Hello horror cinema lovers. Tonight I'm going to talk to you about a movie that has become one of my favorites of the genre since I was very young. Mixing this time science fiction with horror, this film contains one of the most mysterious and shocking stories that can be found in the world of cinema today. Despite not being as praised as it deserves, the film managed to become a cult work for the horror genre over time. Based on the famous short novel by the great Stephen King, this film adaptation was written and directed by Frank Darabont (who would later work on famous horror series such as The Walking Dead). It features a cast of actors such as Thomas Jane, Marcia Gary Harden, Laurie Holden, Sam Wilber, Toby Jones, among others. As a fan of Master Stephen's works adapted to the big screen, it is a pleasure for me to talk to you about this well-known film that for many is considered one of the most terrifying in history.

    Plot

The film takes us to a small town where a very strong storm has been raging all night long. The next morning, a commercial artist named David Drayton sees with his wife and children how a fog is gradually approaching the lake near his house and surrounding the town. They go to a nearby business where other local members who are escaping the fog also go. The town is without electricity (it all reminds me of home) and some of those who managed to take refuge in the store say that there is something in that mysterious fog that is taking people away. A mysterious and dangerous enemy is approaching in the fog and at the same time police and military show up in town to confront him. What is hidden in that thick and gloomy fog and what dark future will it hold for the protagonist's family?

    Trama

This was the first time I was able to witness one of the many masterpieces of the great Stephen King. At such a young age, this movie that I saw not very few times has impacted me as much as it still does now. And I say this not only because of the story it tells, which perfectly mixes science fiction with horror, suspense and mystery in a way that hooks you from the beginning to the end, but also because of the very way it ends, which has caused many to end up with a trauma after such a denouement. A film that had no success, daring to show the worst of the dark side of the human imagination with a group of people in a place surrounded by a mysterious fog with unknown and very dangerous monsters. The way the characters are developed is also a remarkable detail, as well as the style and production level of this cult film.

Let's talk about the story that this movie tries to tell us, which from beginning to end does not explain well what is the origin of the fog or the monsters we see hidden in it. Moreover, it is as if the plot does not give any main importance to this, but focuses more on our protagonist and his family, which are involved in all this dangerous situation. Just imagine living in a town near a mountain, a quiet place as an artist and suddenly, after a rainy night like no other, a mysterious fog appears near the lake and covers the whole town, filling every corner and house. Then, screams, earthquakes, sounds of hungry creatures looking to eat you alive and that you can't see because of the same fog. The fear, the tension, the sense of danger and the attempts to protect your family from this whole situation while hiding in a business with other terrified people with their mental and social problems is something you must do at the cost of your life. This is what we see in this film.

The way it plays with the mind by presenting a variety of characters in one place with a common danger and fear is something that is very attention grabbing as you can easily identify with both the protagonist and the others in a practically apocalyptic event. The mixture of tension that generates the suspense of this film is practically contagious, with moments so shocking and impatient that they make you want to be the protagonist to give more than one of them their due. The film is practically a thrill ride, especially with the ending, in which everything practically spirals into a dead end. And when you feel you can no longer hold back the tears, when you feel how they try to break your heart with such a dramatic moment... in the end, when you think it's all over, the story ends with such a shocking twist that you will find it very difficult to get over (I still can't get over it after several years).

On the technical side, it was produced for a few million dollars at a time when special effects were not widely used in horror films and Stephen King was barely known for a few popular adaptations in the 80s and 90s. However, this film did not go unnoticed for its computer effects, which don't look bad at all, especially now, almost 20 years later. And as the film revolves more around the psychological and suspense, the fictional moments it offers us, which are not few, stand out very well. And more so when the tones, photography and color palette blend nicely with the plot and the monsters. There is also the soundtrack and sound effects, which are also very well done, generating that tension and suspense that distinguishes it from many other horror films. In the end, it is a film that has one of the strongest stories that can be found in this famous genre, a film that I recommend you see, if you haven't already.

Personally, I give it a 9.5/10 rating as far as the horror and science fiction genre is concerned.

  2. "The Mist" Breathtaking horror@reviewzzz776d

As a horror movie fan I always find myself excited to share the excitement and suspense with others Horror is a cinematic genre that fascinates me with its ability to evoke emotions and awaken the desire to know what will happen next It is certainly an art genre that is considered unique in its ability to create panic and tension in a way that makes you think deeply about the fear itself and the ideas it raises.

    The Mist movie review:

The Mist is one of those films that leaves deep traces in your memory Directed by Frank Darabont and based on the story by Stephen King it creates a cinematic experience that is both terrifying and entertaining at the same time.

The film tells the story of a group of people who are trapped in a small supermarket due to thick fog obscuring their vision and they soon discover that the fog contains strange and frightening creatures The film blends psychological and suspense aspects perfectly building increasing tension until the surprising and shocking ending.

An impressive aspect of the film is the focus on the characters and their dynamics under external pressures The film shows how humans react under pressure and how the dynamics of power and weakness between them change in the face of an external threat

The film also highlights some philosophical and moral issues such as fear despair and hope and leaves the viewer with many questions about the nature of humans and their reactions in the face of harsh situations.

In addition the strong artistic performance by the cast enhances the films impact as they perfectly convey the tension and fear experienced by the characters.

In short The Mist is not just an ordinary horror film but rather an exciting and thought provoking cinematic experience that stays with you long after the screening is over.

The Mist is a film inspired by a novel by Stephen King, if there is something I like in the few films I've seen based on this author is how very Lovecraft can be several of its plots and this film drinks a lot of that tone with dimensional horror that at least in my case I perceive.

When I saw the film I didn't know about Lovecraft at all, I came to know about him in very recent years when looking for videos about mysteries in Antarctica and when I got to know some of his stories, I remembered this film as well as IT because I imagine the creatures as I see them in these films.

Some impress more than others but there is one of them that even today I see the scene and I am amazed at its artistic representation, I am not a fan of monsters with tentacles but the one I see in this film which I will talk more about in spoiler zone is totally imposed because it is pure imagination made reality and well brought to the scene because it is given all the prominence to impose itself as if it were a god.

The film conquers only with the name, that element that has no reasoning as The Mist and from it is born all a terror that surrounds the characters, I like this, using nature as something from where the terror is born, it is not new because our ancestors feared and worshiped this kind of phenomena that now many of them we know what they are but in situations of uncertainty as the one narrated in the film, is where our brain becomes primitive again and be afraid of nature.

I saw the film years after it was released, its propaganda caught my attention by the fact that it has several actors who appear in The Walking Dead, especially the actress Laurie Holden which I find very attractive and in this film looks spectacular, this is a detail that may interest and will not go unnoticed if you are or were a fan of the TWD series.

There is a character, is the one I like the most because I see her is very real called Carmody played by Marcia Gay Harden because her way of acting is the one that many would take if they were facing a situation full of uncertainty as the one presented in the film.

It is to analyze this character who I will delve more in the spoiler area and I know that if you see the film, she will totally call your attention for bad because you will hate her with all your being but in my case I liked it, it gives me an honest perspective of what would happen if it really happened a situation slightly similar to the argument presented and that our history shows has happened, its solutions are insane but in the past of humanity those solutions were executed and reflects that ignorance leads in situations of chaos.

It has two points to criticize where a character by grace of the script survives to generate a little more drama in the protagonist and that the decision taken by the characters at the end of the film I do not see it consistent with their actions, if more drama is generated, that is undoubtedly but I see the characters, what they have lived and I think they would have done anything but that.

The Mist is a supernatural film full of characters where each one shines in its own way, it has its moment of relevance in what it wants to tell us, that supernatural entity that overwhelms which is fog deserves 8 out of 10 because if I get involved by its mystery, the creatures some I liked and others not so much but one thing is for sure guys, that ending is apocalyptic cover.

Start spoiler zone to mention that scene and character that I liked the most.

The scene that leaves me stunned in front of the TV is the one you see as the cover of this review, that moment when the giant creature with tentacles appears is overwhelming, I see the scene and I think is the end of humanity, the God of destruction has made an appearance in this Apocalypse, this is what I think when I see that powerful moment of the film.

A note for those Star Wars fans is that yes, this creature is very similar to the imperial walkers, I also saw it that way and maybe that's why it also impacted me more because it is one of my favorites.

I liked Carmody, she gives life and evil to the film, if you hate her to no end it's because the character totally fulfilled its purpose. I mentioned it is very real because religious fanaticism is like that, totally ignorant and an event like this can easily be associated with an Apocalypse, they think like that, vehemence blinds them and in their eagerness to be right and that the scriptures will be fulfilled, they would fall into this type of absurd acts like sacrificing people, this has happened in history and if something has by nature the human being is to be very easy to influence and she is the leader type.

The first criticism that I mentioned before, the woman played by Melissa McBride who survives at the end because the script indicates so, as far as I can see from the plot that woman does not last a second alive after she leaves the supermarket based on the other deaths that just happened.

The second criticism is that the characters at the end decide to commit suicide, I see it totally incoherent, you have already fought so much, yes it is true that you have seen horrible things but the way of fighting, that eagerness to live can not dissipate so easily and less before the calm, there are no monsters nearby to justify the murder for mercy to say it somehow.

In what I really see the characters I think survive and if I get a little film that take such a radical decision in a scenario so quiet, if they spent days, weeks I would understand losing hope but I see survivors who despite seeing monsters went ahead without panic to live.

I dedicate each and every one of my posts and videos to my little dog named princess, we called her chiquito, she is no longer with us but from heaven she will see that her existence was valuable and the most beautiful thing that will exist in my heart and soul.

Hello to everyone in the Movies & TV Shows community! Today I'm bringing another movie review over here. I had some time without posting in the community and today I finally got a space for it. So we will be talking about "The Mist" or also known as The Mist, a film by director Frank Darabont, from 2007, is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Stephen King which tells the events in Maine, a town that was covered by a strange fog and changed the lives of its inhabitants. Join me!

David is a local artist. He is married to Stephanie and they have a 5-year-old son named Billy. They live near the lake, in Maine and seem to have a quiet life but on a hot night, David observes with his family some strange phenomena on the lake, it is there when he realizes that a storm is approaching but is surprised by a big bang product of the strong currents of air that have passed through the walls, windows and doors of his house. David takes shelter in the basement with his family and the next day, they contemplate the damage left by the storm.

His house has been partially destroyed because a tree has fallen on it. He also notices that the lake house that was on his property has been shattered by the tree of his neighbor, Brent (who is a lawyer), with whom he does not have a good relationship (due to past differences) but because they are both at the mercy of the same tragedy (and complaints are not useful in such circumstances), they decide to go to the supermarket together to get groceries and supplies. On this trip will go David, Billy and Brent, leaving behind their homes and Sthephanie.

On the way to the supermarket and in the supermarket itself, they see a lot of police movement. This awakens the old rumor that in the vicinity of the town, in the military bases, they are experimenting with new weapons that are able to change the weather, the project is called "Arrowhead". In a tense but harmless environment, the nightmare is unleashed when a dense fog covers the entire supermarket and from it emerges one of the inhabitants running at full speed to tell everyone in the store, that something was chasing him, a creature and that they can not leave or they will die. What can happen when a bunch of people with fear and not enough resources are trapped in the same place? Well, we'll see

La Niebla is a movie that causes me a lot of nostalgia because I remember watching it in the past when suspense and horror movies were part of the Sunday cinema. Although it is also remembered for its shocking denouement. The Mist is a real treat to watch because it is not only entertaining but even funny at some point, especially because of the appearance of some of the creatures that appear in the film. It is also interesting to see on screen how people form a small community where they debate about what is best for their survival. This of course brings the ravages of a small civilization where differences cause great pain. The ending was changed in a mutual agreement between the director and the writer. So if you have already read the book you will probably be surprised by the ending. Finally my friends, it is perhaps not the best in terms of horror and suspense but it deserves a place in the category for how much it left many in tears. Without more to say thank you very much for stopping by, see you next time, hugs.

A few weeks ago I finished watching this miniseries and although it was not one of my favorites, being an adaptation of a Stephen King novel it has some redeemable things.

It is of the horror/suspense/thriller genre and has ten episodes (~42 min each), all of which can be seen on Netflix (in the Latin American catalog).

    summary.png

A strange mist begins to appear in a small town in Maine, preventing its inhabitants from going outside.

    pueblo.png

Little by little they discover that the mist is not the only thing outside, but that there are also terrifying creatures hiding in it, which forces them to cooperate with each other in order to survive, however, the confinement begins to reveal that what is terrifying is not only outside, but also within themselves.
    characters.png

    pjs01.png

Kevin Copeland: Eve's husband and Alex Copeland's father, he tirelessly seeks to reunite with his family and to make sure they are safe. He is played by Morgan Spector.

Eve Copeland: trapped with her daughter Alyssa in a shopping mall, she is judged harshly by everyone in town because of her past. She is played by Alyssa Sutherland.

Alex Copeland: a teenage girl who, after suffering a traumatic event, has to face the trauma and her abuser during the confinement caused by the mist. She is played by Gus Birney.

Mia Lambert: she is a young runaway addicted to drugs who seeks to survive and get out of town, but due to the mist she must face her past in order to escape. She is played by Danica Curcic.

Bryan Hunt: is an amnesiac soldier who seeks answers about his past and what is going on with the mist. He is played by Okezie Morro.

    pjs02.png

Jay Heisel: son of the police chief is a talented high school soccer player who is accused of something terrible. He is played by Luke Cosgrove.

Connor Heisel: police chief, Luke's father and a respected figure in the community, seeks to survive and clear up the accusations against his son. He is played by Darren Pettie.

Adrian Garff: Alex's classmate and best friend, he suffers from domestic abuse by his father and bullying by his classmates. He is played by Russell Posner.

Nathalie Raven: a senior citizen, a nature lover who seeks to make sense of the appearance of the mist. She is played by Frances Conroy.

Gus Bradley: is the manager of the mall, he takes over the management of the situation in that place when the mist begins to spread through the town. He is played by Isiah Whitlock Jr.

Overall the concept may seem interesting and two things motivated me to watch this series: Stephen King and Frances Conroy (I love her since I saw her in American Horror Story ), however, as the episodes went by the interest and motivation to continue watching it was diluted until I finally finished watching it just to not leave it unfinished. But I think that just as we recommend content that we like and that is good, we must also warn of what is not, so let's go with the good and the bad of "The Mist".

    liked.png

The concept: being trapped by a weird mist that hides dangerous creatures is a very striking idea and gives us the chance to imagine a lot and create several moments of tension every time the characters had to face the fog.

    gusta.png

The mist: the attacks suffered by the characters who went into the mist were the most remarkable thing of the series, from my point of view of course. Although it does not happen many times, the "consequences" of having contact with the mist and the creatures hidden in it is what anyone would expect to see in a horror series.

    dislike.png

Few moments of terror: for a series of that genre, The Mist has virtually no moments that can generate fear in the viewer. I really like monster movies and series and I had high expectations of seeing some here, but it was a big disappointment how few came out and how lame they were.

    algo.png

Predictable: almost every movie or series that forces characters to take cover ends up the same way, people turning against themselves. It's a pretty worn out concept and honestly I prefer the survival approach to the "we are the monsters" approach. There is a plot twist near the end and even that is predictable, you could see it coming several episodes before it actually happened.

The pace: it stagnates many times, as I said before, I was about to stop watching it because sometimes it became quite boring, the characters are a bit dull and although they raise several questions, the pace is so weak that I didn't even feel like answering them.

    algo2.png

The ending: without wanting to make spoilers, it seems to me that the closing of the series is a bit lacking, I feel it is inconclusive and unsatisfactory, I won't say more because I do not want to spoil anything, but I did not like the ending.

In conclusion, I would recommend it only to have it in the background while doing other activities, for my taste it has nothing new, on the contrary, the story and many characters are pigeonholed in clichés of the genre, plus the performances are not the best.

However, despite all the negative points, it teaches us that in times of great challenges and difficulties we must be empathetic and function as a community in order to move forward, otherwise the results that we will obtain may be fatal.

Making a film based on a book by Stephen King conditions the director to take risks that are not at all common.

The popular American writer, who has set almost all his books in Maine, where he lives, has horror and the supernatural aspect as the main plot of his works, many of which have been made into films, with greater or lesser success.

It is worth remembering especially The Shining (in my humble opinion by far the best one, with a great performance by Jack Nicholson), The Green Mile with a great Tom Hanks, Animal Graveyard with the unknown that could mean the performance of children in a horror film, The Dead Zone directed by David Cronenberg and many others.

To give an idea of the vastness of cinematic works adapted from Stephen King's books, one number is enough: 71 films have been based on his literary work.

I especially invite my friends @hubeyma and @marisa0949 to participate of this initiative promoted by the user @wiseagent.

In this case and participating in the contest I'm going to talk about The Mist where the director achieves again one of the best film adaptations of the work of writer Stephen King.

Actually it seems more like a Lovecraftian story, where the style of the writer of Providence is best represented, a monster movie, which in a way follows the structure of 'Night of the Living Dead' (Night of the Living Dead, 1968), the biggest and best classic of George A. Romero that marked from then on a milestone to be followed by the rest of the directors.

The difference between Frank Darabont's film and George A. Romero's is that it manages to differentiate the human drama from the horror itself, with a modern sensibility.

    221.-Cine-horror-context-The-Mist-La-Niebla-1.png

    Source: IMDB.

    banner-film-review-resena1668918_960_720.png

Suddenly a violent storm breaks out (as it could not be otherwise in a small town in Maine, where most of Stephen King's stories are set) which is followed by a dense fog that covers everything.

David Drayton and his son Billy along with others are inside a supermarket and discover that when anyone tries to leave to find their way home they never return. The fog begins to envelop the entire town.

Thus, people with different personalities are trapped inside the supermarket, each one of them locked in their own desperation and in a kind of claustrophobic terror from which they not only cannot get out, but which increases as the minutes go by.

Up to this point the film develops in a magnificent climax of suspense and anxiety that soon turns into terror when the people inside the supermarket see out of the fog some kind of monstrous creatures that are not of this world.

The only possibility to find a way out of this nightmare is to stay united and not get carried away by the differences in character that each one of them has. The greatest danger is that the group falls into panic and terror replaces the rational part inside each person.

The arrival of the apocalypse, the idea of offering sacrifices to calm these creatures and other possible solutions are presented without (dis)continuity until David wonders what is more terrifying: the monsters that lurk in the mist and gradually surround the supermarket or the people sheltered in it?

The only solution seems to be to flee as a group, amidst false prophets who predict the arrival of an imminent apocalypse and the madness into which all the members are falling in a kind of collective alienation that leads David to kill his friends and his son to prevent them from being devoured by the creatures, reserving for himself the last projectiles of his gun to commit suicide.

As he is about to do so he discovers that the gun is actually unloaded and as he resigns himself to fall into the hands of the monstrous creatures he hears a rumor coming out of the fog.

When he turns around he discovers that it is not a monster but army tanks and soldiers armed with flamethrowers are killing the monstrous creatures with them.

David at this point realizes that, in his desperation, he has killed his son and his friends in vain, instead of fighting to the end and hoping for help later. Kneeling he cries out all his pain and helplessness.

    221.-Cine-horror-context-The-Mist-La-Niebla-2.png

    Source/Fuente: IMDB.

In the midst of confusion, fear and terror, a group of people fight for their survival locked inside a supermarket.

Frank Darabont's film is a sobering allegory that revolves around the moral collapse of modern civilizations where people live in the midst of chaos, uncertainty, anguish and depression.

The story is sometimes suffocating and even contradictory, but perhaps that is the director's true objective: to confront repressive intolerance and religious fanaticism with reason and common sense in the midst of an apocalyptic context.

The form taken by the creatures, perhaps a bit grandiloquent, has little to do with the true content of the film.

Whether they are extraterrestrial beings, undead or monstrous beings that are difficult to categorize matters little. What matters is the fact that they are created by the devastation of our own consciousness. Therein lies the message.

Our own fears and terrors assume the form that each of us is willing to give them.

    221.-Cine-horror-context-The-Mist-La-Niebla-4.png

  7. The Mist on Netflix: Very slow and has the most annoying aspects of horror movies in it@netflixr2154d

As someone who had fond memories of a film called The Fog in both the original and the remake in the 2000's, this series caught my eye but I was a bit worried going in about how it was that they were going to stretch a concept that could barely fill a 90 minute film into a 10 episode season. My fears were realized almost immediately as I struggled to get through 2 episodes.

    The_Mist_title_card.png

This series is based on a Stephen King story that was only 176 pages long... too short to even be considered a novel (I don't know where that line gets drawn) so it should come as no surprise that this 10 episode, 50 minutes per episode series really drags on, especially after the pilot.

and therein lies the major problem with everything about this series

    [src](https://pmcvariety.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/the-mist-tv.jpg?w=681&h=383&crop=1)

In the first episode we are introduced to basically every character that is going to exist throughout the next 10 hours and due to the fact that they had to fill up nearly so much time based on a less-than-200-page book, the story has a TON of filler and useless dialogue that starts to get on your nerves straight away.

There are some cool moments such as a military man who has amnesia that wakes up in the forest not remembering how he got there or even who he is, and he is the first person to display what the mist is all about and shows the audience that it is evil.

    screenshot20170622at15020pmpng.png src

I will admit that I didn't watch the entire series in full beyond the first 2 episodes but from what I have read and can see from scanning the rest and watching the finale, the military guy who we later find out is named Bryan apparently has one of the only interesting character arcs in the entire production.

There are lots of typical filler that takes place, mostly in the dialogue that starts out as funny, but then just becomes annoying and I'll try to sum some of it up here.

    • People, who are all completely unfamiliar with what the "mist" is what it does continually ask in a panicky manner things like "what is that?" and "what does that do" or "why is it here?" as if other people in the same situation got there before them and are mist scholars or something.

    • Frantic actions taken by certain individuals happen frequently in order to kill off minor characters who barely had any dialogue... these people are obvious "Star Trek Red Shirts" when they appear so you know exactly when and where this is going to happen.

    • Before it is determined that the mist is evil (by the people in the show,) people don't seem all that concerned that a really really thick fog, the likes of which could only come from an industrial smoke machine just seems to come out of nowhere. They laugh and say stupid things like "well this is strange," and carry on with what they were doing. I've personally never been attacked by fog or mist, but if a ground level massive cloud is heading my way, I'm probably gonna get out of the way

    • People are inexplicably in the middle of the forest during the mist that you can't even see through. How on earth did they even get out there in zero visibility? None of this is explained and when these scenes start, you already know that it is just another excuse to kill someone in a gory fashion

    • One group of people are trapped in a shopping mall and unable to get in touch with anyone because the mist knows how to disable cell phone service (this feature didn't exist in the Stephen King novella because mobile phones didn't exist in 1980 and people probably couldn't conceive of the concept back then.... of course the shopping mall has zero land lines.

    • People know they are safe if they just stay indoors but even though they one group is trapped in a well-equipped shopping mall, person after person feels compelled to leave.

So all of that are just some of the annoying aspects of this series but the biggest flaw that it has was that it was on network TV to begin with before coming to Netflix (it was on Spike TV) and ANY show that has to stick to a certain number of episodes and certain length per episode is always going to suffer the same fate.

I think there is a very good reason why this show started out strong and then quickly lost nearly all of their network viewers. They struggled to get just a couple hundred thousand viewers per episode after the pilot did well and the 2nd episode seriously disappointed. It was cancelled in the same year that it was introduced and I say, good riddance.

    Should I watch it

If it wasn't clear from what I wrote above this show is pretty bad and even though I am starving for a new series I won't set my standards low enough to suffer through this, and I don't think many other people will either.

  8. The Mist Review - Terror Behind The Fog@reviewzzz2192d

When the time for fog comes, and great terror comes with it A person is afraid of the dark because he does not know what will happen next Man is afraid of some animals because he does not know their reaction Fog may seem like a normal event in the middle of the day, but here it brought great suffering To a group of ordinary residents. To face what you cannot see is the most difficult type of vector. Anxiety develops into fear and fear turns into terror. We have a movie released 13 years ago, but it still gives us a good performance and still attracts more views Despite all that time. This is due to the genius acting and the coolest movie directing. Perhaps the film did not cost a lot of money, and we see many modern technologies such as the present day films. But he proved that success is for idea and creativity.

    image.png

    The story

The story begins with a boy who goes to the supermarket to buy some family needs There a lot of people find it and the store seemed crowded at the time But there was a surprise waiting for them. Time to fog! An ordinary event happens all the time, so they had to wait for the fog to go back to their homes But the fog does not seem to fade, so some people decide to go in the fog and go outside But here, the surprise occurs, as screams, blood, and body parts are heard inside. There seem to be monsters outside! Where did it come from, how and why does anyone know? Monsters are starting to attack the market and try to go outside, but they lock all the doors and the store becomes their only haven. Up here things seem almost stable, but fear has spread greatly. Two categories of people emerge, one of them is trying to stick to calm and stability, and the others are terrified and they want to get out at any cost. The real problem arises when the committed women start running out and some medicines are badly needed So they decide to go to a nearby pharmacy to get some medicine, but something doesn't happen They find new monsters there, suffering increases and confrontations intensify.

    An impression of the movie

The movie is a horror movie but it is a new kind where it tells the impression of people before the disaster And their reaction when fear dominated them. It doesn't look good when you find yourself surrounded by monsters. It doesn't look easy when you don't see your enemy. It doesn't seem simple when you know that you are in danger of dying in the most horrific way you would ever give up. Despite the tragic end of the film, he tells a wonderful story that includes creativity. The film also tells us how a person thinks when 180 degrees change, after he feels that death is approaching him He finds himself ready to sacrifice anything. The film also tells us the positive feelings among the fans, which remain for the last moment.

    Photography

The cinematography in the film was fantastic although the quality of the film fell short of what was needed However, the photography and production team did their best to direct the film wonderfully and to shoot the fog shots that filled the place Then a monster suddenly appears. Or one of them disappears, then the blood spreads and the screams rise. Although the movie took place in the supermarket completely, the directing of the film in this way was very impressive. All the thrills were outside the supermarket.

    In the end

If you don't watch the movie, I recommend it to you so that you can watch it If you saw it, you can leave us your opinion on the comments below.

  9. Review of «The Mist» - When the director makes you hold your breath@reviewzzz2482d

Few films that, when finished, make you think about their dimensions and philosophies. These are films whose writer has excelled in highlighting the weaknesses of the human psyche, and discussed a hidden perspective of the human self that we are trying hard to disown or envelop it in the cloak of loose urbanization.

Now we are in front of a film rated on IMDB is 7.2 out of 10. But from my point of view, without exaggeration, I think it deserves the full mark and well deserved! Why? That's what we're going to talk about in this review.

    The story of the movie

The film is based on a novel by the famous horror writer Stephen King, of the same name. It starts when the sky roars violently one night and throws a tree close to David Drayton's country house.

But while he is in the store, a strange fog of unknown creatures that eats humans is sweeping through the city. The hero and his son, along with dozens of other superfunders, are trapped in the shopping mall, trying to stay safe from the frequent invasion of these abominable creatures. But Acidom peace between them? Isidom the safety of those creatures? Or will their safety last for themselves ?! These are questions you will answer with the toughest answer that will settle in your bed after you finish this film.

    Impression of the story

Space creatures and strenuous journey for survival is not it? What is special about this traditional plot with similar pillars in which all movies and novels? Okay, let me tell you what's special here. But before I have to warn you, there's a big burning here for the story.

I believe you to say, at first everything was normal, some calling their Lord for salvation, others guarding their children in silence, others committing suicide so that they do not suffer more. What attracted my attention was the dramatic rise in Mrs. Carmody. In psychology, there is a psychiatric syndrome called “God complex,” in which a person finds himself a god in everything he does and is the only one in his field. That, the lady has a slightly less intricate knot, that she is the new messenger of God in the earth, and bears his teachings to those who have lost the way of guidance to enlighten their cloudy path to the Supreme Garden of God. But have you stopped there? of course no!

Stephen King here indirectly explains how the tyrant was made, how to make him persist in conquering slaves, and how in the end he put an end to his tyranny. That, the lady saw that people were terrified, and the monsters outside were attacked with fixed deadlines, and accordingly she began to make the monsters still sleep - in their exact dates - coupled with the offering they offered them, just give that person to eat, It is spiritual and carries the word of the Lord. These figures at the beginning do not know that they will be role models and sanctuary, and that they will become very powerful and bass only later, hence the control of matters, and this was reflected in the look of horror that had its divisions when it called the army officer of Judah, who learned the secret of everything that happened and denies that he has a role In it, one of them killed him, and in turn took control of the situation and ordered to throw the monsters to eat and lick his sinful blood, all for the sake of atonement. Atonement for what? Of course, for the sins that you have been inspired to commit against the Lord, against yourself and against all humanity!

    Characters:

The characters in general were too many, but it can be said that the writer and screenwriter focused on the character of the hero, and the character of the woman's spirituality. In addition to some of the few figures in the middle that play the role of balancing forces between this and that, the character of the hero tries to support all other characters until they all reach a solution to that tragedy, and on the other hand focuses on his poor son and his wife who does not know what happened to them, and the spiritual woman was in The word of God was first published peacefully, but when she came to power she began to assert her control.

    Acting: The Mist

Thomas Jane played a difficult role in playing the character of the hero.He had to be a compassionate father and a firm man at the same time, a role that relies heavily on movement and the reincarnation of the man of a thousand solutions, and the genius of this actor is summed up in the scene of the end, which we will talk about. About in the tail of the review. Besides the humble representation of the other staff members of the main actors or personalities.

    Music:

It is the true music that has come to grips with the end scene, and the philosophical significance of the film is firmly entrenched in the mind and heart of the scenes that many films cannot reach.

    Finish: Special impression (warning spoilers)

Now five of them are sitting in the car, the fuel is completely out of them, and the fog surrounds them on every side. What are the moments and death comes in the most painful and cruel, so why not end our lives here and now? But we have only 4 shots. Do not worry I will take care of myself and kill all of them, and his son with them, and then sat to empty everything in his chest since the beginning of all this, and went out to fog creatures asking for salvation! But the most severe trauma comes when army tanks enter it and behind them vehicles carrying survivors of this massacre! Seconds separated his son's life from death! Everyone's life and death! He did not be patient and killed them all to live with guilt throughout his miserable life. The strength of this end is that the end of the thing does not have to be rosy, that everyone lives in peace and love and ends up doing well.

    personal opinion

The Mist definitely deserves the full mark, and a masterpiece buried among thousands of current works. I strongly advise you as soon as possible, there is a lot waiting for you.
