Oh yes my friends, the film that brings us together today is titled “Krampus” which is a perfect combination of everything I just mentioned. Oh si mis amigos, el filme que hoy nos reúne se titula “Krampus” que es una combinación perfecta de todo lo que acabo de mencionar. Sin más que agregar prepárense para enfrentar a un demonio antiguo pues estamos por comenzar.

This section suffers from the same thing as the previous one, it doesn't really have any element that makes it stand out in any way, both the settings and the camera angles are quite boring in general. The fantastic elements it uses trying to generate terror are quite pathetic and boring, at the same time, the effects are quite wooden and ugly, a film from before 2000 could easily surpass it.
Este apartado sufre lo mismo que el anterior, no tiene realmente algún elemento que lo haga destacar de alguna forma, tanto los escenarios como los ángulos de cámara son bastante aburridos en general. The plot is quite strange, I say the above because the fact of combining comedy with horror does not work out in the best way, and it generates a strange result in which no kind of grace or even an iota of fear is generated. There is not much to highlight narratively, the film has quite a lot of potential in terms of the mythology on which it is based but this is not used in the best way, only things happen for which there is only one very poor explanation, the twists plots are not the most complex in the world and even border on boring and predictable. The film lasts just over an hour and a half, and even with that, I consider it to be too much, its premise is quite simple and with 30 minutes less it could have easily been developed in the same way.
La trama es bastante extraña, lo anterior lo digo porque el hecho de combinar la comedia con el terror no resulta de la mejor forma, siendo que se genera un resultado extraño en el que no se genera ninguna clase de gracia ni un ápice de miedo. No hay mucho que destacar narrativamente, el filme cuenta con un potencial bastante grande en cuanto a la mitología en la que se encuentra basada pero esta no es utilizada de la mejor forma, solo suceden cosas para las cuales solo hay una explicación paupérrima, los giros argumentales no son los más complejos del mundo e incluso rozan lo aburrido y predecible. La cinta dura poco más de hora y media, y, aun con esas, considero que es demasiado, su premisa es bastante simple y con 30 minutos menos fácilmente pudo haberse desarrollado de igual forma.

Krampus is the first Christmas film that I have seen with a certain twist that goes beyond the classic, however, it is quite disastrous in all its sections and wastes all the opportunities offered by being based on a legend as famous as that of the devil. Christmas. It is for all the above that it deserves 1.5 stars out of 7, the idea was good but the execution leaves a lot to be desired, I will continue looking for similar films until I find a more interesting one.
Krampus es el primer filme navideño que he visto con cierto giro que se sale de lo clásico, no obstante, es bastante nefasto en todos sus apartados y desaprovecha todas las oportunidades que ofrecía el hecho de basarse en una leyenda tan famosa como la del demonio de la navidad. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 1.5 estrellas de 7, la idea era buena pero la ejecución deja mucho que desear, seguiré buscando filmes similares hasta dar con uno más interesante.
