One of the universal torments that exists is to grow old, everything seems to be condemned to this, to suffer its sufferings and ailments that seem to be the punishments of the sins we have committed which in many cases become tortures to leave us in the most absolute disability and depending on others to stay alive.
La Abuela is a Horror film that you can enjoy on Amazon Prime that justly represents those sufferings and mixed feelings that manages to convey the horror of how real it is to grow old seasoned with evil magic, before continuing I want to leave a question which is what are those elements that you fear most in your life and you can answer me in comments.
In my case one of the things I fear the most is not being able to fend for myself because what would happen if you lose your legs or fall into dementia to mention some elements that disable people, are things that I think no one wants to suffer but there are in the lives of people until it can touch us.
Uno de los tormentos universales que existe es envejecer, todo pareciera estar condenado a esto, a padecer sus sufrimientos y achaques que parecieran ser los castigos de los pecados que hemos cometido los cuales en muchos casos se vuelven torturas al dejarnos en la más absoluta invalidez y dependiendo de otros para poder seguir vivo.
La Abuela es un film de Terror que puedes disfrutar en Amazon Prime que justamente representa esos padecimientos y sentimientos encontrados que logra transmitir el horror de lo real que es envejecer aderezado con magia maligna, antes de continuar quiero dejar una pregunta la cual es cuales son esos elementos que temes más en tu vida y que puedes contestarme en comentarios.
En mi caso uno de los que más temo es no poder valerme por mi mismo porque que pasaría si pierdes las piernas o caes en demencia por mencionar algunos elementos que incapacitan a las personas, son cosas que pienso nadie quiere padecer pero allí están en la vida de las personas hasta que nos puede tocar a nosotros.

- The Terror is in the real and not in the fantastic fireworks
The film is divided into three acts where in the second is where I perceive the greatest terror which are the real things that many of us do or have done to care for a loved one who can no longer fend for themselves.
It is between the first and second act where I most identify with the young protagonist because at this moment I am still young and I had to take care of my dad when he could no longer do it, so seeing those everyday scenes like simply wiping your butt after going to the bathroom becomes something of great terror when you can no longer do it by yourself, like something that before calmly to the person and now to see the discomfort, suffering and sadness of the person because he can no longer control it.
Also for a moment I felt identified with La Abuela because my hip is not very well and about six months ago I could not walk well and I had to be lying down all the time, I needed help to be able to bathe and I remember the moment when I thought if from now on I had to be like that always and I was very afraid and saddened by that thought. Fortunately with rest I returned to normal but what happens to those who suffer irrecoverable events or illnesses.
Les dejo el trailer para animarles a ver este film y tengan una idea de la atmosfera que le identifica para así mencionar esos aspectos más positivos que son muchos en la película y aquellos detalles que considero se pudieron mejorar, note que no tiene solidas calificaciones altas pero no se dejen llevar por eso porque la historia es de acero en cuanto a la coherencia de lo que quiere contarnos.
- El Terror esta en lo real y no en los fuegos artificiales fantásticos
El film se divide en tres actos donde en el segundo es donde percibo el mayor terror que son las cosas reales que muchos hacemos o hemos hecho para cuidar un ser querido que ya no puede valerse por sí mismo.
Es entre el primero y segundo acto donde más me identifico con su joven protagonista porque en este momento aún estoy digamos que joven y tuve que cuidar de mi papa cuando el ya no podía hacerlo, entonces ver esas escenas cotidianas como simplemente limpiarse el trasero luego de ir al baño se vuelve algo de mucho terror cuando ya no puedes hacerlo por ti mismo, el como algo que antes tranquilamente hacia la persona y ahora el ver la incomodidad, sufrimiento y tristeza de la persona porque ya no puede controlarlo.
También por un momento me sentí identificado con La Abuela porque mi cadera no está muy bien y hace aproximadamente seis meses no podía caminar bien y tenía que estar acostado siempre, necesite ayuda para poder bañarme y recuerdo el momento en que pensé si de ahora en adelante tenía que ser así siempre y me dio mucho miedo y tristeza ese pensamiento. Afortunadamente con reposo volví a la normalidad pero que pasa en aquellos que sufren eventos o enfermedades irrecuperables.
- The solidity of its story in that Third Act
Maybe the reason why it doesn't have good numbers is because the beginning is too real and people love fantasies and fireworks but I consider that this story has it because when we leave those real scenes that were in my case the ones I felt more identified with, it turns out that the film through her character of La Abuela played by Vera Valdez clearly gives us that fantastic element that has been as crumbs in the film from the beginning and that meshes everything.
My greatest sensation in the third act was amazement, I liked what I was told, I understood the magic that surrounds La Abuela and her intention is left to free interpretation.
In my case I see a character who fears what we all fear which is death and who longs for what we all long for which is youth, put these two things together plus the magic and what I see is a very good horror story.
- La Solidez de su historia en ese Tercer Acto
Quizá la razón por la que no tiene buenos números es porque el principio es demasiado real y la gente ama son las fantasías y fuegos artificiales pero considero que esta historia lo tiene porque cuando salimos de esas escenas reales que fueron en mi caso con las que más me sentí identificado, resulta que el film a través de su personaje de La Abuela interpretado por Vera Valdez está claro que nos da ese elemento fantástico que ha estado como migajas en el film desde el principio y que engrana todo.
Mi mayor sensación en el tercer acto fue asombro, me agrado lo que me contaron, entendí la magia que envuelve a La Abuela y su intención queda a libre interpretación.
En mi caso veo un personaje que teme a lo que todos tememos que es la muerte y que añora lo que todos añoramos que es la juventud, unes estas dos cosas más la magia y yo lo que veo es una muy buena historia de terror.

- I missed to see more evil on the part of the young protagonist
This is the most solid aspect to criticize and that would have enriched the story because we are given a young woman with many good feelings, too many for my taste and in reality people are not quite like that because many hate old age and even wish the death of that being to get out of that burden, I think a little evil in his intention but that was demonstrated, that we were seen with forcefulness, was added a better dynamic of history especially in the first act that I think is too slow and it takes too long to establish the characters.
- What is the purpose of La Abuela
In my case I understand The Grandmother because every being fights to continue to exist, in fact our organism is designed for that and works towards that purpose but I know that many will be lost with what her intention is, why she does what she does in what is supposed to be a happy family, who love each other and have practically no traumas.
The above for a viewer who wants everything served and does not want to think or give free rein to their imagination is what can affect this film because the problem is that they love each other, then I do not see that the young woman detests her Grandmother and a past in which I also do not see an evil that escalates to aberrant levels.
Regardless of the above, I see a solid film in history whose real and fantastic sensations that transmits are attractive to see, with good performances and a real gloomy atmosphere that totally wins me, entertaining film and I hope you are encouraged to see.
Los elementos a criticar los nombro a continuación y son los siguientes.
- Me falto ver mayor maldad por parte de su joven protagonista
Este es el aspecto más sólido a criticar y que fuera enriquecido la historia porque nos dan una joven con muchos buenos sentimientos, demasiados para mi gusto y en la realidad las personas no son del todo así porque muchos al detestar la vejez llegan a desear la muerte de ese ser para salir de esa carga, pienso que un poco de maldad en su intención pero que quedara demostrada, que la fuéramos visto con contundencia, fuera añadido una mejor dinámica de historia sobre todo en ese primer acto que considero es demasiado lento y que se tarda en establecer los personajes.
- Cual es el propósito de La Abuela
En mi caso comprendo a La Abuela porque todo ser lucha por seguir existiendo, de hecho nuestro organismo está diseñado para eso y trabaja en función a ese propósito pero sé que muchos quedaran perdidos con cuál es su intención, el por qué hace lo que hace en lo que es una familia que se supone es feliz, que se quieren y que prácticamente no tienen traumas.
Lo anterior para un espectador que quiere todo servido y que no quiere pensar o dar rienda suelta a su imaginación es lo que puede afectar este film porque el problema es que se quieren, entonces no veo que la joven deteste a su Abuela y un pasado en el que tampoco veo una maldad que escale a niveles aberrantes.
Independientemente de lo anterior, veo un film solido en historia cuyas sensaciones reales y fantásticas que transmite son atractivas de ver, con buenas actuaciones y una atmosfera real sombría que me gana totalmente, película entretenida y que espero te animes a ver.
