I have to admit that I quite like Jared Leto and didn't even know he was in the film when i decided to watch it because it is new-ish and I like science fiction. The fact that he was the star was just an added bonus. The movie isn't science fiction in a spaceship sense (for the most part) as it mostly takes place in modern times (or even the past.)
