I admit I have a weakness for hospital series, but this time I didn't just stick around for the surgical dramas or medical complications. Here, the story of Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and Savant Syndrome, gives a different twist to the genre, showing us that genius can come with great challenges.

   For that reason, what caught me most about The Good Doctor was how it balances Shaun's medical genius with his emotional vulnerability, making us empathize with him without falling into clichés or romanticizing his condition. From my perspective as a psychologist, I really liked how they dealt with the issue of neurodiversity, reflecting it in an appropriate and realistic way. Although Shaun presents a high level of autism, throughout the series we see how, with practice and effort, he manages to adapt to the demands of his environment, both personally, socially and professionally. I liked that they emphasized that ASD is not a disability, but a different way of processing the world. And his evolution was believable, not something miraculous from the script, it showed his failures, moments of frustration, and the way in which, little by little, he improved his social skills, emotional regulation and empathy towards others.

   Por esa razón, lo que más me atrapó de The Good Doctor fue cómo equilibra la genialidad médica de Shaun con su vulnerabilidad emocional, logrando que podamos empatizar con él sin caer en clichés ni romantizar su condición. Desde mi perspectiva como psicóloga, me gustó mucho cómo trataron el tema de la neurodiversidad, reflejándolo de manera adecuada y realista. Aunque Shaun presenta un nivel alto de autismo, a lo largo de la serie vemos cómo, con práctica y esfuerzo, logra adaptarse a las exigencias de su entorno, tanto en lo personal como en lo social y profesional.    One of the moments that impacted me the most was when they did not want to let him continue with his residency in Surgery, suggesting that he switch to Pathology just because his diagnosis made them doubt his ability to deal directly with people. That situation hurt me deeply, because it reflects the same prejudices and challenges that many people with ASD face in real life. Shaun wanted to be a surgeon because he was passionate about it, and because his greatest desire was to save lives. Those episodes were hard to watch, because they showed how they ignored his talent, and focused solely on the supposed “limits” of his condition.

   And, of course, I can't fail to mention that I love the medical cases the series gave us. Each one was interesting and complex, keeping the focus on the whole process of diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. That mix between emotional drama and fascinating medical cases that manages to hook you completely.

   Uno de los momentos que más me impactó fue cuando no querían dejarlo continuar con su residencia en Cirugía, sugiriéndole que cambiara a Patología solo porque su diagnóstico les hacía dudar de su capacidad para tratar directamente con personas. Esa situación me dolió profundamente, porque refleja los mismos prejuicios y desafíos que muchas personas con TEA enfrentan en la vida real. Shaun quería ser cirujano porque le apasionaba, y porque su mayor deseo era salvar vidas. Esos episodios fueron duros de ver, porque mostraban cómo ignoraban su talento, y se enfocaban únicamente en los supuestos "límites" de su condición.

   And, although I love how it constantly questions the prejudices of the medical environment, I feel there are some weak points that could have been improved. Like, for example, the development of some secondary characters was half-hearted. There were characters that had good potential, but got bogged down in the narrative of the series, or their story wasn't explored enough. On several occasions, you get that feeling that their main functions were to react to what was going on with Shaun, rather than having built in goals or objectives.

   Another aspect I didn't like was the rushed way the series handled the departure of certain characters. There were completely unnecessary deaths, which seemed more like a quick way to get rid of an actor, rather than a well thought out narrative decision. If they needed to remove the actor from the production, or could no longer find what to do with the characters, they could have opted for more dignified farewells, such as a change of hospital or a new career opportunity. There were also times when the drama seemed overdone, with shocking twists just to keep the plot going, but that's a point that happens all the time with long-running series. You have to be patient with them.

   Some time ago, my girlfriend and I were looking for a longer series that we could watch for more than a few days. A little earlier, my proofreader started watching The Good Doctor and recommended it to us, not knowing that we were looking for something like that. We gave the first episode a chance and as I write these words, we are finishing season 3. It is a series produced by ABC Television and Sony. This is not their original idea, but an adaptation of a title from South Korea. The series ended at the end of May this year.

   The main character of TGD is Shaun Murphy, who wants to become a surgeon. He is autistic with Sawant syndrome, which makes him an exceptionally gifted individual. Unfortunately, like many autistic people, he suffers for various reasons. He thinks in a different way than neurotypical people, cannot communicate like normal people, is hypersensitive to certain stimuli and has exceptional difficulties in adapting to society. People affected by autism also like to do everything according to their own rules and in their own order. Additionally, such people are more direct, which can make them be perceived as insensitive. This is not helped by less flexibility and the need to immerse yourself in a given job or hobby if they learn to maintain attention on the activity. This is not always the case, because just like neurotypical people, autistic people also have activities for which they do not have to concentrate. Maybe it sounds illogical or I presented it incorrectly. Maybe it sounds illogical or I presented it incorrectly. The point is that autistic people can become "enthusiastic" about one hobby and will devote much more time to it than ordinary people. As for the "advantages" of being on the spectrum, contrary to general rumors, not every autistic person has them. However, the very fact that one thinks in a non-standard way can be an advantage, if such people manage to use it. However, if he has gone through the education process and can pursue his hobby (I say this in the context that autistic people are born in poorer families, and in some cases, sometimes you have to invest a certain amount of money), he may have it easier than his neurotypical colleagues. Why? I don't know if all autistic people have this, but I know from several friends who have either been diagnosed or show symptoms of being on the spectrum that they think constantly. They've been like this since childhood. They are also very accurate, to the point of cringe exaggeration, and have above-average memory. However, this is a double-edged sword - they remember more and better than a normal person, but this also applies to negative memories. To sum it all up, if the disorder is too deep, such an autistic person can be an exemplary doctor.

   The series takes place in San Jose, California. Shaun Murphy is a resident physician at St. Patrick's Hospital. Bonaventure. We meet him when he saves the life of a random man by rushing to visit the above-mentioned hospital. There we meet his guardian, Dr. Aaron Glassman. An older man who had been through a lot of trouble and who, for some reason, became the young man's guardian. Shaun, determined by the difficult situation at home and the traumatic event, decides to use his predispositions and wants to become a surgeon. However, this is not easy for the reasons I described in the paragraph above. Glassman, however, is so convinced of his ward's talent that he puts everything on one scale - if Murphy is not an important support for the hospital, does not have extremely high results (which will prove his abilities beyond any doubt) and makes too many mistakes, Aaron will leave function of hospital director. As it happens in our lives, there are several people willing to take his position, because despite numerous lies such as "Money doesn't buy happiness", people want to earn more. Consequently, they will try to interrupt Shaun. There will also be those who will show empathy and help the young resident overcome his limitations. Despite difficult beginnings, the protagonist manages to gain the trust of most of the staff and provides them with solid support. Nay! Quite often we see famous doctors (in the world of the show) asking Shaun for advice or his interpretation of test results. I didn't notice a single scene in which the hero was clearly worse than them, apart from experience or the ability to self-control. In terms of expertise, it does not lag behind them even a single step, and in some aspects it is even much better.

   

   The great advantage of the series is the variety of characters, thanks to which we can see Shaun's different behaviors. This also prevents the series from being boring. It is pleasant to observe the rivalry between female residents and the disputes between doctors resulting from differences in character and approach. Also towards the title character. I like that I can't deny that both sides are right. Even if a doctor is wrong about something, I cannot say that her or his reasoning is baseless. Many people do not notice it or deny it (I denied it myself for many years), but quite often both sides are right despite smaller or larger differences. Of course, this excludes some emotional or shallow reactions. Why "some"? Because emotions affect all people, it would be stupid to deny it. In terms of shallowness, sometimes it's the case that people go too deep into an issue (which is a common mistake Murphy made in early episodes) and miss the most obvious symptoms/problems. I've heard that in later seasons, there are some annoying characters, but so far I have no complaints about any of them. Initially, we (me and my girlfriend) were irritated by Dr. Morgan Reznick, but after a dozen or so episodes we changed our minds. Not because Fiona Gubelmann's character has changed, but because we have gotten to know her better. Just like in the series Bosch, the review of which I will probably post next week, Morgan was presented in a damn consistent way. The structure of the characters and their consistent development is another big advantage of the series. Maybe it will change later, but for now, each of the heroes and heroines changes in a natural way. When we learn about their past or character traits, they do not contradict their behavior. Even though they may seem illogical, psychology has already researched and explained them (the point is that these are normal consequences of the decisions they have made - if you do X, you may face consequences A, B, C, etc.).

   

   Apart from the typical flaws of this genre, I have nothing to complain about. I won't say that every episode was a success, because there were a few that made me and my girlfriend fall asleep or do other things, mostly just listening. However, the vast majority do not go below a certain level, let's say 7/10. Some episodes rise above this level more or less. I don't remember what episodes they were, as is the case with 99% of shows (except for something on the level of episode 1 of Boardwalk Empire, world championship!), but the scenes or ideas of the writers, I will definitely remember. I mentioned "typical flaws of this genre", I had one in particular in mind. Although the operations look realistic, they differ from reality. I'm not a doctor, but I've seen some statements and reviews/comments on several episodes that were written by real medical professionals. It looked like making Commentary material for an extremely easy target. Every now and then they stopped the series and explained why what we saw on the screen was not true. The actors cut in the wrong place, used the wrong equipment, the scriptwriter didn't do thorough research, etc. However, if you are not an expert, you won't even notice it. I don't consider it a disadvantage either, because it is not a documentary series. There are other reasons too. If the series/film were as realistic as possible, it would often be boring, and in the case of medicine there is another aspect - dirt. The old hospitals were not much different from slaughterhouses, and apparently not much has changed in this matter (at least in severe operations that result in a lot of blood loss). Moreover, sick people often look ugly, their body parts (depending on where and how they were operated on) are swollen like watermelons. And as I said in my review of the Lioness series, but in a slightly different context, not every actor can fight and not every martial arts adept is an actor. Translating this into TGD - not every screenwriter has medical knowledge and not every doctor knows how to write such things. Well, as I said, I can turn a blind eye in this case. Especially since there seemed to be no glaring departures from realism. I rate The Good Doctor a solid 8/10.

   

   Jakiś czas temu, szukaliśmy z moją dziewczyną jakiegoś dłuższego serialu, który moglibyśmy oglądać dłużej niż kilka dni. Nieco wcześniej, mój korektor, zaczął oglądać The Good Doctor i polecił go nam, nie wiedząc że szukamy czegoś takiego. Daliśmy szansę pierwszemu odcinkowi i w momencie, gdy piszę te słowa, kończymy 3 sezon. Jest to serial wyprodukowany przez telewizję ABC oraz Sony. Nie jest to ich autorski pomysł, a adaptacja tytułu z Korei Południowej. Serial zakończył się pod koniec maja w tym roku.

   Głównym bohaterem TGD jest Shaun Murphy, który chce zostać chirurgiem. Jest autystykiem z zespołem Sawanta, dzięki czemu jest wybitnie uzdolnioną jednostką. Niestety jak wielu autystyków, cierpi z różnych powodów. Myśli w odmienny sposób od ludzi neurotypowych, nie umie się komunikować jak normalni ludzie, jest nadwrażliwy na niektóre bodźce i ma wyjątkowe trudności w dostosowaniu się do społeczeństwa. Osoby dotknięte autyzmem, lubią też robić wszystko wg swoich zasad i według swojej własnej kolejności. Dodatkowo tacy ludzie są bardziej bezpośredni, przez co mogą zostać zrozumiani jako nieczuli. Nie pomaga temu mniejsza elastyczność oraz konieczność zanurzenia się w danej pracy lub hobby, o ile nauczą się utrzymać uwagę na danej czynności. Nie zawsze tak jest, bo podobnie jak ludzie neurotypowi, autystycy też mają czynności, przy których nie muszą się skupiać. Może to brzmi nielogicznie albo ja to źle przedstawiłem. Chodzi o to, że autystycy mogą się "nakręcić" na jedno hobby i będą mu poświęcać znacznie więcej czasu niż zwykli ludzie. Jeśli chodzi o "zalety" bycia na spektrum, to wbrew ogólnym plotkom, nie każdy autystyk je posiada. Aczkolwiek sam fakt, że myśli się w sposób niestandardowy może być zaletą, o ile tacy ludzie zdołają to wykorzystać. Natomiast jeśli przeszedł przez proces edukacji i może realizować swoje hobby (mówię to w tym kontekście, że autystycy rodzą się w biedniejszych rodzinach, a w niektórych przypadkach, czasem trzeba zainwestować pewną kwotę pieniędzy), to może mieć łatwiej od swoich neurotypowych kolegów i koleżanek. Czemu? Nie wiem czy wszyscy autystycy tak mają, ale wiem po kilku znajomych, którzy albo zostali zdiagnozowani albo przejawiają objawy znajdowania się na spektrum, że nieustannie myślą. Mają tak od dziecka. Są też bardzo dokładni, aż do cringe'owej przesady oraz posiadają ponadprzeciętną pamięć. Jest to jednak miecz obosieczny - pamiętają więcej i lepiej niż normalny człowiek, ale tyczy się to również tych negatywnych wspomnień. Sumując to wszystko, o ile zaburzenie jest zbyt głębokie, to taki autysta może być wzorcowym lekarzem.

   Akcja serialu ma miejsce w San Jose w Kalifornii. Shaun Murphy jest lekarzem rezydentem w Szpitalu św. Bonawentury. Poznajemy go, gdy ratuje życie przypadkowemu człowiekowi, śpiesząc się na wizytę do w/w szpitala. Poznajemy tam jego opiekuna, dr Aarona Glassmana. Starszego mężczyznę po przejściach, który z pewnych powodów, został opiekunem młodego mężczyzny. Shaun determinowany ciężką sytuacją w domu i traumatycznym wydarzeniem, postanawia wykorzystać swoje predyspozycje i chce zostać chirurgiem. Nie jest to jednak łatwe z powodów, które opisałem akapit wyżej. Glassman jest jednak tak przekonany o talencie swojego wychowanka, że stawia wszystko na jednej szali - jeżeli Murphy nie będzie istotnym wsparciem dla szpitala, nie będzie miał wybitnie wysokich wyników (które udowodnią jego zdolności ponad wszelką wątpliwość) i popełni zbyt wiele błędów, Aaron odejdzie z funkcji dyrektora szpitala. Jak to bywa w naszym życiu, jest kilku chętnych na jego stanowisko, bo wbrew licznym kłamstwom typu "Pieniądze szczęścia nie dają", ludzie chcą więcej zarabiać. Co za tym idzie, będą próbowali przeszkodzić Shaunowi. Znajdą się też tacy, którzy wykażą się empatią i pomogą młodemu rezydentowi z przezwyciężeniem jego ograniczeń. Mimo trudnych początków, protagoniście udaje się zdobyć zaufanie większości personelu i stanowi dla nich solidne wsparcie. Mało tego! Dość często widzimy, jak sławni lekarze (w świecie serialu), pytają Shauna o radę lub jego interpretację wyników badań. Nie zauważyłem ani jednej sceny, w której bohater byłby od nich wyraźnie gorszy, pomijając doświadczenie czy umiejętność samokontroli. W kwestiach eksperckich, nie odstaje od nich ani na jeden krok, w pewnych aspektach jest wręcz znacznie lepszy.

   

   Dużą zaletą serialu są różnorodne postacie, dzięki czemu możemy zobaczyć różne zachowania Shauna. Wpływa to też na to, że serial nie jest nudny. Przyjemnie się obserwuje rywalizację między kobietami rezydentami i spory między lekarzami wynikające z różnic charakteru i podejścia. Również względem tytułowego bohatera. Podoba mi się to, że nie mogę odmówić racji obu stronom. Nawet jeśli lekarz myli się w jakieś sprawie, to nie mogę powiedzieć, że jej lub jego rozumowanie jest bezpodstawne. Wiele osób tego nie dostrzega lub neguje (sam to negowałem przez wiele lat), ale dość często jest tak, że obie strony mają rację mimo mniejszych lub większych różnic. Oczywiście wyłączając z tego niektóre emocjonalne lub płytkie reakcje. Czemu "niektóre"? Bo emocje dotyczą wszystkich ludzi, więc głupotą byłoby to negować. Jeśli chodzi o płytkość, czasem jest tak, że ludzie nadmiernie zagłębiają się w dany problem (co jest częstym błędem Murphy'ego w początkowych odcinkach), nie dostrzegając tych najbardziej oczywistych objawów / problemów. Słyszałem że w późniejszych sezonach, pojawiają się irytujący bohaterowie, ale póki co nie narzekam na żadnego z nich. Początkowo irytowała nas (mnie i moją dziewczynę) Dr Morgan Reznick, ale po kilkunastu odcinkach zmieniliśmy zdanie. Nie dlatego, że postać odgrywana przez Fionę Gubelmann zmieniła się, a dlatego że lepiej ją poznaliśmy. Podobnie jak w serialu Bosch, którego recenzję wrzucę pewnie za tydzień, Morgan została przedstawiona w cholernie konsekwentny sposób. Konstrukcja bohaterów i konsekwentne ich rozwijanie, to kolejna duża zaleta serialu. Może potem się to zmienia, ale póki co, każdy z bohaterów i bohaterek zmienia się w naturalny sposób. Gdy poznajemy ich przeszłość lub cechy charakteru, nie stoją one w sprzeczności z ich zachowaniem. Nawet jeśli pozornie mogą się wydawać nielogiczne, to psychologia już to zbadała i wyjaśniła (chodzi o to, że są to normalne konsekwencje decyzji, które podjęli - jeżeli zrobisz X, mogą cię spotkać konsekwencje A, B, C itd.).

   

   Pomijając typowe wady dla tego gatunku, nie mam mu nic do zarzucenia. Nie powiem, że każdy odcinek był udany, bo było kilka takich, przy których ja i moja dziewczyna zasypialiśmy lub robiliśmy inne rzeczy, ograniczając się głównie do słuchania. Niemniej znacząca większość nie schodzi poniżej pewnego poziomu, powiedzmy tak na szczeblu 7/10. Niektóre odcinki wybijają się ponad ten poziom mniej lub bardziej. Nie pamiętam, jakie to były epizody, tak jak w przypadku 99% seriali (z wyjątkiem czegoś na poziomie 1 odcinka Boardwalk Empire, mistrzostwo świata!), ale sceny lub pomysły scenarzystów, na pewno zapamiętam. Wspomniałem o "typowych wadach tego gatunku", miałem na myśli konkretnie jedną. Mimo, że operacje wyglądają realistycznie, to odbiegają od rzeczywistości. Nie jestem lekarzem, ale widziałem kilka wypowiedzi oraz recenzji / komentarzy kilku odcinków, które napisali prawdziwi medycy. Wyglądało to jak robienie materiału typu Commentary na wyjątkowo łatwy cel. Co chwilę zatrzymywali serial i wyjaśniali, dlaczego to co widzimy na ekranie, nie jest prawdą. Aktorzy cięli w złym miejscu, stosowali złe przyrządy, scenarzysta nie zrobił dogłębnego researchu itd. Jeśli jednak nie jesteście ekspertami, to nawet na to nie zwrócicie uwagi. Ja również nie uważam tego za wadę, bo nie jest to serial dokumentalny. Są też inne powody. Gdyby serial / film był maksymalnie realistyczny, to byłby często nudny, a w przypadku medycyny dochodzi jeszcze jeden aspekt - brud. Dawne szpitale niewiele się różniły od rzeźni i podobno niewiele się zmieniło w tej materii (przynajmniej w ciężkich operacjach, w wyniku których traci się dużo krwi). Poza tym, ludzie chorzy często wyglądają brzydko, ich części ciała (w zależności od tego, gdzie i jak byli operowani), są spuchnięte jak arbuzy. No i jak mówiłem w recenzji serialu Lioness, ale w nieco innym kontekście, nie każdy aktor umie się bić i nie każdy adept sztuk walki jest aktorem. Przekładając to na TGD - nie każdy scenarzysta ma wiedzę medyczną i nie każdy lekarz wie, jak się pisze takie rzeczy. No ale tak jak już mówiłem, w tym przypadku mogę przymknąć oko. Tym bardziej, że chyba nie było rażących odstępstw od realizmu. Oceniam The Good Doctor na solidne 8/10.

   The good Doctor, which in Spanish is known as Un médico diferente, is an American series that was directed by David Shore (Creator), in addition to other names that participated in each of the seasons that this TV series had. The same premiered in 2017 with a total of 7 seasons (Apparently the seventh is still airing) and its main genre is medical drama, although it also has romance and a touch of comedy. I must say that I am not so much a fan of this kind of productions, I am more of a movie watcher, but these days I wanted to see something different, so as I had seen it recommended in several places, I decided to watch it and today I will give you a personal opinion as a viewer.

   Plot

   The plot of this series tells us about Shaun Murphy, who is a young man with autism who, despite his condition, became a surgeon at José St. Bonaventure Hospital, a prestigious hospital complex in a small town where the young man lives. Because of his condition, he went through many difficulties during his childhood, so personal improvement is another important factor in this production. I must say that so far I have seen six seasons and I think that is enough to give an opinion. What do I think of the plot? It is not perfect, but I really liked it, I spent many chapters full of emotion, since each season had 18 to 20 episodes of 45 minutes each. I watched a season every day, so I spent a lot of time on it and I went to bed very late, but I feel it was worth it.

   One of the things I like most about this series are the cases that come to the hospital, I can tell you that many times I feel that they are repetitive, plus everything always goes right, then wrong and in the end it is almost always a happy ending, although not all the time, it also gives us surprises. This series is quite sentimental, it always touches on many important topics of these times, such as inclusion, racism and one more, so well, many will agree and others will not. The script is very well done, but in many cases I feel that there are many dialogues, things that are not so relevant to understand the story. Every day we have new characters as always and these always bring us good stories, even in many cases very sentimental that can make us cry, at least that's how I saw it. The plot is very well done, although I repeat, many things seem very repetitive, but I don't think it ruins the whole experience, but it could have been much better.

   The good Doctor, que en español se conoce como Un médico diferente, es una serie estadounidense que fue dirigida por David Shore (Creador), además de otros nombres que participaron en cada una de las temporadas que tuvo esta serie de TV. La misma se estrenó en 2017 con un total de 7 temporadas (Al parecer la séptima aún está en emisión) y su género principal es de drama médico, aunque también tiene romance y un toque de comedia. Debo decir que no soy tan fan de este tipo de producciones, soy más de ver películas, pero en estos días quería ver algo distinto, así que como la había visto recomendada en varias partes, decidí verla y el día de hoy les voy a dar una opinión personal como espectador.

   La trama de esta serie nos habla sobre Shaun Murphy, quien es un joven con autismo que a pesar de su condición llegó a ser médico cirujano del hospital José St. Bonaventure, un prestigioso complejo hospitalario de una pequeña ciudad en la que vive el joven. Debido a su condición, este pasó por muchas dificultades durante su infancia, por lo cual la superación personal es otro factor importante de esta producción. Debo decir que hasta el momento me he visto seis temporadas y creo que es suficiente para dar una opinión. ¿Qué me parece la trama? La misma no es perfecta, pero realmente si me gustó, pase muchos capítulos llenos de emoción, ya que cada temporada tenía de 18 a 20 episodios de 45 minutos cada uno. Cada día me vi una temporada, así que le dediqué bastante tiempo y me acostaba muy tarde, pero siento que valió la pena.
   Una de las cosas que más me gusta de esta serie son los casos que llegan al hospital, si les puedo decir que muchas veces siento que son repetitivos, además que siempre sale todo bien, luego mal y al final casi siempre es un final feliz, aunque no todo el tiempo, también nos da sorpresas. Esta serie es bastante sentimental, siempre se toca muchos temas importantes de estos tiempos, como la inclusión, el racismo y otro más, así que bueno, muchos estarán de acuerdo y otros no. El guion está muy bien hecho, pero en muchos casos siento que hay muchos diálogos, cosas que no son tan relevante para entender la historia. Cada día tenemos nuevos personajes como siempre y estos siempre nos traen buenas historias, incluso en muchos casos muy sentimentales que nos pueden hacer llorar, al menos así lo vi. La trama está muy bien realizada, aunque vuelvo y repito, muchas cosas me parecen muy repetitivo, pero no creo que arruina la experiencia de un todo, pero sí pudo ser mucho mejor.

   We also have Nicholas Gonzalez as Dr. Neil Melendez, Antonia Thomas as Dr. Claire Browne, Chuku Modu as Dr. Jared Kalu, Beau Garrett as Jessica Preston, Hill Harpe as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Fiona Gubelmann as Dr. Morgan Reznick, Will Yun Lee as Dr. Alex Park, Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim and Paige Spara as Lea Dilallo. Each of these are major characters of which much is told in this series. In each of the seasons, major and minor characters appear. Each one with an outstanding job, one better than the others. I must also say that there are scenes with extras that are not so believable, it looks a little fake performances, but this I can come to understand and in the end does not affect my experience of a whole, just that it can be boring or uncomfortable for a moment.

   Some of the cast's mistakes can be attributed to the script and even to the direction, maybe that's what they were asked to do, although the result on screen was not as expected.    La serie tiene un buen cast, creo que no había conocido a la mayoría de los actores, algunas que había visto de telenovelas latinas en unas ediciones especiales, pero del resto no había visto antes un trabajo de ellos. También debo decir que hay escenas con extras que no son tan creídas, se ve un poco falsas las actuaciones, pero esto lo puedo llegar a entender y al final no afecta mi experiencia de un todo, tan solo que puede ser aburrido o incómodo por momento.
   Algunos de los errores del reparto se los puedo atribuir al guion e incluso a la dirección, puede que eso era lo que les estaban pidiendo que le hicieran, aunque el resultado en pantalla no era el esperado. Estos personajes y sus actores y actrices nos dan emociones de todo tipo, alegría, tristeza, humor, euforia, entre otras más, es decir que se puede decir que la serie nos tiene constantemente a la expectativa de lo que pueda ocurrir en todo momento con los misterios médicos y los giros inesperados que nos deja la historia y los personajes principales y secundarios.

   The photography of this series was in charge of Eric Steelberg and John S. Bartley, and I must say that it is one of the best things I can find in the series. The sets, the facilities of the hispital where most of the story took place, the external locations, the costumes, the equipment, it is really impressive all the work done in this aspect. The same goes for me with the special effects and tricks for several of the scenes. It really is an outstanding job. As for the soundtrack by Dan Romer, it may not be at the level of the above, but it was also a good job, especially in the moments of sadness and tension due to uncertainty of the medical cases, all in keeping with what we were seeing.

   The Good Doctor or A Different Doctor is undoubtedly a good series to enjoy, where not only talks about its protagonist, the young Shaun Murphy, but it delves a little deeper into its other main characters and even in the secondary ones, being one of the positive things I saw in the story. The plot teaches us many things, not only self-improvement, but also forgiveness, overcoming mistakes, never staying with the past, among many other things. The dialogues are sometimes exaggerated, but it is justified, because they want to tell the story of each chapter better, because every day they play something new, with different characters. The photography and effects are some of the best in the series. Freddie Highmore's performance as Shaun is spectacular, one of the best of the whole series, but I must say that in general everything seemed well done, at least the cast of the main characters. If you haven't seen this series yet, I recommend you to do so, I highly recommend it, you can have a good time.

La trama nos enseña muchas cosas, no solo la superación personal, sino que también el perdón, superar los errores, nunca quedarse con el pasado, entre muchas cosas más. Los diálogos a veces son exagerados, pero es justificado, ya que quieren contar mejor la historia de cada capítulo, porque cada día tocan algo nuevo, con distintos personajes. La fotografía y los efectos es de los mejor de la serie. La actuación de Freddie Highmore como Shaun es espectacular de los mejor de toda la serie, pero debo decir que en general todo me pareció bien hecho, al menos el reparto de los personajes principales.    La saison 5 est arrivée relativement récemment sur Netflix avec ses 18 épisodes.

   Nous avions bien aimé les 4 premières saisons, surtout le côté médical et diagnostics, un peu à la Dr House, ce qui est logique puisque c'est le même créateur qui est aux commandes, à savoir David Shore.

   Si vous ne connaissez pas cette série, elle parle de l'autisme au travers du personnage principal, le Dr Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), que l'on voit sur l'image ci-dessus. Il a un TSA, Trouble du Spectre de l'Autisme, il est très intelligent, il est un excellent chirurgien, mais il a des fameux soucis au niveau relationnel. Par exemple, il dira les choses clairement aux patients, "sans prendre des pincettes", parfois le patient appréciera justement sa franchise, mais dans la plupart des cas, les patients ou leurs proches en seront choqués.

   A côté de sa vie professionnelle, Shaun et Léa (Paige Spara) comptent toujours se marier, mais les préparatifs d'un mariage sont souvent un casse-tête quand on a peur de ne pas avoir un mariage parfait et tout ce remue-ménage peut provoquer pas mal de stress ..

   Il n'est pas donné à tout le monde de gérer un hôpital, tout en étant apprécié par le personnel. Un hôpital coûte cher, mais ça rapporte aussi beaucoup d'argent. Pour cela, il faut que les médecins et les autres membres du personnel s'y sentent bien, afin de pouvoir se concentrer sur leur travail, c'est-à-dire soigner les gens et leur sauver la vie, si cela se présente.

   Une 6e saison serait déjà prête et une 7e saison est en production. A la fin de cette 5e saison, on a cru un bref instant que la série était terminée, car on nous montrait de nombreux souvenirs du Dr Shaun Murphy, pendant le discours de son mentor le Dr Glassman, puis, un autre événement s'est produit pendant les dernières minutes de la saison .. là, on s'est dit qu'on ne pouvait pas nous laisser sur cette fin/notre faim 😊.

   J'ai ri plusieurs fois, mais j'ai aussi pleuré forcément. Dans un hôpital, il n'y a pas que des bonnes nouvelles de guérison.

   Cela m'a fait du bien de regarder une série où on apprend des choses (niveau médical), où on essaye de trouver le diagnostic avec eux, bref où on fait travailler nos méninges .. contrairement à la série "le Bureau des Affaires Magiques" ..

   Una serie que es un poco larga, sin embargo, cada temporada nos va presentando poco a poco esa evolución, crecimiento y desenvolvimiento de dicho cirujano en cada uno de los lugares que le tocará trabajar, como es su vida, los diferentes problemas y de esa manera armar una gran trama que poco a poco se van conectando hasta llegar el final de esa aventura, donde lograron unir una serie de aspectos desde que empiece hasta que termina como lo es el drama y todo lo relacionado con la medicina. Momentos que son muy bueno, cargados de mucha alegría, emoción y como el conocimiento de este gran joven logra salvar la vida a muchas personas y sobre todo como lo van tomando en cuenta, como también momento que son tristes y estoy seguro de que podían haber mejorado, donde nunca pueden faltar aquellos que se la tiran muchos mejor que todos y sobre todo las diferentes clases que se existen en un hospital, sin duda logran darle un gran giro a la misma. Siendo una serie que nos lleva a preguntar ¿Podrá el joven aguantar ese desastre en el hospital?, ¿Por qué existen médicos que son muy arrogantes?, ¿Podrá salvar muchas vidas?.

Episodio que son impactantes donde se aprecia un día de trabajo en un hospital puede ser algo desesperante por la cantidad de personas que pueden llegar y uno no sabe que pueden tener, donde se aprecia que el trabajo en equipo, la confianza entren médicos y compañeros permite llevar las cosas con tranquilidad, donde creo que no todo el mundo estaría preparado para ese gran trote y por eso es la gran cantidad de personajes que hacen vida en la misma. Además, nos podemos dejar por fuera cada las operaciones que hacen en la misma, verlo en la vida real me da miedo, puesto que no podría ver todos esos equipos, sangre y allí lo van mostrando de una manera sencilla y lo mejor es cuando ese joven podía ayudar y apoyar ideas en las operaciones.

   Una serie que nos vamos a encontrar de todo un poco, donde me gusto cada efecto y animación que le colocaron a la misma, como también los diversos lugares donde se van presentando toda la trama, siendo cada uno de los hospitales y se aprecia que están muy bien conservados, cuentan con equipo, la atención es muy rápido y no como lo de mi país que son un desastre. Además, los diversos temas políticos y económicos que es algo que nunca puede faltar al momento de pisar un hospital, puesto que no todo el mundo tiene esa gran cantidad de dinero para pagar, sin duda más allá de esos y es algo que no se aprecia mucho durante todo el desarrollo, ya que el centro de atención es el joven. Para todo el tiempo que duro esta gran serie logro muy buenas críticas y lograron llevar esta serie a otro nivel.

Uno de ellos es el joven Shaun Murphy, quien muchos los reconocerán por aparecer en la película de Charlie y la fábrica de chocolate, sin duda esta vez será un gran cirujano y a pesar de que contar con esa enfermedad, lograr causar gran impacto por su trabajo, por la manera de pensar y solventar cualquier problema que presentará los pacientes y durante todo esta serie de muestra como poco a poco fue liberando esa presión y conseguir muchas cosas. También me gusto el doctor Aarón Glassman y creo que sin él está sería lo mismo, puesto que logra formar un gran equipo y estar allí presente en cada momento al lado de dicho joven y su amistad fue creciendo donde ambos lograron entender sus problemas. También los jefes del hospital que no son nada agradables y siempre queriendo tener el poder y la palabra de todos. Logran así una serie de personajes de todo tipo y llevar a cabo y dejar el nombre en alto del hospital.

   Hoy les presentó una buena serie que me ha tenido enganchado desde el primer momento, dicha serie la había escuchado mucho y leído muchas reseñas que mencionaban de lo buena que es.

   Finalmente, llego el turno de verla y disfrutar de ella, por mucho que sea una serie, no quiere decir que tenga una continuidad en la historia como tal, solo son casos diferentes en cada uno de los capítulos de la primera temporada, la misma estoy por culminarla, supongo que en las demás temporadas (he visto que tiene un total de 6 temporadas) seguiría siendo más de lo mismo.

   Pero esta serie tiene algo que ara que te mantengas viéndola sin aburrirte, es como CSI la escena del crimen, pero en este caso hablamos de la historia de un gran Médico cirujano.

   Conoceremos al protagonista principal de la historia, el Doctor Shaun Murphy interpretado por Freddie Highmore.

   La historia se centra en un Doctor quien posee habilidades sorprendentes como médico cirujano, podría decirse que es el mejor de todos los médicos que veremos en esta serie, pero tiene una condición mental, la cual conoceremos como el autismo.

   Shaun se convierte en un médico residente en el hospital más reconocido del país gracias a la ayuda del Doctor Aaron Glassman, quien cuido de él cuando estaba solo y desamparado en el mundo.

   Shaun becomes a resident doctor in the most renowned hospital in the country thanks to the help of Doctor Aaron Glassman, who took care of him when he was alone and helpless in the world.

   Despite the great title that Shaun has, he must demonstrate all his skills to earn the respect he deserves, but it will not be easy, despite being an extremely intelligent Doctor, his autistic condition makes some of his patients have a slight distrust, but he always manages to make them prefer him as a Surgeon.

   UN TRISTE PASADO

   Una de las cosas que me pareció un poco triste de la historia de este gran Doctor (Shaun) es que en su niñez recibió muchos maltratos de su padre y madre, donde él y su hermano menor abandonaron su hogar para hacer sus vidas lejos de ellos, ya que no podían vivir un segundo más bajo el mismo techo de ellos.

   Shaun desde pequeño siempre fue autista, a pesar de ser el mayor, quien cuido de él en su momento fue su hermano menor, por el hecho de que Shaun no podía cuidarse a sí mismo por su condición, luego de un trágico accidente, Shaun se queda viviendo con el doctor Aaron Glassman, quien lo "adopto" hasta que cumplió la mayoría de edad, con el paso de los años Shaun demostró intereses en la medicina, y poco a poco fue estudiando hasta llegar a donde está ahora, convertirse en un buen médico cirujano.

   A pesar de la inteligencia de Shaun y de su vida independiente como hombre adulto, este siempre necesitara a su buen amigo, el Doctor Aaron para que lo aconseje en algunas ocasiones, aunque este no logre comprender algunas cosas por las que Shaun sufre día a día luego de no tener ya a su hermano de su lado, pero siempre lucha con todas sus fuerzas para que día a día se gane más el debido respeto que se merece.

   One of the things that I found a little sad about the history of this great Doctor (Shaun) is that in his childhood he received a lot of mistreatment from his father and mother, where he and his younger brother left home to make their lives away from them, since they could not live a second more under the same roof of them.

   Shaun was always autistic since he was a child, despite being the oldest, who took care of him at the time was his younger brother, due to the fact that Shaun could not take care of himself because of his condition, after a tragic accident, Shaun stayed living with Dr. Aaron Glassman, who "adopted" him until he came of age, over the years Shaun showed interest in medicine, and little by little he studied until he got to where he is now, becoming a good surgeon.
   In spite of Shaun's intelligence and his independent life as an adult man, he will always need his good friend, Doctor Aaron, to advise him on some occasions, although he is unable to understand some of the things that Shaun suffers day by day after not having his brother by his side, but he always fights with all his strength so that day by day he earns more and more the respect he deserves.

   ¿QUÉ TIENE DE INTRIGANTE ESTA SERIE?

   Si eres una persona al que le es interesante ver como muchos médicos cirujanos hacen algunas operaciones, e investigan y hablan del tema de una manera muy profesional, esta serie es para ti, ya que cada uno de los capítulos es un caso diferente, en cada una de ellas (al menos en la primera temporada) veremos una escena de operaciones, donde cada caso es muy distinto, pero no solo eso.

   Ver como todos los Doctores se enfrentan rudamente cuestionando sus propios conocimientos para tomar una gran decisión que pueda salvarle la vida a un paciente, sin duda lo hace muy interesante, por mucho que todos los doctores tengan cierto conocimiento, tiemblen puede cometer errores cuando todo debería de ser perfecto.

   Lo mejor de esta serie, como para despistar que todo es perfecto, es que en algunas ocasiones no abran casos que puedan resolver de la mejor manera, así que hay ocasiones que perderán algunos pacientes.

   El tema de esta serie me parece muy interesante, ya que no ayuda a conocer aún más nuestro cuerpo, es como si estuviera en frente de un médico, la serie fue tan bien elaborada que puedes pasar horas viéndola y posiblemente te termines la serie en una semana.

   WHAT IS SO INTRIGUING ABOUT THIS SERIES?

   If you are a person that is interesting to see how many surgeons do some operations, and investigate and talk about the subject in a very professional way, this series is for you, because each of the chapters is a different case, in each of them (at least in the first season) we will see a scene of operations, where each case is very different, but not only that.
   
   Seeing how all the Doctors face each other rudely questioning their own knowledge to make a great decision that can save the life of a patient, certainly makes it very interesting, as much as all doctors have some knowledge, tremble can make mistakes when everything should be perfect.
   
   The best thing about this series, as to mislead that everything is perfect, is that sometimes they do not open cases that they can solve in the best way, so there are times that they will lose some patients.

   The theme of this series seems very interesting to me, as it does not help to know our body even more, it is like being in front of a doctor, the series was so well elaborated that you can spend hours watching it and possibly you will finish the series in a week.

   LA COMPETITIVIDAD

   En esta serie veremos que la competitividad es muy grande, pero no me refiero a Shaun y a su grupo de residentes en este hospital, sino de los jefes de ellos, todos pelean para quitarle el cargo a otro, sobre todo la del Doctor Marcus Andrews y el Doctor Aaron Glassman.

   Aaron es el presidente de todo el hospital y es quien está a cargo de contratar al personal, gracias a él Shaun se encuentra aquí y poco a poco se gana el respeto de sus jefes (excluyendo a Glassman).

   Lo que más me encanta de esta serie es que te muestran todo de tal manera como si estuvieras presente en esa operación, a mi parecer es muy intrigante, saber como hacen cada tipo de operaciones, ver como se les complica en algunas situaciones y la manera en la que lo resuelven.

   COMPETITIVENESS

   In this series we will see that competitiveness is very big, but I am not referring to Shaun and his group of residents in this hospital, but of their bosses, they all fight to take away the position of another, especially that of Doctor Marcus Andrews and Doctor Aaron Glassman.

   Aaron is the president of the entire hospital and is the one in charge of hiring the staff, thanks to him Shaun is here and slowly gaining the respect of his bosses (excluding Glassman).
   What I love most about this series is that they show you everything in such a way as if you were present in that operation, in my opinion it is very intriguing, to know how they do each type of operations, to see how they are complicated in some situations and the way they solve it.

   Sinceramente, la serie me ha parecido muy buena, aunque aún no la termine de ver, toda la primera temporada me ha encantado, me gusta como explican todo de una manera muy detallada.

   No tenía ni idea de lo complicada que era la vida de un doctor hasta que vi esta serie, las operaciones, el ambiente donde se desarrolla la historia y la actuación de los actores me pareció excelente.

   Le doy 10 de 10, sin lugar a dudas hasta los momentos la serie marcha muy bien.

   Esta serie consta de 6 temporadas, cada capítulo de cada temporada tiene una duración de 50 minutos aproximadamente.

   Honestly, I found the series very good, although I have not finished watching it yet, I loved the whole first season, I like how they explain everything in a very detailed way.
   I had no idea how complicated the life of a doctor was until I saw this series, the operations, the environment where the story unfolds and the performance of the actors seemed excellent.

   I give it 10 out of 10, without a doubt so far the series is going very well.

   I guess I am a bit late into the party but a couple days ago I discovered "The Good Doctor" from a YouTube Shorts mini clip and decided to give it a go since it seemed like a fun show.

   Now, if you are anything like me and you haven't heard about the show, the quick gist is that it's a bit like Dr house.

   But instead of a grumpy old genious hooked on Vicodin, we have a young autistic savant taking his baby steps in the surgical field

   The series follows Shaun Murphy, a young autistic surgeon from the small city of Casper, Wyoming, where he had a troubled past. He relocates to San Jose, California, to work at the prestigious San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. source

   I finally found some free time today and managed to binge watch the first three episodes.

   Unfortunately, I only found while writing this post that the American version I am watching is not the original, but instead it is based on a South Korean series of the same name. I have loved every Korean show I have seen so far so if I knew that firsthand I would have gone for the original.

   Still, no complains as I have thoroughly enjoyed the show so far. If you loved Dr. House then chances are you will love this show as well. Something that makes sense as both shows share a bit of the same DNA

   Eventually, Sony Pictures Television and Kim worked out a deal and brought on David Shore, creator of the Fox medical drama House, to develop the series. source

   Big props to Alfred Thomas Highmore, leading actor. I am not much of an expert on autism but he seems to really nail the autistic role with all the body language, tics and mannerisms. Maybe he is autistic too? 😆

   I just wish I had heard of the show a bit earlier! I am six seasons late so it's gonna take me a while till I catch up till the last season. A two year old and a new born means I don't time get to waste much of my life on Netflix 😞

   So, tldr. Great show, at least from the little I have watched. If you like Dr House you will probably like this too!

   I did the mistake and read some reviews and some say the show goes full down hill after about the third season... I guess I'll find out when I reach that point.

   The kind of movies I've come to love more are the ones with the medical genres but I'm yet to see any other movie or series that surpass this one I've made my favourite and would be sharing with you. It's a movie that made me fall in love with medical movies and also made me very emotional.

   Good Doctor, a Korean series released in the year 2013 and directed by Ki Min-soo; Kim Jin-woo. It's genres are Medical drama, romance and comedy. Those are just a little tip of the drama series... There are more you'll get to find out from reading this that will get you to seeing the movie.

   You might want to know that there is an American version of "The Good Doctor" which was released later in 2017 and I've seen it too but I still take it that the Korean version is my favourite as it showed the originality more than the American version. If I'm to recommend one for your viewing, I'll say you see the Korean Version first at least.

   Good Doctor is a movie that shows a young man (Park Shi-on) who was born an autistic, he lost his elder brother when he was just 10 years old and a considerate man (Choi Woo-seok) took him in and found out that Park Shi-on has a special gift... He could be a great doctor from reading medical books. He read medical books from when he was 10 till he got older.

   Even though he acted like a 10 years old boy, he had a super medical brain more than the known professionals in the medical field. He did a first aid on his way to an interview in one scene and that happened to make him popular in the country because he did it so excellently (He did it through the knowledge he had just from reading books).

   Choi Woo-seok who found out about his abilities tried all his best to make Park Shi-on get a proper training to become a pediatric surgeon at the hospital he was directing... This decision took a lot of turns as a lot of people were against the idea of an autistic becoming a surgeon.

   Another interesting character is Cha Yoon-seo, an intern who was close to becoming a proper surgeon, she is the lead character who from finding the new autistic intern annoying and troublesome, began to love and care for him as he grew his abilities and helped save more lives than they could have possibly done. I can say she is the comedy character in the movie, I loved every scene she was in because of how natural her acting skill is.

   My favourite aspects of the drama series

   There were a lot of scenes I love more in this drama but one can not help but choose the surgery room scenes over the others as it displayed a lot about how amazing surgeons are when they get into the theatre room to prolong lives. The autistic intern surgeon at first was so scared of performing as a surgeon as he had never done it outside reading about how it was done.

   But one thing he was so good at was using his imaginations to get to every problem in the human body... No matter how that seem unreal in the real world we are, I couldn't help but love how he pronounces every details of the problem and giving solutions to the problem.

   

   Another scene I can't seem to forget was where the autistic surgeon gave hope and life to an almost dead situation, a child who was born to die within a few days was saved by the autistic intern. The scenes that followed wasn't in his favour but he grew to bear all that befell him until he was accepted by all and everything got from bad to best.

   From his skillful medical act, his innocence towards those who tried to kick him out of the hospital, his connection to patients who were difficult to treat and to his amazing acting skill as an autism... Park Shi-on made me love medical movies from the time I saw this movie. And I can bet that you'll love this series if you see it too.

   I've seen other medical movies but this one is my favourite until I see another that is even more better. I'll recommend this Korean series to anyone who loves medical movies, it's a 10/10 rating from me.

   El tipo de películas que he llegado a amar más son las que tienen géneros médicos, pero aún no he visto ninguna otra película o serie que supere esta que he hecho mi favorita y la compartiría con ustedes. Es una película que me enamoró de las películas médicas y también me emocionó mucho.

   Good Doctor, serie coreana estrenada en el año 2013 y dirigida por Ki Min-soo; Kim Jin Woo. Sus géneros son Drama médico, romance y comedia. Esos son solo un pequeño consejo de la serie dramática... Hay más que descubrirás al leer esto que te llevarán a ver la película.

   Es posible que desee saber que hay una versión estadounidense de "The Good Doctor" que se lanzó a finales de 2017 y también la he visto, pero sigo considerando que la versión coreana es mi favorita, ya que mostró la originalidad más que la versión americana. Si tengo que recomendar uno para que lo vea, le diré que vea la versión coreana al menos primero.

   Good Doctor es una película que muestra a un joven (Park Shi-on) que nació autista, perdió a su hermano mayor cuando solo tenía 10 años y un hombre considerado (Choi Woo-seok) lo acogió y descubrió que Park Shi-on tiene un don especial... Hizo primeros auxilios en su camino a una entrevista en una escena y eso lo hizo popular en el país porque lo hizo de manera excelente (Lo hizo a través del conocimiento que tenía solo de leer libros).

   Choi Woo-seok, quien se enteró de sus habilidades, hizo todo lo posible para que Park Shi-on obtuviera la capacitación adecuada para convertirse en cirujano pediátrico en el hospital que dirigía... Esta decisión tomó un muchas vueltas ya que mucha gente estaba en contra de la idea de que un autista se convirtiera en cirujano.

   Otro personaje interesante es Cha Yoon-seo, una pasante que estuvo cerca de convertirse en una verdadera cirujana. Ella es el personaje principal que, al encontrar molesto y problemático al nuevo interno autista, comenzó a amarlo y cuidarlo a medida que crecía. sus habilidades y ayudó a salvar más vidas de las que podrían haber hecho. Puedo decir que es el personaje cómico de la película, me encantó cada escena en la que aparecía por lo natural que es su habilidad interpretativa.

   Hubo muchas escenas que amo más en este drama, pero uno no puede evitar elegir las escenas de la sala de cirugía sobre las demás, ya que muestra mucho sobre lo increíbles que son los cirujanos cuando ingresan a la sala de teatro para prolongar vidas. Al principio, el cirujano interno autista tenía tanto miedo de actuar como cirujano, ya que nunca lo había hecho fuera de leer sobre cómo se hacía.

   Pero una cosa en la que era tan bueno era usar su imaginación para llegar a todos los problemas del cuerpo humano... No importa lo irreal que parezca en el mundo real que somos, no pude evitar amar cómo pronuncia cada detalle de el problema y dando soluciones al problema.

   

   Otra escena que parece que no puedo olvidar fue donde el cirujano autista le dio esperanza y vida a una situación casi muerta, un niño que nació para morir en pocos días fue salvado por el interno autista. Las escenas que siguieron no fueron a su favor, pero creció para soportar todo lo que le sucedió hasta que fue aceptado por todos y todo fue de mal en mejor.

   Desde su hábil acto médico, su inocencia hacia aquellos que intentaron echarlo del hospital, su conexión con los pacientes que eran difíciles de tratar y su increíble habilidad para actuar como un autista... Park Shi-on me hizo amar las películas médicas. desde que vi esta pelicula. Y puedo apostar que te encantará esta serie si la ves también.

   He visto otras películas médicas pero esta es mi favorita hasta que veo otra que es aún mejor. Recomendaré esta serie coreana a cualquiera que ame las películas médicas, tengo una calificación de 10/10.

Con un reparto de actores no tan conocidos en su momento como: Freddie Highmore, Nicholas Gonzalez, Antonia Thomas, Hill Harper, Richard Schiff, entre otros. Llego a las pantallas para traernos una serie diferente a lo que nos tenían acostumbrados ver en otras series del género médico y hospitalario. Creada por David Shore el mismo creador de una de las mejores series en mi opinión de este género “House”, nos trajo está nueva propuesta, basada en una serie coreana del mismo nombre que estuvo al aire hasta 2013.

   A lo largo de estas cinco temporadas veremos los cambios y el crecimiento de Shoun para salir adelante y los problemas a los que se enfrentará para ser un gran doctor. Su mentor Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff), presidente del hospital, quién lo ayudo a entrar al hospital y lo que conoce desde pequeño, será el apoyo emocional y paternal a lo largo de su aprendizaje para convertirse en un gran médico. Su amiga desde el comienzo Dra. Claire Browne (Antonia Thomas), será quien lo apoye para entender el comportamiento de las personas y sus relaciones con ella. Dra. Morgan (Fiona), será el personaje que le hará ver que no puede ser tan honesto con todos porque lo lastima y que no puede ser tan ingenuo, ambas Claire y Morgan son los dos puntos de vista de una misma moneda.

   A lo largo de estas cinco temporadas hemos visto los cambios en los personajes y el equipo de médicos que acompañan a Shoun, como sus sentimientos y como descubre el amor, sus relaciones con estas chicas a pesar de su condición de autista y su superación como ser humano para vivir el amor a pesar de sus limitaciones. Lo que me gusta de la serie es que a pesar de que el personaje principal es autista, lo muestran con sus limitaciones y como la supera o no, lo que lo hace creíble para el espectador, sus frustraciones, sus arranques y miedos, lo hacen ser real.

   This season that was paused left us with a Shoun in a dilemma when everything in his personal life falls apart, how will he face it, will it be the end of everything? We will not know until the end of April when ABC resumes the season, but I will be waiting to see this series that for 5 years has me watching this human character who grows despite his problems. I work in a clinic and many of the situations I see in the series remind me of what we experience in my work with patients, so maybe that's why I like this genre. My rating is 8 out of 10. Despite being one of the best, sometimes it is not consistent between its episodes, but even if it is not perfect, it entertains me and many of the stories are as real as life itself.

   Esta temporada que se pauso nos dejo con un Shoun en una disyuntiva cuando todo en su vida personal se desmorona, ¿Cómo lo enfrentará, será el final de todo? No lo sabremos hasta finales de abril cuando ABC reanude la temporada, pero estaré pendiente de ver esta serie que desde hace 5 años me tiene viendo a este personaje humano que se crece a pesar de sus problemas. Trabajo en una clínica y muchas de las situaciones que veo en la serie, me recuerdan lo que vivimos en mi trabajo con los pacientes, así que quizás por ello este genero me gusta. Mi calificación en de 8 de 10. A pesar de ser de las mejores a veces no es coherente entre sus episodios, pero aunque no sea perfecta, me entretiene y muchas de las historias son tan reales como en la vida misma.

    Bonjour tout le monde,

    Cette 4e saison se compose de 20 épisodes.

    Freddie Highmore et Paige Spara alias Dr Shaun Murphy et Léa Dilallo

    Nous avons terminé cette saison hier soir et il y a, à nouveau, un peu de changement dans la vie de Shaun. Il a rencontré les parents de Léa et s'en est pas mal sorti avec eux, malgré que Léa craignait le pire. Shaun et Léa auront des épreuves à surmonter, mais ils le feront ensemble et cela renforcera leur attachement l'un envers l'autre. Ils tenteront même un weekend en camping pour se changer les idées, c'est dire !

    Le Dr Lim devra faire son deuil de son ancien collègue le Dr Melendez, mais aussi de toutes les personnes proches, ou moins proches, perdues à cause de la pandémie de coronavirus. Elle souffre, en effet, d'un syndrome post-traumatique, sans vouloir se l'avouer. C'est le Dr Claire Brown qui fera tout ce qu'elle peut pour ouvrir les yeux de sa supérieure, mais aussi son amie.

    Les 2 derniers épisodes se déroulent au Guatemala, dans un hôpital de fortune. Tous les médecins et chirurgiens de l'équipe s'y déplacent pour venir en aide à 12 personnes qu'ils auront choisi parmi environs 20 personnes. Ils doivent choisir des cas simples, qu'ils pourront soigner avec les moyens disponibles sur place et sans tenir compte de la situation personnelle de chaque patient. Ils n'ont pas leur salle d'opération hyper-aseptisée avec toutes les technologies de pointe, ils doivent opérer à l'ancienne. Il y a également régulièrement des pannes de courant.

    Ils voudraient pouvoir soigner toutes les personnes malades, mais ils ne peuvent pas. Ils soignent bénévolement. S'ils étaient à San José, ils auraient le matériel pour le faire, mais ces patients n'ont pas les moyens financiers nécessaires de toutes façons. Cela doit être une expérience incroyable, difficile émotionnellement, mais enrichissante à plusieurs niveaux. Ils en reviendront changés. Léa avait accompagné Shaun et ce séjour leur a fait beaucoup de bien.

    Le Dr Claire Brown a revu son père pendant cette saison. Un lien s'est recréé, mais cela ne l'empêchera pas d'accepter une proposition de travail à la fin de la saison, qui sera à quelques heures en avion de l'hôpital San José, où elle travaillait avec le reste de l'équipe.

    Une 5e saison est annoncée, qui sera disponible vers le mois de juillet 2022, si tout va bien. J'ai hâte de voir la suite, car j'aime beaucoup cette série.

    Comme promis, nous avons regardé la saison 3, composée de 20 épisodes.

    Le Dr Shaun Murphy fait de nombreux efforts pour paraître moins différent et aller vers les autres. Il conserve néanmoins ses nombreux atouts de réflexion et sa sincérité. Il sera confronté aux exigences de la vie de couple et aux déceptions amoureuses. Sa vie privée perturbera donc sa vie professionnelle, puisqu'il ne pourra pas s'empêcher de penser à sa petite-amie pendant son travail, surtout quand on lui pose des questions à ce sujet.

    Certains épisodes reprennent en partie des scénarii déjà vu dans Dr House, mais avec quelques variantes. En parlant de Dr House, Robert Sean Leonard (Dr Wilson dans Dr House) est en "guest star" dans 1 épisode, en tant que patient.

    Nicholas Gonzalez alias Dr Neil Melendez et Freddy Highmore alias Dr Shaun Murphy

    Le Dr Neil Melendez est un des chefs de chirurgie et il ne jouera plus dans la prochaine saison, raison pour laquelle j'ai choisi cette photo.

    Pendant cette saison, Shaun va déclarer son amour à Léa, suite aux conseils reçus de ses collègues, mais aussi de Carly. Il faut attendre le dernier épisode de la saison pour connaître la réponse de Léa.

    Les réactions de Shaun provoquent toujours des situations assez cocasses, même s'il tente d'être plus diplomate, il reste lui-même, il ne parvient pas à mentir, il va "to the point" et ça plaît ou ça ne plaît pas .. d'ailleurs, je crois qu'il plairait beaucoup à Gibbs (NCIS) pour son côté direct.

    Pour changer un peu, on est passé sur une autre série, dont la saison 2 a débarqué tout récemment, avant de regarder la saison 4 de Good Doctor, disponible sur Netflix depuis quelques jours. Je vous parlerai donc tout prochainement de cette autre série pour vous donner notre avis.

    En regardant Good Doctor, j'ai plutôt tendance à me mettre à la place de Shaun, en comprenant ses réactions et réticences, alors que mon mari se met plutôt en spectateur ou comme collègue en ayant du mal à supporter le personnage de Shaun et son comportement. Bizarre comme chacun se met à une place différente en regardant la même série ou le même film. On ne prend donc pas d'office la place du rôle principal ni d'un seul rôle.

    C'est le jour de Noël aujourd'hui, et j'en profite donc pour vous souhaiter à tous de passer de joyeuses fêtes. N'oubliez pas d'inviter modération et prudence !

    Bonjour à tous,

    

    En 2017, nous avions regardé la première saison de cette série créée par David Shore. Il est aussi le créateur de la série Dr House, que nous adorons.

    A partir de cette 2e saison, composée de 18 épisodes, nous retrouvons d'ailleurs l'actrice Lisa Edelstein qui interprétait le Dr Lisa Cuddy dans Dr House et qui, ici, joue le rôle du Dr Marina Blaize.

    Dans The Good Doctor, le personnage principal, le Dr Shaun Murphy, joué par Freddie Highmore, est un interne en chirurgie pas comme les autres, puisqu'il est autiste (Asperger). Il a donc des difficultés de communication, de sociabilisation, de tolérance aux bruits, etc. Mais il est génial pour trouver des solutions et pour dire la vérité telle quelle, sans mettre de gants.

    Ses supérieurs et ses collègues hésiteront souvent à le laisser s'exprimer face aux patients, certains voudront même le changer de service pour utiliser son potentiel intellectuel sans qu'il n'ait de contact direct avec le patient. D'un autre côté, on a besoin de lui en chirurgie, pour ses visions schématisées de l'anatomie.

    Il éprouve aussi beaucoup de difficultés à montrer ses émotions, mais il fera des efforts. Il n'aime pas qu'on le touche, mais si on lui demande de pouvoir le tenir dans ses bras, parfois, il dit oui, parfois il dit non. C'est perturbant, mais je peux le comprendre.

    Il devra faire face à la maladie qui touche son mentor, sans trop savoir s'il doit être auprès de lui ou s'il doit continuer son boulot à l'hôpital. Grâce aux conseils de ses collègues et de son amie Léa, il parviendra à faire les 2.

    Il apprendra aussi à vivre en colocation avec son amie Léa. Ce n'est pas facile tous les jours ni pour lui ni pour elle, car Shaun a ses habitudes, ses routines, chaque chose a sa place et doit être rangé .. et Léa a sa vie, elle aime s'amuser, sortir, voir des amis, etc.

    Nous aimons beaucoup cette série, car dans le domaine médical, on en apprend toujours et nous nous amusons beaucoup, grâce au comique de situation notamment.

    La saison 3, composée de 20 épisodes, est d'ores et déjà disponible sur Netflix, nous allons donc enchaîner dès ce soir et je vous ferai un article d'ici une petite semaine.

    Une saison 4, de 20 épisodes également, suivra. Ses 2 premiers épisodes sont tournés en "Covid", la suite est "normale".

    Une 5e saison est en plein tournage, pour notre plus grand plaisir.

    Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post súper genial en el cual les hablaré sobre una serie que me gusta mucho, la cual es The Good Doctor. Recuerdo que la comencé a ver con mi mamá en 2019 por el canal Sony y la verdad nos enganchamos mucho, tanto que al terminar las dos primeras temporadas que dieron en la maratón, buscamos los episodios de la tercera por internet a ver que sucedía después. Actualmente terminó la 4ta temporada y se está trabajando en la quinta (en Estados Unidos ya se estrenó), la cual nos trae una historia sumamente buena y les hablaré un poco de lo qué trata, comencemos!

    Hello again! Today I come to you with a super cool post in which I will tell you about a series that I really like, which is The Good Doctor. I remember I started watching it with my mom in 2019 on Sony channel and the truth is we got really hooked, so much that when we finished the first two seasons that they gave in the marathon, we looked for the episodes of the third one online to see what happened next.     Las series de médicos no son temas innovadores, hay bastantes series que se enfocan en temas médicos con toques de drama, pero cada una tiene su esencia la cual la hace diferente a las demás como es el caso de Dr. House o incluso Grey's Anatomy, sin embargo, la serie que nos trae el día de hoy me parece que trata temas bastante buenos y le da su propia marca, además de darnos episodios diferentes entre sí pero que conecta todo de manera secuencial, lográndolo de una manera sumamente buena e interesante, atrapándonos con su bonita y dramática historia. Esta serie es desarrollada por David Shore (creador de Dr. House) y Daniel Dae Kim, basado en una serie surcoreana. Es protagonizada por el gran Freddie Highmore (conocido por sus papeles protagónicos en Charlie y la fábrica de chocolate y Norman Bates en Bates Motel).

    La trama gira entorno al doctor Shaun Murphy, un joven que padece de un trastorno de espectro autista y síndrome del sabio, este último es un síndrome que padecen personas con alguna discapacidad mental, las cuales poseen capacidades cognitivas sumamente elevadas para ciertas habilidades, en el caso de Shaun es la medicina. Aunque nuestro joven protagonista posea habilidades excepcionales en la medicina y cirugía, tiene muchos problemas para socializar con otras personas, los cuales incluye a sus colegas y pacientes, por lo que al principio el grupo de médicos residentes y jefes de cirugía se niegan a trabajar con él, sin embargo al ver sus grandes capacidades para detectar los problemas de las enfermedades de los pacientes, aceptan trabajar con él e incluso ayudarlo para adaptarse al ambiente social que implica ser médico, eso sí, respetando algunos de sus límites ya que a pesar de tener que afrontar eso, entienden que nuestro joven médico padece una enfermedad la cual no tiene cura. Esto lleva a Shaun y a sus colegas a vivir una serie de historias a la par que tienen que salvar muchas vidas, lo cual nos enseña que los médicos aprenden muchas cosas de cada paciente que atienden y se van desarrollando como personas a medida que avanza la serie.

El primero de estos es el Dr Aaron Glassman, presidente del hospital el cual ingresa a Murphy como residente luego de años cuidándolo ya que sabe lo apto que esta. Luego está el Dr. Andrews, el cual cumple función de director del área de cirugías, que junto al líder de cirugía para residentes Neil Melendez se niega rotundamente a incluir a Shaun en su equipo debido a su autismo. También hacen aparición la otra líder que es la Dra. Lim, y los residentes Claire Brown, Alex Park, Morgan Reznick, entre otros, los cuales tienen sus propios problemas e historias personales, además de combatir ellos mismos los prejuicios de trabajar con un médico autista. Otro personaje sumamente importante es Lea, la vecina, amiga e interés romántico de Shaun, que lo ayuda a autodecubrirse a sí mismo dentro de sus emociones, ya que su enfermedad lo limita a expresarlas abiertamente, o incluso a negarlas. Me parece que los personajes están muy bien construidos, algunos van y otros llegan, pero con una dinámica bastante buena a mi parecer, otorgándonos un argumento bastante orgánico.

    Me parece una historia que trata temas muy interesantes, como el bullying y maltrato infantil, que se ve reflejado en el pasado de Shaun el cual sufría acoso de parte de otros niños debido a sus pocas capacidades sociales, y el maltrato que sufrió a manos de su padre obligándolo a huir de casa junto a su hermano, el cual fallece luego de un trágico accidente, dejándolo solo y sin nadie que lo apoyara. Trata el tema del abandono paterno reflejado en Claire, la cual tuvo un papá ausente y él mismo quiere acercarse a ella luego de muchos años. Como lidiar con un divorcio donde un hijo menor de edad está de por medio, intentando ser parte de su vida como figura paterna pero el hijo no acepta que se hayan separado, representado en Alex Park, y muchos otros temas como el adulterio, problemas maritales, enfermedades mentales, violencia de género, abuso de sustancias entre otros. También me gustaría resaltar como tratan el tema del autismo, como eso dificulta no solo el entorno social, sino la vida diaria, el TOC (trastorno obsesivo compulsivo) que desarrollan los que padecen este espectro teniendo una rutina estricta que si se ve afectada de manera más mínima, ocasiona un problema en el desenvolvimiento del reto del día, además de que Highmore en serio efectúa su papel de manera majestuosa. Realmente esta serie médica engancha a cualquiera, además de que los actores que dan vida a esta serie son increíbles, la banda sonora es muy buena, la fotografía que posee es excelente y como tratan ciertas situaciones, es genial. Recomiendo mucho ver esta serie de médicos que no cae tanto en el cliché.

    It seems to me a story that deals with very interesting topics, such as bullying and child abuse, which is reflected in Shaun's past, who was bullied by other children because of his poor social skills, and the abuse he suffered at the hands of his father forcing him to run away from home with his brother, who died after a tragic accident, leaving him alone and with no one to support him. It deals with the theme of paternal abandonment reflected in Claire, who had an absent father and he himself wants to get closer to her after many years. How to deal with a divorce where a minor child is involved, trying to be part of his life as a father figure but the son does not accept that they have separated, represented in Alex Park, and many other issues such as adultery, marital problems, mental illness, gender violence, substance abuse among others. I would also like to highlight how they deal with the issue of autism, how it hinders not only the social environment, but daily life, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) that develop those who suffer from this spectrum having a strict routine that if it is affected in the slightest way, causes a problem in the development of the challenge of the day, in addition to Highmore seriously performs his role in a majestic way. Really this medical series hooks anyone, plus the actors who give life to this series are amazing, the soundtrack is very good, the photography is excellent and how they treat certain situations, it's great. I highly recommend watching this medical series that does not fall into the cliché.

The Good Doctor is one of my favorite series currently, and as a curious fact I remember that I refused to watch series of doctors other than Dr. House, however the story of Shaun Murphy caught me and I think it's excellent, I hope the plot continues to be excellent, I look forward to the 5th season here in Latin America.     Hey bros, espero que estén bien, es un gusto encontrarnos de nuevo en otro post, el día de hoy nos reúne una recomendación de una serie de tv sobre drama médico, se estrenó su cuarta temporada recientemente por lo que una reseña de sus anteriores temporadas es más que perfecto, sin más que agregar pónganse los estetoscopios e iniciemos con esto.

    Muy bien, The good doctor esta basada en la serie surcoreana del mismo nombre y se estreno en 2017, la serie tiene como personaje principal a Shaun Murphy un residente quirúrgico del hospital “St. Bonaventure" de San José y muestra todas las experiencias que este tendrá durante su residencia, aunado a eso también tienen protagonismo los otros residentes quirúrgicos y los cirujanos ya experimentados que los guían y enseñan para hacerlos mejores médicos.

    Una vez que cumplimos con los datos aburridos pero necesarios sobre la serie pasamos a lo bueno. ¿Qué hace tan interesante a The good doctor? Si no viven debajo de una piedra sabrán que actualmente hay gran cantidad de series sobre medicina en emisión pero lo que destaca a esta serie es el hecho de que Shaun padece de autismo y síndrome de savant. El autismo es un trastorno neurológico el cual impide a la persona socializar de manera normal, dificultándoles el comunicarse, entre otras cosas. Por otro lado el síndrome de savant también es un trastorno neurológico que dota al protagonista de una memoria casi perfecta. Estos dos trastornos hacen de Shaun un cirujano con fortalezas muy formidables y debilidades igualmente formidables.

    Once we meet the boring but necessary data about the series we move on to the good. What makes The Good Doctor so interesting? If you do not live under a stone, you will know that there are currently a large number of series about medicine in the air, but what makes this series stand out is the fact that Shaun suffers from autism and savant syndrome.     Es necesario destacar estos trastornos debido a que la serie los usa hábilmente para demostrar como situaciones cotidianas le son difíciles de superar y como las situaciones de alto estrés y complejas pueden llegar a superarlo causándole reacciones inesperadas. El como Shaun se relaciona con todo el personal del hospital es también muy interesante debido a que se ve como tiene influencia en sus compañeros y a su vez estos poseen influencias en él, no todos los personajes le tienen estima por lo que este se ve constantemente subestimado e incluso llega a ser marginado de toda cirugía. Para apreciar mejor su evolución y la de otros personajes de la serie daremos un rápido vistazo y reseña a las primeras 3 temporadas (Por que la cuarta no la he visto jajaja).

    Como es normal hay que iniciar por la primera temporada, en ella se nos presenta a los personajes y se evidencian las primeras impresiones e interacciones que poseen estos con nuestro protagonista, se nos habla del pasado de Shaun denotando que este ha sufrido bastante debido a la pérdida de un familiar y la incomprensión de sus padres por su condición, también se ve como muchos subestiman sus habilidades siendo que este tiene que hacer valer su lugar y demostrar que merece estar donde está. Shaun es bastante inmaduro en esta primera temporada llegando en algunos puntos a portarse de manera infantil, también muchos personajes lo sobre protegen evitándole el tomar decisiones, enfrentarse a situaciones difíciles e incluso no dejándole tomar responsabilidad por sus actos.

    Pasamos a la segunda temporada (En lo personal es mi temporada favorita hasta los momentos) en ella podemos apreciar una evolución de todos los personajes y la relación que existe entre estos, muchos de estos ya no subestiman a Shaun y son conscientes de las formidables habilidades que este posee, a su vez se evidencia como Shaun posee mayor madures y mejor manejo de situaciones complicadas, pese a que está lejos de haber superado todas sus limitaciones si se ve una diferencia si se le compara con la primera temporada. Una de las cosas más destacables de esta es el hecho de que se enfrenta a muchas situaciones difíciles como el hecho de que uno de sus amigos se enfrenta al cáncer, haciendo que Shaun entienda que la mejor ayuda que le pueda dar es hacerle saber que esta para él. También se presenta el hecho de ser despedido y el deber de asumir su nueva realidad, siendo esta temporada una en la que tanto Shaun como los demás personajes evolucionan, aprenden de sus errores, se enfrentan a cambios y situaciones difíciles.

    We move on to the second season (Personally it is my favorite season so far) in it we can appreciate an evolution of all the characters and the relationship that exists between them, many of these no longer underestimate Shaun and are aware of his formidable abilities that he possesses, in turn it is evidenced that Shaun has greater maturity and better handling of complicated situations, despite the fact that he is far from having overcome all his limitations if a difference is seen when compared to the first season. One of the most remarkable things about this is the fact that he faces many difficult situations such as the fact that one of his friends is facing cancer, making Shaun understand that the best help he can give him is to let him know that he is for him. The fact of being fired and the duty to assume his new reality is also presented, this season being one in which both Shaun and the other characters evolve, learn from his mistakes, face changes and difficult situations.

    Por ultimo tenemos a la tercera temporada, en ella se nos presenta a Shaun en una relación romántica y los retos que posee tanto él como su pareja para poder lograr que todo funcione. Esta temporada se enfoca mucho en el resto de personajes siendo esto un total acierto para que estos posean mayor profundidad, si bien ya se les había dado algo de protagonismo en las anteriores temporadas es en esta que se los conoce mejor. Se nos presenta con mucho detalle la relación que poseen estos con sus familias, problemas personales y algunos de sus deseos y metas. Todos los residentes son puestos a prueba con nuevos retos y situaciones inesperadas. Lo más destacable de esta temporada es el hecho de que ya no protegen tanto a Shaun debido a que entienden que el necesita desenvolverse solo para poder mejorar, la muerte de uno de los personajes deja la puerta abierta para ver como su ausencia repercutirá en la siguiente temporada.

    Finally we have the third season, in it we are presented with Shaun in a romantic relationship and the challenges that both he and his partner have in order to make everything work. This season focuses a lot on the rest of the characters, this being a total success so that they have greater depth, although they had already been given some prominence in previous seasons, it is in this season that they are better known. The relationship they have with their families, personal problems and some of their wishes and goals are presented in great detail to us. All residents are tested with new challenges and unexpected situations. The most remarkable thing about this season is the fact that they no longer protect Shaun so much because they understand that he needs to function just to improve, the death of one of the characters leaves the door open to see how his absence will affect the following season..

    This has been featured or I would say almost "shoved down my throat" the past few days by the Netflix algorithm so i figured i would just humor them and go ahead and have a look. What I ended up with is basically Doogie Howser M.D. but with a guy whose autism affliction actually makes him a very great surgeon.

    Shaun Murphy has severe autism and this has gotten him in trouble most of his life. He has severe social anxiety and doesn't really know how to handle most normal interactions with people. He does, on the other hand, have the ability to put together the pieces of certain things that most people cannot see and are not aware of including the other doctors and surgeons at his hospital.

    I like the way that they present how Shaun figures things out and the first thing that came to mind for me was the way that he pieces things together in a similar fashion to the way that they did in Sherlock Holmes (both the British series as well as the films.)

    He will recall things that he saw years ago in a textbook and be able to help out in situations that amazes senior surgeons with much higher levels of experience. At first, his boyishness makes the other doctors not want him around but after time, they tend to look to him for advice because more often than not, he is correct about things.

    This is why the series, I think, is eventually doomed to fail. There isn't any real main story that we are moving towards other than for Dr. Shaun to gain acceptance from his colleagues and in order for this to remain that way, he needs to occasionally be incorrect and you can expect this to happen once ever 2 or 3 episodes. The rest of the time he diagnoses things that are not even in his area of expertise because of his affliction.

    Watching this on Netflix can be a bit annoying because there are certain sections that were clearly designed to be commercial breaks but of course there are no commercial breaks on Netflix. So the screen just goes black every now and then.

    Freddie Highmore plays the role of Dr. Shaun and is without question the main character in the story. He has received praise for his role but I'm gonna go out there and say that I disagree with that. He talks as if he is a robot a great deal of the time and while I don't know everyone with autism, I do know a few.... none of them are robot-sounding.

    The individual episodes can be watched in any order, for the most part, prior knowledge of what happened before getting to this particular episode isn't going to affect your ability to understand what is going on in this one. So that is good I suppose. The bad part about this show is that it has been done before and is just an amalgamation of a bunch of different things. Also, there are certain sequences that are gonna gross some people out such as a scene last night where a tumor was being popped out of a brain in a manner that kinda still haunts me today.

    Should I watch it ?

    At this point I am going to go ahead and say yes because I have enjoyed all the episodes that I have seen thus far and think that most other people will as well. However, I seriously doubt that it has what it takes to go on for a long period of time because there are only so many hospital situations that someone can be put into and we have seen this happen with countless medical dramas in the past.

    A young boy who is infected with autism and Savant syndrome gets the chance to be a part of surgical department of a hospital and faces problems of human day to day life.

    Story and Screenplay-

    The story is evolved around Shaun Murphy, who is a autistic boy and that is why he does not understand the peculiar human behavior. Dr. Aaron Glassman, who is the chairperson of the hospital has a soft corner for him and that is why e gets the chance to be the part of the surgical department of the hospital. He discovers the reasons of why human behaves in a particular way, in every episode. Every episode is catchy and stories are new. Though we all have seen HOUSE M.D but this series is not a replica of house. It mainly shows how SHAUN uses his high I.Q to solve a case and how he socializes everyday with the colleagues . The screenplay is pacy and audience do not get bored.

    Acting-

    We have seen awesome acting from Freddie Highmore in BATE MOTEL. As a autistic boy he has taken his acting to another level in this series. His dialogue delivery and little nuances is just too good. Other actors did well also. They played the part to make sure the protagonist evolve as a character. Though we see each of their's problems and insecurities in the series.

    Overall, it is a good series. It has got more than 8 rating out of 10 in IMDB. You must have a look at this series.
