He can sense someone's fear or even their homicidal instinct depending on how they smell, and this raises more questions when it is revealed that Oeufcoque is a kind of synthetic living being created by the government that can also transform into practically any object or living being. It mostly takes the form of a small mouse with golden fur that can talk. It is also shown that Shell underwent a strange operation where he can even forget past memories, store them in external backups, and practically be without any memories of his life as a way to “be born” from scratch without memories.
Little by little, we learn a bit about Balot's tragic past, how he ended up with someone as dangerous and corrupt as Shell, the crimes and dangers behind Shell, and how he seems to be someone who is simply trying to climb the ladder of power in this corrupt and dark world. On the other hand, it is shown how Easter and Oeufcoque are part of old government investigations during the war and now seem to belong to a special division. Their goal is to try to prove all of Shell's evil deeds and get him convicted in order to somehow affect all of his superiors, whom he seems to be helping with his criminal empire. For this reason, it will be very important to protect Balot in order to have her testimony in the trials.
At first, we can see how Balot, in addition to being very afraid, also feels distrustful of Easter and Oeufcoque, feeling that she has been alone her whole life with no one to support her, and when someone seemed to help her, it was for their own interests or to make her suffer even more. We also see how she gradually comes to trust Oeufcoque, who empathizes with her and seems to want to help her not only to complete the case against Shell, but also to protect her and help her feel more comfortable with her own life, as well as try to overcome all the traumas of her past. As you might expect from a story of this kind, there are some truly disturbing characters with incredibly absurd abilities and strength, which makes for some incredible action and combat scenes. Like Balot, she was also modified in order to survive, and her agility and combat skills increase greatly when she learns to use her new abilities.

Mardock Scramble The First Compression es una película del año 2010 la cual tiene ese elemento futurista y de ciencia ficción, combinando con una historia fuerte que toca temas muy delicados haciendo que el desarrollo de la historia sea bastante impactante, aunque también presentan tantos aspecto que puedes quedar con varias dudas al sentir que simplemente te sueltan en mitad de una historia con tantas cosas que se explican muy superficialmente o que simplemente se dan por sentado y omiten algún explicación para el espectador.
La historia nos presenta a Rune Balot una joven chica con un pasado bastante trágico y que parece llevar una vida como prostituta en un mundo futurista y corrompido, toda la historia comienza cuando estando con Shell Septinos quien parece ser su dueño, este decidí colocarle fin a su vida y además parece tener una extraña y perversa costumbre de luego de asesinar a sus víctimas, las convierte en anillo de diamante azul, es aquí cuando aparecen el Dr Easter y Oeufcoque para lograr salvarla cuando estaba a punto de morir y cuando Shell ya se había ido pensando que ya era inevitable la muerte de Balot.
Desde un inicio se presenta múltiples preguntas relacionadas al aspecto de ciencia ficción, se nos presenta que de alguna manera Oeufcoque puede saber exactamente que sentimientos o emociones albergan las personas debido a su olor, puede sentir el miedo o hasta el instinto homicida de alguien según como huele y esto genera más preguntas cuando se muestra que Oeufcoque es una especie de ser vivo sintético creado por el gobierno que además puede convertirse prácticamente en cualquier objeto o ser viviente, mayormente tiene la forma de un pequeño ratón de pelaje dorado que puede hablar. También se muestra como parece que Shell tuvo una extraña operación en donde incluso puede olvidar recuerdos pasados, guardarlos en respaldos externos y prácticamente poder estar sin ningún recuerdo de su vida como una forma de “nacer” desde cero sin recuerdos.
Poco a poco se va explicando un poco sobre el pasado tan trágico de Balot, como termino al lado de alguien tan peligroso y corrupto como Shell, los crímenes y peligros detrás de Shell y como incluso parece que simplemente es alguien que trata de subir en la escalera de poder de este mundo tan corrupto y oscuro, por otro lado se muestra como Easter y Oeufcoque son parte de antiguas investigaciones del gobierno durante la época de guerra y ahora parecen que pertenecen a un división especial, su objetivo es tratar de demostrar todos los actos malvados de Shell y conseguir su condena para de cierta forma afectar a todos sus superiores a quienes el parece ayudarlos con su imperio criminal. Por este motivo será muy importante que protejan a Balot para poder contar con su declaración en los juicios.
Al principio podemos ver como Balot además de tener un gran miedo, también siente desconfianza hacia Easter y Oeufcoque al sentir que toda su vida ha estado sola sin que nadie la apoye y cuando alguien parecía ayudarla era por intereses propios o para luego hacerla sufrir mucho más, también se muestra como poco a poco va consiguiendo confiar en Oeufcoque quien al mismo tiempo empatiza con ella y parece querer ayudarla no solo a completar el caso contra Shell, sino también protegerla y ayudarla a estar más a gusto con su propia vida así como tratar de superar todos los traumas de su pasado. La estética y desarrollo general de la historia se basa mayormente en el drama, suspenso y elementos psicológicos, el estilo de animación y las tonalidades tan oscuras combinan muy bien con todo el aspecto dramático que no presenta esta película, la vida tan triste y dramática que ha tenido que soportar Balot y como parece que para ella todo ha sido normal, se puede apreciar como ya esta acostumbrada a las desgracias en su vida, a pesar de contar con un aspecto más dramático, esta película también presenta varia escenas de acción bastante emocionantes al final de la historia, incluso presenta esa escena tan épica de las películas de acción cuando detienes las balas de los enemigos con tus propia balas, lo único negativo es que su final termina en un momento crucial te muestra los créditos en el momento más impactante, generándote esa necesidad de buscar rápidamente la siguiente película para saber que sucede.
