   Entrando un poco en las películas que me dan nostalgia, quiero hablarles de una de las películas que es parte de la infancia de millones, pero no, no es un resumen ni nada por el estilo, sino un cambio de perspectiva que hemos tenido a lo largo de los años, que según yo, exageramos, así que hoy hablaremos de: High School Musical

   Se que más de uno sabe que el personaje de Gabriela Montes, era nuestro suelo cuando éramos niños y veíamos esta película que ahora es parte de nuestra infancia, pero los roles han cambiado mucho, antes no soportábamos a Sharpey y ahora nos “identificamos con ella” y pensamos que Gabriela en realidad era una persona egoísta, pero ¿realmente es así?

   Gabriela es una chica nueva, que no tiene amigos porque gracias al trabajo de su mamá, siempre cambia de escuela, aunque es una alumna muy inteligente y sobresaliente en todo, ella conoce a Troy, cantan juntos y gracias a que alguien que no solo le interese cantar, quiere hacerlo, los demás se sienten seguros de mostrar sus talentos ocultos, entre su antagonista y sus “amigos” evitan a toda costa que canten para que todo siga como ellos están acostumbrados, aunque luego recapacitan y ya saben el final, hasta aquí todo bien, la cosa cambia un poco en las dos películas siguientes, en especial en la segunda.

   En esta están de vacaciones, que coincidencia mente es en un complejo deportivo de los papás de Sharpey, si nuestra antagonista, ella hace esto para estar cerca de Troy quien fue su amor platónico, ademas está interesada en ayudarlo a conseguir becas para su universidad, enfocadas el básquet que es su pasión desde antes que la música.

   Aquí es cuando tachamos a Gabriela de “mala” y “egoísta”, pero si fuera tu pareja, quien ha cambiado y ahora pasa más tiempo con alguien que obviamente está interesado en el, con la excusa de que es por “un mejor futuro”, tú lo dejarías? Yo por mi parte no jajaja y creo que más de uno estará de acuerdo conmigo en esto, por mas que sea por un interés, estas irrespetandome y cambiando tus ideales, dejando de lado a tus amigos, solo por aprovechar que una niña rica con contactos está enamorada de ti?

   A demás, son adolescentes, con más razón las emociones suelen ser más fuertes y exageradas, así que para nada es una egoísta, es la reacción más razonable para cualquiera y si, Shapey tal vez no es una villana, fue desplazada y comenzó a ser la segunda en todo gracias a Gabriela, pero no le vamos a justificar las acciones de niña mimada porque si, también actuó mal muchas veces, no nos hagamos los ciegos con lo que nos conviene 😂

   Troy decide regresar a su trabajo pero sus amigos deciden no hablarle. Kelsi le muestra a Troy un aviso dónde dice que ellos no podrán hacer su presentación, lo cual hace que se moleste y enfrente a Sharpay diciendo que no cantará con ella, luego se reconcilia con Chad y el resto de sus amigos. Lo convencen de actuar en el festival de talentos, pero con la condición de que también actúen los demás. Siguiendo las supuestas instrucciones de Sharpay Troy ensaya con Kelsi una nueva canción de la cual Sharpay no tiene idea, cuando Troy sube al escenario termina cantando con Gabriella y los wildcats. Al final Sharpay le entrega el premio a Ryan con orgullo.

   After the talent show everyone gathers at the golf course to enjoy fireworks where Troy and Gabriella end up kissing. And in the final scenes everyone in Lava Spring celebrates the end of summer by having a pool party.

   Luego del festival de talentos todos se reúnen en el campo de golf para disfrutar de fuegos artificiales donde Troy y Gabriella terminan dándose un beso. Y en las escenas finales todos celebran en Lava Spring el final deñ verano haciendo una fiesta en la piscina.

   Mi Opinión / My Opinion

   Wow, what can I say about this movie? High School Musical is one of my favorite Disney Channel movie trilogies and I would say this one was really good, not only do I really like this movie I also really like the soundtrack (even more than the first movie), and as well as the first movie this became one of my favorite Disney Channel movies.

   Wow, ¿que puedo decir de esta pelicula? High School Musical es una de mis trilogías favoritas de peliculas de Disney Channel y diría que esta fué realmente buena, no sólo me gusta mucho esta pelicula también me gusta mucho el soundtrack (incluso más que el de la primera película), y así como la primera pelicula esta se convirtió en una de mis peliculas favoritas de Disney Channel.

   The soundtrack was really excellent, songs like "What Time Is It", "Fabulous", "Gotta Go My Own Way" and "You Are The Music In Me" are my favorites, in fact I loved it so much that I bought a standard version and another deluxe from the album, as well as a limited single from What Time Is It, in my opinion the presentations of the songs during the film are also very good, my favorite being "Fabulous" in the pool, after seeing it the first time I would say that It totally exceeded my expectations and I still have it in DVD format. I also really liked that Miley Cyrus made a cameo at the pool party as she was also a part of my adolescence through her music and her Hannah Montana series so I loved seeing her there.

   El soundtrack fué realmente excelente, canciones como "What Time Is It", "Fabulous", "Gotta Go My Own Way" y "You Are The Music In Me" son mis favoritas, de hecho lo amé tanto que compré una versión estándar y otra deluxe del disco, así como un single limitado de What Time Is It, a mi parecer las presentaciones de las canciones durante la película también son muy buenas, siendo mi favorita "Fabulous" en la piscina, luego de verla la primera vez diría que superó mis espectivas totalmente y todavía la conservo en formato DVD. También me gustó mucho que Miley Cyrus hiciera un cameo en la fiesta de la piscina, ya que ella también fué parte de mi adolescencia a través de su música y su serie Hannah Montana así que amé verla allí.

   Troy and Gabriella first met at a new year's party and then reunite again when they discover that they are going to study in the same school and same classroom, Sharpay and Ryan Evans are the stars of the drama club, Chad Danforth is in the same basketball team with Troy and is also his best friend and Taylor McKessie is a very smart girl member of the academic club who become Gabriella's best friend.

   My Opinion / Mi Opinión

   Well, what can I say? This movie means a lot to me. When was premiered I was like 14 or 15 years and I loved since the first time I saw it. I became a big fan from the music too and when I bought the CD I learned them by memory. The movie is very entertaiment and I never get tired of seeing it, I also became a fan of several of the protagonists as solo singers and I was able to collect several records. I consider it one of the best Disney Channel movies along with others like The Cheetah Girls, Camp Rock and Teen Beach Movie, I really miss that Disney Channel makes such good movies. This movie also had 2 sequels and they recently decided to revive High School Musical but as a series which stars Olivia Rodrigo.

   ¿Bien, qué puedo decir? Esta película significa mucho para mí. Cuando se estrenó yo tenía como 14 o 15 años y me encantó desde la primera vez que la vi. Yo también me volví un gran fan de la música y cuando compré el CD me los aprendí de memoria. La película es muy entretenida y nunca me canso de verla, también me hice fan de varios de los protagonistas como cantantes solistas y pude coleccionar varios discos. La considero una de las mejores peliculas de Disney Channel junto a otras como The Cheetah Girls, Camp Rock y Teen Beach Movie, realmente extraño que Disney Channel haga peliculas tan buenas. Esta pelicula tmabién contó con 2 secuelas y hace poco decidieron revivir High School Musical pero como una serie la cual está protagonizada por Olivia Rodrigo.

   Personally, I didn't like the new series at all, I feel like it's not as good as the movies. However, the sequels "High School Musical 2" and "High School Musical: Senior Year" which were made for the cinema I really liked as well as the soundtrack. I loved having made them part of my adolescence and also having enjoyed them so much, and although the Disney Channel no longer makes movies like they used to, I liked having enjoyed movies like this one. They also toured Latin America and performed in my country Venezuela at the Baseball Stadium from Caracas my city, I had the opportunity to attend and it was an incredible and unforgettable experience.

   En lo personal la nueva serie no me gustó en lo absoluto, siento que no es tan buena como las peliculas. Sin embargo las secuelas "High School Musical 2" y "High School Musical: Senior Year" la cual hicieron para el cine realmente me gustaron mucho al igual que los soundtrack. Me encantó haberlas hecho parte de mi adolescencia y también haberlas disfrutado tanto, y aunque Disney Channel ya no hacen peliculas como antes me gustó haber disfrutado de peliculas como esta. Ellos también salieron de gira por Latinoamérica y se presentaron en mi pais Venezuela en el Estadio de Beisbol de Caracas mi ciudad, tuve la oportunidad de asistir y fué una experiencia increible e inolvidable.

   Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post súper genial en el cual les voy a hablar de High School Musical. Esta película tuvo mucho éxito al ser estrenada en Disney Channel y no les voy a mentir, yo fui gran fan de esa película cuando era niña e incluso llegué a tener mucha mercancía de la película, además de aprenderme todas las coreografías y ver la película cada vez que la daban en el canal, y la daban bastantes veces. Capaz muchos la conozcan y les trasmita mucha nostalgia al recordarla como a mí, ya que marcó a una gran parte de la generación. Hoy les hablaré de la más exitosa de todas la cual fue la primera entrega, comencemos!

Fue dirigida por Kenny Ortega con la idea de hacer un musical basado en una historia adolescente. No se tenía mucha fe en esa película, sin embargo el éxito fue sumamente grande y repentino, tanto así que se hicieron dos secuelas más con bastante éxito. A su vez en otros países se hicieron varias versiones e incluso series. Esta película inspiró a futuras producciones de la cadena televisiva queriendo imitar el éxito de esta película. Ganó dos premios Emmy y catapultó a la fama a gran parte del elenco que participó, muchos de ellos siguen en la industria musical y de actuación. Esta película es considerada la más exitosa de Disney Channel hasta la fecha, siendo recordada hasta el día de hoy.

   High School Musical is an american film released in 2006 on the Disney Channel. It was directed by Kenny Ortega with the idea of making a musical based on a teenage story. There was not much faith in that film, however the success was extremely large and sudden, so much so that two more sequels were made with great success.    La historia comienza con un joven adolescente llamado Troy Bolton el cual está entrenando baloncesto junto a su padre antes de que comience la fiesta para recibir el año nuevo. Al llegar a la fiesta Troy es elegido para cantar karaoke con una chica sumamente tímida, al principio se muestra renuente, pero siente una gran química con la chica en el escenario y comienzan a cantar juntos. Al terminar se conocen mejor y la chica se presenta como Grabriela Montez, intercambian números y Gabriella se va minutos antes de que se vean los fuegos artificiales. Luego de unos días vemos Troy llegando a la escuela East High siendo recibido por mucha gente, dándonos a entender que es el chico más popular de la escuela, siendo también el capitán del equipo de baloncesto. Al entrar a clases la maestra Darbus les dice a lo alumnos que habrán audiciones para la obra de teatro, donde conocemos a Sharpay Evans y a su hermano Ryan Evans, los cuales han protagonizado todas las obras. Troy ve que Gabriella es nueva en East High y se acerca a hablar con ella para sorpresa de los demás estudiantes, sobre todo Sharpay la cual está interesada en Troy. Luego observamos a Troy viendo las audiciones de la obra de teatro en secreto, donde nota que Sharpay y Ryan son muy buenos, siendo los únicos en ir a la segunda prueba de audiciones.

After a few days we see Troy arriving at East High being greeted by many people, giving us to understand that he is the most popular boy in the school, being also the captain of the basketball team. Upon entering the classroom, teacher Darbus tells the students that there will be auditions for the play, where we meet Sharpay Evans and her brother Ryan Evans, who have starred in all the plays. Troy sees that Gabriella is new to East High and goes over to talk to her to the surprise of the other students, especially Sharpay who is interested in Troy. We then watch Troy secretly watching the play auditions, where he notices that Sharpay and Ryan are very good, being the only ones to go to the second audition.

Para sorpresa de ambos, la maestra Darbus los escuchó y les permite a ambos audicionar en la segunda prueba. Al salir a la luz los resultados de la primera audición todos se escandalizan, y a partir comienza la travesía de Troy y Gabriella en vencer los obstáculo que los demás les imponen por el hecho de hacer algo que supuestamente no deberían hacer, luchando en contra de lo que digan los demás, además de generar sentimientos muy fuertes el uno con el otro.

   High School Musical tiene una variedad de personajes los cuales son bastante reconocidos. Tenemos a Troy Bolton interpretado por Zac Efron, es el chico más guapo y popular de la escuela, siendo el capitán del equipo de baloncesto, preocupándose mucho por lo que digan los demás e intentando cumplir las expectativas de otros. Está Gabriella Montez interpretada por Vanessa Hudgens, una chica adorable y tímida, conocida por ser la chica más inteligente de East High con las mejores calificaciones. Luego conocemos a Sharpay Evans interpretada por Ashley Tisdale, la chica más popular, guapa y rica de la escuela la cual ha protagonizado todas las obras de la escuela durante muchos años, todo esto junto a su hermano Ryan Evans interpretado por Lucas Gabreel, el cual tiene un gran talento para los musicales, sobre todo en el área de baile. Luego está Chad Danford interpretado por Corbin Bleu, el mejor amigo de Troy el cual es muy apasionado cuando de baloncesto se trata. También conocemos a Taylor McKessie interpretada por Monique Coleman, una de las chicas más inteligentes de la escuela la cual, junto a Chad quiere planear que Troy y Gabriella no canten juntos. También vemos a Kelsi Nielsen interpretada por Olesya Rulin, la pianista y creadora del musical la cual es sumamente insegura y tímida sobre su talento. Todos estos personajes sumando a otros que participan ayudan en el desarrollo de la historia, más que todo en el avance de los protagonistas en la trama, aunado al hecho de que cada personaje llega a redimirse en su momento.

We have Troy Bolton interpreted by Zac Efron, he is the most handsome and popular boy in school, being the captain of the basketball team, worrying a lot about what others say and trying to meet the expectations of others. There is Gabriella Montez interpreted by Vanessa Hudgens, an adorable and shy girl, known for being the smartest girl in East High with the best grades. Then we meet Sharpay Evans interpreted by Ashley Tisdale, the most popular, beautiful and richest girl in the school who has starred in all the school plays for many years, all this together with her brother Ryan Evans interpreted by Lucas Gabreel, who has a great talent for musicals, especially in the dance area. La canciones son: Start of Something New la cual es interpretada por Troy y Gabriella al inicio de la película cuando son seleccionados para cantar juntos en un karaoke. Get'cha Head in the Game es la canción interpretada por Troy y el equipo de baloncesto, donde nuestro protagonista narra que debe mantener la mente en el juego. What I've Been Loking for tiene dos versiones, la primera es presentada por Sharpay y Ryan con un ritmo más movido y alegre, mientras que la versión de Gabriella y Troy es más lenta y romántica. Stick to the Status Quo es una canción interpretada por los estudiantes de East High donde salen de su zona de confort, expresando sus otrosdemás gustos además de las actividades que ya tienen establecidas. When There Was Me and You es la canción interpretada por Gabriella, luego de estar decepcionada de Troy por unas palabras que expresó.    What makes High School Musical iconic are their songs for which they are mainly known for. The songs are: Start of Something New which is performed by Troy and Gabriella at the beginning of the movie when they are selected to sing karaoke together. Get'cha Head in the Game is the song performed by Troy and the basketball team, where our protagonist narrates that he must keep his mind in the game. What I've Been Loking for has two versions, the first one is performed by Sharpay and Ryan with a more upbeat and lively rhythm, while Gabriella and Troy's version is slower and romantic. Stick to the Status Quo is a song performed by the East High students where they step out of their comfort zone, expressing their other likes and dislikes in addition to their established activities. When There Was Me and You is the song performed by Gabriella, after being disappointed in Troy for some words he expressed. Bop to the Top is a song performed by Sharpay and Ryan for the second audition for the musical, inspired by Latin rhythms. Breaking Free is the song performed by Troy and Gabriella for the second audition, expressing that they want to be free to choose their path.    Esta película marcó un antes y un después tanto para las películas de Disney Channel, como el resto de las películas para adolescentes. Se puede notar como las películas del mismo estilo que salieron después de esta, en su mayoría, han sido fuertemente inspiradas en High School Musical, siendo musicales con coreografías muy bien elaboradas y canciones pegajosas. La cadena televisiva al igual que muchas producciones alrededor del mundo han querido imitar el éxito de esta película y aunque muchas han llegado a tener gran popularidad, no se comparan para nada con esta. Llegó a tener muchos admiradores en todo el mundo, distintas versiones de varios países e incluso llegaron a tener varios conciertos en giras debido al éxito rotundo de la película. Aunque actualmente la veo desde una perspectiva totalmente diferente a cuando era niña, no puedo evitar sentir una gran nostalgia al escuchar las canciones, cada vez que se me da la oportunidad de ver la película o cantar sus canciones las aprovecho. La considero una gran película que marcó a una parte de la generación y que además, recuerda con un gran cariño esta película y sus secuelas.

   This movie marked a before and after for Disney Channel movies, as well as for the rest of teen movies. It can be noticed how the movies of the same style that came out after this one, in their majority, have been strongly inspired by High School Musical, being musicals with very well elaborated choreographies and catchy songs. The television network as well as many productions around the world have wanted to imitate the success of this movie and although many have become very popular, they do not compare at all with this one. It came to have many fans around the world, different versions from various countries and even had several concerts on tour due to the resounding success of the film. Although I currently see it from a totally different perspective than when I was a child, I can not help but feel a great nostalgia when listening to the songs, every time I am given the opportunity to see the movie or sing their songs I take advantage of them. I consider it a great movie that marked a part of the generation that also remembers with great affection this movie and its sequels.
