Bonjour,
Nous avions regardé la saison 1 il y a 2 ans, environ, et on avait relativement bien aimé.
Nous avons donc décidé de regarder la 2e saison, composée de 6 épisodes.
Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo) est avocat pour la CIA.
Cela ne fait pas longtemps qu'il a intégré la CIA, mais il a déjà une sacrée réputation. En effet, il a l'art de mettre son nez là où ça fait mal, mais il ne peut pas s'en empêcher, c'est plus fort que lui. Il est doué et il a beaucoup de chance, ce qui ne l'incite pas à réfléchir avant de s'y lancer !
Cette fois, l'affaire dans laquelle il s'est plongé, va surtout l'emmener en Corée, mais il voyagera beaucoup, en supportant les différents jetlags que cela implique.
Malgré sa séparation avec Hannah (Fivel Stewart), son ancienne colocataire, Owen garde de profonds sentiments pour elle. Il sait, toutefois, qu'il met constamment ses proches en danger, quoiqu'il fasse et il essaie donc de garder ses distances.
Au cours de son voyage, il retrouvera une amie d'enfance qui s'avérera bien utile.
Mon avis et petites infos :
Beaucoup d'action, un humour bien dosé et un peu de sentiments .. de quoi passer un moment agréable.
Quelques têtes connues sont à l'affiche de cette série dont : Vondie Curtis-Hall, Nathan Fillion, James Purefoy, Hiro Kanagawa, Colton Dunn, Kristian Bruun, ..
La saison 3 vient d'être annulée par Netflix, car pas assez rentable sous la forme d'une série de 6 épisodes par saison. Le créateur Alexi Hawley espère que la suite se fera, par exemple, sous forme de film et/ou sur une autre plateforme. Nous attendrons donc de voir ce qu'il adviendra de la suite du projet.
Je ne sais pas encore ce que nous allons regarder ce soir, mais je vous retrouve bientôt, de toutes façons, pour nos petits repas de début mars 😋.
The tragic events of September 11, 2001, not only shook the United States as a nation but also had a profound impact on the perception of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The intelligence failure that preceded the attacks tarnished the mystique surrounding the Agency, and many Americans began to question its competence. It took time for the CIA's reputation to recover, and during this period, Hollywood films dedicated to the Agency struggled to find success at the box office or critical acclaim. The 2003 film The Recruit was one of those casualties.
The protagonist is James Clayton (Colin Farrell), a young and brilliant MIT graduate who is approached by Walter Burke (Al Pacino), a seasoned CIA officer, in order to join the Agency's training program. At first hesitant, Clayton finally agrees and becomes CIA recruit, learning all kinds of new skills. As he of the program, he becomes entangled in a web of deception and intrigue, which might involve Layla (Bridget Moynahan), beautiful femake recruit to whom he feels attracted.
In strictly technical terms, The Recruit is a solid film, thanks to the competent direction of Roger Donaldson, an experienced New Zealand filmmaker who replaced James Foley during production. Donaldson's previous work, particularly the surprisingly effective 1987 spy thriller No Way Out, made him a more than suitable choice for this project. The film initially appears to be more serious and realistic depiction of modern intelligence work, partly thanks to Canadian locations, which pass for Washington, D.C. and its surroundings.
However, the casting choices almost immediately suggest that The Recruit is Hollywood mainstream production with all cliches and limitations that come with it. Colin Farrell, despite his character’s geeky background, looks too macho and "cool" to be entirely convincing as a CIA agent. Bridget Moynahan's serves mostly as eye candy and lacks the necessary chemistry with Farrell. The film's downfall becomes even more apparent in the final act, where Al Pacino's performance succumbs to his tendency to overact. The last twenty minutes are marred by a "clever" plot twist that can be easily predicted by even the least experienced viewers. This twist comes too late to completely wreck the film, but it nevertheless leaves viewers generally disappointed.
While the box office was solid, critics were mixed, and it didn’t take much for The Recruit to sink into oblivion and become one of the more obscure title in filmographies of all involved.
Elle se compose de 8 épisodes et sachez qu'une 2e saison, de 8 épisodes également, est d'ores et déjà en cours de tournage, qui devrait se terminer fin mars 2024.
Synopsis :
Un jeune avocat, Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo), est recruté par la CIA. Il a à peine 24 ans et vit en colocation avec son ex-petite-amie Hannah (Fivel Stewart) et Terrence Hoffman (Daniel Quincy Annoh).
Il a déjà plusieurs dossiers en souffrance qui l'attendent sur son bureau. A lui de voir ceux qui sont dignes d'intérêt et ceux qui pourraient être dangereux à laisser de côté.
A la CIA, mieux vaut ne pas trop en savoir sur les dossiers des autres collègues pour éviter d'être "complice" ou accusé d'avoir omis de signaler une information cruciale. Lors des réunions du service juridique, les différents employés donnent donc l'état d'avancement de leurs dossiers, par le biais de métaphores que le chef sera le seul à comprendre.
Il arrive que certains employés parlent entre eux de l'un ou l'autre dossier épineux pour demander conseil ou service, mais c'est toujours à risques.
Owen étant nouveau, ses collègues directs, chargés de lui apprendre la façon de travailler et les protocoles de la CIA, vont prendre plaisir à omettre de lui donner certaines infos, surtout pendant ses premiers jours.
Owen semble avoir mis la main sur un fameux dossier, puisque qu'une femme biélorusse, Max Meladze (Laura Haddock), actuellement en prison à Phoenix, menace de dévoiler de fâcheux secrets d'état. Il en avisera son supérieur qui lui fournira les autorisations nécessaires pour avancer dans cette affaire et résoudre ce dossier avec le moins de dégâts possibles.
Owen est, apparemment, quelqu'un de fonceur, sûr de lui, mais qui a l'art de se mettre dans de mauvaises situations, tout en réussissant à s'en sortir à chaque fois.
Mon avis :
J'ai bien aimé et suis contente qu'une saison 2 soit programmée.
Pour ce qui est des acteurs, vous connaissez peut-être Fivel Stewart qui jouait Izzie dans la série Atypical.
Amanda Schull a un petit rôle d'une détenue de la prison qui connaissait la Biélorusse, elle jouait aussi dans la série Suits Avocats sur mesure où elle interprétait Katrina Bennett.
Nathan Fillion est, ici, un agent du Centcom, mais vous le connaissez certainement des séries The Rookie et Castle.
C'est donc une série sympa qui se laisse regarder et qui nous fait voyager sur le terrain ..

Saludos Hivers, espero hayan tenido un feliz jueves, el mío bastante ocupado y algo agotador, pero de cierto modo agradecido por un nuevo día y por las fuerzas que me da Dios para seguir presto a ayudar a mi pareja en su satisfactoria evolución.
Antes de que todo esto le sucediera, estábamos viendo una serie que si bien ea bastante buena, por cuestión de gustos siempre veíamos un capítulo por día o la mitad de uno.
Yo soy más de series y mi pareja de películas, entonces siempre hubo un choque allí. Sin embargo, hace un par de días terminamos de verla y debo confesar que estoy ansioso por la segunda temporada.
Y hablando de ello, ya se ha confirmado que está serie de comedia y suspenso tendrá una segunda temporada muy esperada.
Les hablo de "The recruit" una serie sobre muchos secretos, riesgo y acción. Dado que el protagonista del mismo obtiene un trabajo bastante interesante, como lo es ser la parte legal como abogado de la CIA.

Greetings Hivers, I hope you had a happy Thursday, mine was quite busy and somewhat tiring, but in a way grateful for a new day and for the strength that God gives me to continue helping my partner in his satisfactory evolution.
Before all this happened to him, we were watching a series that although it is quite good, due to our tastes we always watched one episode a day or half of one.
I'm more of a series guy and my partner is more of a movie guy, so there was always a clash there. However, a couple of days ago we finished watching it and I must confess that I'm looking forward to the second season.
And speaking of which, it has already been confirmed that this comedy and suspense series will have a long awaited second season.
I'm talking about "The Recruit" a series about many secrets, risk and action. Since the protagonist of it gets a very interesting job, as it is to be the legal part as a lawyer for the CIA.
Pero pues lo que se supone que son sus funciones dentro de la agencia se vuelven todo un disparate. Lo que inició como un juego para burlarse del novato, fue el camino para que no solo velara por los intereses de la organización, también para poner su vida en peligro por su inexperiencia.
La vida de este abogado antes de entrar a la CIA no habia sido la mejor, siendo que su familia es disfuncional de alguna manera. Si padre murió en una misión y su madre a raíz de ello se volvió loca.
Por ende él de cierto modo tiene una personalidad algo cerrada, pero también egoísta en cierto sentido, algo que se ve muy a menudo en las decisiones que va tomando según las circunstancias en la que se encuentra.
Muy descuidado pero a la vez inteligente, tosco para decir las cosas tomando en cuenta que en la CIA se debe manejar las misiones en secreto incluso de algunos miembros de la misma organización para de cierto modo evitar alguna fuga de información o boicot.

This lawyer's life before joining the CIA had not been the best, being that his family is dysfunctional in some ways. His father died on a mission and his mother went crazy as a result.
Therefore he has a somewhat closed personality, but also selfish in a sense, something that is often seen in the decisions he makes according to the circumstances in which he finds himself.
Very careless but at the same time intelligent, rough to say things taking into account that in the CIA missions must be handled in secret even from some members of the same organization to somehow avoid any leak of information or boycott.
Toda su percepción de lo que sería su nueva vida trabajando para una organización tan poderosa e importante va cambiando a medida que de adentra en unos de los casos más complejos de su vida, donde un "recurso" de la organización amenaza con decir todos los secretos de la agencia.
Cuando intenta mediar una situación en específico se dan otros eventos que debe arreglar, es decir cada paso que da es una complicación extra de todo lo que le está pasando.
Esto hace que su vida personal también se vea amenazada pues enfrenta un problema existencia sobre una vieja relación con una amiga que vive en el mismo departamento que él junto a su amigo.
En el desarrollo de esta serie este abogado incluso hace cosas impensables para poder buscar la salida de algún problema. Desde ser el novio de una compañera para obtener su ayuda, hasta ser básicamente alguien que rompe todas las reglas y normas de la organización.
Su nombre empieza a aparecer y pronunciarse en la boca de muchos agentes importantes incluso en la casa blanca. Muchas veces es tomado como un peligro para la agencia y quiénes en un momento son de su mismo bando lo buscan para matar y luego proteger.

His whole perception of what his new life would be like working for such a powerful and important organization changes as he enters one of the most complex cases of his life, where a "resource" of the organization threatens to tell all the secrets of the agency.
When he tries to mediate a specific situation there are other events that he must fix, meaning that every step he takes is an extra complication of everything that is happening to him.
This makes that his personal life is also threatened because he faces an existing problem about an old relationship with a friend who lives in the same apartment as him and his friend.
In the development of this series this lawyer even does unthinkable things in order to find a way out of some problem. From being the boyfriend of a colleague to get her help, to basically being someone who breaks all the rules and norms of the organization.
His name begins to appear and be pronounced in the mouths of many important agents even in the white house. Many times he is taken as a danger to the agency and those who at one point are of the same side as him are looking for him to kill and then protect.
Es una serie compleja en cuanto a la trama porque hay muchas, sobre todo por los diferentes intereses que tienen varios personajes dentro del mismo pero que a su vez están conectados con todos los sucesos.
Este abogado casi nunca obtiene descanso, parece que estuviera haciendo una residencia médica para especializarse, en su caso para ser y vivir todo lo que debe enfrentar un recurso de la agencia y las consecuencias cuando las cosas no se dan a favor de la misma.
El final de esta serie me dejó atónito, fue bastante inesperado y por supuesto que quiero ver pronto la segunda temporada porque muchas cosas quedaron pendientes, sobre todo la situacion amorosa del abogado con su amiga, y descubrir el real enemigo de la agencia.

It is a complex series in terms of plot because there are many, mainly because of the different interests that various characters have within it but which in turn are connected to all the events.
This lawyer almost never gets a break, it seems like he was doing a medical residency to specialize, in his case to be and live everything that an agency resource must face and the consequences when things don't go in the agency's favor.
The end of this series left me stunned, it was quite unexpected and of course I want to see the second season soon because many things were left pending, especially the love situation of the lawyer with his friend, and discover the real enemy of the agency.
