Hello, people of the Internet! Today I want to tell you about this movie which fascinated me from the beginning, because it's about videogames and more than everything, Arcade videogames, which made me remember the hours and money I spent inside the Arcade in one of the shopping malls in my city.
¡Hola, gente de Internet! Hoy quiero hablarles de esta película la cuál me fascinó de entrada, ya que trata sobre videojuegos y más que todo, videojuegos de Arcade, lo que me hizo recordar las horas y el dinero que gastaba dentro del Arcade en uno de los centros comerciales de mi ciudad.
Ralph is the villain of a video game who is unhappy with his current life, he wants to live like the heroes and so, with this thought, Ralph decides to leave his game to win a medal in another game (an honour exclusive to the good guys) at the risk of dying, because if a character dies outside his game, he dies forever. This in turn causes his own game to be catalogued by the owner of the Arcade as "broken" because when a girl tries to play, Ralph is not there, and as we all know, without a good villain, there is no game (it is a fundamental part), this is how Felix (the hero of the game) decides to go looking for Ralph throughout the universe of video games to return him in an attempt to save his own video game.
Ralph es el villano de un videojuego que está inconforme con su vida actual, quiere vivir como los héroes y es así, con este pensamiento, como Ralph decide abandonar su juego para ganar una medalla en otro (honor exclusivo de los buenos) bajo el riesgo de morir, ya que si un personaje muere fuera de su juego, muere para siempre. Esto por su parte hace que su propio juego sea catalogado por el dueño del Arcade como "descompuesto" ya que cuando una niña intenta jugar, Ralph no está, y como todos sabemos, sin un buen villano, no hay juego (es parte fundamental), es así como Félix (el héroe del juego) decide ir a buscar a Ralph por todo el universo de los videojuegos para devolverlo en un intento por salvar su propio videojuego.
One of the things I liked most about this film is the cinematography and the high level of detail in showing us the world of video games. The fact that the central station is a power strip and that the plugs and cables of each game lead to them is phenomenal and quite ingenious. The design of each of the characters is great and above all is in keeping with the genre and aesthetics of the video games they belong to.
Una de las cosas que más me gustaron de esta película es su fotografía y su alto detalle al mostrarnos el mundo de los videojuegos. El hecho de que la estación central sea una regleta eléctrica y que por los enchufes y cables de cada juego se llega a ellos es fenomenal y bastante ingenioso. El diseño de cada uno de los personajes es genial y sobre todo es acorde al género y la estética de los videojuegos a los que pertenecen.
I also loved the story, the message of never giving up from Vanellope and Ralph's determination is one of the best things about the film, the way the story is structured and how the two stories of Vanellope and Ralph connect so naturally and how their characters develop and their friendship is excellent, I also love the development of Sergeant Tamora Jean Calhoun.
La historia también me encantó, el mensaje de nunca rendirse por parte de Vanellope y la determinación de Ralph es una de las mejores cosas de la película, el cómo está estructurada la historia y como las dos historias de Vanellope y Ralph se conectan de forma tan natural, y como se desarrollan sus personajes y su relación de amistad es excelsa, asimismo también me encanta el desarrollo de la sargento Tamora Jean Calhoun.
Another thing I love is the appearance of other real video game characters like Mario or Sonic, or the references to famous video games like Hero's Duty which is just a clear reference to Call of Duty, a shooting video game. Both games have the same name and the same genre. The truth is a marvel.
Otra cosa que amo es la aparición de otros personajes de videojuegos reales como Mario o Sonic, o las referencias a videojuegos famosos como Hero's Duty, que no es más que una clara referencia a Call of Duty, un videojuego de disparos. Ambos juegos se llaman parecido y tienen el mismo género. La verdad una maravilla.
The soundtrack is a delight, it automatically reminds you of the video games of yesteryear, it stirs the nostalgia of all of us who have been gamers for years and it is phenomenal as it is very much in keeping with the film.
El Soundtrack es una delicia, automáticamente recuerdas a los videojuegos de antaño, mueve la nostalgia de todos los que hemos sido jugadores desde hace años y es fenomenal ya que va muy acorde a la película.
I think that there is no animated film of that time better worked and cared for than Ralph the Demolitionist and it was really noticeable how much love they put into creating and developing it, although its sequel was not even a quarter as good as this film, you can always watch this jewel to enjoy good designs, beautiful photography and an excellent story.
Creo que no hay película animada de esa época mejor trabajada y cuidada que Ralph el Demoledor, y es que se notó de verdad el gran cariño que le pusieron al crearla y desarrollarla, si bien su secuela no fue ni la cuarta parte de buena que esta película, siempre se puede mirar esta joya para disfrutar de buenos diseños, una fotografía preciosa y una excelente historia.
