   The news of the school shooting at Apalachee High School and the other murders that have happened this week, in my country, has left my heart heavy with grief. It's disconcerting to see teenagers committing murder crimes, which makes me wonder where the innocence of childhood has gone. Has it become extinct? Do kids no longer value innocence, and all they want to do is engage in harmful activities? I felt overwhelmed, and the only thing I could think to do to ease the stress was to watch a movie.

   When I first heard about Gone Girl, I thought it would be another run-of-the-mill mystery drama, but that thought dissipated the moment I saw that it was directed by David Fincher. This film kept me hooked from the very beginning and had me questioning everything I thought I knew about marriage, trust, and love.

   Synopsis

   The film begins with Nick Dunne, played by Ben Affleck, discovering that his wife, Amy, has mysteriously disappeared on their fifth wedding anniversary. What looks like a typical missing person's case quickly turns into a media frenzy, with Nick becoming the prime suspect in her possible murder. As the police investigate, the story unravels in ways no one could have predicted, and it becomes clear that Amy isn’t the perfect wife she appears to be.

   

   Through flashbacks, we learn about their tumultuous relationship as what started as a fairy tale romance had turned sour. As more secrets about their marriage are exposed, the plot thickens. What follows is a twisted, psychological battle of wits, manipulation, and deception that keeps you second guessing everything until the very end.

   My Review and Rating

   

   Gone Girl is a dark, intense thriller that completely blew me away. David Fincher, known for his mastery of suspense, nailed it once again with this film. ^{After I saw Seven I believed more in movies directed by him}.

   I was genuinely shocked at how deep the story went and how well it captured the complexities of a modern day marriage. The whole "who’s telling the truth" theme was so properly executed and it had me glued to the screen.

   Rosamund Pike as Amy Dunne was phenomenal. I loved how she played the “cool girl” so perfectly, but then again , I saw her darker, more manipulative side, and it was both chilling and fascinating to watch. Her performance alone is enough to make you appreciate the film. Ben Affleck, on the other hand, was equally good. He portrayed the "loving husband with secrets" role really well. You never know whether to feel sorry for him or hate him.

   One thing that really stood out to me was how the film handled the media’s role in the case. It’s amazing how quickly the public opinion turns based on half truths and rumors, which is so relatable in today’s social media obsessed world. It really helps add another layer to the already mind-bending story.

   

   And that plot twist? I couldn’t even process it at first. Amy’s plan was so well thought out that I had to pause and rethink everything I knew about her character. And just when I thought I had her figured out, the film threw me for a loop, and I loved every minute of it.

   The cinematography, as expected from Fincher, was dark and moody, setting the perfect tone for the film. Every scene had this eerie undertone, which made the suspense that much more intense.

   

   If there’s anything that frustrated me, it’s how disturbing the relationship between Nick and Amy became by the end. I wanted some form of closure or maybe justice, but what I got instead left me questioning my own morals. It’s not a film that gives you a happy ending and I think that's what Fincher is all about but, that’s what makes it so memorable. It’s raw, unfiltered and twisted in the best way possible.

   All in all, Gone Girl is a must watch for anyone who loves a good psychological thriller. It’s dark, twisted, and will leave you speechless.

   This film is a 4.5/5 for me. Definitely one to recommend. So, go see it if you haven't.

   Greetings dear friends, I hope you are super well and that today was a great day, I love watching movies, but in this community I learned that I also love talking about them, that's why today I want to share a brief review and my opinion about another movie I saw a few days ago.

   Not as often as I would like, I can say that I got a great movie, but yes, I saw one of those that make you pay more attention than usual, because every detail is relevant to understand the ending well, to the point that if you don't, you may not enjoy the movie or even think it's bad. The movie stars Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, both have had great performances in other movies and the truth is, I think "Lost" was no exception.

   Saludos queridos amigos, espero que estén super bien y que hoy haya sido un día genial, me encanta ver películas, pero en esta comunidad aprendí que también me encanta hablar de ellas, por eso hoy quiero compartir una breve reseña y mi opinión sobre otra película que vi hace algunos días.

   No tan a menudo como quisiera, puedo decir que conseguí una gran película, pero sí, vi una de esas que te hacen prestar más atención de la acostumbrada, pues cada detalle es relevante para entender bien el final, al punto de que si no lo haces, puedes no disfrutar de la película o incluso pensar que es mala. La película es protagonizada por Ben Affleck y Rosamund Pike, ambos han tenido grandes actuaciones en otras películas y la verdad, pienso que "Perdida" no fue la excepción.

   I think that in this movie both actors did an impeccable job, making this a great story that in my case I will remember for a long time. Lately I have been watching movies from the previous years, as it is especially hard to find a good movie nowadays, so I go for the safe thing and at once I search from 2016 down, in that search I got this one that was released in 2014 and that I regret not having seen before.

   The story begins with our protagonist Nick (Ben Affleck) who unexpectedly notices something strange in his home, unlike the last 5 years, this time, his wife is not at home waiting for him and instead what is there is a table turned to pieces on the floor, which makes him worry about the life of his wife, who according to the clues seems to be missing, which leads him to call the police immediately to get the necessary help and thus find his wife, with whom he is casually on an anniversary.

   Pienso que en esta película hicieron un trabajo impecable ambos actores, haciendo de esta una gran historia que en mi caso recordaré por mucho tiempo. Últimamente he visto películas de los años anteriores, pues es especialmente difícil hallar una buena película actualmente, así que me voy por lo seguro y de una vez busco de 2016 hacia abajo, en esa búsqueda conseguí esta que se estrenó en 2014 y que me arrepentimiento de no haber visto antes.

   La historia comienza con nuestro protagonista Nick (Ben Affleck) quien de manera inesperada se da cuenta de algo extraño en su hogar, a diferencia de los últimos 5 años, esta vez, su esposa no se encuentra en casa esperandolo y en su lugar lo que hay es una mesa vuelta trizas en el suelo, lo cual le hace preocuparse por la vida de su esposa, quien según las pistas parece estar desaparecida, lo que lo lleva a llamar a la policía de inmediato para conseguir la ayuda necesaria y así hallar a su esposa, con quien está de aniversario casualmente.

In the movie we will be able to see parts of the current story and what happened in the past, in every passing minute of this movie we will be able to see in a very well done way, how a brilliant mind, but a little hurt by different circumstances, can become unbalanced.

   To begin with, this movie is mostly about love and how changes in addition to our bad attitudes, can make the other person feel a little overwhelmed, especially when they are giving their best. Depending on the other person's way of thinking or what they have faced in life sometimes exhaustion, can lead them to not think things through correctly, to want to hurt back and no matter what or how, manage to calm that emptiness or negative feeling that overwhelms them.

   La policía acude a su ayuda y junto a él hallan algunas otras pistas importantes que quizá den con el paradero de Amy (Rosamund Pike) su brillante esposa. Mientras tanto, la desesperante espera, además del acoso de los medios de comunicación, parecen volver loco a Nick. En la película podremos ver partes de la historia actual y lo que ocurrió en el pasado, en cada minuto que pasa de esta película podremos ver de una manera muy bien hecha, como una mente brillante, pero un poco lastimada por diferentes circunstancias, puede desequilibrarse.

   Para comenzar esta película trata en su mayoría sobre el amor y como los cambios además de nuestras malas actitudes, pueden hacer que la otra persona se sienta un poco agobiada, sobre todo cuando está dando lo mejor de sí. Dependiendo de la manera de pensar de la otra persona o de lo que ha enfrentado en la vida a veces el agotamiento, puede llevarla a no pensar las cosas correctamente, a querer herir de vuelta y no importa qué o cómo, lograr calmar aquel vacío o el sentimiento negativo que le agobia.

   Everything can be repaired, but when there is a betrayal in the middle, the wounds can be so deep that sometimes they do not heal and instead, can lead the one who suffers, to want to make the other person feel the same way he/she felt. We are used to these stories, however, we should already know that never taking revenge or causing pain to the other, can never soothe our own and usually this only brings unfortunate consequences and much, much more pain.

   I found interesting the way in which this topic was touched in the movie, I admired Amy and the way her brain worked, I think she did an incredible job, somehow she makes us empathize with her and from one moment to another, we are confused and do not know what to feel about her, in the case of Nick, with attitudes of a macho man who appeared to be a good husband, but in the intimacy of his home showed his true face.

   Todo puede repararse pero cuando hay en medio una traición, las heridas pueden ser tan profundas que en ocasiones no sanan y en su lugar, puede llevar a quien sufre, a querer hacer sentir a la otra persona lo mismo que sintió ella. Estamos acostumbrados a estas historias, sin embargo, ya deberíamos saber que jamás vengarse o causar dolor al otro, podrá calmar el nuestro y por lo general esto solo trae consecuencias lamentables y mucho, pero mucho más dolor.

   Me pareció interesante la manera en la que se tocó este tema en la película, gran parte de ella admiré mucho a Amy y la manera en que funcionaba su cerebro, pienso que hizo un trabajo increíble, de alguna manera hace que empaticemos con ella y de un momento a otro, quedemos confundidos y ya no sepamos que sentir respecto a ella, en el caso de Nick, con actitudes de un hombre machista que aparentaba ser un buen esposo, pero que en la intimidad de su hogar mostraba su verdadera cara.

   This is a good movie to watch, with unexpected twists and an ending that leaves us with our mouths open. Personally the ending was not at all what I expected and for a moment I was confused and even disappointed, but after a few minutes I came to the conclusion that it was actually an ending worthy of the characters, a good ending, really. I guess many will think like me, it's not a recent movie but I still recommend it and I hope you can enjoy it.

   Esta es una buena película que ver, con giros inesperados y un final que nos deja con la boca abierta. Personalmente el final no fue para nada lo que esperaba y por un momento quedé confundida y hasta decepcionada, pero a los minutos llegué a la conclusión de que en realidad fue un final digno de los personajes, un buen final, la verdad. Supongo que muchos opinarán como yo, no es una película reciente pero de igual forma se las recomiendo y espero que puedan disfrutar de ella.

Este decide buscarse un abogado y cuando comienzan a reunir evidencia para probar su inocencia se dan cuenta que todo ha sido planeado por Amy para vengarse y que no es la primera vez que hace ella hace esta clase de cosas, ya que antes había incriminado a uno de sus exnovios por violación.

   En términos de actuación la película es bastante promedio, aunque podríamos destacar las caracterizaciones de Rosamund Pike y de Carrie Coon como Margo Dunne hermana gemela de Nick. El elenco también cuenta con artistas como Emily Ratajkowski, Tyler Perry, Sela Ward. Creo que lo que le da toda la fama a la película es como está dirigida, como se nos cuenta la historia de lo que pasó y como una historia de amor se va desgastando hasta llegar al límite. También me gusta bastante el final agridulce que tenemos, nuestro protagonistas no tienen el típico final feliz y esto es bastante atrayente.

   Aunque le doy un 3/5, recomiendo verla ya que la trama se nos plantea de manera muy interesante, realmente necesitas saber en qué termina la historia. Esto es todo por hoy. Adiós!

   Hola querida comunidad de Hive espero que se encuentren muy bien. Hoy les traigo un post de una película que me dejó loca literalmente 😂

   La película se llama Gone Girl y es del año 2014, los protagonistas de esta historia son Ben Affleck y Rosamund Pike.

   La historia gira en torno a la relación de Nick y Amy cuando en su quinto aniversario, Amy desaparece sospechosamente y mientras van pasando los días Nick se va convirtiendo en el primer sospechoso. ¿El quiso matar a su esposa?

   Cada vez se va manchando más la imagen de Nick y es casi imposible que el no haya sido el que mató a Amy, pero porque el haría algo así si decía que la amaba tanto y su admiración hacia ella era muy grande.

   Luego aparece una escena dónde podemos ver a Nick con una mujer mucho más joven que el y tienen relaciones sexuales. Entonces Nick le está siendo infiel a Amy, pero ¿Desde cuándo? ¿Amy estaba enterada de esta situación y por eso en un arrebato Nick la mató?

   Además hay una noticia de que Amy estaba embarazada y en esta ciudad hay pena de muerte por un delito de este índole. Lo que hace que las cosas para Nick se vean bastante oscuras.

   Está película dura dos horas y media dónde realmente te adentras a la historia y te deja loco el plot twist por qué en mi opinión no esperaba todo lo que pasa a partir de la mitad de la película. Solo puedo decirles que hay que tener cuidado con quién te metes y no dar por sentado nada.

   Vamos anímate a ver esta historia donde nadie es lo que parece y que se que te gustará tanto como a mí 😏

   This movie lasts two and a half hours where you really get into the story and the plot twist makes you crazy because in my opinion I didn't expect everything that happens from the middle of the movie. I can only tell you that you have to be careful who you mess with and don't take anything for granted.

   Come on cheer up and check out this story where no one is what they seem and that I know you will like it as much as I do 😏.

   Last night I watched another thriller movie named "Gone Girl" . It was released in 2014 directed by David Fincher. It is based on a novel written by Gilliam Flynn. I don't know about the novel. I have just watched the movie and I enjoyed it very much. In the lead toles we will see Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne and Rosamund Pike as Amy Elliott Dunne. This one is full of love, suspense, brutality and so on. A complete package for the thriller lovers. Worth watching.

   So the movie starts with a couple and both of them are married. Here the actress is the narrator of some stories before their marriage on how they met and many memories till the half of the movie. The story begins with the disappearance of our actress who is known as amazing Amy in the film. Narrator shows us their love and how they became a couple even though it led to chaos after marriage. Domestic violence in a short phrase. And the story turned against Nick Dunne as he was the prime suspect behind his wife's disappearance. Even he was at fault to some extent.

   But trust me the way that story was turning and everything was put before our eyes I was just surprised and eagerly waiting for the next scenes. That's how every thriller movie should be, shouldn’t they? I don't wanna give spoilers because thriller movies can't be enjoyed properly if you can guess the stories how they are going and gonna turn. Unexpected things are the best to please us and that's what this one offered me. Anyone would fall in the charm of Amy and even I did too. She was so beautiful from the beginning and throughout the whole movie her acting was also up to mark. She did her part whether it’s love or vengeance.

   You will see a cute couple, you will see some love, you will see betrayal, and will also get to see vengeance. Vengeance is not the end, it's the part which is compelled to fall in love again and go to any extent to regain the love. Some mastermind moves and the love story is full of hatred but filled with love. Feeling complex to digest the story? Yeah it is. Go for it and i am damn sure you will enjoy it.

   The most amazing part of the movie was a dialogue which is still stuck in my mind.

   I have killed for you, who else can say that for you? You think you'd be happy with a nice Midwestern girl? No way, baby! I'm it.

   This is the part where you will have most of the fun.

   So this is it in short what i needed to express after watching the movie. For me it was worth watching and I would like to rate it 8.5 out of 10. If you love thriller or romantic genre films go for it. It will show the craziness of love too with the spice of thrill. Happy watching.

Чим далі продовжується сюжет, тим заплутанішим він буде: наприклад, виявиться, що в чоловіка була коханка... Чи знайдеться дружина і чим все закінчиться - дивіться вже безпосередньо у фільмі.

   I'm one of those people that read the book and then years later saw the film. I'm not gonna be one of those D-bags that harps on about how the book was better and in this case I don't really have to be. The story in the movie is a very good representation of the source material and overall I thought this was a great film that makes you think about villains in a very different way.

   

   I will come out of the gate and say that generally speaking I am not a fan of Ben Affleck. I just don't think he is a very talented actor and this is compounded by the fact that everyone seems to realize this other than Ben Affleck. I feel as though he gets access to good scripts and good directors and this is probably the only reason why all of his films don't absolutely suck. He is good at networking the way that Leo DiCaprio is good at always having the best directors on speed-dial.

   Gone Girl is a tale about a marriage gone sour between two people that thought their lives were going to turn out a lot differently than it did together. I think that this story of a marriage gone sour is unfortunately all too true in this day and age, but thankfully they don't go to the lengths that happen in this thriller of a story to rectify it.

   

   Lots of things had gone wrong for the couple since they first fell in love: They both lost their jobs and were forced to relocate back to a small city in Missouri where neither one of them were terribly happy after the hustle and bustle of New York City life, which they both enjoyed but could no longer afford. The grow increasingly distant and resentful of one another, and Nick (Affleck) starts to have an affair with a much younger woman. Amy is a bit more resentful than Nick as it turns out and she simply disappears one day with a crime scene in her own home that gives the impression that she was kidnapped.

   As the forensic evidence of the crime scene unfolds, it is revealed that a crime was committed and was rather poorly covered up including the cleaning up of massive blood loss in the kitchen that is quickly revealed by CSI units. Nick is the prime suspect but without a body it is impossible to convict him immediately. As the audience we are made aware of the fact that Nick didn't actually do it, but it is a ploy on the part of his wife to frame him for her fake death.

   Why the film is good

   For starters, despite Affleck's shortcomings as an actor, Rosamund Pike's portrayal of Amy is absolutely brilliant. She is terrifying and while she is revealed as being a complete psychopath, she is clearly in control of her emotions throughout. She is exacting, meticulous, cold, rather emotionless, and a tremendous liar.

   The story is also told in a non-linear fashion that keeps us guessing as to what it is that is going to happen next as the story goes back in forth in time and even goes into fantasy moments in Amy's mind about what her master plan is. As the story unfolds we, the audience, are kept guessing because unless you have read the book, the story is really shocking and unpredictable as it carries on. This is a rarity in Hollywood and the type of presentation that I think most people will appreciate who are tired of the cookie-cutter formula for basically any story that is so common in blockbuster films these days.

   Should I watch it?

   Absolutely, and this comes from someone who has read the book, knew how the story was going to end up, and still enjoyed it. If you haven't read the book and especially if you are completely unaware of the story you definitely should. I envy people that get to go into this film blind because it is a truly great take on psychological thrillers. Even Affleck's wooden acting style couldn't botch this movie and that is reflected in the fact that the box office take was 6 times the overall budget to make the thing.

   This is currently available on Netflix in most regions around the world.

   Rosamund Pike es la estrella de la película

   De un tiempo para acá he comenzado a oír el término domestic thriller como si se tratase de una especie de subgénero dentro de las historias de suspenso. ¿Cuál es su característica principal? según lo que he podido observar, se trata de historias de crímenes en las que hay un papel determinante de las relaciones interpersonales caseras y escenarios afines a ellas; es decir, se trata de parejas, padres, hijos, vecinos, y muchas cosas ocurren en la casa, el vecindario, el sótano, el patio trasero. Algo así como a home made murder (asesinato hecho en casa). Y dentro de estos domestic thrillers no he visto, hasta ahora, uno mejor que Gone Girl de David Fincher.

   La película es del 2014 y está basada en la novela homónima de Gillian Flynn del 2012. Con Fincher en la dirección, Flynn haciendo el guión basado en su propio libro y las actuaciones de Ben Affleck y Rosamund Pike, el proyecto prometía ser bueno, pero creo que resultó ser aún mejor. La historia inicia el día del quinto aniversario de bodas de Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) y su hermosa esposa Amy (Rosamund Pike). Nick se encuentra en su propio bar hablando con su hermana sobre lo difícil que es escoger un regalo de aniversario para su calculadora esposa porque todos los años los regalos deben responder a una temática particular y Amy suele hacer una especie de caza del tesoro con pistas que conduzcan a Nick a su obsequio. De pronto, recibe una llamada de un vecino y vuelve presuroso a casa: su esposa ha desaparecido misteriosamente.

   ¿Qué hace, Nick? lo normal en esos casos: llama a la policía, contesta las preguntas que le hacen sobre él, sobre Amy, su matrimonio y acude a la estación a dar una declaración. Pero quizás no ha hecho todo lo que había que hacer ¿por qué no ha llamado a los padres de Amy? por ejemplo. Rápidamente, la presión policial y de los medios le ponen los nervios de punta porque además de que las autoridades se toman las cosas muy en serio en esos casos, su esposa es algo así como la hija de América, debido a que sus padres crearon una serie de libros para niños sobre un personaje llamado Amazing Amy, algo así como si un día se hubiera extraviado Christopher Robin, el hijo de A.A. Milne, creador de Winnie the Pooh.

   

   Un inicio romántico

   Y entonces, Nick comienza a verse cada vez peor. Todos parecen saber qué hacer menos él. Se crean equipos de búsqueda, convocan una rueda de prensa, establecen una línea de ayuda telefónica; incluso sus declaraciones son algo escuetas, pero ¿cómo culparlo? ¿acaso nosotros sabríamos qué hacer si nuestra esposa desaparece repentinamente? ¿la han secuestrado? ¿llamarán para el rescate? ¿está muerta? con todas esas preguntas en la mente, ¿quién puede tener la cabeza lo suficientemente fría como para pensar en todo lo demás? no es su culpa si no actúa normal ¿o sí? pero luego de tomar partido por Nick, comenzamos a descubrir cómo ha sido su relación con Amy. Un inicio romántico, idílico, con una evolución hacia lo conflictivo y recientemente, una discusión sobre tener hijos en la cual ambos tienen posturas diferentes y que termina con algo de violencia. ¿Qué nos hemos hecho el uno al otro?, pregunta Nick al inicio de la película y luego confiesa a su hermana que la mañana que Amy desapareció, él pensaba pedirle el divorcio ¿qué?

   La investigación avanza, igual que la película, con mucho vértigo. La casa se convierte en escena de un crimen porque hay restos de sangre en el suelo (han sido limpiados), aparecen cargos elevados en las tarjetas de crédito, el seguro de vida de Amy fue aumentado recientemente ¡por Nick!, se descubre un diario de Amy en el que escribe tener miedo de su esposo y piensa en comprar un arma, Nick no puede (o no quiere) responder algunas preguntas de la policía porque dice no saber qué hacía su esposa durante el día, o dice que no tenía amigas (pero una vecina demuestra ser su mejor amiga) y para colmo, el sospechoso esposo tiene una amante: una joven estudiante, alumna suya en la universidad. En ese momento, ya no estamos tan seguros de su inocencia, tiene un motivo, las pruebas lo señalan, vemos el retrato angustiado, enamorado, desesperado, de su bella esposa, aparece la incriminatoria arma homicida y pensamos ¿qué rayos ha pasado aquí? revelar más detalles sería anular la gran experiencia que es esta cinta. Sólo diré que nada es lo que parece.

   

   Pike fue nominada al Oscar como Mejor actriz principal por este papel

   Ben Affleck no es un actor de primera, en mi opinión, pero logra representar sus papeles de manera aceptable. Incluso su Batman no es tan malo como se pensó que sería. Así que Nick resulta convincente.

   Tyler Perry interpreta a Tanner Bolt, el abogado que decide defender a Nick en el proceso judicial sobre el asesinato de Amy, representando un gran soporte, tanto para la trama, como para las actuaciones de los protagonistas. Pero quien _se roba el show_ y acapara la atención del espectador es Rosamund Pike con su papel de Amy. Su talento como actriz se evidencia en las diferentes emociones que debe reflejar y en lo demandante del papel que interpreta. Sin duda, es la estrella de la película y por eso obtuvo la única nominación de la cinta a los premios de la Academia. El guión está muy bien trabajado, no puedo hablar de su adaptación porque no leí el libro, pero tiene giros imprevisibles en la trama y en un género tan usado ¿qué podemos pedir sino giros que nos sorprendan? y vaya que sorprende esta película en ese aspecto. La banda sonora también es muy buena y la dirección de Fincher, acostumbrado al género, es de gran calidad, logrando que 150 minutos parezcan sólo una hora. Por todo esto y sobre todo por las cosas no reveladas en el post y que serán descubiertas por quienes decidan ver la cinta, le doy a _**Gone Girl**_ una puntuación de **8/10** y la recomiendo a los amantes del buen cine en general y de las historias de suspenso en particular.
