La serie trata sobre 8 personas que atraviesan problemas económicos por distintas razones, ellos no tienen ya nada que perder, han caído en un abismo y lo han perdido todo. De repente, ellos reciben una invitación para ser parte de un concurso donde pueden ganar mucho dinero, una de las premisas del concurso establece que si alguno de los participantes muere el concurso llegará a su fin, a pesar de leer la palabra muerte en el contrato ellos aceptan el desafío. Cada uno escoge un número antes de entrar al recinto que determinará el lugar que le corresponde ocupar.
The series is about 8 people who are going through financial problems for different reasons. They have nothing left to lose, they have fallen into an abyss and have lost everything. Suddenly, they receive an invitation to be part of a contest where they can win a lot of money. One of the premises of the contest establishes that if any of the participants dies, the contest will come to an end. Despite reading the word death in the contract, they accept the challenge. Each one chooses a number before entering the room that will determine the place they will occupy.

Los 8 participantes entran a un recinto lleno de cámaras que los filman en cada momento, luego se dan cuenta que es una especie de reality secreto donde ellos son los protagonistas. Son encerrados sin contacto exterior y según el número que escogieron ocupan un piso en el edifico, habiendo una plaza común para todos. A cada minuto que están allí ganan mucho dinero, entre más alto el piso más dinero ganan. Sin embargo, los pisos están vacíos, ellos pueden comprar artículos de uso personal pero a un precio de mil veces más su costo real. La comida no está incluida, todos reciben una ración de comida que llega al octavo piso y que se debe bajar por un ascensor interno de las habitaciones a cada piso, está prohibido sacar cualquier cosa de las habitaciones.
The 8 participants enter a room full of cameras that film them at all times, then they realize that it is a kind of secret reality show where they are the protagonists. They are locked up without any outside contact and according to the number they chose they occupy a floor in the building, with a common space for everyone. Every minute they are there they earn a lot of money, the higher the floor the more money they earn. However, the floors are empty, they can buy personal items but at a price a thousand times more than their real cost. Food is not included, everyone receives a ration of food that arrives on the eighth floor and must be lowered by an internal elevator from the rooms to each floor, it is forbidden to take anything out of the rooms.

En el juego ellos descubren que deben ganar tiempo para que el concurso continúe, su misión es entretener a los observadores anónimos, si se aburren el tiempo del concurso se acaba, pero en caso contrario puede que nunca salgas de allí.

La serie es realmente abrumadora, me impactó ver cómo los participantes comienzan de a poco a hacer cosas realmente aterradoras para entretener a los espectadores y ganar dinero, cómo torturas físicas y psicológicas, todos son llevados al extremo de la cordura. La serie busca recalcar que la naturaleza humana puede ser horrible y que representa a la sociedad que conocemos, sin embargo no todo está perdido, porque al igual que en el concurso en nuestra sociedad hay personas buenas que hacen siempre lo que deben sin importarles el dinero.
The series is really overwhelming, I was shocked to see how the participants slowly start to do really scary things to entertain the viewers and earn money, how physical and psychological tortures, everyone is taken to the extreme of sanity. The series seeks to emphasize that human nature can be horrible and that it represents the society we know, however not everything is lost, because just like in the contest in our society there are good people who always do what they must without caring about money.

Otro punto a resaltar y que yo percibí en la serie es que cada piso es una especie de escalafón social, ya que entre más alto más poder, incluso la comida bajaba de arriba hacia abajo, lo que implicaba que los de los pisos de abajo podían comer si los de arriba los alimentaban. Te invito a ver esta serie, te atrapa desde el primer capítulo, pero no es apta para personas sensibles. Espero tengas la oportunidad de verla, abrazos hivers.
Another point to highlight and that I perceived in the series is that each floor is a kind of social ladder, since the higher you are, the more power you have. Even the food came down from the top to the bottom, which meant that those on the lower floors could eat if those on the upper floors fed them.
