Based on the memoirs of Hannah Goslar, who was a friend of Anne Frank, it narrates the events that took place between the beginning of the war and their meeting in the Nazi concentration camps.
We are in the month where love and friendship are celebrated, so it seems appropriate to bring to the community a review about friendship in times of war, a difficult time for those who live it and where having a good friend can save your life, being the central argument of this production.
Basada en las memorias de Hannah Goslar quien fue amiga de Anna Frank narra los hechos que vivieron desde que empezó la guerra hasta su encuentro en los campos de concentración nazi.
Estamos en el mes donde se celebra el amor y la amistad, por lo que me parece oportuno traer a la comunidad una reseña sobre la amistad en tiempos de guerra, una época difícil para quien la vive y donde tener un buen amigo te puede salvar la vida, siendo el argumento central de esta producción.

I am a bit ashamed to say that I don't know the life of Anne Frank, I only know that she left a diary that I want to read. For the time being I saw the film that narrates her friendship with Hanna who is the protagonist of this story, everything starts when they were teenagers and the Second World War had already begun.
Hannah is part of a small family, father, pregnant mother and a little sister, she is shy and innocent, with age to know many things but she conserves the innocence of a girl of 5 years, her only friend is Anna whom she accompanies to all her mischiefs.
Hannah observes the humiliations the Jews face, seeing her father and mother beaten, losing her mother and the baby on the way as she searches for the doctor, facing the pain of mourning without the support of her friend who had already fled to another country as she had been led to believe, but the reality is that Anna was hiding with her family in a cellar and Hannah did not know.
These young women find themselves in the concentration camps, where Hannah spends time with her younger sister and remains in contact with her father, who is in a delicate state of health. All these events take place in a time shift between the present and the war and the past when they were walking and playing in their town.
When finally comes the hope of leaving the camp as a family Hannah, her sister and her father, she realises that her best friend is nearby in the neighbouring concentration camp, but Anna is in worse conditions than her, she is in a zone where they can't even drink water, they were there destined to die, that makes Hannah relive the happy moments and vows to never leave her friend ever trying to save her from starvation endangering her own existence and even losing the chance to leave with her family from the concentration camps.
Me da un poco de vergüenza decir que no conozco la vida de Anna Frank, solo sé que dejó un diario que quiero leerlo. Por lo pronto vi la película que narra sobre su amistad con Hanna quien es la protagonista de esta historia, todo inicia cuando eran unas adolescentes y ya había iniciado la segunda Guerra mundial.
Hannah forma parte de una familia pequeña, padre, madre embarazada y una hermana pequeña, ella es tímida e inocente, con edad para saber muchas cosas pero conserva la inocencia de una niña de 5 años, su única amiga es Anna a quien acompaña a todas sus travesuras.
Hannah observa las humillaciones a los que los judíos se enfrentan, viendo cómo su padre y madre son golpeados, pierde a su madre y el bebé en camino mientras busca el doctor, enfrentándose al dolor del luto sin el apoyo de su amiga que ya había huido a otro país como le habían hecho creer, pero la realidad es que Anna estaba oculta con su familia en un sótano y Hannah no sabía.
Estas jóvenes se encuentran en los campos de concentración, allí Hannah pasa un tiempo con su hermana pequeña y sigue en contacto con su padre, que se mantiene en delicado estado de salud. Pasan todos estos sucesos cambiando el espacio temporal de la película entre el presente y la guerra y el pasado cuando caminaban y jugaban en su ciudad.
Cuando por fin llega la esperanza de salir del campo en familia Hannah, su hermana y su padre, ella se da cuenta de que su mejor amiga está cerca en el campo de concentración vecino, pero Anna está en peores condiciones que ella, está en una zona donde ni siquiera pueden tomar agua, estaban allí destinados a morir, eso hace que Hannah reviva los momentos felices y se prometa a no dejar a su amiga jamás intentando salvarla de la hambruna poniendo en peligro su propia existencia e incluso perdiendo la oportunidad de salir con su familia de los campos de concentración.

I felt an air of romance between these two girls, I may be confusing things, but there was love in this relationship.
The film made me reflect on my own sense of friendship, how strong it is, I don't know how much I would risk to save a friend and leave my family behind. Of course this is the version of Hannah who is the friend of Anne Frank, who did survive the war with her sister and here she is presented as the best and good friend of all times of mankind, I want to believe that she was. What cannot be doubted is that she did know Anne and was her friend before the war, reaffirming that Anne wanted to be a famous writer.
The end of the film made me cry a little, the music had a lot to do with it, I thought the transition of time was good, showing the past and the present that shows the construction of this friendship and that it was not as equitable as you might think.
Sentí un aire de romance entre estas dos niñas, puede que esté confundiendo las cosas, pero sí había amor en esta relación.
La película me hizo reflexionar sobre mi propio sentido de amistad, que tan fuerte es, no sé hasta qué punto me arriesgaría por salvar a una amiga y dejar de lado mi familia. Por supuesto esta es la versión de Hannah que es la amiga de Anna Frank, que si sobrevivió a la guerra con su hermana y aquí se presenta como la mejor y buena amiga del todo los tiempos de la humanidad, yo quiero creer que así fue. De lo que no se puede dudar es que si conoció a Anna y fue su amiga antes de la guerra, reafirmando que Anna deseaba ser una escritora famosa.
El final de la película me hizo llorar un poco, la música tuvo mucho que ver, me pareció buena la transición del tiempo, mostrar el pasado y el presente que muestra la construcción de esta amistad y que no fue tan equitativa como se pudiera pensar.
