Stalin has been one of the most recognized and produced world leaders in cinema, he has made several films of different visions. Months ago I saw an old movie about him made in 1992 and starring Robert Duvall. In it they show the leader, brother, husband and father so genuinely that I came to empathize with the character.
It begins when Stalin was a young man dedicated to his studies, a good student and very intelligent. Most of this film focuses on his rise to power and his love for his wife. It shows beautiful landscapes of different countries and a production that spared no expense in costumes, make-up, supporting actors and extras, in addition to the banquets of the big parties.
I do not know if all communist leaders and dictators have in common their way of obtaining power, as I have seen in several films that begin with a low profile being the right hand of someone and when they have the opportunity they betray them, in the case of Stalin was paying obeisance to Lenin and when he was sick with a stroke he took advantage to make decisions without authorization.
