Queenpins was released in 2021, directed by Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly, produced by AGC Studios, Marquee Entertainment & Red Hour Productions, and has a duration of 1 hour and 50 minutes. It is a comedy film, the story focuses on Connie Kaminski who has a very unfortunate life, people constantly tend to not give importance to her achievements and even despise her, after having a miscarriage and having an unpleasant husband. To fill her void with coupons, she shares her passion with her friend JoJo, who is also not going through the best financial situation because her identity has been usurped. Es un filme de comedia, la historia se centra en Connie Kaminski la cual tiene una vida bastante lamentable, constantemente las personas suelen no darle importancia a sus logros e incluso llegan a menospreciarla, después de tener un aborto espontáneo y teniendo a un esposo desagradable trato de llenar su vacío con los cupones, comparte su pasión con su amiga JoJo, la cual tampoco se encuentra pasando por su mejor situación económica debido a que usurparon su identidad, debido a esta situación a Connie se le ocurre la idea de aprovechar un vacío legal de los cupones para hacer un negocio, sin embargo esta aventura estará cargada de altibajos por todos lados.

The soundtrack is okay, it's nothing impressive but it's not like you can expect much from that section for a comedy film.

The same thing happens with world building as with the previous point, there is not much that makes this section stand out because the premise of the film cannot give it an interesting use that is congruent with the focus of the film.
Con la construcción de mundo sucede igual que con el punto anterior, no hay mucho que haga destacar a este apartado debido a que la premisa del filme no puede darle un uso interesante y que sea congruente con el enfoque de la cinta.

The plot is fun and full of nonsense, throughout the film various events happen which are perfectly seasoned with a number of imbecilities that give it a certain degree of humor, the story it tells is good but honestly the ones are more interesting. jokes. Narratively there is not much, the story unfolds without too much complexity, again I highlight, it shines more for having fun moments than for anything else. The length is fine, it gives it time to properly develop its premise, and, most importantly, it has humorous moments that ensure that the film does not feel tedious at any time.
La trama es divertida y cargada de tonterías, a lo largo del filme van sucediendo diversos eventos los cuales se encuentran perfectamente sazonados con un sin número de imbecilidades que le dan cierto grado de gracia, la historia que cuenta está bien pero sinceramente son más interesantes los chistes. Narrativamente no hay mucho, la historia transcurre sin demasiada complejidad, nuevamente destaco, está brilla más por el hecho de tener momentos divertidos que por otra cosa. La duración está bien, le da tiempo a desarrollar de forma correcta su premisa, y, lo más importante, tiene momentos jocosos que se encargan de que el filme no se sienta tedioso en ningún momento.

The characters are very absurd in a good way, they have a good degree of clumsiness in their actions that makes them likable, several of these have a certain degree of characterization but these are quite basic elements that do not really aspire to make the character more complex or something that resembles it, they do their job of being equal parts decent and stupid protagonists.
Los personajes son muy absurdos en el buen sentido, estos tienen un buen grado de torpeza en sus acciones que los hace agradables, varios de estos tienen cierto grado de caracterización pero estos son elementos bastante básicos que no aspiran realmente a hacer al personaje más complejo o algo que se le asemeje, cumplen con su labor de ser protagonistas decentes y estúpidos a partes iguales.
Queenpins is part of that group of films that is stupid in a good way, it does not really aspire to have a deep message or anything similar, in fact, it is more oriented towards simplicity and absurd situations more than anything else, This makes it quite pleasant in general terms. It is for all the above that it deserves 3 stars out of 7, it is the typical film that only seeks to make you laugh with the various silly things it contains without having the slightest intellectual demand.
Queenpins forma parte de ese grupo de películas que es estúpida en el buen sentido, no aspira realmente a tener un mensaje profundo ni nada que se le asemeje, es más, se encuentra más orientada a la simpleza y las situaciones absurdas más que otra cosa, esto la hace bastante agradable a rasgos generales. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 3 estrellas de 7, es el típico filme que solo busca sacarte una carcajada con las diversas cosas tontas que contiene sin tener la más mínima exigencia intelectual.
