In the world of cinema there are great actors who have had to take on very risky roles as others that are very easy, considering themselves to be very lucky, no doubt this time we will see a character who has to make a journey of many years in a ship, where we can do absolutely nothing, because the slightest mistake that is made everything will be damaged, no doubt things are not just a trip, but they wake up before reaching their destination and are totally distracted and lost, not knowing what to do. Loneliness is the worst thing that exists in this life, by the fact that you can not talk to anyone, hear the voice of another and many other things that affect being alone, creating a great despair and it remains to find a company in order to complete that destination and give some sense to the character's life.

This movie is known as Passengers and it mainly includes science fiction, adventure and a little romance that is being created, therefore, it will take us to see a very interesting movie, since it is something unique and even more in a ship, where the only thing we ask ourselves is: Will they get out alive, will they come back home, will communication and teamwork work work, which will work, and we have to be attentive to every second of it and see how these characters have to get that human side and put their feet on the ground.

This is an old movie, where my mom told me and after searching on different platforms I found it, which at first became a little annoying, meaningless and without knowing the destination of the trip, even so things are taking another path and if you do not hurry everything can end. What caught my attention and maybe it is something that we see in this movie is that if it is supposed to be a planned and studied trip, why wake up some time before their destination and more if they can return to the place where they should be, where I started looking after watching it and found nothing about that, therefore, I do not think that travel in a ship like that and much less alone.

The good thing and I liked that part is to be able to wake up someone and the interesting thing is that he makes the decision to wake up to a very beautiful, elegant woman and not to another human being and it is here where we notice a little romance and that love at first sight that is being created, since there are only the two of them against destiny and their ship that has to face many things and become the craziest passengers, lucky, in search of finding a solution to all that and return.

It is a production that is very simple and is almost two hours of film, which I think could have been less, since they placed filler things at the time, realizing that they are in a situation in the middle of nowhere, and other things that we have already seen. Also, it highlights a bit that teamwork, to be able to agree and show that they are going to love each other so that this trip can end with the presence of the girl. In my case, I would have woken up two more people and that way I could have created a small team to solve things faster, but we are human beings and we only have one chance.

That's why Passengers is a movie to have a different time, to see things from other genres and be prepared to see a quality movie or a failure, but there is no other choice but to finish it. Where I admire people who take and risk their lives to make that kind of trips to space, whether to study, explore or cage something else and are people who put their lives at risk, so if you are looking for something to see and a very crazy trip, do not miss it.

  2. "Passengers" by Morten Tyldum - not so bad as I expected - movie review@godflesh2974d

At first sight familiar story - a boy sees a girl. The boy falls in love with a girl. Just that in the cosmos during a trip in which they should not be awake. Have you confused now? What happens when you take two of the most popular young actors in Hollywood, with a good director and put Michael Sheen for balance? The answer is "Passengers", Norwegian Morten Tildum's movie with Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, and the powerful Morpheus - Laurence Fishburne. Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) wakes up 90 years earlier than planned on board the spacecraft Avalon, who traveled for 120 years to a distant colony of the Earth. A technical mistake or a complete accident is made by the only person who deliberately dwells in the ship in the company of robot-bartender Arthur (Michael Sheen) and finds various ways to entertain for one year, of course, barely succeeding in avoiding suicidal thoughts, because very early it becomes clear that there is no way to return to hibernation and reach the final destination. After all this painful and lonely time for him, it turns out that another traveler of thousands of sleeping wakes up earlier than planned. Not just any traveler, but the beautiful Aurara Lane (Jennifer Lawrence). The two passengers have no choice but to start a love story that supports them mentally and in one way or another - in their state of doom - makes them happy.

In the early minutes of the movie Chris Pratt is quite pleasing even as if alone as the only one who is awake. Actor's presence fills the screen literally and figurative, as it is nearly two feet tall. In the last few years, the roles for which they chooses him carry his positivity of life. After his brutal physical transformation for the first film of "The Guardians of the Galaxy", Hollywood puts him on a pedestal, and he absolutely deserves his place there - not just with the newly acquired tibia, but also with his behavior, humor and attitude to life. The truth is, personally, I can not imagine a better actor about Jim Preston's role or more precisely someone who has had such chemistry with Jennifer Lawrence. Jim Preston of Pratt is desperate, happy, in love, rejected, with many real emotions and behaviors, and he becomes the center of his existence in the cosmos. Jennifer Lawrence has been Hollywood's golden girl for many years now. Her collaborations with director David O. Russell and actor like Bradley Cooper usually wear her at least an Oscar nomination, and even the statuette herself a few years ago. And even though she is sometimes overrated for her roles, in life Laurence proves to be a real dude with her earthly behavior. Like Aurara Lane in "Passengers" she is very beautiful in the first place. Hardly anyone watching the movie can forget the white swimsuit that her hero floats in the pool of the spacecraft. Yes, there is a pool. There is absolutely everything but awake human presence. Aurora Lane is a strong woman with dreams and ambitions that has the self-confidence of very beautiful and intelligent as it is. In the real life beyond the ship, the two men with the ordinary mechanic Jim Preston would hardly ever meet, but they fell in love, but here they fall into a situation where they find each other. And she is magnificent in her love, her anger, and all the other emotions she goes through to him.

Morten Tyldum shook me with his previous movie. "The Imitation Game" was not just a story, it was a mission. A mission for the entire movie team who told me that the injustice against genius Alan Thuring has made them do their best to tell what happened to him. If we go back to the Norwegian filmmaker's career, we will also find the film that attracts world attention to it for the first time - the criminal thriller "Head Hunters". With all due respect to Morten Tyldum , I do not think that "Passengers" was the right choice for him. Other directors cope better with space and if he did not manage to get these two actors in the lead, then the movie would be brutally sinking. Unfortunately, cosmos is not for everyone. The film is by no means a masterpiece, but it is a pleasant journey to another world, which, though distant, retains its humanity and sincerity. In their cosmic, doomed love, the audience may very much like the heroes. And although movie critics in most cases ruin the film and tilt the scales of his world box office success, there are opinions of both poles. Some call it the Titanic among the stars - a touching and hearty story of loss and love appropriate to the generation of "Gravity," and others say that "what does not reach" Passengers "is not just the lack of surprise in the movie, but that it is doomed love story in the largest, empty mall in space. " I would rather shake my flag in the middle of these allegations. Magnificent chemistry between the two actors and yes, a simple story in which there are definitely imperfections, but they leave you with a pleasant feeling, which we often need, instead of wondering what cinematic opinion to give or what a bigger problem to find in another Hollywood blockbuster.
