There are some series that are overly hyped. Some that are just the latest trends and some that no one likes and yet for some reason is still being recommended and still on the charts. I had that kind of mindset when planning to dive into the world of Saint.
Snowfall
*** ### Plot > It's the 1980's and drug is the new budding business. A crime family intends to make money selling cocaine and a CIA operative gets involved. Franklin, an ordinary black boy notices the flourishing drug establishment and wants to get a piece of the pie, actually, he wants to get as much as he can. *** How I started this series was quite spontaneous. I had gone to a friend's housewarming party and after dancing and celebration, I was looking for some movies to pass the time. Coincidentally, the friend had just collected the first season of snowfall from her brother and so I was sat with some drinks. She slept off thirty minutes later, but after three hours and 4 episodes I was hooked on the show.  The sheer determination of Franklin is one thing that grips the audience from the beginning. He's aware of what he's about to get into. He knows that the money isn't clean and is hardly without risk. Yet that urge to escape the system and the caste of "the average black man" was strong on him and he kept on.  One thing the movie makes no joke about his showing how **real** it can get. From broken deals to unplanned shootouts and a few hours later there are bodies in bags being buried in the desert. This is the excitement in Cinema that some series miss.  Another good thing these series had were the colorful characters and god the gangsters were extra colorful always ready to bite at the first level of disrespect 😂😂
Crazy folks that you don't even know what their next move. Sometimes they make you believe they don't know what their next move would be. The actors who played them have my respect for their actions was superb, especially this guy...
He was one who was always a joy on the screen. His insanity knew no bounds and his sense of humor was something I really enjoyed😂😂
Anyways, this show doesn't just immortalize drug dealing as the ending proves clearly.
It's a real moral lesson story compacted in six seasons. It's a wonderful series with a rating of 8.4/10 from ImDB and 9/10 from me. If you're looking for a bit of drugs action, then Snowfall is the series for you.
