Spoilers Ahead! half story

Hello everyone, today I'll be discussing about the half story and reviewing a K-drama that has touched my heart. I really want to appreciate the series, which is why I am thinking of recommending it to other people.

The K-drama is called **Lovely Runner**; it's a romance and time travel-based series. I really love to watch this type of comedy, sci-fi story, and it's a great thing when romance is also involved. I personally think that everyone, regardless of age, would love this drama. Some people don't have enough time to watch K-drama so, I would like to elaborate the whole story for them. Just look at the trailer how beautiful it looks, I would say at least watch the trailer once.

Let's move on to the series. The story begins with Im Sol, who is handicapped due to an accident. She lost the ability to speak, and a wheelchair is her only means of mobility. One day, she is in the hospital with her mother, feeling upset while her mother steps out for some work. During this time, a K-pop band called "Eclipse" is doing a radio podcast. Ryu Sun-jae is a member of Eclipse, and when it was his turn to speak, the number they dialed happened to be Im Sol's phone.

The radio organizer had a prize for the one who answered the call, which was a pair of shoes. However, when they tried to talk to Im Sol, she was not interested and didn't want to hear them out. Just as she was about to hang up, they told her she had won some shoes, which made Im Sol angry. In frustration, she shouted at them, asking if they could make her walk again because that was what she truly wanted, and she stated that she felt like dying. This scenario made me sad; I cried my heart out as I could feel her emotions.

She threw her phone on the floor, but the call was still connected. Then Sun-jae spoke up and urged her to live one more day, even if she didn't feel like it, expressing his desire for her to keep going. This made Im Sol cry out loud, as she was craving to hear those words. This was the first time Im Sol encountered Sun-jae.

_credits Later on, we see that the story moves to another chapter where Im Sol joins the fan base of Eclipse. She adores them a lot, as she felt the urge to live because of their podcast. One day, she was about to attend an Eclipse concert, but she was offered a job at the same time. Unfortunately, she couldn't take the job because she was handicapped, and there was no lift in the building. She lost her tickets to the concert and couldn't get in, yet she still smiled and enjoyed the concert from outside. This made me feel overwhelmed; even though she couldn't see the concert, she was still enjoying it from outside.

_credits The first time Im Sol met Sun-jae was on a snowy night. Im Sol was at a bridge in her wheelchair and couldn't move. At that moment, Sun-jae noticed her and approached her with an umbrella. She was stunned to see him, as she had never been this close to her favorite idol. He also offered her a handkerchief, which made Im Sol blush even harder. Later on, Im Sol offered Sun-jae her favorite candies.

_credits A few hours later, the story takes a dark turn as we see Sun-jae attempt self-harm, and he passes away. Im Sol, who was outside trying to move her wheelchair, couldn't believe the news. In her hurry, she fell under the bridge and cried out loud. The watch on her wrist was lost in the water, but she found it. At that moment, she felt completely broken. When the news on the board flashed again, the watch shone for a bit, and as she was checking her watch, she tapped on it and time traveled.

_credits She time-traveled to her class and initially thought she was dead, but she was able to walk, which made her happy. I could also feel her happiness when I saw her running and walking. Later, she met the older Sun-jae, and they were studying in the same place. Sun-jae felt awkward when she hugged him out of nowhere. As the story progresses, we see that Im Sol is trying to prevent Sun-jae from swimming, as he is injured in the future. However, Sun-jae would not listen to her at all. Whenever Im Sol tried to talk about the future, time would stop, and everything would turn black and white.

_credits Whenever she saw Sun-jae, she would cry because he had to go through a lot of problems, and in the future, he chooses death. To avoid this outcome, Im Sol tried her best to make his life easier. Whenever Sun-jae asked her what her purpose was in doing things for him, she would say she was his fan. He was confused because he felt he hadn't accomplished anything to deserve her kindness, and he was not an idol; back in time, he was a swimmer.

I liked the fact that she never missed a chance to protect him. Even though Sun-jae would get mad, she still pursued her goal of keeping him safe for his well-being in the future, so he wouldn't feel like dying again. On the other hand, we find out that Sun-jae had a crush on Im Sol for a long time, but she never noticed him. Sun-jae lives in front of Im Sol's house and often used to visit her in the library, but she did not recognize him when she first saw him and thought he was a delivery boy. However, Sun-jae always appreciated the fact that Im Sol was showing interest in the present time.

There was a twist in the story where we see a man with Im Sol's picture, which gives a hint that he has some bad intentions.

To be honest, I would say the story is really good, and I'm still watching it; I haven't finished it yet. I have a feeling that now Sun-jae is going to try to protect Im Sol from the mysterious guy. I haven't finished watching this drama yet, as each episode is 1 hour long, and being a student, I have studies to do, so I couldn't finish it. However, I never got bored of it, as each episode is worth watching. Hopefully, I can finish watching it this week, and I'll update you guys about it more.

_credits The female lead, Kim Hye-yoon, is truly a great actress. This is my first time seeing her in a drama; I may have seen her before but didn't notice her. I love how she connects with the audience through her feelings; it was very impressive to see her. The male lead, Byeon Woo-seok, is also incredible. I first saw him in Strong Girl Nam-soon. I'm actually watching Lovely Runner because of him, as I liked his acting and wanted a good romantic ending for his character. I heard Lovely Runner has a good ending, so I decided to give it a try. I cried during the first episode, and that shows how good this drama is. I'm glad I made up my mind to watch this wonderful series.

I also feel that people who are fans of K-pop would love this story, as it's a fantasy drama where a normal girl gets the chance to be with her favorite idol. I think every fan would wish for something like this, so it's going to be relatable for them.

So, if you are looking for a romance drama, then this is the perfect match. You must watch this drama at least once in your lifetime. Even though I haven't finished the whole series yet, I would still rate it 10 out of 10. Also, my favorite song from this drama is 10 cm - Spring Snow. I would recommend everyone to listen to this song at least once. Whenever this song is played in the background, I feel mesmerized by it.

Anyway, this is the end I'll be back again when I've completed watching this series.

Lovely Runner is one of the K-dramas I’ve wanted to watch for months. The task had been postponed due to my work. Watching 16 episodes of 60 minutes each is a tough challenge, but not impossible. I talked a lot with @marybellrg about this production. Three weeks ago, I told her I was stuck on episode 11. I finally managed to get through and finish it.

The plot fantastically focuses on two aspects: human emotions and impossibility. Love is something that weighs heavily, that makes the protagonists unable to move forward, and creates a burden in each of their chests, mainly due to their desires for growth and protection.

The storyline is chaotically charming. The reason for this is that it constantly plays with the illusion and possibility of everything being perfect. Unfortunately, there are drastic twists that break the illusion of things being that way. It’s the very nature of the plot. This aspect of the K-drama makes you want to watch every episode. As the story progresses, everything becomes even more interesting.

Time travel is in fashion. TVN is betting on productions that perfectly maintain this element. What’s surprising about this K-drama is the way the protagonists build the story. The plot begins with a sense of illusion that fades away due to a tragic death. Indeed, that event forms both the beginning and the end of Lovely Runner.

Lovely Runner es uno de los K-dramas que deseaba ver desde hace meses. La tarea se había prolongado y pospuesta por mi trabajo. Ver 16 capítulos de 60 minutos es una tarea difícil, pero no imposible. Conversé mucho con @marybellrg sobre ésta producción. Hace tres semanas le dije que estaba estancado en el episodio 11. Logré avanzar y culminarlo.

La trama se enfoca fantásticamente en dos aspectos: las emociones humanas e imposibilidad. El amor es algo que pesa, que imposibilita a los protagonistas y que genera una carga en el pecho de cada uno, principalmente por los deseos de superación y protección.

El diseño argumental es caóticamente encantador. La razón es que juega constantemente con la ilusión y la posibilidad de que todo sea perfecto. Lamentablemente, hay giros drásticos que rompen la ilusión de que todo sea de ese modo. Es la propia forma argumental. Éste aspecto del K-drama provoca que desees ver cada episodio. A medida que avanza la historia, todo se vuelve aún más interesante.

Los viajes en el tiempo están de moda. TVN está apostando por producciones que mantienen perfectamente éste elemento. Lo sorprendente de éste K-drama es la manera en que los protagonistas construyen la historia. La trama empieza con un sentimiento de ilusión que se desvanece por una muerte trágica. Ciertamente, ese acontecimiento es lo que compone el principio y el final de Lovely Runner.

I must emphasize that the K-drama is directed by Kim Jung-kwon. Additionally, it is based on the web novel Tomorrow's Best, which was later adapted into a Webtoon by Doong Doong. In South Korea, it is common for K-dramas to be produced from novels and romantic Webtoon adaptations. There is an existing audience for this, which allows for better alignment.

The plot presents a very fresh approach, aiming to move the audience by exploring, beneath the lightness, the inner struggle of the characters' emotions. In my view, the scenes create a narrative that delves into ambition, love, and the acceptance of each character. The latter is the most critical because the protagonist is disabled; that is, she cannot walk.

The lead actors are familiar to me from several productions. Byeon Woo-seok, for example, acted in 20th Century Girl, where he delivered a stunning performance. In Lovely Runner, he conveys the same emotional depth as in the previous production: his portrayal of Ryoo Seon-jae goes beyond any simple aspect. The word I must use is: evolution.

As for Kim Hye-yoon, I must say she has matured since I first saw her in Extraordinary You. Although the feeling of wanting to save the protagonist is the same as in that production, her constant insistence as Im Sol doesn't wear you out. What I mean is that you'll want to know whether she will succeed in changing the events of the past to impact the future.

Debo destacar que el K-drama se está dirigido por Kim Jung-kwon. Además, está basado en la novela web Tomorrow's Best, que posteriormente fue adaptado a Webtoon por Doong Doong. En Corea del Sur es normal que los K-dramas sean producidos a partir de novelas y adaptaciones o Webtoon románticos. Hay un público precedente y eso permite un mayor acoplamiento.

La trama consolida una propuesta muy fresca, que busca conmover, bajo la ligereza, la lucha interna de las emociones de los personajes. A mi modo de ver, las escenas crean un relato argumentativo que explota la ambición, el amor y la aceptación de cada personaje. La última es la más crítica debido a que la protagonista es inválida; es decir, ella no puede caminar.

Los actores que tienen los protagónicos los he visto en varias producciones. Byeon Woo-seok, por ejemplo, actuó en 20th Century Girl, donde efectuó un papel demoledor. En Lovely Runner explotó el mismo sentimiento que la anterior producción: su actuación como Ryoo Seon-jae va más allá de cualquier aspecto sencillo. La palabra que debo usar es: evolución.

En el caso de Kim Hye-yoon, debo decir que ha madurado desde que la vi protagonizar Extraordinary You; aunque el sentimiento por salvar al protagonista es el mismo que en esa producción. Su constante insistencia como Im Sol no te cansa. Me refiero a que querrás saber si ella logrará cambiar los acontecimientos del pasado para que incidan en el futuro.

The first impression of the K-drama might be the least optimal. I mean, it's a romantic comedy and sports story, but it goes beyond that. The production is like a race, but one where emotions constantly accelerate and decelerate. You need to pay close attention to the events because they might not be understood, and you could lose the connection.

The character Ryoo Seon-jae is the typical young person with dreams, but whose path is blocked by circumstances beyond his control. The inability to fulfill his dream as an athlete leads to a constant evaluation of the pressure exerted by his environment and family on a particular goal. The K-drama subtly critiques parents who force their children and later reflects on Ryoo Seon-jae’s father’s understanding of his son’s pain and physical limitations. Powerful!

Sport, much like the romantic drama itself, acts as a catalyst for the internal dilemmas of the protagonists. The plot, beyond Im Sol’s desire to save Ryoo Seon-jae, sends a message that explains that you should not only race toward the goal but also learn to accept yourself. I’m talking about the impossibility of achieving what you want. The world revolves around various events that don’t depend 100% on you. We also have to learn to accept what happens, no matter how difficult it may be.

Cinematically, Lovely Runner has many strengths. Kim Jung-kwon’s direction creates a connection with the story, despite not having a revolutionary style—it’s powerful. You can feel that connection between the viewer and each character, who are shown as ordinary, weak people who grow step by step.

Something else that ties into the K-drama's plot is a killer chasing the protagonists. One might think it's something unstructured, but it’s actually part of the beginning and the ending of the story. It’s its origin, to be exact. In the end, Lovely Runner reminds you that the real race isn’t about a stopwatch or a clock; it's about the journey of understanding yourself and those around you. I wrote this review while listening to the OST of episode 1, "ECLIPSE - Sudden Shower MV." I hope you connect with the song as well.

La primera impresión del K-drama puede ser la menos óptima, me refiero; al hecho de que es una historia de comedia romántica y deportiva, pero que va más allá de ese aspecto. La producción es como una carrera, pero de emociones que aceleran y desaceleran constantemente. Hay que prestar mucha atención a los hechos, porque pueden no entenderse y perder la conexión.

El personaje, Ryoo Seon-jae es el típico joven con sueños, pero que ve obstruido su camino por circunstancias ajenas a él. La imposibilidad de cumplir su sueño como atleta provoca una evaluación constante sobre la presión ejercida por el entorno y la familia sobre una meta determinada. El K-drama de una manera sutil hace una crítica a los padres que fuerzan a sus hijos y después reflexiona con la corrección y entendimiento del padre de Ryoo Seon-jae sobre el dolor de su hijo y sus imposibilidades físicas. ¡Potente!

El deporte, como el propio drama romántico, interviene como un catalizador de las disyuntivas internas de los protagonistas. La trama, más allá del deseo de salvar a Ryoo Seon-jae por parte de Im Sol, envía un mensaje en el que explica que no sólo se debe correr hacia la meta, sino que también debes aceptarte a ti mismo. Me refiero a la imposibilidad de no poder alcanzar lo que deseas. El mundo gira en torno a diversos acontecimientos que no dependen 100% de ti. También tenemos que aprender a aceptar lo que ocurre, por más difícil que sea.

Cinematográficamente, Lovely Runner tiene muchas fortalezas. La dirección de Kim Jung-kwon genera una conexión entre el argumento, a pesar de no tener un estilo revolucionario, es potente. Se siente esa conexión entre el espectador y cada uno de los personajes que se muestran como personas ordinarias, débiles y que van creciendo paso a paso.

Algo que también conecta con el argumento del K-drama es un asesino que persigue a los protagonistas. Puede pensarse que es algo no estructurado, pero en realidad forma parte del inicio y el cierre de la historia. Es su origen, para ser exactos. Finalmente, Lovely Runner te hace recordar que la verdadera carrera no está en un cronómetro o un reloj; sino en el viaje de comprensión a ti mismo y los que te rodean. Escribí la reseña escuchando el OST del episodio 1 ECLIPSE - Sudden Shower MV. Espero que también conectes con la canción.

The drama Lovelu Runner is heavy, a murder drama. However, it is packed with a unique story, there is even a lot of comedy by Sun Jae or Im Sol. makes this drama a little refreshing. It seems that dramas that have a heavy impression need to be made light for fresh audiences. Apart from the comedy story, there is not much to do in this drama. Many time traveler dramas have been made, but this story is quite fresh.
Not a Sad Ending
This drama ended happily, I think both Im Sol and Sun Jae ended up getting married and living happily. As expected, this story has a happy ending. Only the murderer ultimately died horribly in place of Sun Jae. There is a transfer of destiny between Sun Jae and the killer. That is what the audience hopes.

Es una producción coreana de fantasía y viajes en el tiempo que presenta la historia de Ryu Sun Jae, un idol famoso que es encontrado muerto en su casa de manera trágica y una joven en silla de ruedas llamada Im Sol que viaja al pasado para salvarlo. Cuando Im Sol viaja al pasado se da cuenta de que ambos vivían uno frente al otro cuando estaban en la secundaria, así que aprovecha la oportunidad para evitar ese destino trágico. Resulta que ella era el primer amor de Sun Jae y este trató de animarla luego de su accidente, pero antes de que esto suceda, ella pone en marcha su plan con la esperanza de cambiar futuro. En esta historia nos encontramos con los mejores amigos de ambos, la abuela de Im Sol, y el reloj del idol que permite que los viajes sucedan.

Estoy enamorada del actor que hace de Sun Jae 😍, y me encanta la actriz que hace de Im Sol, siento que la actualización de ambos estuvo muy bien y la química fue buena. En términos generales digamos que fue un drama fresco, con sus momentos divertidos, buenos actores secundarios y una buena escenografía, pero lamentablemente la historia no fue tan bien desarrollada y terminó siendo demasiado sobrevalorado.

I'm in love with the actor who plays Sun Jae 😍, and I love the actress who plays Im Sol, I feel like the updating of both of them was really good and the chemistry was good. Overall let's just say it was a fresh drama, with its funny moments, good supporting actors and good set design, but unfortunately the story wasn't that well developed and it ended up being too overrated.

Un detalle de las series de viajes en el tiempo es intentar que cada viaje sea significativo, pero en este caso agregaron mucho relleno para que pudiera ser divertido y el punto principal perdió importancia ya que sólo buscaban desarrollar la historia de amor entre ambos. Y algo que me pareció insólito, es que se supone que en los primeros capítulos la trama del asesino que perseguía a Sol en cada viaje que hacía y que jugaba un papel fundamental, porque el accidente ocurría una otra vez sin importar la línea del tiempo y le restaron total importancia.

De paso, se supone que en el último viaje ella no conoce a Sun Jae y en la primera línea temporal su hermano y mejor amiga no estaban juntos, ¿como fue que en la última eso fue lo único que no cambió?. Y lo peor es el recurso tan barato que utilizaron para justificar el hecho de que el protagonista recordara sus momentos juntos aún cuando se supone que no se habían conocido porque resulta que los recuerdos están en el corazón.

By the way, in the last trip she is not supposed to meet Sun Jae and in the first timeline her brother and best friend were not together, how come in the last one that was the only thing that didn't change. And what's worse is the cheap device they used to justify the fact that the main character remembered their times together even though they weren't supposed to have met because it turns out that memories are in the heart.

Si buscas una historia romántica pues está bien, pero no es una buena historia de viajes en el tiempo y detesto cuando sacrifican la trama y no se enfocan en lo importante, porque lo que quieren es lograr el romance tan necesario.

If you're looking for a romantic story then fine, but it's not a good time travel story and I hate it when they sacrifice plot and don't focus on what's important because they want to achieve the much needed romance.

Pero bueno amigos, estaré viendo otras cosas y dándoles mi opinión. Nos estamos leyendo.

El día de hoy quiero venir hablarles sobre un drama que comencé a ver, pero no quiero hablar del drama como tal si no la conexión que sentí en el primer capítulo, porque me nace la necesidad de mi corazón y tal vez alguien que llegue a leer esto, se sienta igual.

The drama is called Lovely Runner, it's still starting but I feel like the one who wrote this must be a traumatized fan although not the one who wrote the drama because it's actually based on a Webtoon (I think I'm over explaining myself) but you know the first episode will always be the hook and for someone who is just starting to watch something, but for that hook to make you cry like a little girl is not normal.

El drama se llama Lovely Runner, esta aun comenzando pero siento que el que escribió esto debe ser un fan con traumas aunque no el que escribió el drama porque en realidad está basado en un Webtoon (creo que me estoy sobre explicando) pero sabes que el primer capítulo siempre será el gancho y para alguien que está comenzando a ver algo, pero que ese gancho te ponga a llorar como una niña chiquita no es normal.

Bueno uno tiene sus tropezones en su vida y hay circunstancias que hace que no la veamos de la misma manera, eso pasa con nuestra protagonista la cual esta parapléjica y obviamente no va a ver todo de la misma manera, cuando estas en lo más fondo de un abismo que se llama depresión una palabra cuenta más que mil abrazos “Gracias por vivir” creo que siempre será una frase que me va afectar en todos los sentidos, no es como lo dicen si no en el momento que lo hacen.

Muchas veces se quejan de la idolatría hacia un artistas sobre todo las fans del kpop, pero nunca preguntan porque los admiras tantos, muchas fans no tienen historias muy lejanas a esta ficción ya que este amor unilateral muchas veces es porque nos refugiamos en ellos o su música, en realidad en el 2018 no fueron tiempos claros para mi y la música de BTS fue mi refugio además de que su era Love Youself fue lo mejor que me pudieron dar para sentirme mejor conmigo y mi manera de ver el mundo.

Por ello a veces pienso que sufrir solito un dolor mientras le das alegrías a otro debe ser una parte tan triste de vivir, tal por eso la estrella más brillante se puede apagar. La industria del Kpop es muy toxica pero uno aun la consume por ellos, cuantas veces no lloraran detrás de un concierto mientras cuando sale hacen reír a su público, cuantas veces dejaran de comer por la mismas criticas que les tira las mismas personas que dicen amarlos, por eso duele tanto cuando sucede cosas como lo que paso en el primer capítulo, muchas estrellas se apagaron a no poder con esa oscuridad.

En estas fechas murió hace un año un artistita el cual admiraba mucho y literalmente era uno de los idols que más vibras tenia, no se sabe el porque te su fallecimiento pero no puedo creer que por causas naturales muriera alguien de 24 años el cual desplegaba vitalidad en todas sus formas y si fue una muerte natural fue por sobre excceso de trabajo, por eso este capítulo es un abrazo a una fan a su idol favorito aquel que te ha dado paz sin buscarlo y al cual hubiéramos querido y queremos que no pase por ningún dolor y tenga que ocultarlo ¿volver en el tiempo y salvarlo? No se puede, pero si podemos cuidar sanamente de ellos siendo fans sanas, sin acoso, hate y críticas, ellos también son humanos.
