En el 2021, el género cinematográfico de la acción se vio representado por el estreno de muchas películas las cuales estuvieron dominadas por las producciones basadas en comics, así como otras que son parte de exitosas franquicias, pero también hubo otras producciones originales como por ejemplo "Nobody", la cual fue una grata sorpresa por su estilo de acción muy directo y divertido lo cual captó mi atención por ser un film como las antiguas películas de acción lo cual me generó nostalgia y a pesar de no ser un gran éxito taquillero, me hizo pensar que seguramente se realizaría una secuela; cuatro años transcurrieron y nuevamente un Don Nadie tendrá una oportunidad más para desplegar su violenta naturaleza.

En "Nobody 2", más que presenciar las consecuencias de los actos realizados por "Hutch Mansell", veremos la necesidad de regresar a esa vida familiar que aborrecía y que lo llevo a esconder lo que verdaderamente es, pero después de esa descarga de adrenalina y violencia que ahora se ha vuelto una acción cotidiana, Hutch se dio cuenta de que lo importante es su familia y por eso que lo mejor es unas vacaciones en un lugar donde fue feliz en un momento de su vida, lo que no sabe él es que ese lugar dejo de ser un lugar de diversión y se ha convertido en un nido de criminales, un lugar perfecto para unir el ambiente familiar con el violento.

Para esta secuela se decidió (no se por qué) cambiar de director y cobrar con Timo Tjahjanto, director de indonesia que para el género de la acción nos ha regalado buenas producciones como "Headshot", "The Shadow Strays" y la mítica "The Night Comes for Us"; en esta oportunidad, "Nobody 2" es el primer film americano que dirige Timo y pensaba que su estilo desenfrenado y violento sería una característica importante, pero la realidad es que en mi opinión, el trabajo de este director pareciera que se mantuvo contenido ofreciendo las escenas de acción más aburridas que he visto de algunas de sus películas; creo que se perdió una gran oportunidad de dar libertad a un director con mucho potencial y con un presupuesto que seguramente sea el más alto con que ha trabajado.

In "Nobody 2," rather than witnessing the consequences of Hutch Mansell's actions, we see his need to return to the family life he hated and that led him to hide who he really is. But after that rush of adrenaline and violence that has now become a daily occurrence, Hutch realizes that what matters most is his family, and that's why the best thing to do is take a vacation to a place where he was happy at one point in his life. What he doesn't know is that this place is no longer a place of fun and has become a den of criminals, a perfect place to combine the family atmosphere with violence.

For this sequel, it was decided (I don't know why) to change directors and hire Timo Tjahjanto, an Indonesian director who has given us good action films such as "Headshot," "The Shadow Strays," and the legendary "The Night Comes for Us." This time, "Nobody 2" is the first American film directed by Timo, and I thought that his wild and violent style would be an important feature, but the reality is that, in my opinion, this director's work seems to have remained restrained, offering the most boring action scenes I have seen in any of his films. I think they missed a great opportunity to give free rein to a director with a lot of potential and a budget that is surely the highest he has ever worked with.

La historia es simple aunque me costó por momentos conectar con lo que es lo relevante del relato en esta secuela; seguir la historia de "Hutch" era algo inevitable y como dije anteriormente en la sinopsis, en esta oportunidad necesitaba recuperar la verdadera felicidad la cual (supuestamente) es estar con su familia, una la cual pareciera no perder la oportunidad de demostrar esa herencia violenta que padece el mismo protagonista lo cual espero que pueda ser desarrollada en una secuela aunque creo que es muy difícil que se realice, pero volviendo a lo que es esta película, me convenció el hecho de que el protagonista siga explorando sus necesidades sabiendo que cada vez más se hace viejo y que posiblemente para él sea tarde de cambiar o dejar atrás su vida violenta; esa historia enfocada en su protagonista creo que es lo mejor en toda esta corta franquicia.

A pesar de encontrar puntos positivos como por ejemplo la base de toda esta historia, creo que es una secuela que está muy por debajo de su predecesora; las escenas de acción son aburridas y simples así como los nuevos personajes que hacen apariencia en el film; creo que lo único que destacó de las escenas de acción es el hecho de recrear escenas que seguramente pudieron ser parte de algún film de acción de los 80' lo cual siempre me agrada de ver por la nostalgia y el reconocimiento a lo que considero la época dorada del género de acción en el cine, pero repito, lo que sucede posteriormente no es para nada bueno, ni divertido, ni destacable, es decepcionante, creo que se perdió una gran oportunidad de aprovechar el talento de Timo Tjahjanto y solo espero que en su próximo proyecto en suelo americano, "The Beekepper 2", si tenga plena libertad.

Despite finding positive points, such as the basis for the whole story, I think this sequel falls far short of its predecessor; the action scenes are boring and simplistic, as are the new characters that appear in the film. I think the only thing that stood out about the action scenes was the fact that they recreated scenes that could have been part of an 80s action film, which I always enjoy seeing because of the nostalgia and recognition of what I consider to be the golden age of the action genre in cinema. But I repeat, what happens afterwards is not good at all, nor is it fun or noteworthy. It's disappointing. I think a great opportunity was missed to take advantage of the talent of Timo Tjahjanto, and I just hope that in his next project on American soil, "The Beekeeper 2," he will have complete freedom.

Cuando era niño siempre veía películas de acción con mi padre, films de los 70' y 80', héroes de acción que no tenían ningún rival, siempre era lo mismo, tenían un pasado militar, estaban retirados, con familia, pero siempre existía algo que haría que estos personajes mostrarán quienes son en realidad, un gran número de films tiene está sinopsis y sin importar que tan repetitiva son estás historias, siempre las veía, peliculas como **Comando, Death Wish** y su gran número de secuelas, películas protagonizadas por _**Chuck Norris**_, la mayoría de estos films siempre se trataba de un hombre feliz, que deberá acabar con lo que justamente amenaza esa felicidad, películas de ese tipo desaparecieron, pero regresaron con el estreno y éxito de **TAKEN** y celebro que eso haya sucedido porque ahora puedo volver sentarme a ver otra vez películas con mi padre.

"Nobody" relata la historia de Hutch Mansell, un hombre de mediana edad, casa y con dos hijos, su vida es monótona, trabajar, sacar la basura, dormir y después repetir el mismo ciclo, un día su vida "normal" es afectada cuando unos ladrones roban su casa, su hijo es golpeado y el no hace nada, todos le recriminan porque lo ven como alguien débil, cobarde que no siquiera pudo defender a su hogar y su familia de dos simples maleantes, pero en realidad Hutch no es quien aparenta, él es alguien más, alguien que ha escondió durante mucho tiempo y está pidiendo volver a salir, es por eso que un día él regresara a quien es en realidad y con eso traerá consecuencias mortales, no para él sino para quien le traiga problemas.

Este film es dirigido por Ilya Naishuller, este director tiene una carrera dirigiendo videos musicales y este film de acción es su segunda vez dirigiendo un largometraje, me gustó mucho las escenas de acción, creo que debe ser una de las pocas veces que un director enfocado en videos musicales hace un buen trabajo en este tipo de films, sé que habrá otros que lo han hecho, pero destaco mucho las escenas de acción, preferiblemente la del bus el cual es mi favorita, toda la secuencia tal como está filmada y coreografiada es algo que me fascinó, para mí es una de las mejores escenas de pelea que he visto, es cruda, nada ostentosa ni exagerada, el cambio de visión a dentro del bus a afuera y desde la perspectiva de los envueltos en la pelea es algo que me pareció muy bien hecho y a pesar de que para mí esa escena es el pico de los mejor del film, las demás también está muy bien logradas.
El guion es por parte de Derek Kolstad quien es el creador de la hit de nada más y nada menos que John Wick, es por esto que podrán ver qué hay un tipo de relación entre estos films, con esto puedo decir que este film no es para nada original, pero creo que tampoco busque serlo, creo que en realidad explora cosas las cuales son que muchos aparentan ser algo que en realidad no son, esto sirve para el protagonista como para los otros muchos personajes en esta historia, me gusta que se desarrolle como existe una inestabilidad mental en Hutch, creo que es lo importante, de cómo la posible locura le hace caer en una situación que pone en peligro su vida y la de su familia, me gusta que se relate una etapa de su vida sin explorar tanto su pasado, lo necesario y eso da posibilidad a que haya un mejor desarrollo del personaje en posibles secuelas, me gusta el humor impuesto a Hutch, creo que es necesario para todo lo que enfrenta este personaje y lo mejor es la importancia ya que no hay nadie quien le quite el protagonismo.

This film is directed by Ilya Naishuller, this director has a career directing music videos and this action film is his second time directing a feature film, I really liked the action scenes, I think it must be one of the few times that a director focused on music videos does a good job in this kind of films, I know there will be others who have done it, but I highlight a lot the action scenes, preferably the bus scene which is my favorite, the whole sequence as it is filmed and choreographed is something that fascinated me, for me is one of the best fight scenes I've seen, it is raw, nothing ostentatious or exaggerated, the change of vision to inside the bus to outside and from the perspective of those involved in the fight is something that I found very well done and although for me that scene is the peak of the best of the film, the others is also very well done.
The script is by Derek Kolstad who is the creator of the hit of nothing more and nothing less than John Wick, this is why you can see what there is a kind of relationship between these films, with this I can say that this film is not at all original, but I think it does not seek to be, I think it really explores things which are that many appear to be something that in reality are not, this serves for the protagonist as for the many other characters in this story, I like that it develops as there is a mental instability in Hutch, I think that is the important thing, how the possible madness makes him fall into a situation that endangers his life and that of his family, I like that a stage of his life is told without exploring so much of his past, the necessary and that gives the possibility of a better development of the character in possible sequels, I like the humor imposed on Hutch, I think it is necessary for everything that faces this character and the best thing is the importance since there is no one who takes away the protagonist's role.

La actuación de Bob Odenkirk es buena, me gustó mucho su interpretación del personaje, más que nada cuando está tranquilo esperando a que "se abra la puerta" en momentos me hizo recordar a Charles Bronson en Death Wish, tiene ese vibra de esa misma interpretación a un vigilante buscando una excusa para querer hacer justicia, es aquí donde hablo de la inestabilidad mental que tiene este personaje, cansarse de una vida dónde todo era monotonía y explorar algo nuevo, tener una vida normal hasta cansarse para después regresar a una zona de confort llena de violencia, es un loco egoísta este personaje y eso es magnífico, un hombre solitario sin amigos, queriendo poder expresar lo que siente y que alguien pueda escucharlo, alguien con quién desahogarse y creo que eso es lo que más me gustó de la interpretación de este actor porque en cada gesto se ve que no la pasa bien, no se siente vivo y cuando regresa a sus raíces sabe que todavía no se siente de forma como la que quisiera estar, aunque es feliz, pero no pleno, debe ser una de las crisis de mediana edad más violentas que he visto en un film.

The performance of Bob Odenkirk is good, I really liked his interpretation of the character, especially when he is quiet waiting for "the door opens" at times reminded me of Charles Bronson in Death Wish, has that vibe of that same interpretation to a vigilante looking for an excuse to want to do justice, It is here where I talk about the mental instability that this character has, to get tired of a life where everything was monotony and explore something new, to have a normal life until he gets tired and then return to a comfort zone full of violence, this character is a selfish madman and that is magnificent, a lonely man without friends, wanting to be able to express what he feels and that someone can listen to him, someone to unburden himself to and I think that's what I liked most about the interpretation of this actor because in every gesture you can see that he is not having a good time, he does not feel alive and when he returns to his roots he knows he still does not feel the way he wants to be, although he is happy, but not full, it must be one of the most violent midlife crisis I've seen in a film.

Nobody es un gran film de acción, es una gran presentación de este personaje, no es nada original, pero eso en realidad no importa mucho porque tiene cosas que hacen que Hutch se vuelva en un icono de acción como le ha sucedido a otros personajes de este género; me gustó muchos las escenas de acción, la vida familiar de este personaje que muchos podrán sentirse identificados, de cómo podemos reaccionar a una situación y de las consecuencias que podemos tener, creo que eso es un punto importante en este film igual como lo es la comunicación, no solo de pareja sino con cualquiera, en realidad saber con quién puedes hablar, redactando esto pudieran pensar que este film es un gran drama de un hombre pensando que a la edad que tiene no sabe que es lo que quiere, pero es que está es la verdadera base de esta historia, una que por completo tiene peleas, disparos y muertes, creo que eso la hace mejor; espero que pronto reciban luz verde para seguir contando la historia de Hutch y de como un "Don Nadie" puede acabar con una parte de la mafia rusa, si no la han visto entonces espero que la vean muy pronto y disfruten de una divertida película de acción.

Nobody is a great action film, it's a great presentation of this character, it's not original at all, but that doesn't really matter much because it has things that make Hutch become an action icon as it has happened to other characters of this genre; I liked a lot the action scenes, the family life of this character that many can identify with, how we can react to a situation and the consequences we can have, I think that's an important point in this film as is the communication, not only as a couple but with anyone, actually knowing who you can talk to, writing this you might think that this film is a great drama of a man thinking that at the age he is he doesn't know what he wants, but that's the real base of this story, one that completely has fights, shootings and deaths, I think that makes it better; I hope they get the green light soon to continue telling the story of Hutch and how a "Nobody" can take down a part of the Russian mafia, if you haven't seen it then I hope you see it very soon and enjoy a fun action movie.

I see so many films that sometimes time goes by and I forget to review them. It also happens to me that some movies do not deserve a deep analysis, nor do they bring a message of sufficient weight to deserve an extensive review. That's why I've decided to do mini reviews of movies whose main purpose is to be entertaining, ideal to watch on a weekend, with family or friends.

Son tantas las películas que veo que a veces pasa el tiempo y se me olvida hacerles una reseña. También me pasa que algunas películas no ameritan un profundo análisis, ni aportan un mensaje de suficiente peso que merezca una extensa reseña. Por ese motivo he decidió hacer mini reseñas de películas cuyo principal propósito es ser entretenidas, ideales para ver un fin de semana, con la familia o amigos.

To start with this series of posts that I will publish in some occasions, I select two movies that I saw a couple of weeks ago, absolutely different. One is an action thriller and the other a horror comedy. But with both you will have a good time. You will have fun and distract your mind from everyday problems.

What is the plot of Nobody?

Hutch Mansell is a man who has a boring life. He has a job as an accountant in his father-in-law's company. His wife's name is Becca and they have two children, teenager Blake and little girl Abby. Hutch is a normal person, who seems to be going through a mid-life crisis. He is a nobody. One night a couple of burglars break into his house, he has the opportunity to beat up one of the intruders, but strangely he stops and decides to let them escape. Everyone looks at him as if he is a coward, even his own family. The next night he decides to track down the thieves to retrieve a kitten earring stolen from Abby. From that moment on his life will change after an encounter with a gang working for the Russian mob. How can this nobody fight so well? How will he escape from the Russian mob? Is his family in danger? What will Hutch do to get out of trouble? Who is really Hutch Mansell? Is he a nobody?

Hutch Mansell es un hombre que tiene una aburrida vida. Tiene un trabajo como contador en la empresa de su suegro. Su esposa se llama Becca y tienen dos hijos, el adolescente Blake y la niña Abby. Hutch es una persona normal, que parece estar pasando por la crisis de la mediana edad. Es un don nadie. Una noche una pareja de ladrones entran a su casa, el tiene la oportunidad de golpear a uno de los intrusos, pero extrañamente se detiene y decide dejarlos escapar. Todos lo miran como si fuese un cobarde, hasta su propia familia. La noche siguiente decide buscar a los ladrones para recuperar un pendiente de gatito robaron a Abby. Action, hand-to-hand fighting, blood, gunfire, death. Nobody is an excellent action movie that many compare to John Wick. The trigger for the action in both films has to do with animals. In John Wick it was when they killed the little dog that belonged to his deceased wife. In Nobody it's a kitten earring that belonged to Hutch's young daughter. How about a crossover of these two movies? Anything is possible, because Nobody's screenwriter is Derek Kolstad, creator of the John Wick franchise. Both characters could be cousins hahaha.

Bob Odenkirk , the same actor who plays Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and in his own series Better Call Saul, is the protagonist of this story. The actor plays Hutch, a man who seems to be stubbornly stuck in a gray life and who, upon feeling the thrill of the fight again, will awaken the beast inside him. The actor did a job of training the character to make the action scenes believable. The director is the Russian Ilya Naishuller who in 2015 made the crazy movie Hardcore, seen from the first person, video game style.

No one will let you down, it's a perfect choice for weekend viewing. You're sure to be thrilled to see Christopher Lloyd playing Hutch's father, in one of the film's best sequences.

Acción, peleas cuerpo a cuerpo, sangre, disparos, muertes. Nobody es una excelente película de acción que muchos comparan con John Wick. El detonante de la acción en ambas películas tiene que ver con animales. En John Wick fue cuando mataron el perrito que era de su difunta esposa. En Nobody es un pendiente de gatito de la hija pequeña de Hutch. ¿Qué tal seria un crossover de estas dos películas? Todo es posible, porque el guionista de Nobody es Derek Kolstad, creador de la franquicia de John Wick. Ambos personajes pueden ser primos jajaja.

Bob Odenkirk , el mismo actor que interpreta Saul Goodman en Breaking Bad y en su propia serie Better Call Saul, es el protagonista de esta historia. El actor interpreta a Hutch , es e hombre que parece obstinado de una vida gris y el volver a sentir las emoción de la lucha, despertara a la bestia que tiene por dentro. El actor hizo un trabajo de entrenamiento para el personaje y poder hacer las escenas de acción creíbles. El director es el ruso Ilya Naishuller de quien en el 2015 hizo la alocada película Hardcore, vista desde primera persona, al estilo de un videojuego.

Nobody no te defraudara, es una opción perfecta para ver el fin de semana. Estoy seguro que te emocionara ver a Christopher Lloyd interpretando al padre de Hutch, en una de las mejores secuencias del film.

What is the plot of Slaxx?

Libby McClean is a young woman who is thrilled to have been hired by a famous clothing store whose brand is trending worldwide. On her first day on the job she meets the obnoxious supervisor Craig. The superficial Hunter and Barb. The pretentious Lord and the nice Shruti, as well as other co-workers, each one dumber than the other. Yes, I know, a killer pant! It sounds totally crazy, but that's what the movie tells us. There are two screenwriters who developed this crazy, absurd but very funny idea: Patricia Gomez and Elza Kephart. Both have experience as additional crew and art deperatamento on films like The Smurfs 2, X-Men Apocalypse, Riddick, X-Men Days of Future Past, etc. I think after a crazy party with hallucinogenic drugs, they came up with the idea for the movie.

You may be thinking that the plot is too far fetched, that made me watch it and I thought it was a very funny movie. Elza Kephart directs it and takes us nimbly inside that store where frivolity dominates the personality of everyone who works there. The protagonist is like a fish out of water, excited to find the job of her dreams, but who will live a nightmare along with all those idiots.

It's a satire on the superficial world of fashion and even has an ecological message, targeting the big companies that exploit cheap labor in poor countries, so that first world youth can enjoy their empty lifestyle. A killer pants is crazy, but I laughed a lot and enjoyed the murder scenes. A perfect horror comedy to watch with your significant other on the weekend.

Si, lo sé. ¡Un pantalón asesino! Suena a locura total, pero eso es lo que nos cuenta la película. Son dos los guionistas que desarrollaron esta idea loca, absurda pero muy divertida: Patricia Gomez y Elza Kephart. Ambos tienes experiencia como additional crew y deperatamento de arte en películas como Los Pitufos 2, X –Men Apocalipsis, Riddick, X-Men Dias de futuros pasados, etc. Yo creo que después de una fiesta loca con drogas alucinógenas, se les ocurrió la idea del film.

Quizás estén pensado que la trama es demasiado descabellada, eso fue lo que me hizo verla y me pareció una película muy divertida. Elza Kephart la dirige y ágilmente nos mete dentro de esa tienda donde la frivolidad domina la personalidad de todos los que allí trabajan. La protagonista es como un pez fuera del agua, ilusionada por encontrar el trabajo de sus sueños, pero que vivirá una pesadilla junto a todos esos idiotas.

Es una satira del superficial mundo de la moda y además tiene hasta mensaje ecológico, apuntando a las grandes empresas que explotan la mano de obra barata en los países pobres, para que los jóvenes del primer mundo disfruten de su vació estilo de vida. Un pantalón asesino es una locura, pero yo me reí muchísimo y disfrute las escenas de asesinatos. Una comedia de terror perfecta para ver con tu pareja el fin de semana.
