Hola cinéfilos, es un grato placer el escribir para ustedes, en esta ocasión deseo compartir con ustedes sobre una película de uno de mis géneros preferidos, el drama bélico, un género que me agrada, ya que me gusta mucho la historia y la estrategia, así que disfruto de este tipo de filmes aun si en su trama no hay mucha acción.
¿Película sobre guerra que no posee acción?
Quizás muchos podrían preguntarse eso, sin embargo, hay que observar todo el panorama y como realmente se desarrolla un conflicto bélico, las películas hollywoodenses nos han bombardeado de un tipo de película, la del héroe patriota, aquel que posee puntería perfecta y una resistencia inimaginable, que puede enfrentarse a un puñado de enemigos sin tan solo recibir un rasguño, por otro lado, la realidad es que las verdaderas batallas comienzan con un grupo de personas y un mapa sobre la mesa. Así nos lo muestra este filme que el día de hoy deseo compartir con toda la comunidad.
Sinopsis:
En plena guerra mundial, los aliados estudian la posibilidad de comenzar a invadir a la Europa dominada por los Nazis, un objetivo estratégico es Sicilia, pudiendo servir de puente y además agregar protección a los barcos aliados, sin embargo, es un objetivo obvio al cual los alemanes han fortificado, sin embargo, los británicos crean un plan para engañar al enemigo y desviar su atención de Sicilia.
Análisis de la Película
Basada en Una Historia Real
Siempre estas palabras proporcionan un condimento especial en el filme, algo que le agrega valor indiscutiblemente, sobre todo, cuando se trata de una película sobre la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Siempre me ha parecido sumamente interesante ver producciones basadas en eventos importantes en nuestra historia y la Segunda Guerra Mundial significa un evento importante en nuestra historia como humanidad, cada evento trascendente dentro del conflicto más sangriento de todos los tiempos, posiblemente atraiga las miradas de los espectadores, en mi caso, no había conocido anteriormente un filme sobre esta operación llamada “carne picada” y simplemente no pude resistir en ver esta película.
Normalmente pensamos en las películas de guerra y a nuestra mente se vienen las imágenes de grandes ametralladoras, tipos rudos con un cigarro en la boca y con los brazos al descubierto, explosiones, tanques y mucha acción, un deleite para aquellos que desean que su corazón se acelere al estar observando una gran batalla, sin embargo, este filme recurre a un camino muy diferente a ese, por lo cual no podríamos catalogarlo como una película bélica dinámica o de acción, pero que pueden ser interesante para los que como yo, disfrutan de una buena y entretenida historia.
Las Dos Guerras
El filme nos otorga este concepto, “dos guerras”, una es librada en el campo de batalla, los hombres mueren, la lluvia de balas y fuego rodea las vidas de aquellos que se atreven a luchar contra el enemigo, la otra guerra, por otro lado, es aquella que es librada desde un escritorio y un mapa, una guerra oculta entre las sombras, en las que no son retribuidas la gloria de la victoria, pero están allí los combatientes, pensando, ideando la estrategia correcta para dominar un territorio con el menor número de bajas posibles y ganar la guerra, son personas que al parecer son comunes, pero que esconden rasgos que no muchos posee y que libran sus guerras personales, soportando la presión de que en sus decisiones lleva a cuestas la vida de miles de soldados y toda una nación.
La guerra del Espionaje
El espionaje juega un papel fundamental en esta película, la manipulación de la información, así como también el trabajo de dobles o hasta triples agentes que desvían la verdad hacia mentiras que provoquen alguna ventaja. Este filme se trata de a elaboración de un astuto plan de engaño con la finalidad de que el campo de batalla no se convierta en un mar de sangre de aquellos que luchan por el mundo libre.
En esta película observaremos como este plan se elabora, haciendo que la ficción sea tan real que hasta los mismos personajes por momentos se sientan confundidos, un plan con muchos agujeros que deben ser cubiertos, una batalla de inteligencia contra inteligencia y de información contra desinformación, que se librará en una pequeña oficina, un gran mapa y un par de teléfonos.
Drama
El filme es enteramente dramático, inclinándose un poco al romance por momentos, algo que siempre resulta otro de esos condimentos interesantes en una historia, su desarrollo es interesante y envolvente, siendo los personajes un buen sostén del drama y esa pincelada de romanticismo envuelto en un conflicto que cambiará la historia para siempre.
Esta es de esas películas lentas, pero que envuelven con su historia, por momentos existe la sensación de que todo está bajo control, pero que en algún punto el control se escurre entre las manos y queda la simple esperanza de que el plan haya tenido el efecto deseado, esto ocurre sobre el final, quizás con un control muy sostenido y haciendo desvanecer lo que en teoría podrían ser los antagonistas, es uno de los aspectos que quizás me pareció que podía mejorar.
Producción Británica
Este filme grita a los cuatro vientos que es inglesa, utiliza muchos de los recursos literarios icónicos de este país, así mismo construye sus personajes con esas características que tanto conocemos, hombres elegantes y elocuentes, inteligentes, pero cuidadosos, el tipo de personaje que sabe qué decir en cada circunstancia, sin embargo, por momentos se deja llevar por las emociones.
Fotografía
La fotografía del filme es otra de esas típicas características de los británicos, mostrando una Londres oscura, enigmática, pero al mismo tiempo elegante, siendo un trabajo técnico apropiado para el argumento y su narrativa, estableciendo desde un punto de vista visual un poco de intriga y de que un suceso muy oscuro está ocurriendo.

Opinión Final
Este es un filme interesante, un drama bélico donde nos encontraremos con inteligencia y espionaje, un tipo de guerra escondido en las sombras, pero que hace que se ganen las batallas, hay un dicho que dice “en la guerra y en el amor todo se vale”, así mismo los engaños contra el enemigo son una estrategia importante en el arte de la guerra y que pueden significar una gran victoria o la aniquilación.
Este filme se basa en uno de los eventos que quizás no muchos conocen debido a que existía un engaño aun mayor para desviar la atención de los alemanes antes del famoso día “D” donde los aliados colocan tropas en tierras francesas, sin embargo, y así como lo mencioné al principio de esta publicación, cada evento es relevante para la historia, y conocer los detalles de la Segunda Guerra Mundial siempre es atractivo para mí, en especial conocerlos de una manera entretenida como lo ha desarrollado este filme británico.
Quizás el aspecto que no tiene tanto peso en el filme son los antagonistas y la inteligencia alemana, se tiene la sensación de extrema superioridad de los ingleses haciendo que por un gran tramo no exista mucha tensión, aunque esa misma tensión escala muchos niveles en el clímax de la trama.
¿La Recomiendo?
Si, sin embargo, no es una película para todo el mundo, ya que es pausada y no hay espectacularidad de efectos especiales ni una acción intensa de batallas, es una batalla de inteligencia, pero que también nos hace tener en cuenta de la importancia de la estrategia y de las decisiones de personas tras un escritorio. Me parecen lo particular, una película entretenida, no una producción perfecta, ya que por momentos le falta emoción, sin embargo, logra mantener la atención del espectador, así mismo logra hacer pensar en esta historia luego de ver el filme.

This is what this film shows us, and today I want to share it with the whole community.

These words always provide a special spice to the film, something that adds undeniably to its value, especially when it is a film about the Second World War. I have always found it extremely interesting to see productions based on important events in our history and the Second World War signifies an important event in our history as humanity, every momentous event within the bloodiest conflict of all time is likely to attract the viewers' attention, in my case, I had not previously known a film about this operation called "mincemeat" and I simply could not resist watching this film.
Normally we think of war movies and images of big machine guns, tough guys with a cigar in their mouths and their arms outstretched, explosions, tanks and lots of action come to mind, a delight for those who want to get their heart racing watching a big battle, however, this film takes a very different route to that, so we could not classify it as a dynamic war movie or action movie, but it can be interesting for those who like me, enjoy a good and entertaining story.

The film gives us this concept, "two wars", one is fought on the battlefield, men die, the rain of bullets and fire surrounds the lives of those who dare to fight the enemy, the other war, on the other hand, is one that is fought from a desk and a map, a war hidden in the shadows, where the glory of victory is not repaid, But the combatants are there, thinking, devising the right strategy to dominate a territory with as few casualties as possible and win the war. They are people who appear to be ordinary, but who hide traits that not many possess and who wage their personal wars, bearing the pressure that their decisions carry the lives of thousands of soldiers and an entire nation.

This film shouts from the rooftops that it is British, it uses many of the iconic literary devices of this country, it builds its characters with those characteristics we are so familiar with, elegant and eloquent, intelligent but careful men, the kind of character who knows what to say in every circumstance, yet at times it gets carried away by emotions.
Photography
The cinematography of the film is another of those typical British characteristics, showing a dark, enigmatic, but at the same time elegant London, being an appropriate technical work for the plot and its narrative, establishing from a visual point of view a bit of intrigue and that a very dark event is happening.

This is an interesting film, a war drama where we will find intelligence and espionage, a type of war hidden in the shadows, but that makes the battles are won, there is a saying that says "in war and in love all is fair", likewise the deceptions against the enemy are an important strategy in the art of war and that can mean a great victory or annihilation.
This film is based on one of the events that perhaps not many know about because there was an even greater deception to divert the attention of the Germans before the famous "D" day where the Allies placed troops on French soil, however, and as I mentioned at the beginning of this publication, every event is relevant to history, and knowing the details of the Second World War is always attractive to me, especially knowing them in an entertaining way as this British film has developed.
Perhaps the aspect that doesn't carry as much weight in the film are the antagonists and the German intelligence, there is a sense of the extreme superiority of the British making for a large stretch there isn't much tension, although that same tension escalates many levels in the climax of the plot.
Do I recommend it?
Yes, however, it is not a film for everyone, as it is slow paced and there is no spectacular special effects or intense battle action, it is a battle of intelligence, but it also makes us realise the importance of strategy and the decisions of the people behind the desk. I find it an entertaining film, not a perfect production, because at times it lacks emotion, but it manages to keep the viewer's attention, and it also manages to make us think about this story after watching the film.
