When it comes to suspense and mystery series, I'm always on the lookout for productions that keep me in suspense, that make me watch episode after episode without being able to stop. And that is precisely what I found in "The Hartung Case". This series is based on the novel by Søren Sveistrup and takes us into a dark and disturbing world full of brutal murders, hidden secrets and tormented characters. This Netflix series grabbed me from the first minute and I couldn't stop watching it until I reached its shocking conclusion.

On the other hand, we learn the story of Rosa Hartung, an important politician whose daughter disappeared a year before the murders. The connection between the two plot threads is gradually and surprisingly revealed as the detectives delve deeper into the investigation. They are charged with unraveling unexpected connections and revealing dark secrets that put their own lives at terrible risk.
The pace of the series is steady and manages to maintain tension throughout its six episodes, the combination of suspense, mystery and psychological elements kept me completely gripped. Something I would like to highlight about "The Hartung Case " is its ability to address dark and disturbing themes in a realistic way and without many detours, that honesty so direct when representing situations that despite being fictional often happen in reality, is something I always appreciate in productions. The series is not afraid to explore the twisted psychology of its characters, and much less to show violent and graphic scenes when necessary. This helps to create a sense of raw realism and accentuates the tension and danger surrounding the main characters in their quest to stop the Chestnut Man.
I understand that perhaps these scenes may come as a shock to some viewers. However, I feel that such a stark and realistic depiction is necessary to effectively convey the nature of the crimes committed by the Chestnut Man and the impact they have on both the characters and society. Through these scenes, the series comes to address deep themes that go beyond violence, such as grieving the loss of a child, the scars of the past, and how twisted human nature can be. As the detectives struggle to apprehend the mastermind behind such horrific crimes, the series provides us with a good reflection on morality, responsibility, revenge, and the boundaries that may (or may not) be crossed in the pursuit of justice.
One of the aspects that I consider most outstanding of the series is its character construction. Both Thulin and Hess are complex and well-developed detectives, each with their own story, tragedies and personal struggles. What I liked the most
The way in which the case is pieced together little by little, and how in each chapter we are given clues about whom the murderer is and his motives. It is exciting to see how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together, that kept me super hooked and wanting to know more. The series knows how to keep us intrigued and wanting to keep watching until the end, which, by the way, is quite satisfying and ties up several loose ends that had been left loose throughout its six episodes.
What I liked least
Although "The Hartung Case" is a series that manages to maintain its quality and suspense in most episodes, there are moments when the pace can become a bit heavy due to the constant back and forth of the various plot lines. Esta serie de Netflix me atrapó desde el primer minuto y no pude dejar de verla hasta llegar a su impactante conclusión.

Lo que más me gustó
La forma en la que el caso se va armando poco a poco y como en cada capítulo nos van dando pistas sobre quién es el asesino y sus motivos. Es emocionante ver cómo van encajando todas las piezas del rompecabezas, eso me mantuvo súper enganchada y queriendo saber más. La serie sabe cómo mantenernos intrigados y con ganas de seguir viéndola hasta el final, el cual, por cierto, es bastante satisfactorio y ata varios cabos que habían quedado sueltos a lo largo de sus seis episodios.
Lo que menos me gustó
A pesar de que "El caso Hartung" es una serie que logra mantener su calidad y el suspenso en la mayoría de los episodios, hay momentos en los que el ritmo puede volverse algo pesado debido las constantes idas y venidas de las diversas líneas argumentales. Quizás también algunas subtramas podrían haberse desarrollado de manera más concisa, aun así, estos pequeños detalles no empañan el impacto general de la serie.
