"Be the change you want to see in the world."
(Mahatma Gandhi)
I firmly believe that human beings are capable of building the road, of building societies and of changing the world. If in this journey we find stones, we seek the necessary strength to remove them. Of course, we only have to believe, be motivated, and fight for change. If the conditions are not suitable, they will always invent ways; with their creativity they will adapt them to feel good and comfortable. As, for example, the one who arrives to an empty and cold house; he will clean, put flowers and curtains to make it more pleasant and cozy.
Sometimes you need an impulse to move and act. Especially when you have gone through difficult situations; however, with support and solidarity, moments of sadness and pain are alleviated and it is easier to continue building dreams. As our friend Helen Keller said: "Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming". It is necessary to learn from our mistakes and give value to what we have, only in this way we will be able to chart a new course in our lives.
Believe it or not, giving our support, a hand, a pat on the shoulder and a smile can change societies and the world. Indifference to other people's problems makes us insensitive beings. It is a mistake to believe that we deserve everything without even working to get it. This paradigm must be left behind, since it has been proven that working together and as a team for our goals and dreams, and for societies is what makes us achieve what we desire and our goals faster.
Take my hand, let's walk together and change the world.
#
Human beings, we inhabit an entire planet, together we have to find ways to survive, and strive to achieve changes that benefit us all. It is not about big projects, nor big investments, nor shouting with a megaphone in the street, much less attending endless meetings that in the end do not reach any conclusion. This is not what should be sought, the idea is to sow consciences and hold hands and work together as a team for the good of humanity.
To work for the good of our home and family, communities and society; it is a cascade effect, everything that is done will affect the planet. Give a little of our time for the benefit of all human beings, such as: planting a tree, creating suitable conditions for raising children and adolescents, family planning, not wasting water, not throwing garbage on the streets or in the waterways, being respectful of neighbors and society, fulfilling our duties as citizens among many other things.
Walking together and working as a team

We do have to change our way of thinking, acting, customs and habits. We have to do it and that's it. Sometimes we don't know what we are capable of until we have to face adversity. This example of teamwork to improve the conditions of society is captured in the movie Change of Habit. The protagonist is forced to change the course of her life, with her smile and attitude she changes the conditions of the convent and the surrounding community.
Deloris or Sister Mary Clarence, is naughty since she was a child and manages to get to work in a bar, where she sings. This makes me laugh because the nun read her future and sentenced her. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Her whole life was a sin for society. Specifically for society because for me, everyone has the right to live their life as they wish. To hide herself she arrives at the convent where she has to start a new life. She makes friends and .... (I won't tell you more). If you haven't seen it, look for it so you can enjoy the madness of these little nuns.
OMG, how time flies, in a few months it will be 31 years since this movie was released. It is a musical comedy directed by American Emile Ardolino and Buena Vista Pictures Distribution. I have seen this film many times, I found it in Disney Plus and I took the opportunity to see it again, for an hour and forty minutes I enjoyed once again the smiles and inventions of Whoopi Goldberg and the little nuns covering her to hide what she was doing to the mother superior.
Deloris or Sister Mary Clarence has to abruptly change her life and habits to survive. She finds it difficult to adapt to the customs of the convent. She revolutionizes with her initiatives to raise income for the convent. One of the scenes I like the most is when she is threading a needle, she says: "I won't manage to do it, it's too complicated for me" and Sister Mary Patrick replies: "Don't worry, you'll make it, it's too complicated for me":
Don't worry, you'll make it, I'll help you -
Music brings them together, and together they work as a team to improve their conditions and those of the nearby community. With an eye on the proposed goal, to raise funds for the convent. Here is one of the melodies performed by the choir.
Friends of the #Movies&Shows Community, human beings are capable of changing their perspective on life and achieving great things, the protagonist of the film Change of Habit, turned around to improve as a human being. She found in the convent a family, where they supported each other.

"A dream doesn't come true through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work."
I will follow him Sister act HD Cambio de hábitos.

Today I want to share with you a film from 1992, which even today is still in the hearts of the audience, first of all because it is so funny and also because of the enormous charisma of Whoopi Goldberg in each of her scenes.
It all begins when Deloris Van Cartier (Whoopi Goldberg), a successful singer at a famous casino in Reno, becomes an unwitting witness to a crime committed by Vince de la Roca, who was her lover. She has to flee to avoid him trying to silence her by killing her, so she turns to the police and Lieutenant Eddie Souther decides to hide her in a convent where she would have to pretend to be just another nun in order to try to go unnoticed. The real challenge of her life comes when the Reverend Mother Superior asks Deloris to help the church choir, made up of several nuns, who are very disorganised, making their music tedious and boring, but injects them with a good dose of her energy and charisma, making it fun, fresh and above all attractive not only to the regular parishioners, but also to the people who arrive every Sunday, including young people who would never have imagined spending a Sunday morning in church.
This film is great because of Whoopi Goldberg's usual naturalness, her character is as charismatic as she is, it has a lot of funny scenes, however, in my humble opinion what makes it special is the fact how much you can learn about music with her, both in this film and in the sequel, it also leaves you with many positive messages, among them, the fact that you can't judge a book by its cover and above all that if you dare to combine the traditional with new ideas you can have very good results, sometimes we refuse to make positive changes just for fear of failure or even "what will they say about me? " But if we take a little risk, trying new things, we can shine.
This film talks about opening the heart and leaving prejudices behind because when Deloris arrives at the convent she complains a lot, she thinks that this place is not for her (something quite natural, taking into account the contrast that makes this sacred place with the one she used to in the casino) but she practically isolates herself because she thinks that her companions are boring, however in reality they want to integrate her to their group, the Mother Superior on the other hand, is a strict woman who does not admit changes, she is full of prejudices towards Deloris for coming from such a pagan place as Reno, and even when she could see the enormous change that the choir had with the musical arrangements of "Sister Mary Clarence" (Deloris) she simply closed her mind, without caring if the change was favourable or not, although the priest does not agree with her and on the contrary he congratulates Mery Clarence.
And speaking specifically about this moment I can only tell you that I perceived a lot of happiness, both in the faces of the nuns and Deloris, clearly you can see that they are doing what they love, what they are passionate about, as Deloris (Mary Clarence) said "Don't forget that you are singing for the Lord" she taught them that even though they were not singing for the public, but for God, they should sing with soul and enthusiasm, be authentic and happy, and that their singing would not only connect them with God, but would attract the public to him, people would come to him, people would come to church out of conviction, not obligation.
With Mary Clarence's changes step by step the church choir became so good, dynamic and fun but organised, and also attracted so many people to the church, that even the mother superior could not deny it, moreover even the pope had heard about them and wanted to come and see them, Deloris proved to the mother superior that she was not just a common casino singer, but a professional woman who knows her job very well, who in spite of being carefree takes music seriously and applies discipline, these positive changes encouraged the sisters by proving that with a little effort, discipline and perseverance one can achieve great things and go very far.
Deloris, who became Mary Clarence, helped the choir a lot, not only to improve their skills, but also to gain confidence, but especially Sister Mary Robert, who was the least confident, afraid to stand out and this fear affected her barely audible voice, but when Deloris taught her some vocal techniques and also injected her with a dose of confidence, she let her talent come to the surface, standing out in the choir with her great voice.
I like this scene not only because it is hilarious, but also because it shows that the sisters, no matter if Mary Clarence lied to them and she is not a real nun, but a casino singer called Deloris, they already consider her part of the group, they are grateful to her and want to protect her at all costs, they already consider her as part of the group, they are grateful to her and they want to protect her at all costs, moreover, the mother superior also goes with them to rescue her and she even shows her cunning by persuading the helicopter pilot to take them to Reno for free, she does it through prayers where she asks God to have mercy on that man who didn't want to take them 🤣.
It's a great movie that I love for all the reasons I already explained, I find it fresh, dynamic, even today, with several positive messages that mainly lead you to believe and trust in your abilities, to work every day to improve them and not to judge anyone, to whoever hasn't seen it I recommend it, you will have a great time watching this movie. Thank you very much for your attention, friends, see you next time.
High concepts are popular in Hollywood because, on occasion, high concept films can deliver spectacular results. One of such examples can be found in Sister Act, 1992 comedy directed by Emile Ardolino.
The protagonist, played by Whoopie Goldberg, is Deloris Wilson a.k.a. Deloris Van Cartier, struggling lounge singer in Reno, Nevada. Her career is going nowhere and her private life isn’t any better, because she is stuck in poor relationship with Vince LaRocca (played by Harvey Keitel), a mobster who happens to be married. One day she accidentally see Vince and his goons execute alleged police informant. She immediately becomes target, but manages to escape and contact Lieutenant Eddie Souter (played by Bill Nun), police detective who puts her into protective custody. Souter has found an seemingly ingenious way to hide Deloris from Vince’s assassins – she is to take identity of Catholic nun named Sister Mary Clarence and live in St. Katherine’s, Carmelite monastery in San Francisco. Deloris, who is a wordly woman, at first has trouble adjusting to new and austere way of life, but gradually finds new friends among other nuns and discovers a way to put her talent to something useful. Reverend Mother (played by Maggie Smith) makes Deloris join convent’s choir, where she soon begins training other nuns and arranging traditional hymns in rock’n’roll style. This approach, which also includes singing rock standards with religious lyrics, brings many new people to church but also an unwanted attention that could lead Vince to her.
Script by Paul Rudnick (credited under pseudonym “Joseph Howard”) was based on the simple idea – wordly singer forced to live in convent – and didn’t want to complicate matters. Continuing with decades-long tradition of symbiotic relationship between Hollywood and Cahtolic Church, which was still strong in early 1990s, script tries to brush aside an issue of Church as socially conservative institution in increasingly liberal and progressive world. It suggests that Church can become “cool”, “hip” and modern simply by applying new music choices. Director Emile Ardolino, best known for his great hit Dirty Dancing, seemed suitable for this approach and the best part of the film are musical numbers, as well as the middle section, when protagonist finds herself in all kinds of “fish out of water” situations. This segment, as well as the rest of film, works very well due to immense talents of Whoopie Goldberg who makes the character of Deloris, despite some questionable choices, likeable. The rest of cast is good, including Maggie Smith who brings gravitas in the role of Reverend Mother; Wendy Makkena, Kathy Najimy and Mary Wickes are even better in the nuns’ roles. Bill Nunn is solid as police detective, but Harvey Keitel is wasted in one-dimensional and poorly written role of mob boss. The final sections of the film, when nuns have to rescue Deloris from mobsters’ den, are atrocious and almost ruin entire experience. Thankfully, energetic performances, good music and generally positive vibes of the script make Sister Act a good film. Despite less than enthusiastic reviews, Sister Act became one of the biggest hits of the year. In 1993 a sequel was made under title Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit.
