented a better comparison of the combat capabilities of the above mentioned machines. All in all, this is a very good title that does not follow the patterns of other anime with giant robots or mechs. They are pleasant to watch, and the plot can surprise you even when you have high expectations. The graphics may not be amazing, but it's far from being described as "poor", "ugly" etc. I rate them on +8/10. As soon as I finish the 4th season of "Castlevania" I will definitely watch a sequel.

They thank Karol for the proofreading and expertise.

  8. Recenzja "Full Metal Panic"@herosik1877d

    fmp OKU POL.jpg

+ w podobnym czasie byłem we Francji i Włoszech z rodziną, gdzie miałem pierwszą poważną styczność z "Neon Genesis Evangelion", "Gundamem", "City Hunterem" i kilkoma innymi.

    g7.jpg

Skoro zacząłem o postaciach, to parę słów o nich.

    g6.jpg

Jeśli chodzi o resztę bohaterów, to polubiłem panią kapitan Teletha Testarossa, Kurz Webera, Kaname Chidori i Sousuke Sagara. Nim przejdę do niego, to napiszę krótko o Weberze.

  17. Full Metal Panic! My review@bharathmp3167d

Z.jpg Sousuke Sagara, a seventeen year old military specialist working for the secret organization MITHRIL, has been assigned to protect the latest “Whispered” candidate Kaname Chidori. To complete this task Sousuke will have to deal with enemies from his past as well as the occasional panty thief. Unfortunately for Sousuke, the toughest part of his mission isn’t only protecting Miss Chidori but also getting used to living an average High School students life, no easy task for someone raised on the battlefield
