So, Transformers 2! Finally struggled my way into the mechanical world of the Autobots and the Decepticons to see the drama unfold. I was late also in watching the first one having to force a friend to watch it the second time for him, with me; not that he minded!
The general ‘look’ and ‘feel’ and multi-million dollar CG effects in the form of transforming modes of vehicles is still the same. They probably made some of the animations even before the first movie was out.
So what have I got to say about the second modern Transformers movie?
First of all, it is a movie for everybody. Everybody here ranges from teenagers to adults. Whether you’re a self-professed geek or a fashion guru, you will like the film. I’m careful here; you won’t LOVE the movie, but you will be able to go with the flow, forgive the quiet bits and anticipate the climactic bits.
You WILL be blown away by the CGI, and you will be swept up in the grandeur of Optimus Prime; he is after all of some royal descent.
What I’m not sure about is the whole craze about Megan Fox. Sure she runs around a bit, and sure there is the cheesy love thing going on between her character Mikaela and Sam (Shia LaBeouf), but I guess that cements the fantasy of most of the audience which will be watching this movie.
Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen is made for the masses, and is an enjoyable popcorn action flick.
