Hablemos del cast de esta película, contamos con un reparto bastante grande pero nuestros principales protagonistas de esta historia son Tori Collette quien interpreta a Sarah Engel, Adam Scott en el papel de Tom Engel y Emjay Anthony quien interpreta a Max Engel. Una familia que decide celebrar la navidad como normalmente lo hacen, sin embargo, la hermana de Sarah junto a su esposo y sus hijas viajan hasta su hogar donde pretenden tener una navidad con toda la familia pero lo que no saben es que ambas familias disfuncionales van a pasar la última navidad de sus vidas completamente aterrorizados por un demonio ancestral.
Let's talk about the cast of this movie, we have a pretty big cast but our main protagonists of this story are Tori Collette who plays Sarah Engel, Adam Scott in the role of Tom Engel and Emjay Anthony who plays Max Engel. A family that decides to celebrate Christmas as they normally do, however, Sarah's sister along with her husband and daughters travel to their home where they intend to have a Christmas with the whole family but what they do not know is that both dysfunctional families are going to spend the last Christmas of their lives completely terrorized by an ancestral demon.

Hace un tiempo que tenía está película guardada para el momento en el que pudiera por fin verla y hace poco pude hacerlo, me sorprendió bastante porque pensaba que iba a ser mala a pesar de que no tiene muy buena escenografía hay que darle el crédito que ciertas tomas quedaron escalofriantes. Me pareció también bastante interesante la historia de este podríamos llamarlo criptido debido a que forma parte de las leyendas en países como Alemania, Francia, Italia, Eslovenia, Suecia, entre otros. Su historia nace como de la contra parte de papá Noel y éste en vez de brindarnos regalos por ser buenos nos castiga por hacer todo lo contrario, por generar el odio y resentimiento en estas fechas de amor y unión.
For some time I had this movie saved for the moment when I could finally see it and recently I could do it, I was quite surprised because I thought it was going to be bad even though it does not have very good scenery you have to give credit that certain shots were creepy. I also found the story of this cryptid quite interesting because it is part of the legends in countries like Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia, Sweden, among others. His story is born as a counterpart of Santa Claus and instead of giving us gifts for being good, he punishes us for doing the opposite, for generating hatred and resentment in these dates of love and union.
Una historia que cambiaría nuestra perspectiva si solo conociéramos más sobre este demonio navideño. Está película nos da una lección de que a pesar de las diferencias debemos permanecer unidos y no perder la fe por la navidad como ocurre con nuestro pequeño protagonista, el cual al ver a su familia dividida entre rencores y resentimientos va perdiendo poco a poco la fe por la navidad incluso cuando su abuela lo incentivaba a evitar que ésta llama de fe se apagara. Para salvar la vida de sus familiares deben unir fuerzas con su familia y olvidar sus diferencias y así poder derrotar al monstruo conocido como el Krampus. Sin embargo, será demasiado tarde para volver a creer en el poder de la navidad?

Una película que te lleva a reflexionar y aún así te siembra el miedo a perder la fe por la navidad, nos enseña lo importante que es para los niños lo que ocurre a su alrededor y como estos siempre ven lo que está ocurriendo y como ellos son los que tienen entusiasmo cuando llegan estas fechas ya que las asocian con completa felicidad y amor. A pesar de que hubieron ciertas cosas en la película que no me gustaban siento que el final fue completamente inesperado, también destacó que los acompañantes de el Krampus estuvieron increíblemente elaborados y que de verdad generaban un sentimiento de miedo al verlos. Podría decir que la película al principio me parecía algo tonta, con un poco de comedia pero que poco a poco todo se fuera convirtiendo en algo terrorífico fue satisfactorio.
A movie that makes you reflect and still makes you fear to lose faith in Christmas, it teaches us how important it is for children what happens around them and how they always see what is happening and how they are the ones who are enthusiastic when these dates arrive because they associate them with complete happiness and love. Although there were certain things in the movie that I didn't like I feel that the ending was completely unexpected, it also highlighted that the Krampus' companions were incredibly elaborate and that they really generated a feeling of fear when seeing them. I could say that the movie seemed a little silly at the beginning, with a little bit of comedy but that little by little everything was turning into something terrifying was satisfying.
