  1. ¿Escapar?

Prison is the justice of men: the deadly punishment for human crimes. How is it then that an innocent can fall for it? Sometimes the just pay for sinners, even if they are not. Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), unlike the common citizen, is capable of sacrificing everything in order to go to prison, not to serve a punishment, on the contrary: to save his brother from injustice. To do this, he must break the system and develop a tactical plan... freedom is not that easy and, if not planned well, it can lead to eternal darkness. Willing to lose his life and not his dignity, Scofield joins a group of inmates to escape imprisonment, but not before learning the consequences of his loyalty.

The first time I saw Prison Break I was still on the eve of my teens: I still reeked of teen shows and cartoons from Cartoon Network. By then the Michael Scofield story was very popular and one could hardly hear anything that wasn't about him, his brother, a sore lawyer and the consequent broken hearts. I heard many girls sigh for the actor Wentworth Miller and for some reason I also saw them cry. Of course it was indifferent to me because I only wanted to listen to Kudai (a Pop Rock band, XD) and talk about things about mathematics. It wasn't for long so, unable to resist the idea of watching the series, I bought the Prison Break DVD and dedicated a whole weekend to it.

It was impossible not to have tachycardia while watching this story because the suspense that dominated and the unexpected plot twists kept me with my eyes on the television screen and my heart in my throat. In a moment Scofield and his gang were ready to escape and in the blink of an eye all his plans were going to waste. The matter was not easy because they were facing the United States system itself, and worse still: those who wanted to corrupt it.

A total of five seasons were enough (or perhaps too much) to finish a series that touched on the axis of the prison with and without bars, because in the end the confinement suffered by Scofield and his brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) went further. of a simple sentence; it became an obsession and, in turn, a line of harsh events. There is no peace, not even for the viewer; only impatience and nerves that attack teeth and nails.

LOL.

From being a brat with no notion of police television, I became addicted to the suspense that came from it. It was not something positive because I considered the standards of Prison Break as qualities that any American production should have to convince me. Ideas at last from an amateur! However, the pace of the following seasons and the same pattern of bars and escape ideas started to bore me at some point. The twists weren't so amazing anymore and I even started to see them as exaggerated. What was wrong with me? Perhaps the recent change of generation and the arrival of other equally impressive television works influenced my critical evaluations, led by my younger brother and his constant recommendations on "best series."

I have no reason to despise Prison Break, of course it has been one of the best productions I've seen in my life. Scofield taught me something worth thinking about in any circumstance: simple pattern analysis and unconventional strategies. What a man our protagonist! Always with the crazy ideas that ended up bailing out the prisoners who followed him, and who were not as innocent as his brother Lincoln. I got too attached, however, to the lawyer... (I attach tears) and from that moment I knew that I shouldn't get attached to any character, something that Game of Thrones later confirmed to me (more tears for a change, XD).

The American prison system has always been of special interest to me, not because I want to be part of it (nor being a police officer, XD) but because of the strict rules that exist in it and the death sentences that derive from it. They are not like the prisons in my country (I wish they were) and also the strict American law does not forgive or justify mistakes. So many judicial bodies and organizations like the FBI, for example, make it even more interesting. Now imagine trying to escape from such a rigorous prison system… would you see it as possible? It is better not to check. LOL.

¿Ya has visto Prison Break?

If I have to choose my favorite season, I'd say it's the second. There was such an ever-changing plot that at the end of each episode I ended up with my eyes as wide as those sock puppets. In the end the prison, although it did not exist, became a whole county; the idea of freedom was not consolidated and, to make everything worse, the figure of Mahone (William Fichtner) emerged, a strategic character who did not leave the easy path for Scofield. The successive death of characters and the appearance of others, as well as the incorporation of a new prison environment gave this television series a complete change, at least in its original direction.

It was in Prison Break that I met some actors for the first time, including Sarah Wayne, who also starred in The Walking Dead as Lori. I cannot classify this television series as the best story of all time, but as one of the good ones and one that is not forgotten. Sometimes it's good to remember old times, and what better than a jewel like this? Hardly one gets bored, rather anxiety wins, XD. I think I would even include it in the television works not suitable for the faint of heart... just kidding, but not that much.

Have you seen Prison Break yet? Feel free to share your experience watching this television series in the comments, ;-).

  2. Prison Break - Tv Series@claudio831868d

Prison break was one of my first TV series and the first season, consisting of 24 episodes, was really brilliant. The theme is original and the episode in the episode grows the desire to immediately look at the next episode because the creators have seen fit to end it with an important event whose outcome can only be discovered by following the next episode.

    prison_break_wallpaper_prison_break_8342405_1280_800.jpg Font

The story takes place inside the For River maximum security prison and Michael Scofield, a brilliant engineer decides to get arrested to help his brother Lincoln Burrows already detained for a murder, in his view not completed, and sentenced to death. The alternation of the actions is very linear and smooth and it is possible to follow very carefully every single second, learning also some hints of construction engineering. During the first season Michael is busy discovering all the details of the prison thanks to the help of the layout that he had tattooed all over his body in a very ingenious way.

The beauty of the show is that nothing goes as it was designed and evasion must be continually changed based on the unexpected, such as the meeting with some prisoners and their involvement in the escape plan. Prison break also describes the conditions in which prisoners are forced to live, often the cells are overcrowded and continued permanence in closed and restricted places causes friction and violent clashes between prisoners, with serious consequences for the protagonists.

The beauty of the first season tends to get lost with the others as that attention to history and detail fades, making the story a bit monotonous, which leads to classic shootings or car leaks. In fact it was quite difficult to continue the story at the levels of the first season. I would have preferred it not to go beyond the second one but I imagine that the success and the big economic revenues have stimulated the development of further seasons stopping at the fourth, before proceeding at a distance of years with a new season.

    ITA

  3. Prison Break Review - Time to Escape@reviewzzz2205d

When love, sacrifice and intelligence meet in one person, this is Michael, who has decided to sacrifice his life and career in exchange for his brother's help. A very smart architect works and earns well, but he decides to go to prison without thinking until he saves his brother. In this series, the meaning of sacrifice is revealed to us, as we will see tactical intelligence and good planning in the most famous escape from prison in the history of cinema.

    image.png

    The story

Initially, Linkin Porus was imprisoned for problems with his difficulty and charged with murder, but he did not do so and was on the verge of execution. Here his brother Michael appears to decide to enter the prison, which he had previously contributed to his design, as he works as an architect. Michael goes to a bank with a pistol in a clear robbery without any mask. In broad daylight, the police came and arrested him, and indeed the verdict was made. He must be imprisoned to enter the Fox River County prison with his brother. It was not easy for Michael at first to escape, especially with the harassment he found from prison. Michael tried to discover the prison well by watching the guards, digging a tunnel through his cell, and making up some problems until he saw the guards react And the level of insurance in prison. Michael Much had to show some pretense of the disease in order to go to the prison hospital and there the angel meets the treatment doctor there. But things never go well as a prison officer notices Michael's strange behavior, that corrupt officer who was taking advantage of prisoners and taking bribes from them and was known to be dirty in prison. And it gets worse when some prisoners discover Michael's escape plan and blackmail him by making them flee with him but asking them for help in return. Michael continues to plan and the harassment continues around him, but over time he gains more friendships The escape has become even easier.

    image.png

    An impression of the story

The story of the series as an idea is not new, but the implementation was completely different, with several genius actors such as T-Bag, Michael and Linkin The series had another flavor, as well, the wonderful scenario of the story was worthy of raising the hat. The film shows us the meanings of sacrifice between the brothers and the meanings of love, which seemed apparent when someone entered the prison to save his brother. Genius is an innate talent that Michael used to get his brother out of prison. The sincere feelings that formed then continue, and this is evident in Michael's relationship with the doctor. The dialogues in the series were the most wonderful. The series was a mixture of thriller and drama as there were more comedies. The series is not the type that you watch an episode and leave the series, but you can end it completely unless you become sleepy. I remember watching 5 episodes in a row.

    image.png

    Photography and production

Photography was very creative in terms of the distinctive camera shots and anticipation that occurred from time to time The magnificence of photography showed us in the transfer of the camera between the guards and Michael, in many cases The scenes of many of the series were full of excitement and anticipation, and the camera had a role in highlighting this. The producer seems to have spent well on this wonderful job as there was everything as it should be from a full prison and dungeon Security guards, police vehicles, etc. But I think the biggest factor in the success of the series is the selection of the main and secondary characters who performed above the excellent performance. image.png

  4. Prison Break Season 5 episode 4 (spoilers)@gooddream2911d

So after their escape in episode 3 that failed (and subsequently surprised no one since it was only episode 3) things finally get moving a bit quicker as we find ourselves returning to the tense Prison Break experience which is what everyone loves about this series anyway.

    4221396001_5279170183001_5279161719001-vs.jpg

If you haven't watched the show and want to I encourage you to turn back now because I am going to be giving away important information.

ISIL has conveniently broken through the government checkpoints on the outskirts of town, thus necessitating the departure of all the prison guards. Before departing they have locked Michael and his crew in solitary confinement and also locked the rest of the prisoners in the general population area while fleeing out of fear of ISIL. Apparently, everyone else in the prison feels as though they are going to be killed once ISIL reaches them. There is one exception to the presumed upcoming slaughter: A high-ranking ISIL member inside the prison named Ramal.

    Prison-Break-Season-5-Episode-4-2-1f38.jpg

The other prisoners decide to capture Ramal and use him as a bargaining chip for when ISIL arrives and Michael seems to be indifferent to whether or not the rest of the prisoners get a hold of him but the only way out of the cells they currently occupy resides inside of Ramal's cell. Therefore Michael has to join forces with this man.

At the last minute (as is tradition in Prison Break,) Ramal is able to open Michael's cell with the tools that are stashed inside the cells for some reason but no one ever found them before and they are able to elude their would be captors. Michael returns to the general population area and eventually they climb over the wall to escape the prison.... which begs the question... if that was an option for all the prisoners once the guards were gone anyway, why didn't they just do that? It would have been too easy I guess because Lincoln arrives back at the prison with the main gate key and releases everyone just as he sees Michael and his crew jumping over the wall.

Back in the USA we are thankfully given a chance to see the best character in the show, Theodore Bagwell become a bigger part of the story. Theodore has been targeted in some capacity by an ex CIA operative named Poseidon, whose true identity no one seems to know. Theodore tries to pry this information out of a government official and was making good headway when some silenced assassin gunshots hit both of them. T-Bag manages to escape, but the government official (named Kellerman, but it doesn't matter anymore) gets killed by these rogue agents that we don't yet know the identity of. It is presumed they have something to do with Poseidon.

landscape-1478015951-prison-break-t-bag.jpg if it wasn't for this guy, i probably would have stopped watching the series a while ago, he is that good

There are some really good scenes in this one, the pacing was intense the entire way through the episode and it was genuinely entertaining for the full 50 minutes or so. I know that I was saying less-than-stellar things about it based on the earlier episodes, but if EP 4 is at all indicative of what future episodes are going to contain, I'm gonna stick with it for now.

  5. Prison Break season 5 review@mediaguy2999d

I didn't want to watch this season at first because season 4 of Prison break was terrible which did not give me hope for this. Seasons 2 and especially 1 were brilliant, but the show went downhill fast after that due to a writers strike. I didn't even watch the last episodes of season 4. Season 5 surprised me, that it was actually good. Especially the first half of the season that was packed with tension and action as they had to escape a prison in a warzone. This season had hints of the original and some of the second season but it dragged at times during the second half. I recommend watching it, the whole thing. I was horrified to learn that they are making a 6th season after this season wrapped up so nicely. Where can they go from here? I'm sure it won't be anywhere good and will probably be unwatchable like season 4.
