El mundo del cine y la originalidad, este es un tema interminable, uno sin fin, siempre he creído que en el cine se puede hacer referencias a otras historias, hacer un homenaje a obras que nos han hecho amar al séptimo arte, estas son cosas que nunca me han molestado y que encontró gratas, esto para mí sirve cuando está bien hecho, cuando es una referencia más no una copia porque creo se puede crear una nueva historia de algo ya hecho, algo ya visto, pero que al final pueda sentirse algo nuevo en vez de una vil copia.

The world of cinema and originality, this is an endless topic, one without end, I have always believed that in cinema you can make references to other stories, make a tribute to works that have made us love the seventh art, these are things that have never bothered me and that I found pleasing, this for me serves when it is well done, when it is a reference but not a copy because I think you can create a new story of something already done, something already seen, but that in the end you can feel something new instead of a vile copy.
Infinite es un film de acción y ciencia ficción basada en la novela del 2009 "The Reincarnationist Papers"; en este film veremos un mundo en dónde existen seres que pueden recordar sus vidas pasadas, existe un grupo que cree que pueden usar todos estos recuerdos para ayudar a la humanidad y existe otro que piensa que lo mejor es poner fin a todo porque el mundo en sí no tiene futuro, esto crea una guerra larga que parece que está llegando a su fin, esto es por la creación de un artefacto que podrá terminar con toda la vida de la Tierra, esto hará que un creyente deba luchar en esta vida y la próxima para dar otro día más al mundo.
Infinite is an action and science fiction film based on the 2009 novel "The Reincarnationist Papers"; in this film we will see a world where there are beings who can remember their past lives, there is a group that believes they can use all these memories to help humanity and there is another group that thinks it is best to put an end to everything because the world itself has no future, this creates a long war that seems to be coming to an end, this is for the creation of an artifact that can end all life on Earth, this will make a believer must fight in this life and the next to give another day to the world.
Este film está dirigido por Antoine Fuqua, conocido por dirigir films como Training Day, Tears of the Sun, The Equalizer y su secuela; estos films tienen buenas escenas de acción, muy bien coordinadas y dirigidas, tal vez la protagonizada por Denzel Washington sea la que tenga un parecido a este film, hablo por la calidad de acción que debió tener este nuevo film, pero que en algunas escenas se pudo disfrutar de buenas escenas, en especial las del comienzo del film en una excelente secuencia de acción, lamentablemente ese tipo de escenas no se pudo volver a ver, por lo menos que fuera entretenida y emocionante, al contrario, las demás escenas, las pocas son extremadamente aburridas sin nada de emoción, creo que se desaprovechó una gran oportunidad para hacer un mejor trabajo.
Siempre he creído que una película perfecta debe tener una buena dirección, buena actuación de sus protagonistas y una buena historia tal vez se pueda obtener dos de tres de estas cosas o hasta una de tres, aquí tenemos 0 de tres, lamentablemente la historia como fue desarrollada es uno de los puntos negativos que tiene este film y es una lástima, por el tipo de historia de fantasía, acción y ciencia ficción creo que la base del enfrentamiento de dos grupos tratando uno de defender la humanidad y otro de destruirla, me parece bien, que tenga en un momento poderes sobrenaturales también, no le doy mucha importancia a esto, pero que no pueda crear algo original, ahí es donde existe el mayor problema porque está historia toma cosas de Matrix, Wanted, Highlander, Old Guard y las hace suyas, no es que el guionista Ian Shorr se sintiera influenciado por estos films sino que copio lo que sucede en estos films, personalmente cuando la estaba viendo pensaba que era un refrito de "Wanted" película protagonizada por Angelina Jolie y James McAvoy, mucho parecido, pero después alguien me dijo "Es igual a Matrix" y pensé que era cierto, no lo podía creer que estaba viendo otra película para nada original o que no supieron usar cosas ya hechas y tratar de hacer algo nuevo.
This film is directed by Antoine Fuqua, known for directing films like Training Day, Tears of the Sun, The Equalizer and its sequel; these films have good action scenes, very well coordinated and directed, maybe the one starring Denzel Washington is the one that has a resemblance to this film, I speak for the quality of action that should have this new film, but in some scenes you could enjoy good scenes, especially those at the beginning of the film in an excellent action sequence, unfortunately that kind of scenes could not be seen again, at least that was entertaining and exciting, on the contrary, the other scenes, the few are extremely boring without any emotion, I think it missed a great opportunity to do a better job.
I have always believed that a perfect movie must have a good direction, good acting of its protagonists and a good story maybe you can get two out of three of these things or even one out of three, here we have 0 out of three, unfortunately the story as it was developed is one of the negative points that this film has and it is a pity, for the type of story of fantasy, action and science fiction I think the basis of the confrontation of two groups trying one to defend humanity and another to destroy it, it seems good to me, that it has at one point supernatural powers too, I do not give much importance to this, but that it can't create something original, that's where the biggest problem exists because this story takes things from Matrix, Wanted, Highlander, Old Guard and makes them his own, it's not that the screenwriter Ian Shorr was influenced by these films but that he copied what happens in these films, Personally when I was watching it I thought it was a rehash of "Wanted" movie starring Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy, very similar, but then someone told me "It's just like the Matrix" and I thought it was true, I could not believe I was watching another movie not original at all or that they did not know how to use things already done and try to do something new.
Si hay algo peor que la historia, eso es la actuación de todos los actores que trabajaron en este proyecto, es algo lamentable, es malo, de lo peor que he visto, me enfocaré en sus dos protagonistas principales, comenzaré con Chiwetel Ejiofor quien interpreta a "Bathurst", un hombre que está cansado de reencarnar y que quiere un fin a todo, esa es su única misión en todas las vidas que ha tenido, primeramente pensaba que era un buen personaje, pero no, que mal trabajo de este actor, todo sobre actuado y aburrido, no me gustó y creo que pudo ser algo positivo en este film, pero no, es una total exageración que da risa y pena, una pobre imitación del "Agente Smith" de The Matrix, pero él no es el peor actor, ese "premio" se lo lleva Mark Wahlberg quien interpreta a "Evan McCauley", un hombre que desde muy joven se le ha diagnosticado problemas psiquiátricos y eso hace que no pueda tener una vida normal, siempre hace cosas que no puede explicar y justamente uno de esos trabajos desencadena una cacería de estos dos grupos para saber quién en realidad es y cuánto sabe; está descripción de su personaje es muy buena, a mí me gusta, pero lo que destruye este personaje e historia es la actuación de este actor, es la peor y no es que Mark sea alguien que destaque por ser un gran actor, pero no sé puede ir interpretando al mismo personaje a cada momento, creo que puedo hacer entrar a Wahlberg al club que pertenece The Rock y Vin Diesel en dónde siempre interpretan al mismo personaje en cualquier película que hayan trabajado, en realidad su trabajo en este film es lamentable y para mí debe ser el peor casting que han hecho, el peor.

Infinite es una película que nunca recomendaría a alguien, es de lo peor que he visto este año y no era lo que quería ver este fin de semana, es una gran decepción, mal casting tomando como decisión tener a Wahlberg como protagonista, mala dirección en las escenas de acción, mala historia con cosas que suceden en su acto final que no se entienden, creo que es lamentable que se pudo hacer un film estilo "veraniego" diversión, acción pura sin importar mucho la historia, solo mostrar cosas que puedas apreciar, pero nada de eso está en este film, absolutamente nada, es aburrida, malos personajes, mala acción más que nada en las escenas dónde deberían ser las mejores, en realidad es muy mala y si por casualidad tienen Paramount Plus, recomiendo que no la vean sin importar que tanta promoción pueda tener.
Infinite is a movie I would never recommend to anyone, it is one of the worst I have seen this year and it was not what I wanted to see this weekend, it is a big disappointment, bad casting taking as a decision to have Wahlberg as the main character, bad direction in the action scenes, bad story with things that happen in its final act that are not understood, I think it is unfortunate that it could have been made a "summer" style film fun, pure action without caring much about the story, just show things that you can appreciate, but none of that is in this film, absolutely nothing, it is boring, bad characters, bad action, mostly in the scenes where they should be the best, it is really very bad and if you have Paramount Plus, I recommend not to see it no matter how much promotion it may have.
