Si hay algo que las nuevas generaciones están haciendo hoy en día con referencia a la televisión es que todo lo que ven lo quieren convertir en una novela en donde exista puro romance y relaciones entre sus protagonistas, lo llaman "shipeo" y eso amigos es terrible. Esto lo digo porque a mucha de esta gente, no toda, que también hacen mucho ruido en redes no les ha gustado esta temporada precisamente por la carencia de lo que les comenté. Afortunadamente de ellos no dependen las valoraciones reales ni el valor real de la serie el cual es gigantesco. Esta segunda entrega creo que es mejor que la primera porque si de por sí la serie ya es realista con el tema de la salud mental y el colapso de los médicos debido a esto la trama da un salto sustancial.

If there's one thing the younger generation is doing these days with television, it's turning everything they watch into a soap opera filled with romance and relationships between the main characters. They call it "shipping," and that, my friends, is terrible. I say this because many of these people—not all, but those who make a lot of noise on social media—didn't like this season precisely because of the lack of what I mentioned. Fortunately, the true value and appreciation of the series, which is enormous, doesn't depend on them. I think this second season is better than the first because, while the series is already realistic about mental health and the strain on the medical system as a result, the plot takes a substantial leap forward.

Esta nueva temporada se desarrolla un 4 de julio, un día festivo en Estados Unidos en donde las personas al parecer se vuelven locas por los fuegos artificiales y aprovechan para hacer parrilladas y beber bastante alcohol. Todo esto genera que obviamente ocurran accidentes de todo tipo y esto es lo que al final veremos en los 15 capítulos. El formato es el mismo, cada episodio es una hora del turno diurno de estos médicos en la sala de emergencia por lo que absolutamente todo se desarrolla en ese espacio; toda la tensión, el drama y el estrés queda encapsulado en esas "4 paredes" y es con todo eso con lo que tendremos que lidiar como espectadores.

This new season takes place on July 4th, a holiday in the United States where people apparently go wild for fireworks and take advantage of the occasion to have barbecues and drink a lot of alcohol. All of this obviously leads to accidents of all kinds, and that's what we'll ultimately see in the 15 episodes. The format is the same: each episode is an hour of these doctors' day shift in the emergency room, so absolutely everything unfolds within that space. All the tension, drama, and stress is encapsulated within those "four walls," and that's what we, as viewers, will have to deal with.

Qué es lo que destaca en relación a la primera temporada? - pues que acá veremos un poco más el reflejo del deterioro mental tanto de médicos como de enfermeras producido por las circunstancias propias de una sala de emergencias. Un pequeño dato que se me olvidaba, TODO el sistema online/virtual se cae producto de un hackeo por lo que tendrán que trabajar manualmente, es decir, historias, pedidos de exámenes y pruebas, todo será a mano. El chiste de la temporada es que trabajarán como lo hacen día a día los médicos latinoamericanos porque si, esa es la triste realidad de este lado del mundo. La mente se puede abrumar por muchas cosas pero si a eso se le suma el caos de no saber trabajar de esta forma pues el colapso será inminente.

What stands out compared to the first season? Well, here we'll see a bit more of the mental deterioration of both doctors and nurses caused by the circumstances of an emergency room. One small detail I almost forgot: the ENTIRE online/virtual system crashes due to a hack, so they'll have to work manually. That means patient histories, test orders, and everything will be done by hand. The joke of the season is that they'll be working the way Latin American doctors do every day, because yes, that's the sad reality on this side of the world. The mind can be overwhelmed by many things, but if you add to that the chaos of not knowing how to work this way, then a breakdown is imminent.

Tenemos a un nuevo personaje, la médico adjunto que en teoría cubrirá a Robby en sus vacaciones, Sepideh Moafi (Baran Al-Hashimi), una figura de poder que llega para poner a prueba el temperamento y el control de Robby en un ambiente el cual tiende a estar bajo la mirada y las decisiones de él. Este choque de personalidades y egos hará que la estancia de ambos y la de los médicos que los rodean se llenen de tensiones. Sumar también que cada uno de estos personajes tienen sus "demonios" internos los cuales en más de una oportunidad saldrán a la luz para agregar más drama a una trama que de por si está cargada con todos los casos médicos que constantemente están llegando. Y es que claro, en ese aspecto la serie sigue siendo espectacular, al estar un 4 de julio los casos son diferentes y las lesiones son distintas. El realismo de los diagnósticos y tratamientos sigue siendo bastante elevado y acertados, no al 100% pero si en un porcentaje bien alto.

We have a new character, the attending physician who is supposed to cover for Robby during his vacation, Sepideh Moafi (Baran Al-Hashimi), a powerful figure who arrives to test Robby's temperament and self-control in an environment that tends to be under his watchful eye and decisions. This clash of personalities and egos will fill their stay, and that of the doctors around them, with tension. Adding to this, each of these characters has their own inner demons, which will surface on more than one occasion, adding even more drama to a plot already packed with the constant stream of medical cases. And indeed, in that aspect, the series remains spectacular. Since it's the Fourth of July, the cases are different, and the injuries are varied. The realism of the diagnoses and treatments remains quite high and accurate, not 100%, but certainly a very high percentage.

Pero como dije antes el eje principal es la salud mental y su cuidado. Robby y varios están a punto de un quiebre, como lo gestionan es la clave de todo. La serie vuelve a mostrar las vulnerabilidades, esta vez de los médicos, ante un sistema de salud que tiene sus pro pero que también tiene muchos contras. El manejo de la carga y de la responsabilidad, el sentirse importante trabajando y no querer estar afuera porque la vida no tiene sentido o hay muchos problemas; usar el trabajo como un aislante es el error que muchos cometen y que acá lo representan muy bien. La serie es espectacular, la temporada 2 es mucho más humana y cercana porque abre un poco más a los personajes y permite a las personas que no estamos familiarizados con la profesión a conocer el lado bueno pero también su lado oscuro y negro. Muy recomendada a todos. Ya está confirmada la tercera temporada cosa que es una gran noticia. Un 9/10 esta entrega. Les dejo el trailer.

But as I said before, the main focus is mental health and its care. Robby and several others are on the verge of a breakdown, and how they manage it is key. The series once again highlights vulnerabilities, this time those of doctors, within a healthcare system that has its pros but also many cons. Managing the workload and responsibility, feeling important at work and not wanting to be away because life is meaningless or there are too many problems; using work as an escape is a mistake many make, and this series portrays it very well. The show is spectacular; season 2 is much more human and relatable because it delves deeper into the characters and allows those of us unfamiliar with the profession to see both its positive and dark sides. Highly recommended to everyone. The third season has already been confirmed, which is great news. This season gets a 9/10. Here's the trailer.

One of HBO’s most successful series, which has won awards and offered a stark portrayal of what really happens in a hospital, is back. Known as The Pitt, its second season picks up where the story left off, with people’s lives hanging in the balance. It’s also like a door that should never have been fully closed, since there were cases left unresolved—and now it lays bare the chaos and a reality that very few people like to talk about.

The second season maintains the same format of presenting one episode for each hour of the shift, and there’s something this new season makes clear from the start: there’s no rest here—there will be more cases and more desperation. And, knowing the dynamics, this second season decides to go further, achieving a much stronger pace; there are no mistakes, and it maintains that sense of hospital reality—something very few productions have managed to do.

Una ser las series más éxitos de HBO, la cual se llevó premios y mostró una gran realidad de lo que ocurre en un hospital está de regreso y esta es conocida cómo The Pitt y está segunda temporada continua para retomar una historia donde la vida de las personas está en juego. Como también podría ser una puerta que nunca debió cerrarse del todo, ya que quedaron casos por hacer atendidos y ahora muestra el desastre y una realidad que a muy pocos le gusta hablar.

La segunda temporada mantiene el mismo estilo de presentar un episodio por cada hora del turno y hay algo que esta nueva temporada deja claro desde el inicio: aquí no hay descanso, donde habrá más casos, desespero y al conocer cómo es la dinámica esta segunda parte decide ir más allá, logrando un ritmo mucho más fuerte, no hay errores y mantiene esa sensación de realidad de un hospital y muy pocas producciones lo han logrado.

You can see that the characters remain true to themselves, and what’s interesting isn’t just what happens in the hospital, but what goes on inside each person as they have to take on much greater responsibilities. They’re already familiar with the routine, and fatigue begins to set in; they understand what it means to be there when a response or a decision is needed. And despite that, they aren’t perfect—they’re just people trying to help.

Everything fits together perfectly, creating a great pace that feels exciting and at the same time causes despair, since you imagine what it would be like if you were in that situation. As the story moves forward, nothing feels like filler, and it’s as if time inside that hospital doesn’t exist in the same way it does outside.

Se pueden notar que los personajes se mantiene y lo interesante no es solo lo que ocurre en el hospital, sino lo que pasa dentro de cada persona, al tener que asumir responsabilidades mucho más grandes, ya conocen cómo es la rutina y comienza también a aparecer el cansancio, y lo que implica estar ahí al momento de dar una respuesta, de una decisión y a pesar de eso no son Perfectos son personas tratando de ayudar.

Todo encaja a la perfección, logrando un gran ritmo que se sienta emociónate y a la vez causa desespero, ya que uno se imagina si uno estuviera en esa situación. Donde todo avanza, no hay nada que se sienta como relleno y como si el tiempo dentro de ese hospital no existiera de la misma manera que afuera.

Esta segunda parte también cuenta con cosas nueva cambio dentro del equipo, lo cual genera fricción, conflicto, puesto que un pequeño cambio todo se puede ver afectado. Sin embargo, más allá de cada caso que tiene que atender lo que realmente vale es ese desgaste emocional, las dudas, las decisiones que se quedan en la cabeza incluso después de que el turno termina. Porque todo eso tiene un costo, que tarde o temprano se puede ver afectado.

Esta segunda temporada busca profundizar la historia, siendo más intensa, más directa y, sobre todo, más humana. Por eso The Pitt no es solo una historia sobre hospitales, es una historia sobre resistencia y de dejar una huella en un lugar como ese.

¡Hola amigos de Movies & Tv! Espero que se encuentren muy bien y que tengan una excelente semana ☺️. Quería contarles sobre la experiencia que tuve viendo la famosa serie de HBOMax: The Pitt. Está serie la vio mi hermana y aunque no me llama mucho la atención las series que tienen que ver con medicina o de este estilo, decidí verla porque se veía bastante movida en cuanto a situaciones que van pasando durante la primera temporada, ya próximamente el año que viene saldrá la segunda y estoy emocionada por verla. Así que les contaré un poco sobre mi opinión acerca de la primera temporada de The Pitt.

My sister watched this series, and although I'm not usually drawn to series about medicine or similar topics, I decided to watch it because it seemed quite action-packed in terms of the situations that unfold during the first season. The second season will be released next year, and I'm excited to see it. So, I'll tell you a little bit about my opinion of the first season of The Pitt.

La trama sigue la historia del hospital Pitt en Pittsburgh, Estados Unidos donde un grupo de medicos y residentes están trabajando durante todo el día para recuperar a la mayor cantidad de pacientes que llegan constantemente a emergencias. En primer lugar el doctor Robby es el encargado de la parte de emergencias por lo que es el que lleva la batuta sobre los demás médicos, residentes y enfermeras. El tiene bastante tiempo trabajando en este hospital y también tiene una fuerte vocación por la medicina, sobre todo por un querido colega con el que tiene una fuerte conexión y que por distintas razones termina por ser el gran tormento en la vida de Robby. Además los medicos y residentes también forman parte esencial de este grupo de medicos que están por vivir uno de los días más agitados y de mayor estrés de su carrera.

The plot follows the story of Pitt Hospital in Pittsburgh, United States, where a group of doctors and residents are working around the clock to treat as many patients as possible who are constantly arriving at the emergency room. First and foremost, Dr Robby is in charge of the emergency department, so he is the one who leads the other doctors, residents and nurses. He has been working at this hospital for quite some time and also has a strong vocation for medicine, especially because of a beloved colleague with whom he has a strong connection and who, for various reasons, ends up being the great torment in Robby's life. In addition, the doctors and residents are also an essential part of this group of doctors who are about to experience one of the most hectic and stressful days of their careers.

Es increíble que en al menos tres días completos me ví los quince episodios de la primera temporada, siento que fue como ver una serie de medicos pero con mensajes positivos dentro de cada uno de los casos que iban atendiendo. Es un hospital que realmente parece irreal, hay muy buena comunicación entre los medicos y residentes aunque algunos tienen ciertos roces y palabras que pueden venir del mismo momento de tensión al encontrarse con un caso complicado.

It's incredible that in at least three full days I watched all fifteen episodes of the first season. I feel like it was like watching a medical series but with positive messages within each of the cases they were treating. It's a hospital that really seems unreal. There is very good communication between the doctors and residents, although some have certain frictions and words that may come from the very moment of tension when encountering a complicated case.

Each has their own personality and approach to medical cases, as well as their own problems like any human being, and this is something that stands out in the series: the way they respect the vulnerable side of human beings while saving lives.

Este drama médico fue bastante galardonado y no es para menos, cuenta con excelentes actuaciones, ambiente y una buena forma de mantener siempre la atención del que lo este mirando. Lo que más me gustó fue que las grabaciones de la primera temporada se dan como un día entero de trabajo y, en cada episodio al comienzo muestran una hora entera del día en el que se encuentren trabajando, puede ser desde las 6 a 7 o de 12 a 1 de la tarde. Esto me pareció muy chévere y también que cada final de los episodios venían luego con la continuación en el siguiente donde había quedado la historia, siento que le dio más realismo al querer mostrar que todo ocurrió en un día de jornada laboral.

This medical drama has won numerous awards, and it's no wonder why. It features excellent performances, atmosphere, and a great way of keeping the viewer's attention throughout. What I liked most was that the recordings of the first season are presented as a whole day's work, and at the beginning of each episode, they show a whole hour of the day they are working, which can be from 6 to 7 or from 12 to 1 in the afternoon. I thought this was very cool, and I also liked that each episode ended with a continuation in the next episode where the story left off. I feel that it added more realism by showing that everything happened in one working day.

Hay casos bastante simples como otros muy serios, dónde los pacientes pueden llegar por una simple intoxicación como también producto de un accidente o de una enfermedad tanto física como mental. En el hospital no solo se enfocan en salvar las vidas de los pacientes sino también en darles el trato humano que se merecen y en verificar que siempre estén completamente sanos para darlos de alta. Además no puede faltar el drama que se agrega a cualquiera historia y en esta serie no fue una excepción, hay dramas entre médicos, dramas entre pacientes y sus propios familiares, dramas dentro de la propia gerencia del hospital y por supuesto un drama aún más profundo con el personaje principal de Robby.

There are some fairly simple cases and others that are very serious, where patients may arrive due to simple poisoning or as a result of an accident or physical or mental illness. The hospital not only focuses on saving patients' lives, but also on treating them with the humanity they deserve and ensuring that they are completely healthy before discharging them. In addition, there is always drama added to any story, and this series was no exception. There is drama between doctors, drama between patients and their own families, drama within the hospital management itself, and of course, even deeper drama with the main character, Robby.

Disfruté mucho esta serie y deseo ya ver la siguiente temporada, no es nada aburrida y no cansa ver tantos términos médicos y procedimientos que aplican para los pacientes, los personajes son dinámicos y cada uno tiene su propia manera de encajar en el hospital aún cuando algunos están comenzando como residentes y esto genera aún mas tensión y dudas entre ellos. En general es una excelente serie si disfrutas de las historias sobre medicina y que tengan un toque de drama con una historia personal de cada personaje que se aborda muy bien y que le agrega más vulnerabilidad como seres humanos a cada uno de los médicos. Espero puedan verla y me cuenten si ya lo hicieron que les pareció 👨🏻‍⚕️🩺

I really enjoyed this series and can't wait to see the next season. It's not boring at all, and it's not tiring to see so many medical terms and procedures applied to patients. The characters are dynamic, and each one has their own way of fitting into the hospital, even though some are just starting out as residents, which creates even more tension and doubts among them. Overall, it's an excellent series if you enjoy stories about medicine with a touch of drama and a personal story for each character that is handled very well and adds more vulnerability as human beings to each of the doctors. I don't think I've been so hooked on a show since Dr. House as I was with The Pitt. And although there are many medical drama shows in the entertainment world, none had managed to captivate me like the one I mentioned. I know that many will name countless others, saying that this one is better than that one, or that they prefer to watch the drama of Grey's Anatomy. All of that is valid, but I'm here specifically to name the reasons why I loved The Pitt.

The Pitt is a television series that chronicles the details of the emergency room at a hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is a portrait of everything that healthcare workers (and patients) experience in U.S. hospitals. This ward is led by Dr. Robby, who is in charge of a legion of doctors and interns who will carry out their work during a 12-hour shift.

What I liked most about this series is that each episode tells the story of what happens in one hour of the shift; as each episode progresses, each hour progresses. So, the entire season tells the story of what happened in a single shift. I find this quite novel, and it gives a new approach to a genre that could be trite. There is no romance, it doesn't exist, perhaps a hint of some uncertain flirting between one doctor and another, but that's not what the series is about. What it is about is medicine, treatments, there is a lot of blood and shocking images. I loved this, it's just what I wanted to see.

Of course, the interpersonal relationships between the characters are important, as they are a group of workers who live together in the same work environment, where there will be friction and compliments.

Creo que desde Dr. House no me colgaba tanto con un Show como lo hice con The Pitt. Y aunque hay muchísimos shows de drama médico en el mundo del espectáculo, no había logrado embeberme así desde la que ya mencioné. Sé que muchos nombrarán innumerables, que si esta es mejor que aquella, no que prefieren ver el drama de Grey’s Anatomy. Todo eso es valedero, pero yo vengo en específico a nombrar las razones por las que me encantó The Pitt.

The Pitt es una serie para televisión que relata los pormenores de la sala de Urgencias de un hospital en Pittsburgh, Pensilvania. Este es un retrato de todo lo que viven los personales de salud (y los pacientes) en los hospitales de EE. UU.. Esta sala está liderada por el Dr. Robby, quien está a cargo de una legión de médicos e internistas que llevarán a cabo su labor durante una guardia de 12 horas.

Lo que más me gustó de esta serie es que cada capítulo cuenta la historia de lo que ocurre en una hora de la guardia; a medida que avanza cada capítulo, avanza cada hora. Por lo que, toda la temporada cuenta lo ocurrido en una sola guardia. Esto me parece bastante novedoso y le da un nuevo enfoque a un género que podría estar trillado. No hay romance, no existe, tal vez un deje de algún coqueteo incierto entre uno que otro médico, pero la serie no se trata de eso. De lo que si se trata es de medicina, de tratamientos, hay mucha sangre e imágenes impactantes. Esto lo amé, es justamente lo que estaba deseando ver.

Por supuesto que las relaciones interpersonales entre los personajes es importante, tan considerable como son un grupo de trabajadores que conviven en una misma área de trabajo, en el que habrá roces y halagos.

There are beloved characters, and others, naturally, who are hated. But they are the kind of characters we love to hate. I can tell you that the one I definitely loved was Dr. Robby, played by Noah Wyle, whom some of you will recognize because he starred in another well-known medical drama: E.R. For a moment, I thought it was a spin-off, but it turned out to be a completely different story.

Something important to note is the themes the show touches on, which is, in general, the reason I felt hooked, and that is the medical cases combined with the patients' experiences. The reasons why they come to the emergency room and everything behind it. In addition, there are the long lines in the waiting room, which is surely something we've all experienced at some point, where patients are treated according to the severity of their emergency and not on a first-come, first-served basis.

One more thing that stood out this season is what doctors have to go through during a shooting (without getting into a debate about why they do it, because I could spoil it), and everything that healthcare workers have to go through to treat the dozens of people who arrive at the emergency room to deal with a catastrophe of this magnitude. A gem.

Existen personajes amados, y otros, como es natural, odiados. Pero son ese tipo de personajes que amamos odiar. Algo importante a destacar son los temas que toca el show, y es, en general, la razón por la que me sentí atrapada, y son los casos médicos aunados a las experiencias de los pacientes. Las razones por las que llegan a urgencias y todo lo que hay detrás. Además, de las largas colas en la sala de espera, que de seguro es algo por lo que todos hemos pasado alguna vez, en donde atienden por relevancia de la emergencia y no por orden de llegada.

Una cosa más que fue lo más resaltante de la temporada, es lo que deben pasar los médicos a la hora de una balacera, (sin entrar en debate por las razones por las que lo hacen, porque puedo hacer un espóiler), y todo lo que deben pasar los trabajadores de la salud para poder atender a las decenas de personas que llegan a las salas de urgencia para tratar con una catástrofe de estos calibres. Una joya.

Si les gusta el género la van a disfrutar. Pueden ver la primera temporada en HBO MAX. Y ya tenemos tráiler para la segunda. También es bastante pertinente comentar que ya tiene doce nominaciones para los Emmys que se celebrarán este domingo 14 de septiembre, pero ya tienen dos ganados por mejor actor invitado y por mejor casting (nueva categoría). Estoy sinceramente sorprendida, porque basada en la competencia tan fuerte que tiene este año, no veía como una posibilidad que ganaran algo.

Las series televisivas de medicina son algo que me gustan ver mucho, como Chicago Med, Dr. House y en su tiempo la serie de Emergencias ahi por los 90's. Pero no me esperaba algo tan intenso como la serie de The Pitt.
Si alguna vez han visto la serie de "24" la premisa de estar cronológicamente en tiempo real, en vez de que un capítulo de la serie pasen varios días dentro del mismo capítulo, en la serie de 24 pasaba justo 40 minutos, lo que dura un capítulo normalmente menos comercial. Y en la serie de The Pitt es exactamente igual.
Toda esta primera temporada de tan solo 15 capítulos nos centraremos en un solo día, mas bien en el turno matutino del departamento de urgencias del ficticio Hospital Médico de Traumas de Pittsburgh
Empezando el dia a las 7:00 AM y ni tiempo tenemos de ir conociendo a los personajes porque como a un verdadero hospital de urgencias en todo momento van llegando en ambulancias personas a punto de morir ya sea por estar a punto de sufrir un infarto, alguien fue atropellado, porque se estaba ahogando alguien o porque uno de los pacientes llego por recibir algún balazo en un asalto sin mencionar a todo los que están en la sala de espera demasiado llena queriendo ser también atendidos.
Entonces es a través de este ir y venir al estar checando y salvando pacientes el cómo vamos conociendo a nuestros personajes, desde el jefe de la sala de urgencias y los demás médicos expertos, tanto como a los residentes y los estudiantes de medicina que están en su proceso de aprendizaje también salvando vidas.
Pero si cada capítulo representa una hora del dia y un turno dura 8 horas, entonces porque esta primera temporada tiene 15 capitulos, bueno, porque justamente a las últimas horas del turno pasan un suceso que se va construyendo desde el primer capitulo que hace que todo el personal de urgencias termine quedándose horas extra que incluso son apoyados con el turno vespertino para intentar cubrir la cantidad de pacientes en riesgo a morir para ser salvados.
En esta serie en todo momento está pasando algo que no deja que te distraigas en otra cosa, ademas la serie puede ser un poco grafica, por lo que si en otras series médicas no veíamos gran cosa del paciente enfermo, aqui podemos llegar a ver como se le ve una pierna destrozada a alguien que fue arrollado por un tren.
Me gustaría contarles mas, pero sería hacer spoiler, mejor denle una oportunidad para verla, por lo mientras yo esperare al 2026 a que se estrene la segunda temporada y poder ver mas de esta serie. Y si has visto la serie, por favor dejame un comentario diciendome que te parecio

It's been almost a year since I last wrote a movie review, and understandably so. No one wrote a manual for juggling being a Business Analyst; 9-5, going to the gym at least twice a week, studying, trying to have a social life and doing a bunch of other stuff, but hey, a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. This is not to say of course I've not being seeing any show, as a matter of fact, it has been one of my favourite ways to relax, along with going to the gym, playing football and playing video games. Anyways, I've seen a number of movies/TV shows lately, and hopefully I'm able to write and recommend to you guys. You guys should trust my candor, and taste by now, lol.
ABOUT

The show is basically a medical procedural drama TV series that follows emergency department staff as they attempt to survive a fifteen hour shift with all the struggles that comes with. Staff shortage, endless patients, a mass shooting, etc. Each episode of the season covers approximately one hour of the work shift, which makes it as realistic as it gets.
THE GOOD

This is arguably one of the best TV series I've watched in my entire life. Those are huge claims, but for good reasons. Everything about this show was near perfection. Humane, compassionate, real, emotional, intense, hard-hitting, etc. those are just a few ways to describe this master piece. Imagine a show so good, the whole fifteen episodes, each an hour long, was set in one place; the ER. Usually, the first thing you'd think when this pops up on your list is, to think it's like the rest. I mean, we've seen a lot of great medical procedural drama series in the past, what could make this one so special? Well, only watching this would answer that. I couldn't afford to stop viewing any of the episodes, and when I had to get some snooze, I was thinking of seeing the next episode. Yeah, it was that engrossing. The show was intense, making you try to keep up with the actions and different new events. The acting was genuine and really original, with great cut scenes, that weren't medically related. My best part was that it made me see medical practitioners and health care workers for who they truly are, super heroes. While battling typical bureaucratic nonsense, they continue to deliver and give their one hundred percent. What a gem of a show.
THE BAD

I look at this movie and I think, there isn't any single thing I could possibly point out as a negative. Of course there are a few things that could have been done better, like the hospital administrator coming to complain almost every hour (yeah, I didn't like Gloria too), but you could argue that since it's a straight fifteen hour movie/shift, and it only had to happen to add that bit of drama, but regardless, it was a tad annoying.
STREAM OR SKIP?

STREAM. I don't think there has been a more obvious choice. It has everything. Drama, emotion, strategy, humanity, brilliance in acting, amazing storytelling, plot twist, etc. everything. Fifteen hours of pure delight. Riveting and engrossing are two perfect adjective to describe this one. A ten out of ten for me for Max's special.

A lo largo de la historia hemos visto cosas como: Dr House, The Good Doctor, The Resident, New Amsterdam, Grey's Anatomy, ER y un largo etcétera y con apenas una temporada puedo decir que ninguna de esas series le llega a The Pitt. Estas series son increíblemente adictivas pero lo que tiene esta en particular es que se centra en casi un 80-90% en la medicina pura, dura y sobretodo real. Tengo una amiga médico general y le pedí que la viera para ver qué tan realista es y quedó muy sorprendida por el buen manejo de los tratamientos, enfermedades, diagnósticos pero por sobre todas las cosas, el gore que tiene y es que si eres débil con la sangre, puede que te cueste ver un capitulo.

Throughout history we have seen things like: Dr House, The Good Doctor, The Resident, New Amsterdam, Grey's Anatomy, ER and a long etcetera and with just one season I can say that none of those series comes close to The Pitt. These series are incredibly addictive but the thing about this one in particular is that it focuses almost 80-90% on pure, hard and above all real medicine. I have a friend who is a general practitioner and I asked her to watch it to see how realistic it is and she was very surprised by the good handling of treatments, diseases, diagnoses but above all, the gore it has and if you are weak with blood, you may have a hard time watching an episode.

Acá tenemos a Robby (Noah Wyle), si, el mismo de ER pero esta vez en el rol del médico líder de la sala de urgencias de un hospital público en Pittsburgh. La serie no tiene mucho misterio en cuanto a trama pero si innova en algo y es que son 15 capítulos siendo cada uno de ellos una hora del turno diurno en dicha sala, es decir, episodio 1 (6am-7am) y así sucesivamente. Esto hace que la serie, como ya dije, se enfoque mayoritariamente en las emergencias y deje a un lado las vidas de cada uno de los protagonistas. Esto no quiere decir que no lleguemos a tener contexto de cada uno de ellos, con el pasar de las horas los vamos conociendo cada vez más al mismo tiempo que los vemos tratar a cada paciente que va llegando.

Más allá de lo médico, que es el centro de todo, de las cosas más acertadas es el ambiente que se vive y respira en una sala de urgencias y la capacidad que tuvieron para calcar todo eso es grande. Las situaciones que allí pueden ocurrir son muy particulares e infinitas y acá está todas o por lo menos las más comunes, desde las personas que confían más en Google que en los doctores, hasta los que por miedo o vergüenza no son capaces de hablarle claros los médicos para poder tratarlos como deberían. Cada paciente es único y es un mundo diferente, la forma de tratarlos a nivel humano con paciencia y tacto también forma parte de las funciones de un médico y muchos de los casos que aça verán tiene que ver mucho con eso.

Pero es que la atmósfera entre los médicos también es complicada, puede que haya mucho ego de por medio, a veces todo puede ser muy hostil por la competitividad que hay o porque los residentes siempre tienden a ser muy duros con los estudiantes de medicina. Esas relaciones entre ellos forman parte de la trama y su desarrollo dentro del turno. De hecho hay par de situaciones complejas entre un par de ellos que cambian la dinámica completamente de la sala. Creo que mostrar el lado humano y demostrarle a las personas que estos médicos, enfermeros, etc la pasan mal y hacen lo que pueden con lo que tienen llevando su físico a extremos es de las grandes cosas de The Pitt; el agobio real de los doctores por situaciones que los sobrepasan en muy evidente de ver.

But the atmosphere among the doctors is also complicated, there may be a lot of ego involved, sometimes everything can be very hostile because of the competitiveness that exists or because the residents always tend to be very hard on the medical students. Those relationships between them are part of the plot and their development within the shift. In fact there are a couple of complex situations between a couple of them that completely change the dynamics of the ward. I think showing the human side and showing people that these doctors, nurses, etc. have a hard time and do what they can with what they have by taking their physicality to extremes is one of the great things about The Pitt; the real overwhelm of the doctors by situations that overwhelm them is very evident to see.

Parte del éxito de esta serie pasa por lo realista que es. Particularmente mencionó una escena de un parto que se complica y se tiene que hacer en urgencias. Es tan gráfica que el parto se ve a la perfección, todo el proceso. Lograr ese nivel de precisión y que todo se vea tan auténtico es impresionante. Y así es con todo; maniobras médicas, terminologías, uso de los equipos médicos, todo es exacto. Y esto me lleva a los actores. El libreto que se tienen que memorizar estas personas es probablemente más complicado que el de una película promedio porque no es ficción, como les comenté, todo lo expuesto es tal cual la realidad. Creo que todos hacen un trabajo espectacular, no dejo por fuera a ninguno. Todos con sus personalidades y problemas hacen que la historia a veces sea un poco más profunda.

Part of the success of this series lies in how realistic it is. She particularly mentioned a scene of a birth that gets complicated and has to be done in the emergency room. En fin, estamos ante una serie que si sigue la misma línea será de las grandes cosas en la televisión. Esta primera temporada fue perfecta, para mi es un 10/10, El formato, el realismo, lo cruda que puede llegar a ser, lo gráfica y sobretodo lo humana hacen que The Pitt sea el mejor drama médico que haya visto en décadas. In short, we are facing a series that if it follows the same line will be one of the great things on television. The health area in any part of the world will always be very important and therefore it is necessary to have a great team of professionals and spaces to be able to cover everything and that people can stay alive. Beyond that, a series recently premiered on HBO Max, where a director manages to recreate an entire shift in a hospital, which will be quite an adventure for doctors to attend each of the cases that come to the hospital and had long not seen something of this genre and is also shocking as equipment and new diseases are coming out and any human being can be affected.

El área de salud en cualquier parte del mundo siempre será muy importante y por eso se necesita contar con un gran equipo de profesionales y espacios para así poder cubrir todo y que las personas pueden seguir con vida. Más allá de eso hace poco se estrenó una serie en HBO Max, donde un director logra recrear todo un turno dentro un hospital, la cual será todo una aventura para los médicos poder atender cada uno de los casos que llegan a dicho hospital y tenía mucho tiempo que no veía algo de este género y es impactante también como los equipos y nuevas enfermedades van saliendo y cualquier ser humano puede ser afectado.

Esta serie es concordia como The Pitt, con tan solo poco tiempo de su estreno ha logrado un gran impacto, donde vamos a notar cómo es turno de los médicos en especial de doce horas de trabajo en dicho lugar, en el área de emergencia uno de los sitios más estresante y lo importante allí es como los doctores tiene que asumir cada responsabilidad y poner en práctica todo ese conocimiento. Además, veremos, cómo en cada turno de un hospital pueden llegar personas cualquiera situación, de todas las edades y casos que pueden ser muy sencillos como otros que pueden poner en riesgo a la persona y causar la muerte, por eso nos preguntamos ¿Podrán los doctores aguantar todo el turno?, ¿A cuántas personas pueden salvar? Y muchas otras cosas que pasan en cuestión de segundos en un hospital.

I liked the way the whole plot is presented and in each of the episodes new cases are arriving to the emergency room, where it is incredible the capacity that the doctors have with just a few tests they can highlight possible diseases, also the emergency room is a disaster because of the amount of people and the series shows it in a way as if it were so real, just imagine it is not pleasant, now being there for many years that is to love the work and the profession of medicine. In addition, it is a series that has a unique touch and I liked that within the doctors, there are several young people who are as assistants and that leads him to continue learning new techniques, know how to handle that world and especially put yourself in the shoes of each patient so you can listen to them and know what they have.

Me gusto la manera como plantean toda la trama y en cada uno de los episodios van llegando casos nuevos a la sala de emergencia, donde es increíble la capacidad que tiene la doctores con tan solo pocas pruebas pueden destacar posibles enfermedades, además la salas de emergencia es todo un desastre por la cantidad de personas y la serie lo demuestra de una manera como si fuera tan real, que solo imaginarlo no es nada agradable, ahora estar allí durante muchos años eso es amar el trabajo y la profesión de medicina. Además, es una serie que cuenta con un toque único y me gusto que dentro de los médicos, existen varios jóvenes que están como ayudante y eso lo lleva a seguir aprendiendo nuevas técnicas, saber cómo se maneja ese mundo y en especial ponerse en los zapatos de cada paciente para así poder escucharlos y saber que tienen.

La producción prácticamente siempre será lo mismo, es decir, en el hospital y de allí es donde cada doctor toma un caso paras así poder estudiarlo y que la persona puede estar bien, a pesar de que llegan caso que son muy fuerte y solo los expertos saben qué hacer para que así todo salga de la mejor manera. Todo va saliendo de una manera muy buena, la capacidad que tiene los doctores es increíble y lo que impacta es que tiene que lidiar con toda esa presión, estrés y que todo salga de la mejor manera y por eso no todo el mundo estudia medicina, así que es algo de admirar y se tiene que valoras todo ese trabajo que hacen para la salud de las personas.

Cada uno de los médicos que hacen vida en la serie son de gran importancia para el bienestar de todos, donde podemos ver que existen doctores de mayor rango, distinto espáciales, como otros que apenas están comenzando en dicha sala de emergencia, sin embargo, lo importante allí es todo ese trabajo en equipo, la unión, apoyarse uno al otro para así poder resolver cada situación que llega a las salas de emergencia, por eso en ese grupo nada es más importante que nadie, ya que todos aportan para la salud de las personas.

It is a very good series and it is really shocking and stressful to see how an emergency room moves and works in any shift, also the attention and each of the teams that are there allows everything to stir in a very good way in order to ensure the safety of the patient and watching the whole series, it gives me some sadness that health here in Venezuela can not be like other countries, to have something of good quality and to go any day everything is fine, that is where the difference between a good and bad country is shown. Beyond that you are looking for an entertaining series and loaded with very good information, do not miss this one and see how doctors save lives.

Es una serie muy buena y de verdad que es impactante y estresante ver cómo se mueve y funciona una sala de emergencia en cualquier turno, además la atención y cada uno de los equipos que están allí permite que todo se revuelva de una manera muy buena para así poder garantizarle la seguridad al paciente y viendo toda la serie, me da algo de tristeza que la salud aquí en Venezuela no puede ser igual que otros países, poder contar con algo de buena calidad y poder ir cualquier día todo este bien, es allí donde se muestra la diferencia entre un país bueno y malo. Más allá de eso estás buscando una serie entretenida y cargada de muy buena información, no dejes pasar esta y ver cómo doctores salvan vida.
