This is most usually not the case. The idea that because this story is one of the first of its kind and it's something of a progenitor doesn't mean that what it does progenate wouldn't come and surpass it later on.
It's shown multiple times in science, in life and it's a repetitive trope in animation.
The Lord of the Rings fandom is one of the oldest of high fiction fandoms to exist and it's certainly one of the biggest.
It's no doubt, we literature lovers owe a lot to J.R.R Tolkien. His books are a treasure to behold...
Even if it's actually very shitty writing.

Some Hobbit fans like one of my closest friend Joy a.k.a Grumpy Gnome may condemn me for this, but we have to be honest.
The Lord of the Rings was a beautiful plot but a very boring story, not complicated, just boring.
The writing were filled with fillers and unnecessary details that made every action seem so much slower and make the words drone on and on...
This same dirty pace was carried into the movies (something I watched thinking it'll be better than the books) and seemingly into the anime.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of Rohirrim
Wulf Dunlending wages war against Helm Hammerhand and his for vengeance on his father.
Defeated, delirious and out of hope, it's up to Hera to lead her people to safety and to end the war.
Never in my life have I had to sit through something this painful.
Sometimes I wonder why I kept on watching it, maybe because I thought it'll get better at the end. Yet the more I watched, the more bored I became till I began skipping some parts.
The plot was okay. Since it's a prequel, one doesn't have to watch the main series to know what's happening. Yet I think these are the only good things about this 2hrs long movie.
The bad things though? Now those are numerous.
Firstly why is it 2hrs+?
Nothing much happened story wise. Nothing really happened at all. It was just so tiresome to watch through. From the beginning when Helm Hammerhand killed Wulf's father mistakenly in a disagreement.
It was just 3 more major arcs in the story before the war began. And yet the war took a whole hour. The pacing was just terrible.
Next we had the antagonist Wulf being insufferable, he was like a child throwing a tantrum and it's a disgrace to all revenge filled antagonists everywhere. He was written to seem revenge crazed and willing to do anything to gain vengeance.
Yet all he managed to be was a major annoyance, insufferable to both the characters and the viewers (me) alike.
The protagonist is another issue on her own. I really can't say what is wrong with her, yet I knew nothing was right.
A tomboyish girl clearly meant for glory and such yet it just felt off watching her.
Next thing we can say is the animation? This is the worst 3D animation style I've seen in a while. I thought anime studios had become better than this?
I'll admit, it did get better or rather I adjusted to it but there were somethings that just felt wrong.
I have loads of other grievances but I think those ones would go further beyond the movie and since this review is for the movie itself I'll simply end it here.
LOTR: The War of Rohirrim, is a show that the only thing done extremely well was the title.
Zero pace, zero characters, zero excitement this is literally a 3/10 for me.
A movie that maybe only die hard LOTR fans would enjoy.

I finally got to watch the new movie in the Lord of the Rings universe, and I want to share my thoughts on it. The film is set 180 years before the events of the famous trilogy. Some fans of the saga claim it’s not canon, but in my opinion, it absolutely is. Let me tell you why.

Finalmente pude ver la nueva película del universo del Señor de los anillo y quiero contarles que tal me pareció. Está ambientada 180 años antes de lo sucedido en la historia que nos cuenta la famosa trilogía. Algunos fans de la saga declaran que no es canon, pero a mí parecer si lo es, así que déjame te cuento por qué.
The movie tells the story of Helm Hammerhand, the king of Rohan and the ninth in the line of succession. Helm leads the army of horse riders known as the Rohirrim, something we’re already familiar with since we see these warriors in action in The Two Towers. Helm himself shouldn’t be unfamiliar to us either, because in the same movie, the location of the great battle is a fortress named after him.
La película aborda la historia de Helm Hammerhand, rey del reino de Rohan, noveno en la sucesión de reyes. Helm comanda el ejercito de jinetes a caballo conocido como los Rohirrin, algo con lo que ya estamos familiarizados, debido a que en la película Las dos Torres vemos entrar en acción a estos guerreros. También Helm no debe resultarnos desconocido, porque en la misma película el lugar de la gran batalla es una fortaleza que lleva su nombre.
This new film explains how the fortress came to bear his name. It was previously known as the Hornburg Fortress, but due to a great feat Helm Hammerhand accomplished there, his people decided to rename it in his honor. This, to me, feels like canon. Additionally, in The Two Towers, you can see a statue of a man holding a hammer, which is almost certainly Helm Hammerhand.
En esta nueva película se cuenta cómo llega esta fortaleza a tener dicho nombre. Antes se le conocía como Fortaleza de Hornburg, pero debido a una gran hazaña que Helm Hammerhand realiza en este lugar, su pueblo decidió renombrarlo en su honor, lo cual me parece ser canon, además, en la película Las Dos Torres, se puede apreciar la estatua de un hombre con un martillo, que seguro es Helm Hammerhand.
Part of the movie’s story revolves around Helm’s conflict with Wulf, who becomes the lord of the Dunlendings after his father is killed by a single blow from Helm. Seeking revenge, Wulf embarks on a war full of cunning tactics against Helm, wounding him in many ways due to his pride and arrogance.
Parte dela historia de la película transcurre en el enfrentamiento de Helm contra Wulf que se convierte en el señor de los Dulending tras la muerte de su padre al recibir un solo golpe de Helm. Por esto Wulf decide tomar venganza y se embarcar en una guerra llena de artimañas contra Helm que le hiere en muchos aspectos debido a su soberbia y orgullo.
The story takes a turn when Helm becomes overwhelmed, and his daughter Hera takes command of the Hornburg Fortress to defend against Wulf’s siege. At this point, you realize the movie isn’t really about Helm—it’s about the untold story of his daughter, Hera, a character not mentioned in Tolkien’s books. She’s only referenced in the appendices of The Two Towers, when Freca, Wulf’s father, asks for her hand in marriage for his son.
La historia de un vuelco cuando Helm se ve abrumado y su hija Hera toma el comando de la Fortaleza de Hornburg, para defenderse del sitio que Wulf les plantea. En este momento te das cuenta que la película no se centra en Helm, es sobre la historia nunca contada de Hera su hija, un personaje que no se menciona en los libros de Tolkien, solo se conoce de ella en los apéndices del libro Las Dos Torres, cuando Freca el padre de Wulf va a pedir su mano para su hijo.
With no further details about this character, the creators of this film had the freedom to develop her and make her canon. I think this is why they chose to make the movie in the style of Japanese anime—it feels more permissive when it comes to creating parallel stories that connect perfectly with the main narrative.
Al no haber más detalles sobre este personaje, los creadores de esta película tuvieron libertad para desarrollar este personaje y hacerlo canon. Creo que esta es la razón de desarrollar esta película al estilo anime japonés, se siente más permisivo a la hora de crear historias paralelas que llegan a conectar con la historia principal perfectamente.
This is also why Éowyn, the warrior who impacted us all in the original trilogy, serves as the narrator in this new film. Miranda Otto, the actress who brought Éowyn to life, lends her voice to narrate Hera’s exploits, which I find absolutely brilliant. Éowyn’s character describes herself to Aragorn as a shieldmaiden, and Hera revives the spirit of shieldmaidens in this new movie.
Por esta razón Éowyn, la guerra que nos impacto a todos en la trilogía principal, es quien sirve de narradora en esta nueva película. Miranda Otto la actriz que dió vida a este personaje, presta su voz y nos narra las hazañas de Hera, lo cual me parece fabuloso, porque su personaje es descrito por ella misma a Aragón como una doncella escudera y Hera revive a las doncellas escuderas en esta nueva película.
How are Éowyn and Hera connected? I can only tell you that they’re not directly related, but Éowyn likely knows Hera’s story through a shared character who is very important in the narrative. I don’t want to reveal who it is because it’s a fantastic surprise in the film, but this character surely told Éowyn about the deeds of this shieldmaiden, who was never recognized but whose memory is worth preserving. This detail felt marvelous to me and makes the movie worth appreciating as part of the canon.
¿Como se conectan el personaje de Eowyn y Hera? Solo te puedo decir que no son familia directa, pero Eowyn conoce la historia de Hera seguramente por un personaje en común que es muy importante en la historia, que no quiero revelarte porque es una gran sorpresa su mención en la película, pero que seguro le contó las Hazañas de esta doncella escudera porque nunca fue reconocida pero que vale la pena mantenerla memoria. Este detalles me pareció maravilloso y bien vale la pena y hace apreciar esta película como parte del canon.

Feliz Año 2025 para todos los Otakus increíbles de la Comunidad de @theanimerealm. Quise aprovechar para descansar ayer y empezar de lleno el año con ustedes, así que les otorgo el primer post del 2025 y qué mejor manera de hacerlo que hablando de la última entrega de Peter Jackson: El señor de los anillos: La guerra de los Rohirrim.
Voy a ser totalmente honesta con ustedes, como lo he sido siempre 🤣 pero este año ando como que sin filtro, si antes era sincera, este año lo soy aún más y no saben lo cómoda que me hace sentir eso conmigo misma. Además quiero que sepan que en este post no haré Spoilers, así que pueden leer tranquilos.
Bueno, esta película fue algo inesperada, creo que agarró a muchos fans de la saga completamente desprevenidos (yo incluida), y aunque me hubiera gustado que algunos aspectos del film terminaran siendo más prolijos, como fan me siento satisfecha con el trabajo que dieron.
Me explico mejor, como pueden ver en las imágenes, el estilo de los personajes se inclina a una versión animé, de hecho el director de la película es japonés y en parte fue por eso que decidí publicar mi opinión del film aquí y no en otra comunidad.
Cuando vi el Tráiler me emocioné muchísimo y a los días mi hermano me comentó que la vio en el cine. Esto me emocionó más ya que su opinión sincera como gran fan de la franquicia tiene mucho peso para mí. Le pregunté ¿quién salía conocido? ¿salía Légolas? (Mi Crush de toda la saga) pero luego le callaba diciendo no me digas, no me digas!, no quiero spoilers! y él se reía, para luego decirme "debes verla, es BUENA!".
Y si, fue muy buena porque guarda la esencia de lo que Peter Jackson quiso plasmar en las películas previas a este cortometraje. Además que explican muchas cosas, el nombre del Abismo de Helm y otros tantos detalles que me encantaron. Sobre todo saber más sobre la historia de los Rohirrim porque mi película favorita de la saga es Las Dos Torres.
Además el film tuvo escenas realmente duras y otras cargadas de nostalgia que lo que hicieron fue provocarme lágrimas por tantos buenos momentos y emociones recordadas con la historia del Señor de los Anillos, esto para mí tuvo mucho peso y fue una de las cosas que más me gustó.
Pero lo que debo destacar que no me gustó mucho fueron los diseños de los personajes, los dibujos y los efectos en las peleas o persecuciones entre escena y escena. Es decir, es algo que pudieron hacer muchísimo mejor y no sé por qué mantuvieron ese estilo tan básico de animé.
Luego de ver series con trabajos de diseños espectaculares como Kimetsu No Yaiba, Kaiju N°8, Wind Breaker, Jujutsu Kaisen y muchos otros más, sin meter películas con gran calidad artística como Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse o incluso la increíble serie Arcane, tanto el director Kenji Kamiyama como Peter Jackson me decepcionaron en ese aspecto.
Sin embargo, ahora que lo pienso bien mientras termino de escribir estas líneas, saco la conclusión de que quisieron hacerlo de esta manera, con esos diseños para mantener el estilo clásico de antes, de la época, no lo sé, es lo que deduzco. Y bueno, que se viera así no significa que no disfruté del film, al contrario, lo hice y mucho, por eso le doy sus bien merecidas:

Happy New Year 2025 to all the amazing Otaku of the @theanimerealm Community. I wanted to take the opportunity to rest yesterday and start the year off right with you, so I'm granting you the first post of 2025, and what better way to do it than talking about Peter Jackson's latest installment: The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.
I'm going to be honest with you, as I've always been 🤣 but this year I'm kind of without a filter, if I was honest before, this year I'm even more so and you don't know how comfortable that makes me feel with myself. Also, I want you to know that I won't make spoilers in this post, so you can easily read it.
Well, this movie was somewhat unexpected, I think it caught a lot of fans of the saga completely off guard (myself included), and while I would have liked some aspects of the film to end up being neater, as a fan I am satisfied with the job they did.
Let me explain myself better, as you can see in the images, the style of the characters leans toward an anime version, and the director of the film is Japanese, so that's partly why I decided to publish my opinion of the film here and not in another community.
When I saw the trailer I was very excited and a few days later my brother told me that he saw it in the cinema. This made me more excited because his sincere opinion as a big fan of the franchise has a lot of weight for me. I asked him who was in the movie, was Legolas in it (my Crush of the whole saga), but then I kept quiet saying don't tell me, don't tell me, I don't want spoilers! and he laughed, and then he told me "you must see it, it's GOOD!".
And yes, it was very good because it keeps the essence of what Peter Jackson wanted to capture in the films before this short film. Besides that they explain a lot of things, the name of the Helm Abyss and so many other details that I loved. Especially to know more about the history of Rohirrim because my favorite movie of the saga is The Two Towers.
In addition, the film had really hard scenes and others full of nostalgia that made me cry for so many good moments and emotions remembered with the story of the Lord of the Rings, this for me had a lot of weight and was one of the things I liked the most.
But what I must point out that I didn't like very much were the character designs, the drawings, and the effects in the fights or chases between scenes. I mean, it's something that could have been done much better and I don't know why they kept that basic anime style.
After watching series with spectacular design work like Kimetsu No Yaiba, Kaiju N°8, Wind Breaker, Jujutsu Kaisen and many more, not to mention movies with great artistic quality like Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse or even the amazing Arcane series, both director Kenji Kamiyama and Peter Jackson disappointed me in that aspect.
However, now that I think about it while I finish writing these lines, I conclude that they wanted to do it this way, with those designs to keep the classic style of the past, of the time, I don't know, that's what I deduce. And well, the fact that it looked like that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy the film, on the contrary, I did and very much, that's why I give it it's well deserved:
Last night I wanted to watch some anime, but something short that I could finish in the same night and I found a pleasant surprise, with an animated movie of The Lord of the Rings, so I did not hesitate to watch it, since the trilogy was one of my favorites in terms of cinema. It is called The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, a production of which I saw it having a very high expectation and I expected to find a great movie.
El día de ayer por la noche tenía ganas de ver algún anime, pero algo corto que pudiera terminar en una misma noche y me encontré con una grata sorpresa, con una película animada de El señor de los anillos, así que no dudé en verla, ya que la trilogía fue de mis favoritos en cuento al cine se refiere. La misma lleva por nombre El señor de los anillos: La guerra de los Rohirrim, una producción de la cual la vi teniendo una expectativa muy alta y esperaba encontrarme con una gran película.
The truth is that when I started watching the movie I was a little disappointed due to its animation, it seemed strange to me and did not allow me to enjoy the story very well, although little by little I got used to it. After seeing the production I started to investigate a little about this section and this animated film is one of the first to use the animation of Japanese anime. What I felt is that the animation was a little rough, besides the features and gestures of the characters looked very generic, that is, they showed almost no feelings, it seemed that the characters were always sad, at least it was my perception. Also the movements of the characters and the horses seemed a bit strange and not very natural to me.
La verdad es que cuando comence a ver la película me decepcioné un poco debido a su animación, me pareció alga extraña y no me permitió disfrutar muy bien la historia, aunque poco a poco me fue acostumbrando. Luego de ver la producción me puse a investigar un poco sobre esta apartado y es que esta película animada es una de las primeras en usar la animación de los animes japones. Lo que siento es que la animación se notaba un poco tosca, además que las facciones y las gestualizaciones de los personajes se veían muy genéricas, es decir, que no mostraban prácticamente ningun sentimiento, parecieran que siempren estaban triste los personajes, al menos fue mi percepción. También los movimientos de los personajes y los caballos me parecieron un poco extraño y no muy natural que se diga.
Even though I didn't like all the animation, I decided to watch the whole movie and despite the fact that we can get used to the simplistic animation, the story is interesting. Before watching the animated movie that was released in December of this year, I knew nothing about the plot or what it was about, I didn't even know the movie was coming out, nor did I see any trailers. The nostalgia began when I saw the kingdom of Rohan, which I saw in the second installment of the Lord of the Rings films and the two towers, but as the film progressed I realized that these events were before the official trilogy of films in the cinema.
Aun así de que no me haya gustado de un toda la animación, decidí ver completamente la película y a pasar de que nos podemos acostumbrar a la animación simplista, la historia es interesante. Antes de ver la película animada que fue lanzada en diciembre de este año, no sabía nada de la trama ni de que se trataba, incluso no sabía que la película saldría, ni vi ningún tráiler. La nostalgia comenzó cuando vi en reino de Rohan, que la vi en la segunda entrega de las películas de El señor de los anillos y las dos torres, pero al avanzar la película me di cuenta de que estos hechos fueron antes de la trilogía oficial de las películas del cine.
This animated film tells the story of the family of the king of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand, as he was besieged by Wulf, who wants revenge, since the legendary king killed your father. A fight where his children and all his people were involved. Among the main characters we find Héra, Helm's daughter, the hand of the saw, as she is known, a young adventurer and warrior, who is not afraid of anything, who is rebellious and with a lot of impetus. Most of the story focuses on this character and how she helped her people from total annihilation. We also have other characters, but I think most of the story focuses on Héra and her fight with Wulf.
Esta película animada nos cuenta la historia de la familia del rey de Rohan, Helm Hammerhand, como fue asediado por Wulf, quien quiere venganza, ya que el legendario rey mató a tu padre. Una lucha donde vieron involucrados sus hijos y todo su pueblo. Dentro de los personajes principales encontramos a Héra, hija de Helm mano de hierra, como se le conoce, un joven aventurera y guerrera, que no le teme a nada, quien es rebelde y con mucho ímpetu. La mayor parte de la historia se centra en este personaje y como ayudó a su pueblo de la aniquilación total. También tenemos otros personajes, pero creo que la mayor parte de la historia se centra en Héra y su lucha con Wulf.
The story has a great potential, although it was wasted due to the poor execution with dialogues that from my point of view in many moments are poor. This does not mean that it is all bad, because it was not, there are moments that I enjoyed, I even think that if the details that need to be done are improved, this story would be a great success for all the fans of the Lord of the Rings. In the movie I missed seeing the hobbits and elves, although we know that the story was centered on Helm and his family, where the Helm's Deep appears and it is told with this one got that name. There are many nods to the fandom of the trilogy, Gandalf is mentioned, although this iconic character does not appear, but the one who does is Saruman, the white wizard.
La historia ciento que tiene un gran potencial, aunque fue desaprovechado debido a la mala ejecución con diálogos de que desde mi punto de vista en muchos momentos son pobres. Esto no quiere decir que este del todo mal, porque no fue así, hay momentos que si disfruté, incluso creo que si se mejoran los detalles que hay que hacerlo, esta historia sería un gran éxito para toda la fanaticada del señor de los anillos. En la película me hizo falta ver los hobbits y los elfos, aunque sabemos que la historia estaba centrada en Helm y su familia, donde aparece el abismo del Helm y se cuenta con este obtuvo ese nombre. Se hacen muchos guiños para el fandom de la trilogía, se menciona a Gandalf, aunque este icónico personaje no aparece, pero el que sí sale es Saruman, el mago blanco.
Brian Cox did as Helm “Iron Hand” Helm, king of Rohan, doing a good job despite the limitations we found in the animation of the film. While Gaia Wise as Hera, also looked pretty good as far as the voices were concerned. The soundtrack was good, each time the film progressed it got better, reaching the end where we find an allusive music to the original story of the trilogy of Peter Jackson and we know that this is done to capture the attention of fans of both the original films of the universe of J. R. R. R. Tolkien. By the way, the script of this direction was in charge of Kenji Kamiyama, while the screenplay was written by Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou, based on the author's novels.
Brian Cox hizo como Helm "Mano de hierro", rey de Rohan, haciendo un buen trabajo a pesar de las limitaciones que encontramos en la animación de la película. Mientras que Gaia Wise como Hera, también se vio bastante bien en cuanto a las voces se refiere. La banda sonora estuvo bien, cada vez que avanzaba la película fue mejor, llegando al final donde encontramos una música alusiva a la historia original de la trilogía de Peter Jackson y sabemos que esto se hace para captar la atención de los fanáticos de tanto de las películas originales del universo de J. R. R. Tolkien. Por cierto, el guion de esta dirección estuvo a cargo de Kenji Kamiyama, mientras que el guion estuvo escrito por Phoebe Gittins y Arty Papageorgiou, basada en las novelas del autor.
Anyway, it's good to learn more about Tolkien's stories, the Middle Ages, the wizards, orcs, hobbits, elves, dwarves and other creatures from the world of The Lord of the Rings. This movie is not a complete disaster, but it did not live up to expectations in terms of animation, script and depth of story, it lacked the epic atmosphere of Peter Jackson's original trilogy, although we know that in the end it is a different story that they want to tell. I hope they bring more story from Tolkien's universe, but at least that they are better executed. Personally I would give a 6/10 to the production, since at least it was good to revive the epic story of middle earth, according to the author of this work of art, as is The Lord of the Rings.
En fin, es bueno ir conociendo más sobre las historias de Tolkien, de la edad media, de los magos, orcos, los hobbits, elfos, enanos y demás criaturas del mundo de El señor de los anillos. Esta película no es un completo desastre, pero si no estuvo al nivel de lo esperado en cuento a animación, guion y profundidad de la historia se refiere, le faltó la atmósfera épica de la trilogía original de Peter Jackson, aunque sabemos que al final es una historia distinta que se quiere contar. Espero que traigan más historia del universo de Tolkien, pero al menos que estén mejor ejecutados. En lo personal le daría un 6/10 a la producción, ya que al menos fue bueno revivir las épicas historia de la tierra media, según el autor de esta obra de arte, como es El señor de los anillos.

This was a charming animation film, and it was great to see something from the Lord of the Rings world, I still think there are a lot of movies, series and stuff that can be made with the foundation that The Lord of the Rings has set and too many of us would like to see more.
The voice acting, graphics, motion, cinematography and all were good. Like I said it was charming, so charming that you might miss all these plot flaws scattered around the movie.
It was sad seeing these plot flaws, I really wanted this movie to succeed because like most of y'all I love The Lord of the Rings. But..
The Plot Flaws
(1.) When Hera Was Captured: When Wulf returned as the Highlord of the Wild Men and sent some of his men out to capture Hera, some beast chased her deep into the woods, she was able to awaken a bigger beast that swallowed her assailant, and then the men came.
When the men came one of them simply put a small bag over Hera's head and lifted her up, placed her on his shoulder like a sack, and that was it. She was taken.
The sack had no magic or anything and Hera didn't put up any fight even though her hands were free and she had her sword by her waist.
That was crazy, because Hera is a warrior, she's been training since she was a child and it was clear she was good. So how could she have been captured just like that?
She didn't put up a fight or struggled like she was capable, she just acted like some helpless toddler. That was a shame and a huge plot flaw.
This same Hera got attacked by a man later on when her father left to face Wulf in the beginning of the war, she put up a fight and killed him.
There were countless other scenes where she fought and later on even defeated the Highlord Wulf in a duel, so is this the type of girl to be abducted without a fight? Just get her head covered with a bag and picked up unto the shoulder with her sword sheathed by her waist?
That was a shame, to put it mildly.
(2.) When they Retreated to Helm's Deep: After losing the war, Hera and her people ran into the fortress called Helms Deep. Just before they could all get in Wulf came with her captured brother. They stood in front of the fortress and Wulf held a knife to her brother's neck, he was going to kill him.
Wulf was accompanied by only two other men while all of Hera's people were present and archers were at the top. No one thought of telling the archers to shoot at Wulf to prevent him from killing her brother, instead Hera and her father stood there begging for his life.
After he was killed no one still thought of making the archers send arrows down to kill Wulf. It was too dumb, and that's being kind.
(3.) The Dumb Siege: That siege was also too dumb. These guys were in an elevated fortress and are besieged by an army just below them in the valley. They had archers but no one thought the archers should simply rain down arrows on the besiegers. That could have simply ended everything.
But no, they didn't shoot, they instead stayed on in fear complaining about how their supplies are finishing.
One archer shot an arrow once and it made everything even more dumb, like oh so you guys can shoot arrows, huh? And you've not been shooting all this while.
(4.) Opening the Door of Helm's Deep: Once Hera came out of Helm's Deep during the siege through some secret passage and her father had to save her from some cannibals. While there Wulf and his men came for them and they had to run to the gate of Helm's Deep.
On getting there the mechanism for opening the gate failed, so they had to try to open it with their hands by just pushing it open.
Her father succeeded in opening it to a good extent to let her get in. Wulf and his men saw him open it but still after he died and siege continued none of them tried to go to the door to force it open. Instead they continued the siege and kept trying to break in by building a tower.
How is it possible that they'll see that all the door needs is some good push and they never tried to go there and give it that good push?
At this point the story is hardly even worthy of criticism. Lol.

‘The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim’ is a pleasant surprise for audiences. Not only does it stand out for its impressive Japanese anime-style animation, with stunning details such as the recreation of fire and the view of Edoras from a distance, which almost looks like a photograph rather than an animation.
This film offers a two-hour adventure spectacle that effectively connects to Peter Jackson's trilogy.
Viewers can sense this connection through the ‘Lord of the Rings’ music, the respect for the depiction of Helm's Deep and Edoras as they appeared in the films, as well as the inclusion of characters from the trilogy in various forms, although no further details will be revealed.
One of the highlights of the film is Héra, an exceptional heroine who is presented as a worthy predecessor to Éowyn, the warrior of Rohan.
Héra is accompanied by well-developed characters, such as the formidable Olwyn, Helm, her brothers Haleth and Hama, her cousin Fréaláf, and the villainous Wulf, who, though cruel and cowardly, has understandable motivations.
However, there is a noticeable difference between the two hours of footage. The first part is truly sensational, while the second, by moving the action to the fortress and adopting a more fantastical approach, becomes considerably duller and more surreal, in the worst sense of the word.
Fortunately, the final climax and epilogue are again excellent, although they fail to elevate the film to the remarkable level it would have deserved were it not for that half-hour-plus drop-off.
All in all, this is a very well made film that delves into the fascinating history and culture of Rohan, revitalising a universe that, thanks to J.R.R. Tolkien, is eternally linked to the audiovisual world.
The best: The animation, the characters and the connections with the original trilogy.
Next we had the antagonist Wulf being insufferable, he was like a child throwing a tantrum and it's a disgrace to all revenge filled antagonists everywhere. He was written to seem revenge crazed and willing to do anything to gain vengeance.
Yet all he managed to be was a major annoyance, insufferable to both the characters and the viewers (me) alike.
