You know those days off when you can watch a movie? That happened to me recently. Someone lent me an Amazon Prime account, and among the movies I wanted to choose to watch, I chose “Mamma Mia” because it was recommended to me and they say it's good. I have to watch it and understand it in order to give an accurate review, so I started watching it, and here's what I think.
The movie “Mamma Mia!” is similar to musical comedies like High School Musical or The Greatest Showman. I like it because everything is accompanied by music, but I find it difficult to understand the plot.
Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried star in this musical comedy, inspired by songs from the famous 1970s band ABBA.
It premiered on October 24, 2008, in Venezuela and received two Golden Globe nominations.
Donna, an independent hotelier on the Greek islands, prepares for her daughter's wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile, Sophie, Donna's cheerful daughter, has her own plan. She invites three men from her mother's past to the wedding in the hope of meeting her biological father so that he can walk her down the aisle.
And I love it because I really connect with the main character. Just imagine how beautiful it is to live in those places and be about to get married at 20 years old. While I was trying to understand the plot of the movie, I enjoyed every scene set to ABBA songs, and that's when I understood why it has become popular on social media like TikTok and why I see it in the songs they put on Instagram reels.
I must mention that I really liked the scenes featuring music by the 1970s band Abba, although suddenly the movie was no longer available on Amazon Prime, so I left it halfway through. I think it's a good movie, but I didn't watch it very often. I should have given it a second chance, because the idea is that the story should draw you in, and honestly, it didn't draw me in. I should also mention that it's a romantic story that's not so romantic, combined with a musical.
Anyway, there's a second movie called “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” that's on Amazon Prime, so I'll watch that. I hope you liked it, see you soon!

¡Hola queridos usuarios de Hive ✨💕!
Hi dear Hive users ✨💕!
¡Hola Hola Comunidad! 💃🏻🎤.
Hello Hello Community! ✨, today's review I really think it had to come much earlier, because the film I'm going to talk about is now considered a classic, or at least a film known by many, and although I knew of its existence, for some reason that I still don't understand I hadn't had the chance to see it, for some reason that I still do not understand I had not had the opportunity to see it, this changed one night I saw in a tik tok video that it was being recommended and I realized that there was no reason to continue without seeing it 🤣, is for that reason that today we will talk about Mamma Mia! 💃🏻🎤

For years Donna has hidden the identity of her father, but that is about to change.
After reading Donna's diary, Sophie now has 3 possible fathers whom she decides to invite to her wedding without telling Donna, now there is not only chaos over the wedding but also the presence of these 3 men who come to remind Donna of her past.

This film is based on a musical and has the incredible music of the group ABBA, so if it is the first time you hear this story at once I warn you that it is a musical, and I start with that detail because that is exactly what prevented me from seeing this movie because I really do not like musicals, so why I decided to give it a chance? the answer is simple, I love the music of the group ABBA 🤣 so I ended up enjoying the whole story because it is told through the music.
I have to admit that the rhythm of the story/dialogue and musicalisation feels pleasant until about halfway through the film, because when we approached the end I personally felt that there were already too many songs in a very short range of time, that is, there came a point where there was no more dialogue and everything was music and that made me think that the film was running out of time and they needed to put in all the missing songs, but keep in mind that this is the opinion of someone who is not a fan of musicals.
I thought the performances were incredible, yes it is true that there are moments when they feel very dramatic and that can make you feel that they are exaggerating the performances, but as the story is told I understood that this was precisely the object in some characters, because at the end of the day the whole film is a staging set to music, so from my perspective that makes the acting perfect, also most of the actors and actresses who participate are known to me so I know the quality of their work, and knowing them was what made me understand the objective of this dynamic and made me confirm that they do indeed have an incredible acting level.
The leading roles are played by Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried as Donna and Sophie, and I must say that their work is impeccable, not only for the acting but also for the musical performance, all their performances are a must-see gem in this film, and they manage to convey the meaning of this story. One of the things I liked most about this film is that, although there are love stories in the plot, these are secondary because the real message is in the love between mother and daughter, throughout the story we see them argue for various reasons, for issues of the wedding, for how unnecessary Donna finds marriage, for the presence of these 3 men, for Sophie's need to know who her father is, among others; until reaching the climax of the plot: to accept that they will always be Donna and Sophie, one for the other 💖, and that seems to me to be the best teaching that this film could leave.
I feel that the set design is an ambiguous point of the film, and there are moments where it looks spectacular and with an incredible attention to detail, and in other shots it looks more like a school recital set design than a film set design, I couldn't understand if there was a purpose behind it, I just know that it didn't convince me at all. As for the quality of the dialogue, I don't usually pay much attention to that (unless it's notoriously awful) and besides in this film what really matters is the music, it's through the music that the whole story is told, and the dialogue is used more as a connecting element between the musicalisation and the film.
If you are a person who enjoys musicals and you haven't seen this movie yet, I really don't understand why it hasn't happened, but if like me you are not a complete fan of this kind of stories, you can trust me when I say that you can enjoy this movie, although of course I love the musical group ABBA so maybe I am not someone reliable to recommend this story 🤭, I just know that I must repeat it to be able to see the second part 🤭.
›CineTV Contest: Mamma Mia ~ A Musical Romance Comedy Film.95@bisolamih456d
Hello, great movie lovers. The year is running by so fast and one important thing I learned is that not only money makes you happy. Even watching a good and interesting film will make you happy and truly, there is that movie that keeps me happy whenever I see it on my television screen.
Even though there are so many movies that makes me happy and put a smile on my face, there is still no movie that makes me happy than Mamma Mia!
Mamma Mia is a musical comedy film directed by Phyllida Lloyd which centers around a bride who wishes to know her biological father.
Movie Plot
The bride-to-be Sophie Sheridan exposes to her friends and bridesmaids about inviting three men who she thinks one of them is her father to the Greek Island of Kalokairi without letting her mother, Donna know about it. Her aim was to make sure that one of them gives her away to the groom-to-be.
The three men are Sam Carmichael, Bill Anderson, and Harry Bright. Even though Sophie never knows who her biological father is, she decided to keep them in Donna’s goat house even without her knowledge.
Finally, Donna sees herself facing her three ex lovers and feels distressed about their presence. For the second time, Donna falls in love with Sam again and they both got married while Sophie’s wedding ceremony was postponed.
The three men decided not to have a paternity test so they all agreed to be one-third fathers of Sophie.
What I loved or hated about the movie
Before revealing what I love, maybe what I hated should go first which is absolutely nothing. Even though I can’t call this a totally perfect movie, I still do not hate anything about this movie that makes me happy.
What I loved about it is how Sam Carmichael and Donna reconciled. I’m an advocate for love and if it is possible, I don’t ever want people to get separated. I really loved how Donna and Sam got back together.
Another thing which I loved about it is how the three men came to conclusion that Sophie’s paternity test won’t be done. That shows that they all love her and want to father her so that’s beautiful to know. It’s very rare in my part of the world to see that happen.
It’s so funny how you may link up with your ex today, you two get talking and get back together. That’s to show that love never fades. Even though you feel you both have been apart for the longest time, you guys can still get back together.
I think this movie inspires me to say that never quarrel nor hate your ex and that’s because you two may become lovers again tomorrow. Love works like magic.
What part of it do I find interesting?
A part which I’ve felt before. It reminds me of my past experience when I met two of my exes in an elevator. My favorite part is where Donna sees her three exes in her goat house.
She was overwhelmed and confused. That was like the most awkward moment in her entire life. It’s interesting because I wondered what will happen at that moment.
Was a fight going to break out? Were the men going to fight over her or what was going to happen? These were the questions that ran through my mind. I guess that’s the part with the most suspense in the movie and that’s why I find it most interesting.
If you want to watch a movie that’s going to make you happy, you can go for this and you will so much enjoy it.
I will rate this movie 9.5/10. You may want to know why I rated it that high because it is worth it.
This is my entry for the CineTV contest. Thanks to you all for reading.
As time passes, it is difficult to avoid the impression that rock 'n' roll is one of the most overrated cultural phenomena of the 20th century. This once heretical view is best confirmed by the fact that ABBA, the Swedish band known for its sugary pop songs, still captivates audiences today as it did in the 1970s, while Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and their contemporaries, once hailed as masters of rock, live only in the nostalgic niche ghettos of television channels like VH1.
In 1999, a stage musical composed solely of ABBA's greatest hits became one of the world's sensations. Although there had been films based more or less on the music of this Swedish group before—most notably the Australian black comedy Muriel's Wedding from 1994—it was inevitable that this theatrical piece would receive its film adaptation. Given all of the above, it was equally inevitable that Mamma Mia! would become the most successful Hollywood musical of all time, grossing nearly $700 million.
The film's plot unfolds on the small Greek island of Kalokairi, where 20-year-old Sophie Sheridan (played by Amanda Seyfried) lives with her mother Donna (played by Meryl Streep), who owns a local hotel. Sophie is about to marry young Sky (played by Dominic Cooper), but before that, she wants to discover who her father is. After finding her mother's diary, she decides to invite three possible candidates to her wedding: Swedish adventurer Bill (played by Stellan Skarsgård), banker Harry (played by Colin Firth), and architect Sam (played by Pierce Brosnan). The trio arrives on the island believing they have been invited by Donna. To keep her company, Donna's old friends—celebrity chef Rosie (played by Julie Walters) and free-spirited divorcee Tanya (played by Christine Baranski)—join her.
The plot, inspired by the 1968 Hollywood comedy Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell featuring Gina Lollobrigida, can be described as lightweight and filled with clichés that even writers of ancient comedy might recognise. On the other hand, this framework is sturdy enough to accommodate as many as 22 ABBA songs in the film.
Phyllida Lloyd, who directed the first stage version of the musical, lacks significant experience in film or television, but viewers are unlikely to notice. Many scenes are surreal and absurd yet quite imaginative, including musical numbers literally accompanied by a Greek chorus. Fans of ABBA and musical theatre should find satisfaction—if only producers hadn't come up with the not-so-bright idea for every actor to not only act but also sing their roles.
In some cases, this wasn't too bad, as with Seyfried, who boasts an impressive voice. Meryl Streep, known for her gravely serious acting roles, had already showcased her singing talent in Postcards from the Edge and A Prairie Home Companion, while Christine Baranski is a pleasant surprise. However, for viewers who value their ears, Pierce Brosnan's singing—or attempts at singing—will be a significant challenge. The result resembles scenes from karaoke bars in late-night hours and represents a violation of European cultural heritage.
Fortunately, Brosnan's role is relatively limited; thus, regardless of whether nostalgia for ABBA resonates or not, audiences will generally have reason to be pleased with this light-hearted yet charming product of Hollywood entertainment.
Ten years later, a sequel titled Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was released, becoming another huge success.

Hello friends, today's proposal has been around for a few years, to be precise 16 years, but without a doubt, it is a film that I have cherished since its release. This movie is a safe place to return to when things go wrong or I simply need to cheer up a bit.
Since its release in 2008, “Mamma Mia!” has captured the hearts of thousands of viewers around the world. This musical comedy, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and starring the talented Meryl Streep, takes us on a journey full of music, love, and self-discovery, exploring the beauty of the everyday from a picturesque and, to me, exotic Greek island. Today I want to talk to you about what makes this movie so special to me.
The Story
“Mamma Mia!” is based on the musical of the same name and masterfully uses the songs of the Swedish group ABBA to immerse us in its story.
The main plot follows Sophie (Amanda Seyfried), a young woman who, about to get married and after discovering her mother's diary, decides to search for the identity of her real father. To achieve her goal, she invites three of her mother's former lovers, Donna (Meryl Streep), to her wedding, hoping to discover the truth.
The film not only uses ABBA's music but celebrates it in an explosion of themes as universal as love, family, identity, and inner search. Meryl Streep's performance as Donna is one of my favorites of the actress, endowing the character with a deep emotional charge and a lively and captivating energy. The chemistry within the cast is palpable through the screen, and the choreographies add a very well-achieved dynamism and naturalness.
The Critique
Professional criticism has been mixed in terms of its reception. While some praised the production, energy, and particular charm of the film, others criticized the lack of singing ability of some actors. But honestly, it is difficult to imagine other people than those chosen to embody these characters. Some critics mentioned that the film was not for everyone, although it would have a group of people who would love it, and I think I am in that group. Rotten Tomatoes highlighted that although the plot was irrelevant, the film more than fulfilled its purpose of entertaining, and “Mamma Mia!” is a film that does not pretend to be taken too seriously; its main goal is to make the audience have fun, and in that, it undoubtedly succeeds.
Favorite Musical Numbers and Performances
One of its most vibrant moments is its memorable musical numbers. Here are my favorites:
Dancing Queen: An explosion of pure joy and captivating energy, where dancing and singing throughout the island is simply contagious.
Mamma Mia: Meryl Streep's performance is an iconic scene, capturing a moment of tension, nostalgia, and emotion.
The Winner Takes It All: Emotional and moving, the song alone is already a masterpiece, but the moment and place where it is sung increase its strength and emotion.
ABBA's songs were brilliantly adapted to fit into the film's narrative. Each song feels like a natural extension of the story being told and the characters presented, contributing to the film's progress and development.
Impact and Influence
“Mamma Mia!” introduced ABBA's songs to new generations. This production demonstrated that there is a wide audience interested in musicals based on popular songs, which has led to the creation of other films like “La La Land” and “The Greatest Showman,” influencing popular culture and opening the doors to new proposals on the big screen.
It rescued the fashion of an era, a bohemian and retro style, with special attention to the bright and dazzling costumes of Donna and the Dynamos.
The film's impact on tourism to the Greek islands, especially Skopelos, where many scenes were filmed, has been significant, and perhaps one of my dreams. Many fans visit the island to experience the magic that the film conveys in their own skin.
Final Words
Without a doubt, “Mamma Mia!” stands out above other musicals thanks to all these unique characteristics. Without pretensions, it manages to be more than just a musical film; it is a cultural phenomenon that has left a lasting mark on cinema and popular culture. Its simple but effective success formula lies in its ability to provide us with an entertaining experience, a celebration of the everyday, of music and dance as an expression of our feelings. Personally, I consider it a gem and it holds a very special place in my heart.

Friends, it's been a long time since I've posted a movie review but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to review a film that I saw on Mother's Day with mine, a film a little old but that serves quite well to pass the time.
Overview/Resumen
This film is an adaptation of a Broadway musical based on the songs of Abba, the Swedish pop music band of the 70s. It brings us the story of Donna who is organizing the wedding of her only daughter but suddenly, and for the purpose of the event, three men come into her life who were very important to her as she was romantically involved with each of them although at different times in her life obviously, and in fact her daughter knows that one of them may be her father and that is why she invited them to the wedding. The rest of the story is told in the style of all musicals, using Abba's songs to set the mood, plus the lyrics go very well with each scene they want to represent.

My Opinion/Mi Opinión
To be completely honest with you, I am not a fan of musicals, but still I could not resist this one because I love Abba and I wanted to see what they had done with their songs in this film and the truth is that although it does not have a very deep story I think it is a film to have a good time, it is entertaining and has several funny scenes that I enjoyed a lot, the cast is great, we can see Meryl Streep Pirce Brosnan, Colin Firth and of course Julie Walters who I became very fond of through her most emblematic character, Mrs. Weasley in Harry Potter, the locations are beautiful, as they are beautiful Greek landscapes that invite you to relax and the songs are perfectly adapted to each scene, being my favorites Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia and Chiquitita, especially the latter, where Donna's friends try to lift her spirits.
As for the voices of the actors I can not say that they are the most virtuosic, however there is a scene where I think Meryl Streep put all her soul, is one where she sings The Winner takes it all, as it makes a good combination between her acting skills (which is her forte) and a beautiful voice, she has a very sweet tessitura, but she also knows how to interpret through her voice, she doesn't sing for the sake of singing, she gives the emphasis that each phrase requires and uses vocal resources to transmit the emotion that the character requires, you can notice that she worked a lot with a vocal coah, but at the same time you can also notice all her histrionic experience because it touches your soul.
I don't consider it the best movie in the world at all, but you can have a great time watching it, especially if you like Abba's songs and want to sing them at the top of your lungs while watching the movie, so I recommend it for a weekend. Thank you very much for reading my post, I hope you liked it and thank you very much for giving me a little bit of your time.
›Mafia Mamma Movie Analysis and My Thoughts. | Trliste 30 Günlük Serüven Gün #16 | Mafya Anne Film Analizi ve Düşüncelerim.@mehmetfix934d
Hello from the 16th day of the adventure 🤗
How are you feeling today? I hope everyone is well today and you are able to continue your fortune. We are on day 16. We are almost in the middle of the adventure. Time flies so fast, doesn't it? I think yes.
Bence evet.
Do you like sudden events? For example, I'm talking about suddenly going to another city or another country. I generally like this kind of thing. Of course, I love things that happen suddenly, but I never wanted it to be like in this movie. Because that would be really different and bad from my perspective. I don't think going through what the leading lady, Kristin, is going through is exactly the kind of adventure you would call.
First of all, let's talk a little about the subject of the movie. Kristin, the leading lady of the movie, is a woman who lives on her own and tries to handle things in her life. But one day, he is called by someone and told that he must come to Italy immediately because his grandfather passed away. Kristin decides to go to Italy for her grandfather's funeral. But she is unaware of the events that will confront her there. I think it would be more accurate to call it a series of events rather than events.
Kristin only goes there because of her grandfather's death and the vineyard, but that's not actually the case. There he encounters something completely different. There, her grandfather is actually the mafia and Kristin has to replace his grandfather. So this is Kristin's grandfather's will. Let's see what happens when Kristin becomes the head of the mafia group. I also have to say that since I will be giving my opinions about this movie, I may give some spoilers. So you can learn something about the movie. That's why I recommend you watch the movie first. It's already a fun and beautiful movie.
Orada aslında dedesi mafyadır ve Kristin' in dedesinin yerine geçmesi gerekiyor. Yani bu Kristin' in dedesinin vasiyeti.
Kristin is a smart woman, but there are also times when she can be a little naive. When Kristin learns that she will be the head of one of the most powerful mafias in Calabria, I don't think she is shocked, just surprised. Because she seems like someone who is not aware of the things she is going through. You can understand this from the names he makes in the movie.
Kristin is a woman who was cheated on by her husband and that's why she is very sad. In fact, her visit to Italy was necessary and good for her change, but as it turns out, it is not so good because Kristin is caught between both assassinations and armed conflicts in the first days of her arrival. I'm sure being in such a situation is something he or any other person would never want. I think this movie is very good and you should definitely watch it.
›"Mama Mia!" by Phyllida Lloyd: A Musical Movie that Can Make You Smile and Cry@afterglow976d
Greetings!
In the 1980s I began to hear some beautiful songs on our radio like Mama Mia, Super Trouper, Dancing Queen, and Chiquitia. I do not know who sang those songs but I do like them because they are so beautiful to hear. And then slowly but surely I came to know who sang them, it was ABBA. Also, I did not know what the nationality of ABBA was, until, again, slowly but surely I came to know that they are from Sweden and they are married couples.
How amazing I told to myself. A music group can be composed of two married couples, just like ABBA. As of the moment, and to be honest, I do not know of any music group composed of two married couples after ABBA.
There is no doubt that ABBA is one of the most successful music groups ever. I think up until now there is a stage musical called Mama Mia! touring around the world. As successful as ABBA is I am not surprised that there will be a movie about their songs. In 2008 it happened just like that, a movie titled "Mama Mia" was released and some of the famous names acting in the movie were Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, and Meryl Streep.
The narrative of Mama Mia is a fun, romantic, sad, happy, and amazing musical movie about the story of a woman whose daughter's father is unknown and there are three possible fathers of the daughter. It was revealed in the movie that the daughter invited all three of them. How did she know the names? Watch and find out.
Sam Carmichael, one of the possible father of the daughter
Bill Anderson, one of the possible father of the daughter
Harry Bright, one of the possible father of the daughter
I like the first songs of ABBA that were used in the opening of the movie, the song fits perfectly. The first scenes put a very wide smile on my face about the three possible fathers of the daughter. I love it when the young versions of the three men are shown in the movie giving us an idea of how they look like when Donna fell for them. I loved it when Harry played the guitar and then sang. The writer did a fantastic job is incorporating the song into the script of the movie. In the early part of the movie, it showed that it is indeed it is a musical movie.
Midway into the movie the Super Trouper is sung and performed by Donna and her two friends, I must say that I love it, the song is just fantastic, and the way it was performed is so amazing it captures the narrative of the moment that it was being performed amateur by former professional singers who were past their prime.

Also, I absolutely love to see Pierce Brosnan's singing, he is magnificent. I have known Pierce Brosnan for his action movies but this is the first time that I saw him sing let alone act on a musical movie. It is just so refreshing to see your favorite actors and actresses doing something that you have never seen before and Pierce Brosnan and Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried did just that.
Seeing Pierce Brosnan singing is just amazing. You wouldn't think that Pierce was known for his action movies
Another song that made me smile is "Does Your Mother Know" performed by Tanya and Pepper at the beach. It was amazing and the song perfectly fits the acting of Tanya towards Pepper.
Tanya and Pepper performing "Does Your Mother Know"
I must admit that I thought I successfully guessed the ending of the movie but it is not. Also, I think I was not able to guess any of the significant turn of events in the plot. This is maybe one of the movies in which I was not able to successfully guess significant events and I also was not able to successfully guess the ending of the movie. The script did an amazing job of making the viewers believe that what will happen next is based on what we are seeing in the movie but it is not. It was successfully concealed until it was revealed at the end of the movie. I am not going to spoil it here, you must watch the movie in order for you to know.
Aside from Villa Donna (which I like), another location in the movie that I like very much is the location of the church. I never thought that I was going to see a scene in a movie where the majestic location of a church is included for the purpose of shooting a wedding.
The location of the church in the movie is magnificent
Another thing that I like in the movie is the "very Greek" appearance of Amanda Seyfried while preparing for her wedding, I just love it. The movie perfectly portrayed Amanda as a Greek woman. Her appearance is so simple yet so beautifully greek.

All in all the movie is great and also a success. It is also a huge success financially. The movie perfectly used the songs, and the style of how the song was sung and performed was just perfect (the movie perfectly portrayed the "raw" situations in how the song was performed inside the movie. I also like the location of the movie, Greece. Greece is one of the romantic places in the world its beaches are just rawly romantic and casual at the same time. I also like how the Villa Donna was portrayed as it perfectly captured the fact that the villa was maintained by a female. This movie is a must-watch especially if you are a fan of ABBA and their song. I am sure you are going to love it. It has been 15 years since it was released but still very significant today in how powerful the effect of a classic and great song from a great music group from Sweden is.
Note: All images on this blog are screenshots from the movie itself
That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.
Thank you very much to all of the Hive Ecosystem Curation Teams/Individuals, I am very grateful for the upvotes/curation/support. God bless you all!

So let's move on to the fantastic Greek island of Kalokairi (Greek for summer).
Sophie, who is about to get married, has invited three men to her wedding, one of whom is probably her natural father. Her mother had relationships with all three men at the time Sophie was conceived, which Sophie has discovered from her mother's diary.
Her mother, Donna has a villa in Summer, which she is trying to run as a hotel (unsuccessfully, admittedly), which is where Sophie's wedding is to take place. When she realizes her daughter is hiding something and follows her, she finds herself in front of her 3 former lovers,
Donna now has not one, but three troubles, as each of them claims paternity of Sophie, and Donna herself.
Who will ultimately be the "winner"?
This film belongs to the category of julebox musicals; this means that a majority of the songs are well-known songs or belong to a record, with the plot of the film interwoven with the songs and music.
Even if you're not a fan of musicals, like me, I think you'll enjoy the movie. If you ask me why, let me list the reasons why I believe this:
1 Did I mention that Meryl Streep is in it? Her name alone is a serious role to see in any movie. And not only does she sing, but she dances and does comedy.
And it's not just Meryl Streep in the cast, but Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgård, and my favorite Colin Firth (Mr. Darcy, ❤️ ❤️ ❤️for ever). How cute to see the usually serious Brosnan dancing (that means trying to) or the shy Firth having a blast.
2 The songs of Abba. I promise you that from the first song you will start humming, then singing loudly, pretending you have a microphone in your hands, and at the end you will do a whole choreography in your living room
3 Do I need to say it out loud? The beautiful Greek landscape. The film is shot almost entirely on the idyllic island of Skopelos with its deep blue waters, picturesque alleys and beautiful beaches. Add the Greek element to the mix and it's a surefire recipe to take you straight to summer.
So, friends of the community, put on your summer clothes, put on your sandals and get a cocktail ready to enjoy this cool summer movie.
›(Esp/Eng) Mamma mia (2008): fresca y atemporal/ Mamma mia: fresh and timeless@andr3apat1no1643d
Mamma Mia is one of my favorite movies and not only that, it is one of my comfort movies, I really don't know how many times I have seen it, all this because I think it is a very complete movie and here I will explain why, let's start:
The movie is about a girl who is going to get married and wants to meet her dad, she gets her mom's diary and finds three possible men who could be him and decides to invite them all to the wedding. It has an incredible cast of both American and British actors, it stars Meryl Streep and Amanda Seydfried, but we also have the appearance of Colin Firth, Pierse Brosnan, Christine Baranski, Julie Walters and Dominic Cooper and that I think is one of its main attractions. Because we know these people from many other projects and to see them together in one film is just great.
Besides the cast there is something about the movie that makes you can identify with many situations that happen in it, not because we all have three prospective dads hahaha, but the script as it develops reflects several situations of our life that make us identify ourselves as the first love, the closing of stages and the beginning of new things, economic problems, relationship problems, reuniting with our past, the fun we have with our friends and this makes the film works for audiences of all ages and conditions.
Another thing that is also very well done about the film is the scenery and costumes, they really make you feel like you are in Greece in Summer and everything has a somewhat eccentric, you could even say cartoonish touch that makes the film feel very fresh and easy to watch.
As icing on the cake we have: ABBA'S SONGS
I particularly love them, and also if there is something these musicians know how to do is to make their songs feel timeless and excellent, then our whole story unfolds while our protagonists are singing and dancing which added to the things I have already mentioned make "Mamma Mia" an excellent movie.
W Maybe Mamma Mia is not the best movie but it has components such as its casting, its soundtrack and its editing that make it excellent, so if you haven't seen it, what are you waiting for? That's all for today, thanks for making it this far!
