How many adaptations have been made of The Three Musketeers? Countless, very many. Theater, cinema and television in different countries have adapted this work, some with bad results and others with outstanding productions. It is a true classic, very well known. I remember I was very young when I had the opportunity to see a black and white movie that was broadcast on television, which motivated me to look for the original source, the novels of Alexandre Dumas.
By the way, some time ago I read a book (I don't remember the name) and later information spread on the internet, where it was debated who really wrote The Three Musketeers. Dumas used teams of people to help him in the style of ghostwriters for his novels. The historian Auguste Maquet was one of them and it seems that much of The Three Musketeers was written by him, although he was never legally acknowledged. What a rascal Dumas was, wasn't he? Even the one you least believe.
I also remembered that a few years ago there was a British series called The Musketeers that ran for about three seasons. I watched the first few episodes, it wasn't a bad series, but it didn't hook me enough, so I stopped watching it in the first season. Anyway I recommend it, it's a good option if you're left wanting more adventures after watching the movie.
Coincidentally this year another version of The Three Musketeers was also released, directed by Bill Thomas, it's a very bad British production. I tried to watch it a year ago and couldn't even get half way through, it's a disaster. So I approached this other French version, with low expectations, which was beneficial, because I was quite surprised. Be careful when looking for the version I recommend, don't confuse it with the other one.
¿Cuántas adaptaciones se han hecho de Los tres mosqueteros? Innumerables, muchísimas. El teatro, el cine y la televisión de diferentes países han adaptado esta obra, algunos con malos resultados y otros con producciones sobresalientes. Es un verdadero clásico, muy conocido. Recuerdo que era muy joven cuando tuve la oportunidad de ver una película en blanco y negro que se emitía por televisión, lo que me motivó a buscar la fuente original, las novelas de Alejandro Dumas.
Por cierto, hace algún tiempo leí un libro (no recuerdo el nombre) y posteriormente información que se difunde en internet, donde se debatía quién escribió realmente Los Tres Mosqueteros. Dumas utilizaba equipos de personas que le ayudaban al estilo de los escritores fantasmas para sus novelas. El historiador Auguste Maquet fue uno de ellos y parece que gran parte de Los tres mosqueteros fue escrita por él, aunque nunca fue reconocido legalmente. Qué bribón era Dumas, ¿verdad? Hasta el que menos te crees.
También he recordado que hace unos años hubo una serie británica llamada Los Mosqueteros que duró unas tres temporadas. Vi los primeros capítulos, no era mala serie, pero no me enganchó lo suficiente, así que dejé de verla en la primera temporada. De todas formas la recomiendo, es una buena opción si te quedas con ganas de más aventuras después de ver la película.
Casualmente este año también se estrenó otra versión de Los Tres Mosqueteros, dirigida por Bill Thomas, es una producción británica muy mala. Intenté verla hace un año y no pude ni llegar a la mitad, es un desastre. Así que me acerqué a esta otra versión francesa, con bajas expectativas, lo cual fue beneficioso, porque me sorprendió bastante. Ten cuidado cuando busques la versión que recomiendo, no la confundas con la otra.

The first film closes most of the conflicts but also leaves the door open for the next adventure, because the great conspiracy against the King continues, with a mysterious character we have seen, but don't know who he is, who is handling the treachery in the shadows. The cliffanger is great, leaving expectations high for the next movie.

The cast is fabulous and another reason why I wanted to see the film, although I had doubts when I started watching it. Fortunately, those doubts disappeared immediately, when I saw the quality and seriousness they took to make this adaptation.
Athos, Pothos and Aramis are played by three excellent actors who achieve the necessary chemistry to make the camaraderie between them believable. The bonds of friendship and service to the French crown is something that distinguishes these three musketeers. The most recognized actor of the three is the magnificent Vincent Cassel, whom many viewers will surely know not only for having been Monica Bellucci's husband, but also for his extensive filmography where he always makes his presence felt in any character. Phortos is played by Pio Marmaï and Aramis by Romain Duris. Both with an extensive film career in France.
D'Artagnan , the young hero of the story is played by François Civil, an actor I have not seen much, I think I have pending to see another film where he is the protagonist. He is a handsome actor who fits perfectly in his role as an ambitious young man who wants to be a musketeer and is loyal to France. His arrival at the Palace coincides with the events that originate the whole plot and both he and the maid who works for the Queen will play a fundamental role in the development of the conflict.
Last but not least, the most beautiful villain in history, capable of bewitching only with her gaze (look at her and you will be spellbound), the fabulous Eva Green plays the evil and lethal Milady de Winter, who will be the most visible face of all those behind the conspiracy against the King, to go to war against the English. Few actresses have pleased me as much as Eva Green, since I saw her in Dreamers I have been fascinated by her.
Les Trois Mousquetaires: D'Artagnan is an excellent adaptation of a story that many of us know but never tire of watching (or reading). I want to see more movies like this one that convey emotion, with characters we care about and just the right amount of effects, without going overboard, all in balance. Romance, betrayal, battles, adventure, death, intrigue, the movie has it all and I recommend it.

El reparto es fabuloso y otra de las razones por las que queria ver el film, aunque tenía dudas cuando empecé a verla. Afortunadamente, esas dudas desaparecieron de inmediato, cuando vi la calidad y seriedad que se tomaron para hacer esta adaptación.
Athos, Pothos y Aramis están interpretados por tres excelentes actores que consiguen la química necesaria para hacer creíble la camaradería entre ellos. Los lazos de amistad y servicio a la corona francesa es algo que distingue a estos tres mosqueteros. El actor más reconocido de los tres es el magnífico Vincent Cassel, al que seguramente muchos espectadores conocerán no sólo por haber sido el marido de Monica Bellucci, sino también por su extensa filmografía donde siempre se hace notar en cualquier personaje. Phortos está interpretado por Pio Marmaï y Aramis por Romain Duris. Ambos con una dilatada carrera cinematográfica en Francia.

Su llegada a Palacio coincide con los acontecimientos que originan toda la trama y tanto él como la criada que trabaja para la Reina jugarán un papel fundamental en el desarrollo del conflicto.
Por último, pero no menos importante, la villana más bella de la historia, capaz de hechizar sólo con su mirada (mírala y quedarás hechizado), la fabulosa Eva Green interpreta a la malvada y letal Milady de Winter, que será la cara más visible de todos los que están detrás de la conspiración contra el Rey, para ir a la guerra contra los ingleses. Pocas actrices me han gustado tanto como Eva Green, desde que la vi en Dreamers queda fascinado por ella.
Les Trois Mousquetaires: D'Artagnan es una excelente adaptación de una historia que muchos conocemos pero que nunca nos cansamos de ver (o leer). Quiero ver más películas como ésta, que transmiten emoción, con personajes que nos importan y con la cantidad justa de efectos, sin pasarse, todo en equilibrio. Romance, traición, batallas, aventura, muerte, intriga, la película lo tiene todo y la recomiendo.
