The Mosquito Coast is an interesting an radicalised thought provoking American TV series by Neil Cross and is loosely based on the1986 film starring Harrison Ford based on a story about a brilliant inventor that is forced to take his family on the run from the US Intelligences services funded to put and end to his discoveries and inventions that might target national security of the USA and stop the US from profiting from obsolete technologies that were kept in place to serve a strategic purpose of raising continual funds in taxes.

The family is pursued from their home across the US into Mexico were they continually have to remain off grind using their fathers inventions to evade capture.

When they stumble into the hands of a dangerous Mexican Cartel that plan on using them as leverage to further their own agenda, Allie the Father played by Justin Theroux and Margot Allies wife played by Melissa George come up with a plan that will make them enemies not only of the US but the Mexican Cartels.

The story takes a dramatic twist as the family is forced away from those they thought they could rely on after multiple mishaps make them re-evaluate those they can trust.

The Fox Family are forced into the realization that they can only rely on and trust each other as the Cartel shows the dirty hand they plan on playing.

This story is quite interesting and in my opinion typical of a government in demise as we come into unchartered territory regarding inventions and those corrupt elements behind the hidden facade of power we have all trusted for so long, as the human population become aware that governments have hidden not one but many technological advances that could have helped us as a race prosper and become a unified world.

One only needs to assess the inventions of great inventors such as Nikoli Tesla to realise that we have not been told the truth for our own good or is it for the profits of the few who are aware of these advances in technologies.

This series made me question not only advances that I have been made aware of, but others that have been undisclosed, and maybe you should find yourself questioning everything in a similar fashion, there is so much about this world yet to be discovered, dare to dream and you might just find yourself in unchartered waters, but so much better off for doing so.

    SYNOPSIS

    MY CONCLUSION

The Mosquito Coast is a story that I found was quite interesting and intriguing, the story line and plots follow a rather believable narrative about hidden technologies than could advance mandkind's growth, but has been hidden by those in power who are happy to accept financial payment and do the bidding of those who will directly benefit by hidding the truth for financial gain.

    WATCH THE TRAILER

  2. Prime impressioni su The Mosquito Coast@serialfiller1876d

image.png ENG Weirdest thing about my personal relationship with #appletvplus TV series. I like them all but love few of them viscerally enough to put them on my top list (#tedlasso, #calls, #themorningshow so far). #TheMosquitoCoast seems to be yet another excellent series that likes and is one step closer to warming my little serial heart. Starring the always excellent #justintheroux, here embodying the main character of the book of the same name written by his uncle Paul Theroux 40 years ago. A drama that starts slow but then has a lot to say. You can find a review of the first 2 episodes here:
