Godzilla x Kong
The new Empire
Seen on Netflix
Synopsis
Godzilla awakens, seemingly hunting something, and attacks certain titans...
Kong, in the hollow earth, desperately searches for any remaining members of his kind.
Meanwhile, Dr. Andrew struggles to educate Jia, the sole survivor of her people.
But Jia is troubled by nightmares or visions, while Monarch detects signals strangely similar to the drawings made by Jia...
What is happening in the hollow earth? We'll have to investigate.
Casting
We will see familiar faces from other episodes of the saga, playing roles that are rather well acted, some of them caricatures, such as the podcaster or the pilot. Dan Stevens is funny and crazy, just the way I like him.
The other roles are fairly classic: the scientist mother, the chosen one...
My opinion
A new episode in the saga of these gigantic and terrifying creatures, who have little qualms about causing damage to maintain their alpha status.
However, they are intelligent and therefore capable of strategy and alliance, and we see Kong unite to defeat a common enemy.
Humans, as foolish as ever, seek to destroy what they don't understand rather than to join the real fight, even though in a previous episode they seemed to have understood that this was the key to survival.
Fortunately, a few humans, always the same ones, and not necessarily the most powerful or well-known, are working in the right direction.
The story confronts us with A Great Evil and offers the script original techniques to combat it, giving rise to some very well-done special effects, with a few liberties taken, but it's enjoyable to watch, and we let ourselves be carried away, knowing that in this dystopia, it's possible.
On the other hand, if we count the number of collateral victims, we quickly get a headache :)
A good piece of entertainment that will clear your head for an evening, to which I give a solid 8/10.

Synopsis
›'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire' Review: A really cinematic experience in HDR@namiks542d
I don't think I have been taking advantage of the HDR capabilities of my Macbook Pro. While streaming services don't really offer that option (or at least I haven't really noticed it) it hasn't really managed to find its way to my screen. I think the last time I tried to watch something HDR was a film I tried watching last year, to which it had my laptop's battery drain stupidly fast, to which I just didn't bother continuing. Fast forward to now, and I just discovered that at some point in 2024 there was a Godzilla (not versus this time) x Kong release. I remembered watching the previous Godzilla vs Kong title and thinking it wasn't all that bad, despite the human side of the film being the weakest part of it all. I guess this film flopped for it to have managed to have been released with it having next to zero cultural impact. I didn't see anyone on Hive review it. I didn't see critics anywhere mentioning it. No online presence in forums and the rest. Quite a surprise. Though this is a franchise that has been struggling to make much of an impact despite the massive kaiju monster branding it holds. I guess families and zoomers aren't all that interested in them after all. It seemed like something that would've seen a straight to streaming release, though I suspect it did initially launch in the cinemas. Contrary to my assumptions, it did somehow manage to be a success, making its money back and gaining a little extra, albeit still a bit of a gamble given its budget.
If my memory is to not fail me, I remember the previous title being pretty good when it came to the action side of things. Incredibly cinematic with some really beautiful cinematography and lighting to it, really capturing the aesthetic of a world where new technologies have been discovered for humanity, while gigantic creatures still reign over nature, with a little bit more balance. Sounds design being another massive strength that gave all the new technologies and fights some real punch. The main weakness being the casting which fell flat, and some of the characters which felt too silly to have taken the world seriously where it should've. That old annoying aspect of Marvel films in which every other line must be a joke regardless of the situation the characters find themselves in. Unfortunately, Godzilla x Kong maintained some of that silliness where it wasn't necessary, but I didn't mind it so much given the rest. Just the fact that the film didn't feature Millie Bobby Brown was already a large positive. And one more quick note before I jump into the main segment of the review: I did watch this in HDR, so the visuals were significantly more impressive to me than they would've been in SDR. I'm sure the SDR version still looks good, but this is a colourful film and it certainly benefits from HDR.
Godzilla x Kong takes things into another route where the two kaiju aren't necessarily fighting against each other for once, I guess the two got a bit bored of that, and a larger threat to them both appears. Kong discovering that he isn't the last of his kind in the Hollow Earth, though their intent is quite sinister with plans to invade the Earth and utilise the power of another kaiju that spreads frost. Links made to the previous Ice Age in which it was caused by this particular kaiju. It's a bit more of a larger story this time around, but it's definitely refreshing to see the Hollow Earth side of things expanded upon with different creatures, no longer relying on just throwing Kong and Godzilla at each other over and over again. It's with this that the film can also take advantage of its larger universe side of things, finding ways to bridge in other kaiju and making things a little more epic. So far there have been attempts at that in the previous titles, but I think their appearances haven't been that good. This time Mothra is conjured, though a big moth doesn't sound like much of a threat to anyone beyond their clothing, does it? Jokes aside, it was nice to see them spread things out again, though much of the film relies a little too much on the human interactions again, and that is yet again where things fall a little too flat: characters we just can't care for. For the most part they're there for comedic purposes, which as always just removes the seriousness from the story.
No longer does it feel like the Earth is being threatening with extinction, the only characters seeming to take anything remotely serious are Kong and Godzilla. Humans just finding every excuse to throw in some sort of joke about the situation or scenario they're in, rarely with a sense of awe in what's in front of them. Part of the problem here is the character of Bernie Hayes, a podcast owner that throws around his theories on the kaiju and the Hollow Earth, all the shadow corporations that have anything to do with it all that keep things tightly wrapped up. He had an appearance in the previous title, though not to the same degree as here where he's more a supporting role. I think these titles need to learn to keep the humour down a bit more, to emphasise the scale of the situation and have characters that react a bit more realistic to the environments. The problem without that is that when things that are a bit more silly unfold, they don't have the same weight due to the humour having already set the stage for ridiculousness. In Godzilla x Kong there's a scene in which the kaiju fight under zero gravity, jumping between floating rocks (including Godzilla) like total acrobats. It's insanely stupid, but it is epic and makes sense for the insanity of the Godzilla universe (I'm talking more on the Japanese side here). These more cinematic, dumb moments need to have contrast between them for better impact.
While much of the story focuses on Kong's side of things, the real star is of course Godzilla with the more cinematic approach to the fight sequences. Atomic Breath will never not be satisfying to see and hear. That silliness is also returning with Kong's side of the story in which he's running around looking after a tiny monkey that just makes a lot of the story seem quite laughable. But still, that cinematic side of things is what we're all watching for, and it does have its moments throughout. The usual teasing around the start, middle, and then the real pay off at the end where most of the budget clearly goes regarding the special effects. That music and sound design has been a great strength in the films, everything sounds meaty. From the roars of the kaiju to their footsteps and abilities. Even the technological side of the humans has an interesting sound to it that has the world feel like it is vibrant. I do think that aspect of the world building is done quite well. Visually and through audio. They definitely put the effort in where it matters the most. And in HDR it's definitely beautiful!
A new movie of big Lizard and Monkey has been released. Yes, I am talking about Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024). If you were already excited about it then you can go and see it but you should know what the movie is like. So that you do not have too much worldwide expectations then you can read this.
Godzilla came in 2014 and it has tried a few different things in its movies like maintaining the balance of being a massively entertaining and overall good movie, but in 2021, Godzilla vs. Kong finds itself Got to see it and in that they leaned a little too much on the Maas I angle, put a fan pleasing moment in front of people and it worked. There is a big chance that if you are excited for this movie, then the biggest reason behind it is this previous one. The movie was Godzilla vs. Kong, then for its next movie, it was 2024's Godzilla Take the universe to the next stage or go back to the same thing; pit the grown-up insects and spiders against each other; the picture is made. If you were there, which option would you choose?
Source :
The makers obviously chose the second path because so many memes have been made. The characters of both of them have been introduced. We have seen a little spicy relationship. I mean, it feels a bit strange to say but this is it, so what are they doing now after years. Godzilla's brother Mr. Kong is in Hello Earth and Mr. Lizard/Godzilla An unspoken pact has been made between the two on the surface of the earth that you will not come up with, I will not go down Sounds Kinky is a two Hours movie in which we see Godzilla doing small battles for the majority of the time in Italy. He is fighting with that monster after going to France and causing this scandal and actually I have a problem with that scene because it is played very fast, yes, put it in front of my eyes and move on quickly as if it is not a picture of Godzilla, it is the whole movie. At the same time, I found the tempo of particularly crazy scenes a bit fast. Why is the movie doing this!
Source :
Because its main focus is on Kong in the entire movie. He has entered a new world and is slowly exploring it, going to new places. He is meeting new people and in this cinematic universe, I have seen all its movies but I don't remember the last time he was so expressive in a movie, the way he gives two-three smirks, the look he gives after throwing a punch. There is a scene in which he has a fight with some monkeys. The little Kong that you see in the trailer holds their legs and rotates them and hits the others like a cylinder, although they are very massive sized Titans but In this movie, they showed a lot of agility, which is very agile and I don't expect this from Godzilla at all.
Source :
In the beginning, when he jumps, it is literally like towing. Has he lost weight? Is he going to the gym? Maybe, let's go. Something has happened in these movies where there is a Titan in the title and the main selling point of the entire movie is mostly being used to explain things to the humans so that they can tell you what is going on in the story so that they don't feel confused. Don't do that thing is also in this movie, what else did you expect but actually there is a small promotion also, they have become the nanny of Kong. It is such a strange scene in the beginning of the movie that Kong is asked to kill him. When it is attached, it comes and falls on a mountain. Then the humans find out what has happened and one of its teeth has rotted. They come by helicopter, pull out the tooth and put a new one. This is actually a scene within the movie, then it is like this. Gets up, takes a breather and then gets back to work. This movie doesn't take itself seriously at all. The scene was literally like when Batman and Superman are fighting and he says save Martha and Martha has ended the fight. Exactly. The same thing, yes, it becomes so cheesy in some places.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire | Official Trailer 2
OVERALLThere is a blind fight and I Actually enjoyed watching the ending fight, I was laughing so hard at many places. It does enough things to take the story of its cinematic universe MonsterVerse forward that if you are invested in its overall story line then you can watch the movie. Yes, but it also has to be pointed out that after the web series Monarch, watching this movie feels like a step backwards. I am speaking from the point of view of the universe. It is not that they did not try the prophetic thing. So, you can definitely Watch the movie for entertainment purposes. There are many different views from different people regarding this movie. But if you have enough time you can watch it.

The whole Monsterverse arc is a marvel and I'm glad it has managed to survive and that it is projected to even more stories with these monsters that when they fight they make the whole Earth tremble.
I have been able to see all the films and Godzilla and Kong The New Empire has not disappointed me at all, it seems to me a very balanced film, according to the concept of monsters that does not seek a philosophical end or anything like that, it's just battles of colossal beasts and that's what I want to see.
Kong is a solid protagonist, it helps him to be a Gorilla that makes him have very expressive gestures and connect with the viewer, in my case it has been like that and for the story I consider that also during this new colossal adventure.
Godzilla remains as a powerful secondary and powerful I do not mean in interpretation, if not in strength, serves to support the impact of the film for the battle, is a beast that seeks to bring order and makes it accommodates place, its argument is not complicated at all, there is an excuse to battle, he will do it and that's what I want to see.
The human plots is the weak point of this kind of films because they can be very boring or a filler to get to all the previous thing that I already described that are the battles, as I would like those arguments to be discarded and only be a monster film but in this case they are and I had no problem, in fact I see positive that there is a cast that at least does not bore, they are funny, it is not perceived forced and I'm happy with what I saw of them.
The ancestral cultures in this type of film are filler and should not be so, they are here too, is the most critical part because they are still the necessary script for the story to develop but they are not the pillar, I do not empathize with them and as a fan of ancestral cultures I would like a film dedicated to them instead of plots of present humanity that are filler.
Powerful Villain, I was happy with what I saw, my only detail to criticize is that his environment does not support the power that is said to have, or its antiquity, there is a strong evil but I do not see it as a danger, it is an excuse for the battle, I was happy with the fight but as a plot I do not see it as a latent danger at all.
In the video you can hear more of my opinion which is basically an extension of what I wrote and is where the greatest power of interaction of this post is.
I dedicate each and every one of my posts and videos to my little dog named princess, we called her chiquito, she is no longer with us but from heaven she will see that her existence was valuable and the most beautiful thing that will exist in my heart and soul.
›Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire by Adam Wingard - Another Good Iteration of the Both Franchises@afterglow766d
Greetings!
I have never been a huge fan of Godzilla and King Kong but I have to admit that I do love some of their movie iteration. In King Kong, I particularly like 2005's King Kong and Kong: Skull Island. In Godzilla, I like the 1998 iteration of Godzilla. Both franchises' successor films are all good. But I didn't have much interest in them and still, when I watch them I am entertained and impressed by how they were made and the stories are all good.
"Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" is all about the latest adventure of both Godzilla and King Kong. In the 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong, we saw the two titans squared off against each other which taught us that Kong's brute force is no match for Godzilla's Atomic Breath. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire showed the same, that King Kong is still no match against Godzilla even if he has an augmented upgrade.
Hollow Earth
I like it when Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire still delves into the environment of Hollow Earth. I particularly like the idea that King Kong is now living in Hollow Earth. But then it makes me wonder why Hollow Earth seems to have sunlight going through from the outside.
Just like I said earlier the sunlight doesn't make sense from the Hollow Earth perspective. Hollow Earth is said to have under the Earth's crust and it doesn't make sense that there is sunlight everywhere on the Hollow Earth. Well, it is a movie, so, anything is possible.
I am thinking of things that I don't like about this movie but then it seems to me that I do like its entirety. The story is interesting enough and how it is made is simply amazing. Needless to say, it is a very interesting movie.
Interesting story
Although I knew right from the beginning that there was a new character that would be introduced it is the story of how the character that will make or break the plot or is it going to be a plot hole? But then I never thought of it as a plot hole but a new addition to the story of the franchise. Kudos to the writer that made the story interesting and made me guess right from the start.
In this screenshot King Kong faced-off for the first time a character that is of his liking in this scene from Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire shows that there seems to be sunlight going through inside the Hollow Earth (source: screenshot from Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire)
Shimo
After the introduction of Skar King, I am still very curious about how the "Godzilla-like" will be introduced. Right from the beginning the two characters that will be introduced left me very curious about how they are going to be introduced because in Kong: Skull Island, King Kong's race where thought to be extinct but then in Godzilla vs. Kong it was revealed that Kong not from the surface but from Hollow Earth. As I was saying after Skar King was introduced I was waiting for the Godzilla-like character to be introduced and then out of nowhere Shimo was a prisoner of Skar King that he can command because of the crystal that's in his possession until Suko destroyed it.
All in all "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" is a very interesting movie to watch. It has all the elements that you want to see and with that being said it doesn't make you feel that fatigued in watching the franchise. But it led me to think about what comes next after this movie. Although the battle scene is very short compared to Godzilla vs. Kong it is still a good one. And I must say that I do have an idea of the ending, that Skar King will die but I never thought what would happen to Shimo.
That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.

This year they keep releasing new productions in the world of cinema and in other cases the continuation of various sagas, that one is surprised and thinking that they are going to put it again to make it more attractive and can exceed expectations. This happened this year with the new installment of Godzilla x Kong, which was released the fifth film, being a film that allowed to re-unite great titans and thus to stop each of the possible new threats that are placed in each of the films. Where this new installment has achieved a great impact, although it will always be somewhat exaggerated by the way they build each pellica.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, with only a week of its premiere, has already exceeded many expectations and raised a lot of money, which is one of the most named and sought after of the entire saga, by the very fact of being able to unite great monsters and to discover certain aspects that are behind this great action story. A film that is perfect for those who like action, science fiction and to see the threat of two monsters giving the best of them, where as the minutes go by the film becomes more attractive and to be aware of what will happen in this new world they discover, this is where we wonder: Will he be alone, will he be able to deal with the new threat, and thus create the most attractive minutes.
Of course it is a film that has certain aspects than the previous ones, since many of us already know the abilities, the way they attack and move, each time they give a little more emphasis to the presence of humans in such situations, which in some way can bring certain things to support, however, it is repeated once again that Kong is the great leader of all that, a beast that is capable of much and now that he has a super strong arm no one stops him. Everything begins with a new exploration to a world, otherwise it would be the same as always and could become a bore for many and at the end highlight the presence of the other monster that I do not like.
It is a film that has is to be very aware of every detail and the dialogues that are generated in the same, since those connections between monsters and the connection between monster and human being is not very rare, it is certainly something that can happen and continue to enjoy all that great adventure. What is new in this installment and what really surprised me is that Kong, now manages to find a place to live, despite being alone and remembering each of the adventures that this great monster has had for several years. Highlighting that great teamwork, being in each of the situations and above all fighting until the last second.
The presence of each of the characters in this installment are very good and bring a lot of value and many of them we already know from previous films and certainly take a different role and recreate this great adventure. In addition, this time we notice a Kong, as more aggressive and unafraid to have to face new rivals and prove that he is the only one who rules this world and will always be the leader of this entire franchise for his way of being. Unlike the other monster who is adored and has a great story behind his creation and I don't know if they ever existed because of everything he told, without a doubt in this new installment both manage to contribute a lot of value.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, knew how to present us with something new during the movie, even though for me it is a franchise that should have died, since it will reach a point where it will be the same and things will be repeated. Although I enjoyed each of those battles that they put, where the blows no longer have an effect and after many attempts they fall, something is a lot of laughter and at the same time is boring, certainly if you have not yet seen this new movie, I recommend it and see two monsters in action.
›Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire - Movie Review [ES - EN]@nameless16771d
With all this new hype caused by the surprise release of "Godzilla Minus One" on Netflix, it occurred to me that it was time not only to see this latest Japanese production, but to see two other films starring the great king of the Kaiju; I decided to start this triad of reviews with the film that is the latest in this American franchise called "Monsterverse" which is not only led by Godzilla, but is accompanied by the great Kong (not yet King), this being the second film that brings together these titans.
"Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire", the fifth film in the Monsterverse franchise, released last March and which against all odds became a box office success, being the second film in the franchise to gross a good amount of money. "GxK" recounts the events that occur three years after the confrontation of both Titans against Mechagodzilla, which causes Kong to head to the so-called "Hollow Earth" and Godzilla to proclaim himself as the defender of the surface world; Just Kong in his new and vast kingdom, remains purely solitary, but there is a great revelation and is that within that hollow world there is another kingdom where Kong can get what he wants so much, but also find a powerful enemy seeking control of the whole world, that will make enemies become allies and thus counteract this new threat.
There is no doubt that in this franchise, as in others, many people want to see what each story is really about, things that have been lost and that few keep, for example in "Fast & Furious" is less and less about the car race, That also happens in "Transformers" where the human characters have more scenes and prominence than the aliens with robotic appearance and just that same problem is presented in this franchise of monsters where humans had more relevance than the giant creatures, something that notoriously changes in this film where the relevance is repeated to Kong which is the character that has more development and largely obviating Godzilla who has greater representation in the final act of the film.
Again, Kong is the protagonist of this story and is largely told from his point of view and those who are closest to him, I mean between allies and those who considered an enemy; this story follows the great gorilla finish forming a home where he still feels alone and where events that are far from being something created by chance, in the end provides not only part of the history of the species of Kong, but the war against his great rival, in that is I think the story is correct because it takes the experiences of Kong in a new world, along with the brief participation of human characters; I think that in that was done a good job because there is even a good connection between human characters and the Kaiju, something I did not see since the first film of the franchise.
One of the reasons that prompted me to see the film was the greater time on stage by the Kaiju and that the decision was to give more prominence to Kong, I thought it was right, although in the end the big star is the destroyer of Japan on many occasions, but as I said before, Kong has taken the lead of the franchise and is the best developed character and this time follow the union with the character of "Jia" played by Kaylee Hottle who has an important role and what I like most on the part of the human characters; remember that she represents a tribe that worships Kong and just in the second film, it was known that the same Godzilla had who worshiped him as a God and that is repeated in this film which keeps me thinking how good it would be to see a film based on a very old story where these creatures walk on earth and tell the cause of his disappearance, hopefully someday.
Although Godzilla x Kong offers something not seen in previous films of this franchise with respect to the time in scene of the monsters, I think there are things that are still failing and it is still in the development of the human characters, who have little time, but it is still the worst, since both the performances and the dialogues are bad, especially the work of Brian Tyree Henry as "Bernie", the worst character of the franchise, he is not funny and does not contribute anything, now as I said, the best and what I liked is the monsters, several of the battles are good, entertaining and fun, I think that's what everyone wants to see and the film offers it; with this I say that the film fulfills its purpose, but I did not find it as good as the previous installments, I think the design of the titans are not as good and the CGI is not the best either and that is why this fifth film is regular, a 50/50, another case of "It could be better".
"Godzilla x Kong: "The New Empire", directed by Adam Wingard, is widely recognized as the fifth installation of the Monsterverse. The movie continues its predecessors’ tradition by displaying excellent giant monster fights and a new storyline and character interactions that make it unique apart from others as well. The content in this movie is a direct sequel to a 2021’s film named ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’, and the movie invariably expands on the existing original story while introducing some new components that enhance Monsterverse mythology side of it..
The central storyline of this movie is about the uneasy relationship between Godzilla and Kong, who have to join powers to fight back an old thread that is now out after many thousands of years when Godzilla lock him down on the underground of Hollow earth, an obscure Community of colossal Kong like gorillas was lead by their chief called the Skar King a story that not only involves Godzilla and Kong but also humans who Kong have been allies with for thousands of years.
Adam Wingard comes back to take the director's chair and he combines action with a lot of adventure, does feel like discovering a new world with just a bit of humor that frankly sometimes felt a little cring specially from the characters of Bernie and Trapper. The movie is does include a solid record of actors, such as Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Dan Stevens among others , who do not just play the roles but also add the feeling side of things like empathy and depth to their characters, but again during certain scenes same as with the humor added the acting felt a bit over the top although mix with the action and adventure is not a turn down for the movie, the movie was still able to present the monster fights that every was waiting for.
The story picks up where it left off with some characters of the last movie still playing an essential part in events such as Dr. Ilene Andrews played by Rebecca Hall and her adopted daughter called Jia played by Kaylee Hottle; Ilene is an anthropologist and has been elevated to the position of Head of Kong Research at Monarch, the secretive organization that monitors Titan activity, her primary responsibility is overseeing Kong and ensuring his doing ok at the Hollow Earth. Meanwhile, Jia who is deaf communicates with Kong by using Sign Language, she is probably the most significant in their relationship with Kong, this union is the basis of the plot and at the same time what keep the movie from been just constant monster fights.
New Threats from the Hollow Earth
At the beginning, it is stated that the crew of Monarchs starts to receive strange energy waves so they start to investigate and hunt down this distress signal, in their journey they stumble upon a source of beats which are indeed signals of distress sent by a hidden civilization of gigantic apes. The Scar King, the fearful tyrant rules over the monkeys through slavery like in a closed society or subterranean nest, weird why they choose to stay there when some of them do go to the surface, seems like his ambition is to overthrow the world from underground, the Skar King does put up a ruthless and scary personality with total intention different than others like Godzilla that can do a lot of harm but it looks more of a natural behavior.
Kong's path to success in the movie begins both on the physical and mental levels, despite been apes that do not communicate with words he does show his feelings during the movie, he initially concentrates on defending his hollow ground residence, but later on he finds himself in the middle of a deeper mission. After going into an uncharted territory on Hollow Earth he locates a young ape called Suko who initially was used as a bait to trap Kong, Suko was part of a pack of apes under Scar King command, but after taking Suko with him the relationship between them shifts when he becomes his friend not before Kong had to teach him but still clearly expressing who is boss, which delivered the topics of apprenticeship and development, reason why even without using words to communicate if you pay attention to some scenes you could identify how they communicate with each other, small details that prevent viewers from drowning into a constant monster fight.
Godzilla's Role
Even though the movie is set on Kong, Godzilla remains a formidable force this time more active than in any other movie, been around the world. The relationship between the two still been very volatile, sometimes they are fighting each other, but at other times they are working together but this time because Mothra intervene; lets keep clear that as long as their an egg left behind some where this kaiyu will never die, at the end they do join forces to fight against the skull king and his people. Godzilla's acquire new skills which now include a new kind of red radiation combined with his his character make him even more terrifying.
Ilene and Jia have a tight relationship which in some way becomes one of the main basis of the sentimental drama during the movie, Jia does not feel like she belongs to the place they live at, not the school, not the people, nothing. Ilene is totally committed to make Jia feel at home but at the same time she does have a very busy agenda taking care of Kong, Jia in the meantime is having all kind of hallucinations, visions and mood swings, that on a way signal her the path to the unknown civilization at Hollow Earth.
Bernie Hayes
The character of Brian Tyree Henry, whose name is Bernie Hayes, comes back and helps Ilene and Jia as they fall into their exploration with him to unraveling the phenomenon both of how Hollow Earth works, learn from the civilization Jia is from how they master gravity. Bernie Hayes for the most part puts up the comedy and a little skepticism, and this is to balance between the serious tones presented by the movie, Bernie even though not totally present as a serious character does bring a few bright insights and problem solving ideas through the story.
Trapper
Trapper, the main human character, I fall into this conclusion because how he is the one who actually keeps Kong moving forward, Trapper is a veterinarians of Kaiju with a lot of personality; to be honest from time to time felt over the top too, is played by Dan Stevens. Firstly he introduce himself by successfully removing an abscessed tooth from Kong, which look very cool an interesting how they use resin to make a new tooth for Kong setting up the expectations that Kong is going to get a lot of tech and surely he did. Trapper is very passionate about his work who would not been a Kaiju specialist, even some level of fanaticism for Kong, also he is willing to do what ever it takes to make sure Kong wins his battle, he goes to the length of bring in the fight to the Scar King as he takes his ship and persuade other monster birds who look like bats to attack Scar King.
The mythical Hollow Earth itself is visually impressive scenery populated by unusual monsters, felt in a way like Skull Island but larger and more vast. The movie uses completely the surrounding landscape, going from land to water, an resulting into great battles with even gravity changes, gravity is inevitable, and the zero gravity Kaiju battles are something probably not seen before, this demonstrate how create this movie is aside from the rest of the Monsterverse productions from TV to the Big Screen.
Monster Battles
The things that the majority of people are interested in are the monster battles and probably why the movie had a positive feedback from the majority of the audience online, the movie offers a great set of effect that fans usually love specially with Godzilla, but also does Kong's kung fu fight with a sea monster, Godzilla many suplex moves is something that I'm sure none of the audience will forget. Kong vs Scar King showdown is an experience that will stick seen so many monsters battle out at the same time.
Themes of Friendship and Survival
Friends and survival are the main themes of the movie which once again, the relations among the main characters, not only humans but also monsters, are an essential part from a literary point of view. The bonds of Kong and the Suko's character, and Jia's connectivity to both Kong and Mothra suggest the message of trust of the group and cooperation as Kong and Godzilla join forces, even towards the end with other Kaijus.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is a interesting addition to the Monsterverse series, offering a lot of action, adventure, and emotions from both Kong and the Human Characters. In my opinion it succeeds in delivering the monster battles that the audience expected but true fans might find this battles just too easy and in fact too much battle for what usually is Godzilla specially. The exploration of the Hollow Earth and its hidden civilization adds a new layer to the Monsterverse mythology, setting the stage for future installments where Hollow Earth will be a regular place to visit as Skul Island. The characters, both old and new, bring a sense of continuity and growth to the story, Ilene and Jia's relationship provides an emotional drama situation, while Bernie and Trapper add humor. I get how this movie might be appealing for the most part of the audience although I don't feel it was the best one of all, my problem with this iteration of the Monsterverse is how short were the battles, probably this could be the new trend on the Monsterverse, more monsters, more fights because it is true that this version brings in the most monsters ever on a single movie but for anyone who has been following the Monterverse we are more use to slower fights and larger time stamp between fights, reason why I only give it a 6.5/10 but after all I was OK with it and manage to watch the movie without any actual regrets but I don't think this is a movie I would look into watching more than once.

The new movie of these titans has been out for a while now, I was saving it until I finished watching other series, because I usually see this kind of content as a refreshment after watching more complex plots. This movie, which would be the last of what has started to be called Monsterverse, seems to comply with the fanservice.
El Monsterverse toma su cause | Godzilla X Kong The New Empire
I think that all this new saga of Godzilla related movies from Warner Brothers have done a good job in making the already famous kaijū more popular worldwide. The Japanese production company Toho already has more than 37 productions about Godzilla until the year 2023 but they are unknown to the rest of the world.
The Japanese productions of Godzilla have a particularity that sustain in all their films, a particularity that was the reason for the criticism towards the Warner Brothers monsterver, it is simple: Godzilla is the protagonist, but the new films have wanted to give more prominence to human stories, which was not well seen and caused several criticisms.
For that reason this new installment titled Godzilla x Kong The New Empire seems to try to improve this issue and reduced the prominence of humans, focusing more on the titans but highlighting much more the story of Kong who particularly I think steals the show, you can feel an evolution of his character.
Much of the film we see the colossal ape in his activities in the interior of the earth, in scenes where he is shown humanized with feelings of loneliness for being apparently the last of his species. This takes a turn with the appearance of Zuko the little ape who leads Kong to a settlement of more of his species.
This part of the film for me is one of the most exciting, Kong knowing there are more apes is shown as revitalized and hopeful because he is no longer the only one, but discovers that the others are ruthless and deceitful because they are ruled by Scar King, intelligent and ambitious who dreams of ruling the surface, together they star in the most epic combat sequence of the film.
Talking precisely about the combat, this improved a lot, although in the moments where the humans appear the movie gets slow, the moments of the titans are full of action and amazing fights, with a quite respectable CGI that shows enough details to enjoy to the fullest.
Another aspect that improved in relation to the previous Godzilla vs Kong movie was the lighting of the scenes, previously it was very dark, giving the impression that the creators wanted to hide a bad CGI, but now we see all the fighting in broad daylight, accompanied by much destruction of several recognized cities.
I think that overall it is a good and entertaining movie, the evolution of Godzilla is fascinating and makes him consolidate his supremacy over the other kaijū, with enough combat and destruction to entertain and get out of the routine of series or movies with complex plots.

With some friends we went to the nearest movie theater and this was in the Los Aviadores shopping center which is a few minutes away from Maracay. We chose this movie theater, because the entrance was mainly too cheap, costing 63Bs which would be something like $1,5.
And also the atmosphere after watching the movie in the mall is quite relaxed and you have a lot of shopping options to see.

Since I knew that this movie was about to be released I was excited to see it because the films of this duo are one of my favorites of the genre science fiction, fantasy, adventure, action.
This story brings us closer to the hollow earth a world that has not been explored by mankind where there are also huge and strange creatures coexist this is the new home of Kong. On the other hand on the surface is the legendary and fearsome Godzilla waging threats that humanity can not fight with Titans.
While the story unfolds Jia (Kaylee Hottle) begins to have strange dreams on the other hand the Kong research team receives on their radars certain anomalies coming from the hollow earth so the head of Kong research Dr. Ilene Andrews (Rebecca Hall) assembles a team composed of journalist Bernie Hayes (Brian Tyree Henry), veterinarian Trapper (Dan Stevens) as well as Jia (Kaylee Hottle) joins the team and embark on a journey of risk and adventure to the hollow earth in order to investigate what is happening. In this hollow earth they unravel the mysteries of Skull Island, the history of the Titans and their origins. It is also the home of an ancient human civilization and home to a hidden threat that yearns for the domination of the surface and humanity. However, the only one capable of saving humanity is Kong with the help of Godzilla, but is it possible that they can be together in the same territory and save humanity?
As for the story I find it very good its script is quite original it was thought that Kong was the only one of its kind but in the hollow earth we could see many giant apes to the joy of with Kong has more of its kind and even was one of the scenes that I liked the most and we could also see another species of Godzilla that in my opinion is somewhat docile.

›Movie review : Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire .@mrarhat836d
How are you all ? I am fine because for now there is no pressure, no work, no study. So I am finishing watching new movies in free time. Currently I am watching episodes of Invincible Season 2. Today I watched the new release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire from Mostarverse. I was very excited about this because I love this kind of movies. So today I will tell you my opinion about Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire movie. This year is very special for Mostar lovers because Godzilla Minus One was released before the beginning of the year, Godzilla x Kong The New Empire was released this month, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will be released in May.
The movie was released on 29 March 2024. And the total time of the movie is 1 hour 55 minutes. Which is similar to Godzilla vs Kong, the previous installment of the Mostarverse franchise. Those who have not seen Godzilla vs Kong should watch the Godzilla vs Kong movie before watching Godzilla x Kong The New Empire. Then it will be convenient to understand the new part because many things here are related to the previous part is Godzilla vs Kong.
I won't give any spoilers here. Because then you will lose the whole attraction of watching this movie. In this movie you can see many characters of Godzilla vs Kong such as Ilene, Bernie, Jia, . Each of their performances are as beautiful and clear as before. In addition to this, we have two new powerful masters added in this movie named Scar King and Shimo. scar king is only shown in the trailer of the movie but shimo is shown in the movie. Scar King is an ape type master. Don't compare scar king to Kong again. Because Kong is a gorilla. Scar King has no special powers but is very intelligent. The proof of which we got in the movie itself. shimo is a dragon type master. Its special power is to throw ice wind. And another Titan is shown and that is Martha. Which is called Queen of Master. We saw this in the movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters released in 2019.
The main hero of this movie is Kong. Because in the first 30 minutes of the movie Kong's story is presented very nicely. Moreover, Kong is kept in the main focus throughout the movie. After the story of Godzilla vs Kong released in 2021, Kong lives in his own kingdom or world that is Holo Earth. There he fights various titans and lives alone. And there is another legendary master Godzilla on the earth surface. Because he lives on the Earth's surface, he is a Titan who can already sense the scent of other Titans. He protects the people on Earth surface from various dangerous titans. In the movie, Godzilla is portrayed as a Superman, meaning that no one can beat him. Godzilla is coming, generating power, fighting, and going into hibernation. Only a few Godzilla fights are shown in the entire movie, each for a very short time. But these fights look very joss with the sound effects giving a vibe of exciting level.
The rest of the story of the movie takes place in Hollow Earth. Now Kong first meets an ape named Suko and then Scar King. Although Scar King is shown as a villain here, he does not have any special powers and is not shown as a strong villain in the movie. Scar King is only beaten by Godzilla and Kong in the entire movie. Kong was beaten the most. Jia is seen in a very important role in this movie. Because we thought earlier that Jia was the last survivor of his race. But the movie features many other members of her race who all come together to help save Martha. Along with him telepathy communication, gravity manipulation, history painted in stone, shown in the movie. I like them very well in this movie. Something new has been added to the Monsterverse movie. One thing I don't like at all is Kong's robotic arm. Not only that, it looks like the director has added whatever he wants to the movie and we the audience are having fun and enjoying it.
It means we have no sense. Kong's hand hurts on Hollow Earth. A robotic arm is being made for him by a company that doesn't work anymore. They only made hands and dropped them on the hollow earth. Also added to that robotic hand is the wound medicine received by shimo. I don't like these things. Apart from these, the movie is quite enjoyable especially the dialogue with other apes in Kong's language, visualization, sound are all good for me. You can watch it at leisure with your family. Here, the entire opinion is my own. I am interested to know your opinion. If you have seen the movie, please share your opinion in the comments.
Synopsis:The stories of the origins of these two titans reach a new level, and as the battle between them becomes even more intense, more information about Skull Island is also revealed.
Hollywood is shamelessly the fakest cinema “mecca” you can find these days. If this status was ever achieved by American cinema, it has been gone for some time. Projects like this prove what I'm saying, because the monsterverse cinematic proposal that Legendary Pictures is trying to create is a disgrace on practically all fronts. Relying completely on the nostalgia of two of the most famous great kaijus in history, this movie is a classic example of how not to work with these incredible characters.
I can't comment much about the plot without ending up mentioning some spoiler, but I can say that the central point that connects Godzilla and Kong is one of the most pathetic things I've had the displeasure of watching in theaters. The plot has only a single thread (which is extremely problematic) that tries to connect the two creatures and their worlds to an external plot (involving humans) that borders on a totally disappointing level of stupidity. The poor “narrative” argument of this movie is one of the most ridiculous things that has been done in American cinema in years!
The real world and the mythical world meet with arguments that don't make any sense. The mythical battle with great impact on the existence of the titans (which, incidentally, helped to forge all of this) should have been one of the strongest points of the script, but it is just a lame excuse to throw two gigantic monsters onto the screen in a predictable and without major impacts. The presence of the true protagonists is simply something that has no reason to exist, just like the movie as a whole... Which gets practically nothing right in relation to what it sets out to do.
There is a hidden threat in our world (the human world), and even if forced, the titans need to find a way to destroy it before planet Earth and its inhabitants become extinct. However, this part of the plot (as well as other parts of the script) is never well worked on. Although there are brief mentions, the investigation into the facts is extremely shallow and also relies on the comic tone to try to create other aspects (which obviously translate into bad choices, because the jokes are not effective, in addition to being inserted at the wrong moments).
Despite relatively exploring the scenarios shown in the movie (which gives a false impression that this plot is well-founded), the script fails to develop absolutely anything that really matters. The characters are boring, poorly constructed and have managed to evolve practically nothing in relation to what is seen in the first movie (this goes for the new characters too). It's not the cast's fault (which is actually decent), but they also don't offer the least interesting performances to try to “make up” their stupid lines and actions.
Technically, it was already expected that a movie as big as this would be well done. However, there is also another problem here, because the project can't even do that right. There are some good action scenes involving these digital effects, but even though they are well done, they are not that creative (which ends up reducing their impact on the more visual aspect of the plot). Furthermore, some fully digitized scenes appear to have been included in the movie without due treatment in the editing room (and here I can mention the baby King Kong scene, which causes laughter).
In front of a script written by six hands (something that also impresses me... because that means that three people were responsible for writing something so bad), director Adam Wingard demonstrates all his potential as a bad director with mastery, because the What he does here is something worthy of never being repeated by anyone who really wants to stay within the movie industry in this leadership position. His work is sloppy, problematic at alarming levels, and gives me the impression that the studio just wanted someone to simply sign off on the script for the project.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire can even be considered “good” entertainment due to its visuals and the type of generic adrenaline that it can provoke in less demanding audiences, but for those looking for something more intelligent and that doesn’t just depend on graphics to exists, it will certainly not be enough. Not even its climax (which is where the movie should reach its full strength) is anything exciting, because everything is too rushed to the point of being confusing. If there is a next foray into this monsterverse, I hope it is something that honors the legacy of these kaijus.

›Mini review of Kong x Godzilla: The New Empire. No spoilers. / Mini recenzja Kong x Godzilla: The New Empire. Bez spoilerów.@herosik841d
I have never been a fan of Godzilla, Kong, westerns or musicals. It so happened that in recent years I have become very fond of westerns from the Yellowstone universe. I also started to understand what people liked in Kaiju movies (I'm leaving out Pacific Rim here, for me it was a mech movie, not a monster movie). This is largely thanks to Kong. After being very disappointed with the boring Godzilla: King of the Monsters and the boring and ridiculous Shin Godzilla, I lost the desire to see more films with the Japanese lizard. Today I know that I watched Shin Godzilla with a bad attitude and I will probably evaluate it differently the next time I watch it. If it weren't for the first movie with Kong in the main role, I probably wouldn't have returned to the Kaiju-verse (I say Kaiju-verse, because the title MonsterVerse was supposed to be given to films that were not made - a remake of The Mummy + some Internet users called Blood and Honey and subsequent films from this series series with this name). The Great Ape showed character, his fights were more interesting, the movie was good, and the human threads were not boring. What's more, considering my previous experiences with this genre, they were really engaging. This prompted me to give Godzilla another chance to win me over to his big person. My girlfriend and I were very pleased with Godzilla vs. Kong and as soon as we found out that another part was being made (and the same director was responsible for it), we knew that we would definitely go to the cinema to see it.
I was skeptical again after both trailers, but that was because of Kong's main opponent and his friend. I thought this would be a disadvantage. In the sense that he didn't look like an opponent who could defeat the Godzilla & Kong duo. However, the director surprised me! The main antagonist is a simple creation and if he were human, I would probably complain about weaker opponents from Marvel and DC films. However, he is an ape who, like Kong, is not a mindless giant and has his own personality. I really liked all the fights with his participation. Even though it's a mirror-match (I won't spoil why and it's not just about monkeys), the director avoided common problems. The fight is not boring, because both characters fight with slightly different equipment and have different sizes (Kong is heavier, stronger, the other faster and more flexible). The director's skills and ingenuity, as well as the fact that he really thought through what he wanted to show us, are also important. Considering how many series and films have half-baked scripts, this is an advantage. Its image is internally consistent and there are no unnecessary threads that lead nowhere. Or their finalization is disappointing. As for the rest of the movie... It was pretty much what I expected.
Godzilla x Kong is a solid continuation of the previous part. We got more of what the viewers liked, and the less attractive plots not only did not bother us, but were well written and edited. For a simple blockbuster, but in its case that's enough, because other aspects are important. The human characters have specific threads that are not unnecessarily developed. Maybe not all of them are engaging, and none of them are a showcase of exceptional screenwriting, but they certainly weren't tiring. And even if someone complains, they won't get bored. Adam Wingard, just like in the previous film, perfectly balanced the time for monsters and people. When people start to bore us, we watch monsters. When the special effects and fights start to get a bit tiring, we go to people's houses to rest.
Like I said, I don't know the Kong, Godzilla lore outside of the current series. What I saw in the previous parts was even good (i.e. better than average, but nothing great). Here it is developed more or less the same way. We saw new corners of the Hollow Earth, learned something about the structure of this world, and there were a few Kaiju that we hadn't seen in the trailers. Simply good work, you can feel the consistency with the previous films on every level. The Kong x Godzilla relationship always reminds me of Goku x Piccolo from the beginning of DBZ. Back then, they both respected each other, showed no declared hostility, but were not friends either. And Kong and his relationships with people are consistently great. I won't say why (because these scenes are often funny and they are not in the trailers), it's better if you see it for yourself.
I'm not sure how to rate this movie. I didn't enjoy it as much as my partner, but I'm far from complaining. I'll have to digest this movie and probably watch it a second time. No matter what, it's just a good blockbuster that you'll have a good time with.
W dużej mierze to zasługa Konga.
Godzilla x Kong to solidna kontynuacja poprzedniej części. Jak efekty specjalne i walki zaczynają trochę męczyć, idziemy do ludzi by odpocząć.
Będę musiał przetrawić ten film i pewnie obejrzeć go drugi raz.
