O rety, jakie to było dobre! Nie wiem, czy zbiło z pierwszego miejsca "Tamte święta", ale chyba razem z nim wspólnie umościło się na podium. Choć to zupełnie inna historia: mroczna, niepokojąca animacja, o paskudnym miasteczku, w którym płonie nienawiść, i jest szaroburo, ohydnie. I tam trafia główny bohater: listonosz, z misją rozkręcenia poczty na tym końcu świata. Tylko jak to zrobić, skoro tu nikt do nikogo nie pisze listów?
Oh my, it was so good! I don't know if it knocked "That Christmas" off the top spot, but I think it tied for first place. Although it's a completely different story: a dark, disturbing animation about a nasty town where hatred burns, and everything is gray and disgusting. And there ends up the main character: a postman, on a mission to get the post office going at this end of the world. But how can you do that when no one here writes letters to anyone?

Ale potem światło rozjaśnia mroki, świat staje się piękny i nadchodzą święta. I jest cudnie.

The beginning of this fairy tale is truly gloomy, even, in my opinion, heavy animation, which I absolutely cannot deny its quality – it's beautifully done and its purpose is to evoke anxiety. So much so that I wondered a bit if it was really a fairy tale for children. And if it was Christmas-themed – because for a long part of it, there's not a word about the holidays. But then light illuminates the darkness, the world becomes beautiful, and the holidays arrive. And it's wonderful.

I hope you are spending it with your families, and if you have some free time, you can be enjoying your favorite productions... well, this time I want to share with you a review of a very special movie, which has become one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time, today I will talk about the movie: Klaus. And I don't know how I missed this movie when it came out... I saw it last year, and wow, if any of you haven't seen it, you are really missing out on one of the most touching and visually stunning movies for the Christmas season, and I'm not exaggerating... when I started watching this movie I thought it would be another animated movie full of clichés, and that it would be very boring, but no, this is a completely different story.
First, the animation. Oh my god, the animation is gorgeous, seriously... it's beautiful 2D animation at its best, somehow they managed to make it look like 3D without losing that classic hand-drawn charm. They use a technique that has something to do with biometric lighting, but it makes everything feel so rich and textured... every frame looks like a painting, all the snowy landscapes, the warm glow of the candles, even the gray town of Smeerenburg... everything looks beautiful, and has its own characteristic style, seriously, my respects to Sergio Pablos and his team for this masterpiece. It's like they put all the love and care that the animation deserves in every second of the movie... I think the visual section is one of the best things that this story can offer you, it certainly has that touch that looks childish, but it's very, very deep... it reminds me a lot of the old animated series of my childhood.

Espero que estén pasándola con sus familias, y que si tienen algún tiempo libre, puedan estar disfrutando de sus producciones favoritas.. bueno, en esta ocasión les quiero compartir con ustedes una reseña de una película muy especial, que se ha convertido en una de mis películas favoritas navideñas de todos los tiempos, hoy les hablaré de la película: Klaus. Y es que no sé cómo pude perderme esta película cuando salió.. yo la vi el año pasado, y wow, si alguno de ustedes no la ha visto, de verdad se están perdiendo de una de las películas más conmovedoras y visualmente impresionantes para las temporadas navideñas, y no estoy exagerando.. yo cuando comencé a ver esta película pensé que sería otra película animada llena de clichés, y que sería muy aburrida, pero no, esta es una historia completamente diferente.
Primero, la animación. Oh Dios mío, la animación es preciosa, en serio.. es una animación hermosa 2D en su máximo esplendor, de alguna manera lograron que se vea como 3D sin perder ese encanto clásico que tiene el dibujar a mano. Usan una técnica que tiene algo que ver con la iluminación biométrica, pero hace que todo se sienta tan rico y con mucha textura.. cada fotograma parece una pintura, todos los paisajes nevados, el cálido resplandor de las velas, incluso el pueblo gris de Smeerenburg.. todo se ve hermoso, y tiene su propio estilo característico, en serio, mis respetos para Sergio Pablos y su equipo por esta obra maestra. Es como si hubieran puesto todo el amor y cuidado que la animación se merece en cada segundo de la película.. creo que el apartado visual es una de las mejores cosas que puede ofrecerte esta historia, sin duda tiene ese toque que parece infantil, pero es muy, muy profundo.. me recuerdo mucho a las series animadas antiguas de mi infancia.

Then we have our main character, Jesper, who is a complete smug at first.. over time, he ends up meeting Klaus, a mysterious and gigantic man who is a lonely carpenter.. from that point on, things slowly start to change, and the movie starts to build up this magical origin story of Santa Claus, and it does so in a rather unexpected way..
One of the things I liked most about this movie is how it took all those typical Christmas themes and reinvented them in a different way. You know how most Christmas movies talk about believing in the magic of Christmas or something like that? Well Klaus doesn't go that route, instead, it's about how small acts of kindness can turn into something much bigger.... There's one line that stuck with me, “One true act of kindness always inspires another” It's such a simple and powerful message.. and the way the film portrays it feels genuine and deserved. You will see how this miserable town slowly transforms into something better.. not because of some great miracle, but because people start doing little good things for each other, I found it really beautiful.
Ahora, en cuanto a la historia, esta trata sobre un joven rico mimado llamado Jesper, que básicamente es obligado por su padre a convertirse en un cartero en medio de la nada.. y cuando digo en medio de la nada, me refiero a un pueblo oscuro, alejado y helado, que está muy aislado, donde todos parecen estar deprimidos.. Es hilarante lo horrible que es este lugar al principio.. la gente literalmente se odia tanto que los niños ni siquiera van a la escuela porque sus padres no quieren que se mezcle con los hijos de sus "enemigos".. es tan miserable que no puedes evitar sentirte atraído. Luego tenemos a nuestro protagonista, Jesper, que es un completo engreído al principio.. con el tiempo, termina conociendo a Klaus, un hombre misterioso y gigantesco que es un carpintero solitario.. a partir de ese momento, las cosas empiezan a cambiar poco a poco, y la película comienza a construir esta mágica historia de origen de Santa Claus, y lo hace de una manera bastante inesperada..
Una de las cosas que más me gustaron de esta película es cómo tomó todos esos temas típicos navideños y los reinventó de una manera diferente. ¿Saben cómo la mayoría de películas de Navidad hablan de creer en la magia de la Navidad o algo así? Pues Klaus no va por ese camino, en cambio, trata sobre cómo los pequeños actos de bondad pueden convertirse en algo mucho más grande.. Hay una línea que se me quedó grabada: "Un verdadero acto de bondad siempre inspira a otro" Es un mensaje tan simple y poderoso.. y la manera en la que la película lo muestra se siente genuina y merecida. Verán cómo este pueblo miserable se transforma poco a poco en algo mejor.. no por un gran milagro, sino porque las personas empiezan a hacer pequeñas cosas buenas unas por otras, me pareció realmente hermoso.
Jesper's character arc is another highlight that this story has, at the beginning, he is just a simple selfish jerk that you love to hate...but as the story progresses, you see how he changes in a way that feels very natural..it's not one of those instant redemptions where suddenly the protagonist becomes a saint overnight, no, that doesn't happen here..his change is gradual and tied to his relationships with the people in the town, especially Klaus. Talking a bit about another character, I really liked how the story of Alva, the teacher, came about...she's great, at first, she's fed up with life in that town..obviously, who could blame her? But she has a dry humor and a lot more depth than she used.. and Klaus, wow, he is an amazing character, he is quiet and a little intimidating at first, but there is a deep sadness about him that makes him very intriguing....At the end, I just wanted to give him a hug.. because, who wouldn't want to hug someone so great who is going through something sad?
But well, talking a bit about other aspects of the movie, like the humor, I found it quite funny.. really, it can make you laugh more than once, Jesper's sarcastic comments, the ridiculous village feud and the moments of misunderstandings can be very funny. The pacing, as such, of the film I thought was perfect, there is a certain scene where Jesper tries to sell the idea of writing letters, and the way this escalates to pure comedy is pure gold, the humor never overshadows the emotional moments and that's very good, the balance is just right.
Now, I have to be honest, the movie didn't feel entirely perfect to me, there are a couple of clichés that do appear in this story, especially in the third act.. they are typical clichés, but I don't consider it to be all bad.. obviously it's a bit frustrating because the movie had been very original up to that point, but even then, I think the story handles these little clichés better than most movies and I feel it doesn't ruin the experience at all. Now, the villains, the leaders of the feuding families seemed very one dimensional to me.... They are funny in a cartoonish way, but they are not deep characters...I would have liked more depth to their relationships and actions, still, these are minor complaints that do not contrast with the great Christmas experience that this movie is.

El ritmo, como tal, de la película me pareció perfecto, hay cierta escena donde Jesper intenta vender la idea de escribir cartas, y la forma en la que esto escala a pura comedia es oro puro, el humor nunca eclipsa los momentos emocionales y eso es muy bueno, el equilibrio es justamente el adecuado.
Ahora, tengo que ser honesto, la película no me pareció del todo perfecta, hay un par de clichés que sí aparecen en esta historia, especialmente en el tercer acto.. son clichés típicos, pero no considero que sea del todo malo.. obviamente es un poco frustrante porque la película había sido muy original hasta ese punto, pero incluso entonces, creo que la historia maneja estos pequeños clichés mejor que la mayoría de películas y siento que no arruina para nada la experiencia. Ahora, los villanos, los líderes de las familias enfrentadas me parecieron muy unidimensionales.. Son graciosos de una manera caricaturesca, pero no son personajes profundos.. me hubiera gustado que profundizaran más en sus relaciones y acciones, aún así, estas son quejas menores que no contrastan con la gran experiencia navideña que es esta película.
One thing I didn't expect going into this story was how emotional it would be.. there are certain moments near the end that genuinely can make you cry.. I'm not going to spoil it, or anything, but let's just say it's a very nice reminder of how powerful human connections can be.. It's the kind of scene that stays with you for a long time, and just remembering it brings a little lump to your throat.... And I almost forgot, have to talk about the music, I find the soundtrack enchanting, especially the song that plays during the end credits.. it's a perfect choice, inspiring without being cheesy, it went straight to my playlist.. I've had it in my head ever since.
My final verdict would be that Klaus is an excellent movie, I give it a strong 9.5/10 rating. It's not just another Christmas story, it's a great story, period, the animation is stunning, the story and characters are heartwarming, and it's genuinely funny yet touching. Sure, it has a couple of predictable moments, but they are easy to overlook when the rest of the movie is that good... if you are looking for something to watch this Christmas season, do yourself a favor and give it a chance... it is ideal to watch with the family or with the little ones, you can learn a lot of new things and have fun in the process, believe me you won't regret it. Algo que no esperaba al entrar en esta historia era lo emocional que sería.. hay ciertos momentos cerca del final que genuinamente pueden hacerte llorar.. no voy a arruinarlo, ni nada, pero digamos que es un recordatorio muy lindo de cuán poderosos pueden ser las conexiones humanas.. Es el tipo de escena que se queda contigo mucho tiempo, y simplemente recordarla te hace un pequeño nudo en la garganta.. Y casi se me olvida, hay que hablar de la música, la banda sonora me parece encantadora, sobre todo la canción que suena durante los créditos finales.. es una elección perfecta, inspiradora sin ser cursi, fue directa a mi playlist.. la he tenido en la cabeza desde entonces.
Mi veredicto final sería que Klaus es una película excelente, yo le doy una fuerte calificación de 9.5/10. No es simplemente otra historia de navidad, es una gran historia, punto, la animación es impresionante, la historia y los personajes son conmovedores, y es genuinamente divertida y a la vez emotiva. Claro, tiene un par de momentos predecibles, pero son fáciles de pasar por alto cuando el resto de la película es así de buena.. si están buscando algo para ver en esta temporada navideña, hazte un favor y dale una oportunidad.. es ideal para verla en familia o con los más pequeños, pueden aprender muchas cosas nuevas y divertirse en el proceso, créanme que no se arrepentirán. Hola amigos amantes del cine y de esta hermosa época que es la navidad! ❤️ hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una linda película que sin duda vale la pena verla, ya que no es la típica película que estamos acostumbrados a ver, sino es bastante profunda y con un mensaje mucho más lindo, es decir, no es que las demás sean malas, hay muchas que amamos y otras que odiamos, todo es cuestión de gustos, pero esta es una historia diferente y arriesgada.
Esta película nos narra la historia desde 0 de los inicios de santa, pero de una manera distinta, contando una historia centrada en Jasper (ya les hablaré más adelante) es decir, no es la típica historia que santa es una persona mágica sino su magia se ve trasmitida a través de la bondad, demostrando así que una acción de corazón, desencadena acciones lindas para todos, la bondad crea más bondad.
Jasper es un joven de una familia acomodada, su padre es el encargado del servicio postal, y quiere que su hijo madure y tenga una noción importante de la vida, no solo ser un joven mimado que vive de la riqueza de su familia, le ha puesto varios empleos con sus privilegios y este termina arruinándolo todo a propósito, así que su padre como última opción decide enviarlo a Smeerensburg un pueblo que queda cerca del círculo polar, como reto de que abra una oficina postal y si logra enviar más de 6.000 cartas en menos de un año, puede regresar y vivir su vida como quiere, pero si no lo logra, será desheredado.

Jasper comienza a buscar la forma de enviar todas sus cartas, ve la oportunidad con un niño que se le cayo su dibujo y le enseña a cómo puede usar el correo, es aquí cuando entra Klaus a la trama,quien es un leñador bastante misterioso, quien ayuda a Jasper, primero de forma involuntaria pero poco a poco van creando una amistad, al mismo modo que el pueblo gracias a sus niños van mejorando la relación de ambos clanes.
Aquí la leyenda de Klaus se cuenta desde cero, de una manera más realista, todo comienza con el primer dibujo del niño, el cual Klaus obliga a Jasper a entregarle un regalo, creando que todos los niños se porten bien y envíen cartas al Sr Klaus, para recibir más regalos, pero dejan de lado todos los dibujos y comienzan a ir hasta a clases para aprender a escribir y así contarles lo bien que se están portando.
También se habla cómo surge su traje rojo, los renos y el trineo, el como tenía tantos juguetes para dar y porque los creaba inicialmente, A demás Klaus cuenta con una animación increíble, con una propuesta bastante arriesgada, echa con una animación tradicional que emplea la iluminación y las texturas volumétricas para crear una estética única.
Jasper tiene un desarrollo de personaje sumamente increíble, pasó de ser un joven mimado a ser el defensor de los ideales y las creencias de los niños, por fin olvidado lo material y superficial que lo había rodeado toda su vida, pero no es algo que sucede por magia, es algo que vemos poco a poco y a ir lo hace sentir bastante casual, no todo por “la magia del amor”.

Klaus is a film that surprises for its quality and originality. The animation is impressive, with a style reminiscent of Disney movies from the 90's, but with a modern and personal touch. The characters are very well designed. The film also stands out for its script, which is funny, intelligent and touching. The humor is varied, the story is original and creative, with a novel approach to the origin of Santa Claus, which is not based on any previous myth or legend, but invented from everyday and realistic elements.
Klaus es una película que sorprende por su calidad y originalidad. La película también tiene un mensaje profundo y positivo, que habla de la importancia de la generosidad, la amistad y la comunidad. Me encanto la evolución que tiene Jesper, que empieza siendo un detestable niño rico y a medida que va compartiendo con la gente del pueblo y los niños, su vida va teniendo un enfoque distinto a como era al empezar la película. Klaus es una película que merece la pena ver, tanto para niños como para adultos. Hola cinéfilos, un gran placer escribir para todos ustedes, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con todos ustedes mi opinión sobre una película navideña que es recomendada abiertamente en el podcast oficial de Movies & Tv Shows para la comunidad hispana. Es una producción que no había visto pero gracias a esa recomendación inmediatamente la coloqué dentro de una lista de películas para ver, siendo navidad debía verla ya que la historia me llamó mucho la atención. Quiero compartir con ustedes la película Klaus.
Esta es una producción del 2019 de origen español interesante y reconocida por distintas premiaciones, pero la verdad yo no la había visto, ni siquiera sabía que existía esta película, sin embargo, en esta fascinante comunidad conversamos con otros usuarios o leemos contenido que nos muestran producciones que no conocíamos, así ocurre con esta película al participar en el podcast de la comunidad por lo cual estoy totalmente agradecido.
Sinopsis:
Jesper es un cartero que es enviado a un frio pueblo donde los habitantes viven en peleas y riñas, al conocer a un juguetero al otro extremo de la isla, forman una alianza para repartir juguetes a los niños del pueblo, comenzando una leyenda que se trasmitiría a todo el mundo junto con la navidad.
Es una adaptación interesante sobre una de las leyendas mas importantes de la navidad, a pesar de convertirse en un fenómeno publicitario la esencia y la alegría que produce Santa Claus es significativa sobre todo en los más pequeños. Tener alguna idea o quizás una adaptación sobre como comienza esta leyenda es interesante desde mi punto de vista.
Animación
La animación es de buena calidad, con un estilo clásico, pero mejorando ciertos aspectos en la calidad de la imagen, me agrada este tipo de animación con un diseño simple pero bien adaptado a la historia que nos cuenta, además, visualmente es atractiva para los niños que es sin duda el público objetivo, a pesar de eso, como adultos podemos ver esta película y sentir emociones como un niño.
He expresado anteriormente que en la fecha de mi cumpleaños (21 de diciembre), normalmente veo una película navideña, en mi infancia trasmitían este día trasmitían adaptaciones sobre mi cuento navideño favorito (A Christmas Carol). Ese día decidí volver a esa tradición y no se me ocurrió una mejor opción que una película recomendada en el podcast oficial, sin embargo, este año era muy diferente a años anteriores.
A pesar de que soy padre desde hace poco más de 3 años, ahora es que mi hija se puede sentar junto a sus padres para disfrutar una película, evidentemente está todavía muy pequeña para entenderla, pero al menos ya sabe quien es ese señor grande con barbas blancas que le reparte juguetes a los niños. Este año y específicamente esta película Klaus, es la primera película navideña que vemos como familia, un momento especial junto a mi esposa y mi pequeña, así como lo hacia yo hace más de 20 años atrás ahora vuelvo a esa tradición, pero con mi propia familia a la cual les gusta las películas navideñas.
No hay navidad sin la felicidad de los más pequeños de la casa, ese es uno de los mensajes más hermosos que se instauran cada diciembre, aunque quizás podamos tocar algún tema materialista, los niños son inocentes y pueden ser felices aun jugando con cajas de cartón. Los padres tratamos de darle muchos regalos y en lo posible lo hacemos debido a que esa emoción que sienten por la sorpresa de la nochebuena es algo que se recuerda toda la vida.
Si es una película navideña me agrada que el mensaje sea moralista y que incite al espectador a la benevolencia, un mensaje sencillo pero que llegue al espectador independientemente de la edad, esto lo logra de buena manera esta película con un mensaje centrado en los niños.
Un Acto de Bondad Provoca Otro Acto de Bondad
Es el mensaje clarificado de la esencia de la navidad, en ese pueblo lleno de riñas, los niños comienzan a ver un sentido diferente e incluso se les incentiva el aprendizaje, además, van transformando este pueblo en constante guerra con su inocencia y la alegría de recibir los juguetes junto al árbol de navidad. Es un mensaje bastante claro en que los niños son un factor de cambio y que pueden cambiar las riñas con juegos y canciones. Trasformando la base de la sociedad, la familia y crear un entorno más amigable, alegre e inspirador.
En esta película la verdadera magia ocurre en los niños y esto me encanta de esta producción, como se transforman las vidas y un pueblo entero con estos actos de bondad dirigido a los niños, siendo padre de una pequeña niña que apenas está entendiendo estas festividades es que va adquiriendo cada vez más valor.
Película para Disfrutar en Familia
Sin dudas recomiendo esta película para disfrutarla junto a los más pequeños de la casa, siendo también atractiva para los adultos por esa estructura y mensaje sencillo que la película logra trasmitir adecuadamente. Para mí es una película especial ya que es la primera película navideña que logramos ver en familia de principio a fin, espero ver muchas películas navideñas con mi hija y mostrarle, además, aquellas que me cautivaron en mi infancia.
A pesar de que se incluye el tema material en esta película, pienso que la verdadera esencia de la navidad es la bondad y la felicidad que se pueda trasmitir de persona a persona, por supuesto los niños en su inocencia desean jugar con sus juguetes y la emoción que sienten a recibir este regalo es incluso mayor que el que reciben el día de su cumpleaños, pero en sí la felicidad y pasar buenos momentos en familia para mi son de lo más importante para esta época, momentos como el que he pasado con mi familia frente a la pantalla viendo esta película, son ese tipo de detalles que muchas veces se escapan y que en ocasiones no valoramos como deberíamos.
Ya en la víspera de navidad les deseo a todos una hermosa nochebuena recordándoles que la verdadera magia de la navidad está en los niños y en las personas que nos rodean. Un acto de bondad provocará otro acto de bondad, una frase que puede cambiar al mundo.

Hello cinephiles, a great pleasure to write for all of you, this time I want to share with you my opinion about a Christmas movie that is openly recommended in the official Movies & Tv Shows podcast for the Hispanic community. It is a production that I had not seen but thanks to that recommendation I immediately put it in a list of movies to watch, being Christmas I had to see it because the story caught my attention. I want to share with you the movie Klaus.
This is a 2019 production, but the truth is I had not seen it, I did not even know that this movie existed, however, in this fascinating community we talk with other users or read content that show us productions that we did not know, so it happens with this movie by participating in the community podcast for which I am totally grateful.
Synopsis:
Jesper is a letter carrier who is sent to a cold village where the inhabitants live in fights and quarrels, when he meets a toymaker at the other end of the island, they form an alliance to deliver toys to the children of the village, starting a legend that would be transmitted to the whole world along with Christmas.
It is an interesting adaptation of one of the most important legends of Christmas, despite becoming an advertising phenomenon, the essence and the joy that Santa Claus produces is significant, especially in the little ones. To have some idea or perhaps an adaptation of how this legend begins is interesting from my point of view.
Animation
The animation is of good quality, with a classic style, but improving certain aspects in the quality of the image, I like this type of animation with a simple design but well adapted to the story that tells us, in addition, visually it is attractive for children which is certainly the target audience, despite that, as adults we can see this movie and feel emotions like a child.
I have previously stated that on my birthday (December 21), I usually watch a Christmas movie, in my childhood they used to broadcast adaptations of my favorite Christmas story (A Christmas Carol) on this day. That day I decided to go back to that tradition and I couldn't think of a better option than a movie recommended in the official podcast, however, this year it was very different from previous years.
Even though I have been a father for a little more than 3 years, now my daughter can sit with her parents to enjoy a movie, obviously she is still too young to understand it, but at least she knows who is that big man with white beard that gives toys to the children. This year and specifically this movie Klaus, is the first Christmas movie that we watch as a family, a special moment with my wife and my little girl, just as I did more than 20 years ago now I return to that tradition, but with my own family who likes Christmas movies.
There is no Christmas without the happiness of the little ones of the house, that is one of the most beautiful messages that are established every December, although perhaps we can touch some materialistic theme, children are innocent and can be happy even playing with cardboard boxes. Parents try to give them many gifts and as much as possible we do it because the emotion they feel for the surprise of Christmas Eve is something that is remembered for a lifetime.
If it is a Christmas movie, I like the message to be moralistic and to incite the viewer to benevolence, a simple message but one that reaches the viewer regardless of age, this is achieved in a good way by this film with a message focused on children.
An Act of Kindness Prompts Another Act of Kindness
It is the clarified message of the essence of Christmas, in that town full of quarrels, the children begin to see a different meaning and they are even encouraged to learn, in addition, they are transforming this town in constant war with their innocence and the joy of receiving the toys next to the Christmas tree. It is a very clear message that children are a factor of change and that they can change the quarrels with games and songs. Transforming the basis of society, the family and creating a more friendly, joyful and inspiring environment.
In this film the real magic happens in the children and this is what I love about this production, how lives and an entire town are transformed with these acts of kindness directed to the children, being the father of a little girl who is just understanding these festivities is that she is acquiring more and more value.
Movie to Enjoy with the Family
Without a doubt I recommend this movie to enjoy it with the little ones of the house, being also attractive for adults because of its structure and simple message that the movie manages to transmit adequately. For me it is a special movie because it is the first Christmas movie that we managed to watch as a family from beginning to end, I hope to see many Christmas movies with my daughter and show her, in addition, those that captivated me in my childhood.
Although the material theme is included in this film, I think that the true essence of Christmas is the kindness and happiness that can be transmitted from person to person, of course children in their innocence want to play with their toys and the excitement they feel when they receive this gift is even greater than the one they receive on their birthday, but in itself the happiness and spending good times with family for me are the most important for this time, moments like the one I have spent with my family in front of the screen watching this movie, are that kind of details that often escape and sometimes we do not value as we should.

Klaus is a Spanish animated film, was released in 2019 and was written and directed by Sergio Pablos. As previously mentioned the film consists of a twist on the classic tale of Santa Claus, the story tells the life of Jesper a postman who is relocated to an island in the polar circle against his will with the mission of sending a certain amount of letters to be able to return to his well-off life with all his privileges. El problema es que en dicha isla hay un gran conflicto entre dos clanes, pero la situación cambiara cuando Jesper conozca a Klaus que es un carpintero.

The construction of the world is very interesting since the conflict between both clans despite being quite cliché is very well achieved, the different events that we all know about Christmas are presented differently and are pleasant in general. The film presents simple but very pleasant things in general.
La construcción de mundo es muy interesante puesto que el conflicto entre ambos clanes pese a ser bastante cliché se encuentra muy bien logrado, los diferentes acontecimientos que ya todos conocemos sobre la navidad son presentados de forma distinta y son agradables en general. La película presenta cosas sencillas pero muy agradables en general.
The plot is also very captivating, from good to first I will say that everything is quite simple and basic but it is also a very pleasant film, it is the typical story that shows how in Christmas times you should promote that atmosphere of peace and healthy coexistence. As I said before the story borders on the generic but what saves it is the fact that it tells things in a somewhat different way, giving a rather pleasant twist to the conventional story.
La trama también es muy atrapante, de buenas a primeras diré que todo es bastante simple y básico pero igualmente es un filme muy agradable, es la típica historia que muestra como en épocas de navidad se debe fomentar ese ambiente de paz y de sana convivencia. Como dije antes la historia roza lo genérico pero lo que la salva es el hecho de que cuenta las cosas de una forma un tanto diferente, dándole un giro bastante agradable a la historia convencional.
The characters are unfortunately not the big deal, being that one of the most interesting is Klaus and does not delve excessively into his story although it is stated that it is quite tragic. Jesper for his part is funny but he is the typical well-to-do boy who must learn to value hard work being a concept that is not new or anything that resembles it. The rest of the characters are nice and so on but they only serve as means to advance the plot without having any kind of background or depth in these, being that most are reactive and not active in making things happen.
Los personajes desgraciadamente no son la gran cosa, siendo que uno de los más interesantes es Klaus y no se profundiza exageradamente en su historia pese a que se plantea que es bastante trágica. Jesper por su parte hace gracia pero es el típico chico acomodado que debe aprender a valorar el trabajo duro siendo un concepto que no es nuevo ni nada que se le asemeje. El resto de personajes son agradables y demás pero solo fungen como medios para hacer avanzar la trama sin haber ninguna clase de trasfondo ni profundidad en estos, siendo que la mayoría son reactivos y no activos en hacer que sucedan las cosas.
Klaus is a very nice and enjoyable animated film, it is basic and simple since it innovates very little in the subject on which it is based but despite this it is a film that you can like without any problem. For all the above mentioned deserves a rating of 3.5 stars out of 7, it is not the best Christmas movie but in the same way it is one of those films that must be seen at this time.
Klaus es una película animada muy linda y disfrutable, es básica y simple puesto que innova muy poco en el tema en que se basa pero pese a ello es una cinta que puede gustar sin ninguna clase de problema. Por todo lo anterior mencionado merece una calificación de 3,5 estrellas de 7, no es la mejor película navideña pero de igual forma es una de esas películas que deben verse en estas fechas.

Klaus es un leñador que vive a las afueras del pueblo solo, un gigante robusto de barba que vive haciendo casa de pájaros en los árboles, cuando estos dos personaje de encuentran (Jesper/Klaus), ocurre algo mágico y la fusión de ambos hace que las cosas cambien en el pueblo, a través de los niños Jasper crea una leyenda de un ser que todo lo ve y que por lo tanto los niños para recibir regalos de este ser mágico deben ser buenos, el pueblo empieza a cambiar y la gente comenzó hacer amable uno con otros olvidando sus odios, los niños se comportaban bien y hacían sus deberes para tener méritos para obtener sus regalos.

Una de las cosas más hermosas de esta película que es del 2019 es que a lo largo de la película nos muestra los valores de la amistad, lealtad, el amor y sobre todo el poder que tiene hacer una buena acción desinteresada o lo que muchas veces hoy día llamamos un favor que se puede convertir en una cadena de favores cuando todos hacemos algo bueno por otros sin esperar nada a cambio solo la satisfacción de haberlo hecho. Yesterday afternoon I was on the Netflix platform, looking for a series or movie that caught my attention, as we are already in the Christmas season I decided to look for a movie or series loaded with everything that symbolizes or represents Christmas, since for many as well as for me is one of my favorite times of the year, and if I saw several very striking at first instance, but this one in particular was present, which at its most specific time in 2019, I knew it had a significant impact for others and was being acclaimed with great animation and emotional charges, in those times I could not see it simply because it did not capture my attention so much at that time, even in spite of such positive comments and reviews so once and for all I decided to see it.
The truth, if I am completely honest with my heart in my hand (metaphorically speaking of course) I had a good time in which any film regardless of what it is, has made me cry so many times, I admit I am a somewhat sentimental or emotional individual and this time this film apparently gave a very significant impact on me, the plot is simplistic but is so loaded with special moments and a very good collective growth, I will talk and detail with part of this later, so ladies and gentlemen this time I gladly bring you Klaus.
Ayer en la tarde me encontraba en la plataforma de Netflix, buscando alguna serie o película que llamara mi atención, como ya estamos en épocas decembrinas decidí buscar alguna película o serie cargada con todo lo que simboliza o representa la navidad, ya que para muchos así como para mi es una de mis épocas favoritas de todo el año, y si vi varias muy llamativas a primera instancia, pero estaba presente esta en particular, que en su momento más especifico en el 2019, sabia que tuvo un impacto significativo para otros y estaba siendo aclamada con una gran animación y cargas emocionales, en aquellos tiempos no pude verla simplemente porque no capto tanto mi atención en aquel momento, incluso a pesar de tales comentarios y criticas positivas así que de una vez por todas me decidí a verla.
La verdad, si les soy completamente honestos con el corazón en la mano (metafóricamente hablando claro) tenía un buen tiempo en el cual alguna película independientemente de cuál sea, me haya hecho llorar tantas veces, lo admito soy un individuo un tanto sentimental o emocional y en esta ocasión este largometraje al parecer dio un impacto muy significativo en mí, la trama es simplista pero esta tan cargada de momentos especiales y un crecimiento colectivo muy bueno, hablare y detallare con parte esto más adelante, así que damas y caballeros esta vez con gusto les traigo a Klaus.

Synopsis / Sinopsis
Our plot focuses on the life of Jasper a young man with a haughty and pretentious attitude, behavior which was fed by a very affluent lifestyle by his family, his father seeing such behavior decides to correct it by introducing him to the family business being a mail server, but due to Jasper's lack of interest in the job, his father makes a more severe decision to send him to Smeerenburg, a very remote village on a remote island of the polar circle, so that he can mature and grow up as he should, and in that village his life will change dramatically.
Nuestra trama se enfoca en la vida de Jasper un joven con una actitud soberbia y pretenciosa, conducta la cual fue alimentada por un estilo de vida muy acomodado por parte de su familia, su padre al ver tal conducta decide corregirlo introduciéndolo al negocio de la familia siendo un servidor de correo, un cartero, pero debido al pésimo y poco interés por Jasper en el oficio, su padre toma una decisión más severa de enviarlo a Smeerenburg un pueblo muy alejado en una remota isla del círculo polar, para que madure y crezca como es debido, y en tal pueblo su vida cambiara rotundamente.

Very well I will go part by part, to specify each notorious aspect of this film (and avoid not feeling so emotional as I continue) to be able to give you a more structured opinion to this beautiful feature film, feature film that personally regardless of what is believed should have won such a nomination in 2019 at the Oscar awards and not Toy Story, so I said it and I do not regret it the truth, it deserves it, very well let's start with the first section with the animation.
The animation in this case is beautiful to the max, at the beginning of the film I was very impressed by the fluidity of it in various scenes, both in the demeanor and design of so many characters, as well as the variety of the same environment in various scenes, especially when the plot shows that significant change of such environment already mentioned, and then in the development of the plot we can see such evolution even in their characters, I think for me it was something very beautiful the truth, being able to notice a before and after such a drastic change in general in the place where Jasper is and makes such a noticeable impact along with Klaus as a character.
Now let's talk about the characters I admit that at the beginning the personality and presence of our protagonist I repudiated it a little bit the truth, as well as certain characters like the sarcasm of the captain of the ship and one or another character in the village, but the laughter was not lacking before the situations in which Jasper developed in the village, but as the plot developed and then Klaus is introduced as a character, who by the way is a great character with a very nostalgic personal background, being also the development that the teacher of the village had and then the background that each one takes, as well as the genuine feeling of doing what they do and how that grows and transcends with a generosity that takes more weight and presence, the truth was something very nice and quite emotional to see, I feel that each one had such a significant role and see the growth of several was very rewarding.
The plot is quite simple, it doesn't have to be something very complex or difficult, but the emotional charge that each personal life and each action carries in itself as a chain effect makes it so special. Each person fed with this idea of resentment or hatred to others or each disappointment eh impotence is what makes it unique, as we can see how that change is present little by little in the lives of those in that town and see that transition is magnificent, and I will not do spoilers of the end or anything but it was where I cried the most and makes you feel or in my case made me feel nostalgic with an emptiness but also with a reflection on time and how we should take advantage of it and treasure what we do and build with love, I highly recommend you give it a chance and watch it, as I mentioned at the beginning it is on Netflix available and I think we are in the best dates to enjoy it and in Klaus' words "A true act of generosity, always provokes another. Muy bien iré parte por parte, para especificar cada aspecto notorio de esta película (y evitar no sentirme tan emocional a medida de que continúe) para poder brindarles una opinión mas estructurada ante esta hermoso largometraje, largometraje que en lo personal independientemente de lo que se crea debió ganar tal nominación en el 2019 en los premios Oscar y no Toy Story, así es lo dije y no me arrepiento de ello la verdad, se lo merece, muy bien comencemos con el primer apartado con la animación.
La animación en este caso es bellísima a más no poder, al comienzo de la película me llamo mucho la atención la fluidez de la misma en diversas escenas, tanto en el porte y el diseño de tantos personajes, así como en el ambiente la variedad del mismo en diversas escenas, principalmente cuando en la trama se nota ese cambio significativo de tal ambiente ya mencionado, y luego en el desarrollo de la trama podemos ver dicha evolución incluso en sus personajes, creo que para mí fue algo muy hermoso la verdad, pudiéndose notar un antes y después de un cambio tan drástico en general en el lugar donde se encuentra Jasper y hace un impacto tan notorio junto a Klaus como personaje.
Ahora hablemos de los personajes admito que al comienzo la personalidad y presencia de nuestro protagonista la repudiaba un poco la verdad, así como de ciertos personajes como el sarcasmo del capitán del barco y uno que otro personaje en la villa, pero las risas no faltaron ante las situaciones en las cuales Jasper se desenvolvió en el pueblo, pero a medida de que la trama se desarrollaba y luego se introduce a Klaus como personaje, que por cierto es un gran personaje con un trasfondo personal muy nostálgico, estando también el desarrollo que tuvo la maestra de la villa y luego el trasfondo que toma cada uno, así como el sentimiento genuino de hacer lo que hacen y como eso crece y trasciende con una generosidad que toma más peso y presencia, la verdad fue algo muy bonito y bastante emotivo de ver, siento que cada uno tuvo un papel tan significativo y ver el crecimiento de varios fue muy gratificante.
La trama es bastante simple, no tiene que ser algo muy complejo o difícil, pero la carga emocional que conlleva en si cada vida personal y cada acción como un efecto en cadena lo hace tan especial. Cada persona alimentada con esta idea de rencor u odio al prójimo o cada decepción eh impotencia es lo que la hace única, ya que podemos ver cómo está presente ese cambio de a poco en la vida de aquellos en dicho pueblo y ver esa transición es magnífico, y no hare spoilers del final ni nada pero fue donde más llore y te hace sentir o en mi caso me hizo sentir nostálgico con un vacio pero también con una reflexión sobre el tiempo y el cómo debemos aprovecharlo y atesorar lo que hacemos y construimos con amor, les recomiendo encarecidamente que le den una oportunidad y la vean, como mocione al comienzo se encuentra en Netflix disponible y creo que estamos en las mejores fechas para poder disfrutarla y en palabras de Klaus "Un verdadero acto de generosidad, siempre provoca otro." gracias por llegar hasta aquí, hasta la próxima.

Halloween is over, Christmas is approaching and it is almost inevitable to find dozens of films that seek to replicate (with more or less success) his spirit to make us warm.
Although I do not like to act elitist about it, I feel that the Christmas classics are usually stuck in the past. Let's think about movies like It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, or a little more contemporary films that play with comedy elements like Santa Clause, Home Alone or the mediocre but fun Jingle All The Way ... it's as if this list had frozen in time for a few years and could hardly be updated.
Rarely does a modern film successfully capture this Christmas energy and atmosphere, which is why I feel that Klaus is so special.
Presented as a love letter to traditional animation, intelligently mixing three-dimensional rendering technologies with 2D textures, Klaus is a 2019 film directed by Sergio Pablos for Netflix is where we are told a story worthy of a good Disney classic, presenting us a quite refreshing new angle to the legend of Santa Claus with subtlety and a lot of Christmas warmth.
Klaus begins by telling us the story of Jasper, a young, capricious, spoiled and neglected boy who is sent to a cold, aggressive and almost abandoned island to learn his lesson from him working as a postman. Klaus ends up producing one of the most interesting and enjoyable “Santa Claus” origins out there, even though a lot of creative liberties are taken in the process. We find ourselves in front of a moving story where each character exudes personality, something that is enhanced by the brilliant animation style that coexists with a very successful cast to bring them to life, in Klaus the feeling of Christmas nostalgia is immediate and we feel to allow us to connect with our most innocent side.
In essence, Klaus speaks to us about humility and the value that exists in sharing, leaving individualism behind and coming together as a society to improve our quality of life, using children as an inexhaustible source of kindness.
Jasper progressively learns to leave behind his whim from him, those actions that arose selfishly end up being carried out with the good of the entire town of Smeerenburgs in mind, there is evolution in each of his characters, narrative arcs that develop organically and reach a satisfying place.
Klaus has it all, a beautiful animation, good comedy, empathetic characters and a simple but well executed concept ... with only a couple of years of being released it is already a tradition in my home, I just invite you to do the same.

Halloween terminó, la navidad se acerca y es casi inevitable encontrarse con decenas de películas que buscan replicar (Con más o menos éxito) su espíritu para hacernos entrar en calor.
Aunque no me gusta actuar elitista al respecto siento que los clásicos de navidad suelen estar estancados en el pasado. Pensemos en películas como It’s a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, o cintas un poco más contemporáneas que juegan con elementos de comedia como Santa Clause, Home Alone o la mediocre pero divertida Jingle All The Way… es como si está lista se hubiese congelado en el tiempo desde hace unos años y difícilmente pudiese actualizarse.
Rara vez una película moderna logra captar con éxito esta energía y atmósfera navideña, por eso mismo siento que Klaus es tan especial.
Presentada como una carta de amor a la animación tradicional mezclando de forma inteligente tecnologías de renderizado tridimensionales con texturas en 2D, Klaus es un filme 2019 dirigido por Sergio Pablos para Netflix es donde se nos narra una historia digna de un buen clásico de Disney, presentándonos un nuevo ángulo bastante refrescante a la leyenda de Santa Claus con sutileza y mucha calidez navideña.
Klaus arranca narrándonos la historia de Jasper, un chico joven, caprichoso, malcriado y descuidado que es enviado a una isla fría, agresiva y casi abandonada para que aprenda su lección trabajando como cartero. En Klaus se termina produciendo uno de los orígenes de “Santa Claus” más interesantes y agradables que existen, aunque se tomen muchísimas libertades creativas en el proceso. Nos encontramos frente a una historia conmovedora en donde cada personaje destila personalidad, algo que se ve repotenciado por el brillante estilo de animación que coexiste con un cast muy acertado para llevarlos a la vida, en Klaus la sensación de nostalgia navideña es inmediata y nos va a permitir conectar con nuestro lado más inocente.
En esencia, Klaus nos habla sobre la humildad y el valor que existe en compartir, dejar atrás el individualismo y unirnos como sociedad para mejorar nuestra calidad de vida, usando a los niños como una fuente inagotable de bondad.
Jasper progresivamente aprende a dejar atrás su capricho, aquellas acciones que surgieron de forma egoísta terminan siendo realizadas con el bien de todo el pueblo de Smeerenburgs en mente, existe evolución en cada uno de sus personajes, arcos narrativos que de desarrollan orgánicamente y llegan a un lugar satisfactorio.
Klaus lo tiene todo, una hermosa animación, buena comedia, personajes empáticos y un concepto simple pero bien ejecutado… con solo un par de años de haberse estrenado ya es una tradición en mi hogar, yo solo los invito a que hagan lo mismo.

When I was a kid I remember spending my Christmas mornings watching all the different Christmas animated movies and cartoons on the TV. What characterizes these productions is the happy stories and positive messages they share with the viewer, which are usually children.
I had read since its release that Klaus was one of the best animated movies of the year, so I was quite excited to watch it even though I am not a kid anymore. It is a movie about not only the origins of the habit to give gifts on Christmas but also about the figure of Santa Klaus.
The movie is meant to be watched with the family, especially if there are kids. The movie has an extremely positive message and by looking at the poster everyone can have a sense of the basic premise of the movie. Notice the different adults from left to right who seem to hate each other, and below in the ground notice the happy kids from both sides giving their letters to a mailman.
This mailman, you see, is the main character of the entire story, it is not Santa. I don't want to spoil the story so what I can only share about the story is that the mailman starts working in some far away almost isolated place where people are very hostile. The frustration of having to live here drives the mailman to find as my work as he can so he can save money and move out. In the end, all of this ends up changing this place from a toxic one to a healthy and happy one. The same kind of happens with the mailman himself.
This is a feel-good movie with a happy and touching ending which I particularly loved. In the story we have several people or groups that have issues in their lives: the mailman, the people living in this remote town and Klaus. By the end of the movie, every one of them have improved as a person and have found a level of empathy and happiness that they so very needed.
The animations are of good quality and there are several funny or cute moments. All of this makes this film a perfect choice for this time of the year.
