Bienvenidos queridos viajeros del internet amantes de los clásicos animados y muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, el día de hoy les traigo una reseña a una animación que considero especial debido a que es una mezcla entre lo mejor de los clásicos animados y las novedades que existen actualmente en el campo de la animación, estoy hablando por supuesto de la serie "The Cuphead Show" una serie basada en un videojuego que sabe traer situaciones maravillosas con muchas dosis de comedia absurda excelentemente lograda. The Cuphead Show was released this year, directed by Chad Moldenhauer and Jared Moldenhauer, produced by Netflix Animation, with 2 seasons of a total of 25 chapters with a duration of 12 minutes. It is an animated story of comedy and adventure, focuses on a pair of brothers, the carefree and reckless Cuphead, and the fearful and cautious Mudman, who will live different adventures in the Tinteros Islands, a place where different absurd and strange things happen that must be faced in the most ingenious way possible.
The Cuphead Show fue estrenada este año, dirigida por Chad Moldenhauer y Jared Moldenhauer, producida por Netflix Animation, cuanta con 2 temporadas de un total de 25 capítulos con una duración de 12 minutos. Es una historia animada de comedia y aventura, se centra en un par de hermanos, el despreocupado y temerario Cuphead, y, el miedoso y cauteloso Mudman, quienes vivirán diferentes aventuras en las Islas Tinteros, un sitio en donde pasan diferentes cosas absurdas y extrañas que deberán enfrentarse de la forma más ingeniosa posible.

The soundtrack is completely pleasant, it is not only present in the background to give musical context to the different adventures but also includes musical numbers, although I am not a fan of this type of additions it does it in a good way so that they are pleasant because they have enough duration to look good and not become tedious.
La banda sonora es completamente agradable, está no solo se encuentra presente de fondo para dar contexto musical a las diferentes aventuras sino que también incluye números musicales, si bien no soy fanático de este tipo de añadidos lo hace de buena forma como para que sean agradables debido a que tienen la duración suficiente para quedar bien y no volverse tedioso.

The animation is lovely, it mixes different styles to result in something completely wonderful, what I find most pleasant is the fact of adding details to make it feel older making a tribute to the animations of yesteryear. It is in short in a way a tribute to its predecessors and a delight for the eyes that works different types of animation to be even more memorable.
La animación es encantadora, mezcla diferentes estilos para resultar en algo completamente maravilloso, lo que más me parece agradable es el hecho de agregar detalles para hacerla sentir más antigua haciendo un homenaje a las animaciones de antaño. Es en síntesis de cierta forma un tributo a sus predecesores y un deleite para los ojos que trabaja diferentes tipos de animación para ser aún más memorable.

The construction of the world is completely successful, this is especially more pleasant if you played the game because many of the characters that appear in the video game are incorporated, this is nice since it is a nod to the elements on which it is based. It is necessary to focus on how well detailed and beautiful the scenarios are, they present an excellent context that is very consistent with the approach that the chapter has, making it feel plausible and pleasant.
La construcción de mundo es completamente acertada, este sobre todo resulta más agradable si jugaste al juego debido a que se incorporan muchos de los personajes que aparecen en el videojuego, esto es agradable puesto que es un guiño a los elementos en los cuales está basado. Es necesario enfocar lo bien detallados y lindos que son los escenarios, los mismos presentan un contexto excelente que se encuentra muy acordé con el enfoque que tenga el capítulo, haciendo que se sienta plausible y agradable.

The plot is loaded with absurd and violent comedy, for those who grew up watching "Looney Tunes" you will understand what I mean; It could be considered pseudo-episodic because mostly the events of each chapter are self-conclusive, however there is also some continuity in a few episodes. His narrative seeks only to make comedy, does not convey any message or is deep in any sense, has a single objective that is to show funny things without committing to anything complex.
La trama está cargada de comedia absurda y violenta, para aquellos que crecieron viendo "Looney Tunes" entenderán a lo que me refiero; se podría considerar pseudo episódica debido a que mayormente los acontecimientos de cada capítulo son autoconclusivos, sin embargo también existe cierta continuidad en algunos pocos episodios. Su narrativa busca únicamente hacer comedia, no transmite ningún mensaje ni es profunda en ningún sentido, tiene un único objetivo que es mostrar cosas graciosas sin comprometerse con nada complejo.

The characters are deranged, it is wonderful the characterization they have since the personality of each one is well defined; In turn, they are occasionally given their own chapter where one or another thing about the character in question is revealed to sympathize with them. I would say that the best thing about all the characters not only the protagonists is their level of madness, you never know what to expect from a secondary or main character because the door to the absurd is always open.
Los personajes son unos desquiciados, resulta maravilloso la caracterización que tienen puesto que la personalidad de cada uno se encuentra bien definida; a su vez, se les da de vez en cuando un capítulo propio en dónde se da a conocer una que otra cosa del personaje en cuestión para simpatizar con estos. Diría que lo mejor de todos los personajes no solo los protagonistas es su nivel de locura, nunca sabes qué esperar de un personaje secundario o principal debido a que la puerta a lo absurdo siempre se encuentra abierta.

The Cuphead Show is an extremely pleasant animation, with levels of nonsense and wonderful absurdity that carry that essence of the animated classics of just entertaining without seeking to be politically correct or give a message about something, it is pure comedy without aspirations to anything. All this that I mention makes it deserve a rating of 4 stars out of 7, a highly recommended series especially if you have a bad day and need to clear your mind, it will surely get you a good laugh.
The Cuphead Show es una animación sumamente agradable, con niveles de tonterías y absurdidad maravillosa que llevan esa esencia de los clásicos animados de solo entretener sin buscar ser políticamente correctos o dar un mensaje sobre algo, es comedia pura sin aspiraciones a nada. Todo esto que menciono la hace merecer una calificación de 4 estrellas de 7, una serie altamente recomendable sobre todo si tienes un mal día y necesitas despejar la mente, seguro que te sacará unas buenas risas.
