The Sadness (2021) Review@kingsleyy389d
Greetings movie lovers.
One of my best genres of movies is the horror type, and I’m very much fond of the zombie style because I get curious and imagine how the world is going to be if it eventually gets overrun by zombies. I came across this movie "The Sadness" via a mere recommendation on social media, and after I watched it, I kept wondering how a movie like this is not hyped. I remember making a post about it on my WhatsApp status, and I got a lot of people asking which movie it was.
This movie is a standout in terms of brutality, among all the zombie movies I have watched. I’ve seen many zombie movies, you know, because I’m a fan of them, and for me to pick this as a standout in terms of brutality, you must know it’s really brutal to the core.
Over the years, I have seen the transformation and evolution of zombies in movies, but the ones in this movie are not just ordinary zombies. These ones still have human senses in them. They're killable; in fact, the infection is not just a zombie virus per se, but something else entirely.
Okay, so there was news about the outbreak of a virus in the city of China that’s affecting people and making them kill those who are not infected, in very brutal ways. Not only that, the virus also makes the infected have an extremely high s3x drive—to the extent of same-s3x acts in public. The infected, with their human senses still intact, would team up with other infected and attack the non-infected, tear their flesh, suck blood, cut off pr!vate párts, jubilate, and even have s3x naked in the street.
How is the virus transmitted?
It’s in the air. Once it enters someone’s brain, the person starts thinking about violence, killing, and s3xual acts, and there’s no satisfaction point.
The storyline and the main characters
Kim and Kat, a young couple living and enjoying real love in the city, heard about the virus but didn’t take it seriously. Kat went to work, and while on the train, the virus trickled in and got into the minds of some people. That’s how the killing started—in a very brutal way—such as plucking out people’s eyes, tearing flesh, sucking blood, and even bathing in blood while in a joyous mood. Kat couldn’t believe her eyes because almost everyone on the train was enjoying the show, except her and just a few others. She rescued someone whose eye had been plucked out and headed to the hospital, while one of the infected men chased them because he wanted to finish his work.
Kat reached out to Kim via phone, and at home too, Kim’s neighbour got infected and used a flower spear to cut off his fingers, but he managed to kill the neighbour.
Imdb
Kim told his wife to stay put while he came to get her—but did that happen? Their end story gave birth to the title of the movie because Kim got infected along the way. Did I spoil it? Maybe a bit—but there’s more to this movie that interested and freaked me out.
Imdb
The editor and producers at large understood the movie script very well, and that made the brutal scenes feel very real—even though they appeared fake a bit, with the excess blood pumps and baths. I won’t lie; I love how they worked on the graphics.
The best part for me was when the president of China was making announcements and begging everyone to stay calm because they were working on controlling the situation. Then, the soldier standing beside him got infected and put a bomb in his mouth(president's mouth)—and his head, yes, the president’s head, blew off! And guess what? That happened while they were on national TV, live on air.
I have written a lot already.
This movie is a 10/10 rating for me.
›The Sadness (2022) Review– Pure Violence, No Filter@papamogambo392d
Hello friends, I'm @papamogambo. Some of my friends suggested me a movie called The Sadness. Chinese movie. You have to watch it with subtitles, and you have to watch it. I couldn't find it available anywhere. You will watch it, and you will have to watch it with English subtitles because the movie is in the original language, but you will get it.
Now, I saw this movie. After watching this movie, after just 15-20 minutes, the thought that will come to your mind is, "But I made a mistake by watching it!" Tell me why? The violence, the bloodshed, the things in this movie, you can't watch it even while eating. Forget that. If you watch it while eating, it means that your whole day's food has become a story. But if you watch it even after eating, your body will be shot.
I have seen such violent movies before. It doesn't feel bad to watch. But this movie is so gross and so violent that I was also getting goosebumps. At one point, I had to close my eyes because I couldn't watch it anymore.
Story Overview
Now, if I tell you the story—it's about a virus. A virus has spread in a city. That virus goes into people's heads, affects their heads, and turns them into zombies. Zombies mean they are killing everyone, they are doing the opposite, torturing people with girls. Such a situation has been created in the city. There is almost a commotion. Such things are happening everywhere.
Our hero and heroine get trapped here. How do they get out of here, whether they can get out of the situation at all—this is what the whole movie is about. Where the movie and this virus came from and what its story is—will also be told in the movie.
It is a short movie. 1 hour and 40 minutes running length. You don't have to waste much time. And that is the positive side of this movie. The movie doesn't promise you many things like, yes, I'll show you this, give you scientific stuff, give you an explanation, a lot of stuff. Where did the virus come from, your head will spin. You have to stop and go back and forth to understand what it means; yes, brother, what did it mean?
Not this thing. Simple story and it is presented simply. It is not presented in a twisted way like this. This thing is good. Easy to understand. If you are watching it with English subtitles, they are written so easily that you will easily understand what the movie is trying to say.
It is not told in a twisted way, that is good. It has been made crisply in a short time. The editing is very strong. And the matter that it wants to show, it shows. The movie is ending, it didn't want to do much in it, that is good. And I mean, the makers didn't even try that thing. You'll understand that when you see it.
Coming, I mean the place is shown—what the people are like from that place. Some violent sequences, then the story about the virus, where the virus comes from—all of these wrap up the movie. That thing is pretty good.
And violence works so well in this movie, and that's the main thing of the movie. And the makers have showcased that. That yes, you will see the violence—where it's not, the skin is biting. There's a scene where hot oil is poured, and the skin is melting there. I'm talking about that throat area, what does it feel like, that seriously—that there's a place for violence, that there's bloodshed.
Those who want to watch violent movies, those who want to watch movies that don't require much effort, just watch stuff like violence, gore, and bloodshed—for them, this movie is a treat. There are such violent sequences that will make your heart pound. Children and adults who can't watch such movies should stay away from this movie. Otherwise, your body may get sick.
In this movie, the emotion works at the end. I mean, many movies are so short, so crisp, that the emotion and motion don't work at all. But, in this movie, the emotion works at the end, at least a little. And there isn't much emotional space here.
Therefore, the portion or the place where the makers wanted the emotion to work—worked at that place. The rest of the movie is also shown with violence. The whole, I mean the whole place was shown. The transformation of the people there was shown, those things. It told about the medicine. These are the things that are shown.
So the emotions, the feelings—these things are not there in abundance here. It's a simple story. It's presented simply. And the raw thing, the violent thing, was shown very well. Those who like to watch this kind of movie, those whose hearts are fairly strong, should go and watch this movie—with English subtitles.
This was the review of the movie called The Sadness. Those who have seen it, please comment. Those who haven't seen it, watch it.

Welcome my dear degenerate internet travelers and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, I like films focused on viruses and pandemics, after what we experienced due to Covid 19 I find them films that are easy to identify with, that was what came to mind after reading a brief description of the film that brings us together today titled “The Sadness,” which proposes a world in which a new pathogen changes the way life is perceived. Without further ado, prepare to succumb to all kinds of depravities because we are about to begin.

The soundtrack is not an interesting point at any time, it is present throughout the film and helps generate some intrigue, however, it is never a section that shines above the rest.

Nothing to highlight, its world focuses on showing the decline of a society that was hit by an unknown pathogen, outside of that brief description, the context only serves to show countless indigestible and bizarre scenes. At the same time, it is necessary to highlight how excellent the makeup and all its other effects look, which look extremely real and that makes them cause even more repulsion.

The plot is completely vomitous, the film only seeks to show an insane amount of nauseating scenes during which all kinds of disgusting things are shown, however, all these unspeakable acts produced by those infected only make the film adopt a character of extremely high tension. There is not much to highlight narratively, the film is quite simple in terms of its premise and only stands out for the number of horrible and bloodthirsty scenes it contains. Although it lasts just over an hour and a half, I can guarantee that it seems eternal, the above is a product of the amount of exposed blood and viscera that is constantly on screen.

The few healthy characters in the film only stand out for their desire to survive the terrible calamity, at no time do they have a characterization or anything similar, the latter seems to be intentional because at all times it is intended to maintain a certain halo of chaos in all sections of the film, this section being no exception because it aligns perfectly with this twisted standard.
The Sadness is one of the most abominable things I have ever seen, it houses countless disgusting scenes that can boast the fact of being completely horrid and unpleasant, it is a film that only seeks to test how strong your stomach you are and if you can watch it completely. It is for all the above that it deserves 2.5 stars out of 7, it fulfills its function of showing an insane amount of depraved things, if you want to test how much you can last without vomiting and see what is in the mind of a degenerate, this is your film.

›The Sadness | This has nothing to do with sadness@jauregui981453d
I see the trailer for the first time and I laugh like you have no idea, it is something that gives more laughter than fear, terror, or a feeling of disgust for all the blood they show, on the contrary, it is one of those movies where humans have at least 20 liters of blood and triple blood pressure, because while we understand that blood can make things look worse than they are, here they reached a point of ridiculousness by showing an excessive amount of blood that makes it impossible to take seriously what we are seeing, so it gives me too much laughter.
The Sadness is about a couple that wakes up one day of the most normal day, she goes to work, he stays buying food, then the chaos begins because there is a disease that has had many mutations and the last one turns humans into unhinged sadists and bloodthirsty, and it is true, but what I do not understand is that they say it is a series of zombies, when these infected people are very different from zombies, that is, they do not die and revive, on the contrary, they get infected and if they do not die, they become part of this new sadistic human race, but if they fail they do not wake up again or anything like that, although they can be a new species of zombies, still, that confused me too much.
The only thing I can assure you about this movie is that there will be blood, a lot of blood, plus sadism that has no qualms about making our stomach twist, something that only happened once to me. Still, it was something unexpected and very rare, otherwise, all the murders and situations in which the characters will find themselves will be almost unreal, But they can happen or they already happened at some point. They were used as inspiration for all the horrible scenes that are here, and I say horrible in the best sense of the word because they are good no matter that what we are seeing is just a true sample of how horrible human beings can be.
That scene I mentioned that disgusted me was horrible, it includes vomit, if you can't stand vomit, be prepared to feel horrified to the depths of your existence, because the situation is not that it includes vomit, it's the place where they vomit, what they did before vomiting, and the truth is that we don't know if the vomit was something premeasured, or if it just happened, and that's it, I think it was premeditated because the one who vomited was one of those non-zombie zombies, and taking into account that they have no scruples, it is very likely that it was premeditated, and another horrible thing was the content of the vomit, fuck, I remember it and I get a coughing attack again because of the disgust it gives me.
One of my favorite things is the photography of the film, that sickly green tint that makes everything look worse than it is, is suitable for this type of film, because although they usually have a grayish or yellowish tint, here it is more greenish than anything else, which changes things a lot. There is something that I completely hated is the story, it is one of the most cliché things that can exist, the main story seems to be a secondary story of how ordinary and predictable it is, I mean, it's good that they wanted to make the couple separated and now they are trying to reunite again in the middle of all the chaos that has just been created because of the virus that turns people into zombies, but no, they were too idiotic.
One of the main problems of the story is that the characters don't have any kind of development, or at least the development fails and they end up being the same or worse than they were before, but worse in a basic sense, not that they became bad people, only at the end is that we will see a real character development, which is not good because it is too late to make us empathize with some characters when there are only 10 minutes left in the movie, that is, have more consideration. The other gigantic problem with the story is that halfway through it seems like they realized that the movie didn't have to be very long, so they cut off half of the plot and made all the supposedly important events happen very fast, and no, that was horrible, it's like jumping from chapter 3 of a series to chapter 8, you don't know what happened, you're in the middle of a new plot, you don't understand what's going on, it was horrible, they did that in the movie and I don't forgive them, it's fine that they wanted to make a degenerate movie in every way, but at least make it right.
Another one of my favorite things about the movie was the construction of the villains, while the disease is bad, there are specific characters that become the epitome of evil and sadism here, which leads me to talk about something else, but that will be in the next paragraph. Here there is a wretched bad son of a bitch man that I loved, I loved it was how well they built him, I think he is the best-written character in the movie, because even though not everything revolves around him, it should, he is the best thing the movie has, and I hated the ending they gave him, I mean, these people only know how to start something good and end up ruining it just because, I dislike them, very badly.
Another thing I almost forgot to mention is the fact that these zombies are not dead, they are alive, and the disease affects their brains making them only able to follow or listen to their savage, sadistic instincts, which makes them still conscious of what they do, whether they want to do everything they do or not, and that generated a lot of confusion for me, because although they say it is about zombies, it is not, unless they manage to register this new version of zombies. After all, if not, they are only humans who were stripped of their morals and sense of good, leaving them free to commit any act they want, but I will not tell you anything else, watch the trailer, watch the movie, laugh and feel much disgust.
The film stirred up a lot of extreme emotions before it got out of Asia.
Sadness can be described as a commentary on the society we live in.
It shows the madness, but also this indifference to others.
The director tries not only to show the outpouring of blood and madness, but also to portray the image of empty people who are staring at their phones and are unable to react in important moments.
Asian cinema has always been about frenetic pacing and grotesque violence, and this is the case here.
The film focuses on a young couple, Kat and her boyfriend live together. The boyfriend drives her to the subway and decides to go to a pub to eat something.
In the meantime, people are getting sick with Alvin, a mild form of the flu that seems harmless to humans.
Things start to get complicated when the diner becomes chaotic and people start killing each other. Kat is on the subway when she realizes the worst day of her life has just begun.
The Film is slightly inspired by zombie cinema, but here the transformers are fully rational, but want to do no blood craziness.
A boy has to traverse the city to find his girlfriend and at the same time not get eaten.
Sadness can be grotesquely brutal but also shocking. The director balances on a thin line between decent cinema and repulsive.
While in any other film many such scenes would be what sick cinema would be like, here they fit well with the whole concept the director wanted to portray.
Not only does the film show that people in a state of emergency are more concerned with the number of likes than with the lives of others, but it adds some crazy depth to it.
As for the visuals, it's interestingly done, many scenes are very interestingly shot, and the zombie madness itself looks very realistic.
As far as acting goes, it's hard to pick on anyone because it's a road movie with two protagonists in two very different places, who have to meet up somehow, and there are many dangers along the way.
I can honestly say that no zombie movie has ever come close to the madness that Sadness portrays.
Here it is portrayed as something that is both evil and vile at the same time, but with tears in their eyes, the infected carry out one slaughter after another.
The finale is a bit of a nod to Night of the Living Dead .
The Sadness title is not about the characters, it's more about the viewer, after the screening we will feel the kind of sadness that will stay with us for a long while.
It's not about zombies, it's about the world we live in, where one person murders another and a third is happy to record it. A poignant sadness where madness has long been all around us.
The film is brutal, though not as brutal as you might think, many scenes are guesswork, and the more blunt ones the camera tries to show as little as possible.
The problem with zombie movies is that usually we expect something positive, here for most of the movie we feel a depressing helplessness.
The Tajwan shows what Hollywood is so afraid of in its zombie films, namely this powerlessness, helplessness and growing social desensitization.
Not counting a few stronger scenes, it's a movie that's more human than it is about zombies.
7/10 , though it's a movie that can throw you off after 20 minutes.
Chłopak odwozi ja do metra, a sam postanawia wejść do knajpy by coś zjeść.
