Mardock Scramble is a Japanese novel series written by Tow Ubukata. The first novel was published in Japan in May 2003, with the final novel published in July 2003. They were later adapted into a manga series and an anime film trilogy. In North America, Viz Media licensed the novels and published all three in one volume. The third and final part of this story had a crappy beginning. Part 2 ended with the main character, a teenage girl with bionic improvements, and the doctor that saved her life, in a casino. I decided to watch this short movie because its animation seemed really well-done and intriguing. The story is set in the future, where people can apply all sorts of modifications to their bodies in order to make them more capable, especially when surviving against deadly enemies.
