Utopia is a British conspiracy thriller television series that was originally broadcast on Channel 4. The show was written by Dennis Kelly and starred Fiona O'Shaughnessy, Adeel Akhtar, Paul Higgins, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Alexandra Roach, Oliver Woollford, Alistair Petrie, and Neil Maskell. The show has since gained a cult following.

There are TV series that come as a pleasant surprise, as in my experience, it is common for the story's rhythm to be lost after the first season—or sometimes even during it—diminishing the excitement that hooked us in the first episode. Yesterday I finished watching the first season of Utopia and wondered how come I have never seen that series before. Despite the fact that in many parts the series made me grimace for a bad script or something that could have gone better in some way, it is impossible not to fall in love with the artistic section of the series, and I have come to talk about that little here. Utopia (Dennis Kelly, 2013) is one of the best TV series I've ever seen.
